Logitech Bluetooth won' work

Hello, I have a Logitech bluetooth headset which worked perfectly with my ti powerbook 3 months ago (I have a D-Link adapter) with Skype. Now I am trying to use it and every time I go to the sound option on the System Preferences, the application stops working. If I try to use Skype, the application also stops working and I have to Force quit, the same as in the System Preferences. Any ideas to make it work again, I really don't want to reinstall everything.
Thanks
Jonathan

Resetting the PRAM will not help this problem. You need to try to reset the SMC which is what the article the SU listed was trying to do, but the section for the SMC reset was not specific to your book.
Try this method to reset the SMC:

If this is what you tried or if it does not work, well i apologize for waisting your time... Go see the Genius.

  • Need serious help. Time is incorrect and bluetooth won't work

I have iPhone 5c and the time is not right. The bluetooth won't connect or even appear. Problem started about 6 weeks ago when I did the update to ios8. I've read as much as I can about the problem. I've did every reset possible and nothing works.
I'm one month past the year warranty. Conveniently. I'm about 40 mins from the nearest Apple store.
Is there a solution or do I need to prepare for this to be junked and go to a Samsung?

    Hi Ejjones55,
It sounds quite distressful that your iPhone will not keep proper time and the Bluetooth module does not appear to be functioning correctly. I am going to try to get you back on track so you can use your iPhone as it is intended.
Since you have already reset (restarted) your iPhone, the next step would be to back up any data that you have on it and restore as a new device. See this article for how -
How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.

  • 6822 Bluetooth Stopped working - won't switch on

After all the trouble I went to to get PC-Suite and my Bluetooth Stack working on my laptop, this morning I switch my 6822 on and Bluetooth won't turn on.
From the menu I select Bluetooth which is showing as "Off", I select it and the select 'On' and it immediately returns to the menu showing Bluetooth is 'Off'. There is no Bluetooth symbol on the main screen and the phone doesn't respond to bluetooth conenction requests.
I'm guessing that is is broken!
I've switched it off, removed the battery and left it, put it all back together and still no bluetooth.
Are there any top tips before I throw it in the bin?

    Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

  • Since the latest apple update, voice navigation has gone away.  Tried the Airplane mode fix, which worked, but now my bluetooth won't work in my vehicle.  What's up?

Since the latest apple update, voice navigation has gone away.  Tried the Airplane mode fix, which worked, but now my bluetooth won't work in my vehicle.  What's up?

Well Bababooey if you're comparing yourself to a Apple Genius Bar then you should already know my answer, your snarky remark get a snarky reply.  Why would I go to a salesperson to fix my computer problem when I can go directly go to the source itself.  I used to sell Apple computers over 8 years ago and was apple certified before the Genius bar existed. If I am to go about fixing an issue I can't fix on my own I will go to the source itself meaning Apple's programmers and developers - being UI UX Developer myself I know they should have QA'd all platforms and troubleshooted any arising issues.
This was also the first time in the 20 years I've been using a Mac that I even attempted to go on this forum which i thought would put me in connection with a certified Apple representative.  This turned out to be a complete waste of time just being a public forum with no Apple employee involved.  I was hoping to find a quick fix but in turn I was only frustrated with stupid responses such as yours that were in no way an answer to my original question.
BTW I fixed the issue on my own and without your help or Apples help. I'm glad if all forums point here regarding this issue because I now have the answer. The answer I was looking for from someone earlier was as simple as this {Download Maverick and reinstall the platform - it will take an hour to do but afterward 10.9.2 was installed and my computer is now able to shutdown and restart without having to do a hard boot.}  No more software update bar at top and no problems with my drive which I told both you and Grant - I know my computer better than you and I've probably been using them longer than you.
So again Babowa you were so wrong...... and I am right.
Again anyone having the same problem, I suggest reinstalling Maverick and you'll be suprised 10.9.2 will work fine.

  • MBA won't connect to iPhone or Jambox via Bluetooth, but works with bluetooth Apple Mouse

MBA won't connect to iPhone or Jambox via Bluetooth, but works fine with bluetooth Apple Mouse. When trying to pair with the iPhone it says "The Bluetooth Network is unavailable. There was an error connecting to your device. Make sure the device is turned on and in range." When trying to connect to the Jambox it says "Bluetooth audio failed. There was an error connecting to your headset. Make sure it is turned on and in range. The audio portion of the program you were using may have to be restarted." The iPhone and Jambox pair together fine, and I have paired with both the iPhone and the Jambox easily in the past. I haven't updated anything - it just stopped working with these two devices. This is very frustrating.

I could not pair with Uconnect on a 2011 Jeep after upgrading to iOS 8.2 on an iPhone 6. After shutting off iCloud and resetting network settings I was able to successfully pair the phone to Uconnect

  • VN7-791G all bluetooth devices like Logitech mouse not working after Windows 10 upgrade

After upgrading to Windows 10 on my 2 month old Acer VN7-791G, my Logitech bluetooth mouse could not pair, my bluetooth speakers could not pair and neither could by Nexus 7.  All these devices were working fine on Win 8.1 earlier. Under Device Manager, only the generic Windows Bluetooth, Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator and LE Enumerator drivers were showing (dated  21/6/2006).  Under Network adapters, the driver showing was the Qualcomm Atheros QCA64x4 ver 10.0.0.62 dated 18/5/2015. I checked that this model is indeed compatible under ACER's website for Windows 10.  I have also been checking the ACER drivers for Win 10 for this model but there are no new updated ones for Bluetooth. I downloaded the Win 8.1 ones and installed them but they still would not work (the Microsoft ones are still showing under Device Manager). I had to actually downgrade back to 8.1 a few days ago due to this issue but thought I would try to update to Windows 10 again hoping it would work but still no luck.  I had googled but can't seem to find a solution and suspect that I need an updated bluetooth driver for Windows 10 from Acer or Broadcom.  The Atheros website do not have any Windows 10 bluetooth drivers as well. I may have to downgrade again and try again in a few months time unless someone could please point me in the right direction. Thank you.

Yay! Success at last!  Well, I had to resort to drastic measures which I was dreading and delaying. Basically, I rolled back to Windows 8.1 Then Reset PC to Factory Setting.  This wiped out all data and applications/programs After getting back to default Windows 8.1, I tried pairing my bluetooth mouse and it worked I then immediately installed Windows 10 (from ISO file downloaded earlier) off a USB stick I chose the option for a clean install (this doesn't load any of the ACER bloatware) Once logging into Windows 10,I went into Device Manager and uninstalled all Bluetooth drivers Then I ran the setup for the Windows 8.1 Atheros bluetooth drivers as suggested - "LITE-ON Bluetooth_M 3rd WiFi 2x2 AC+ BT M.2 QCA NFA344_3.0.0.373_W81x64" I tried pairing my mouse and Nexus 7 and it works!!! For reference, here is my setup under Windows 10 after successfully pairing bluetooth devices. btw, interesting to see that the event log still reports some error about further installation just like earlier - probably indicates that the Win 8.1 Acer drivers are not 100% compatible yet.

  • Logitech bluetooth speaker adapter kaput since update

Since the new Mac OS X 10.7.3 update, my Logitech Bluetooth speaker adapter has not functioned. When I choose to use it as my audio device, there is a very long pause and then I receive the message "A Bluetooth audio error occurred." (Normally, I wait through a short pause after which I hear a beep from my stereo speakers that tells me that the Logitech adapter is working.)
This device has been working fine since I bought it two months ago. It hasn't worked since the update.
    I'm running a MacBook Pro (2.2GHx Intel Core 2 Duo w/ 4GB 667 RAM).
Anyone else having this problem? I am not sure if this problem is directly related to the update. Just looking for info right now.

Greetings everyone! I reinstalled Lion and paired my Logitech Bluetooth Headset at 10.7.2. But the system won't connect to it after updating to 10.7.3.
    Finally I made my bluetooth headset work again. Here's how I did it;
    1. In Preference>Bluetooth, remove my paired device. Reboot mac.
    2. Deleted the following two files in Library/Preferences/
    ---com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
    ---com.apple.Bluetooth.plist.lockfile
(These files will be reconstructed by the system)
The system will ask for your administration password. Reboot mac.
    3. In Preference>Bluetooth, pair my BT headset again and assign it to be the audio device. You may find the BT device not connected, then by playing a music or youtube video, connection should be established and sound is output.
    4. Reboot to make sure BT headset work steadily(leave the BT headset turned on). But I encountered kernel panic and forced restart (twice!) Upon the third restart, I logged in, and BT headset worked properly.
The normal situation is, Mac automatically connects to BT headset few seconds after the headset is turned on. And I think we can just turn off BT deveice (whenever we don't need them) instead of disabling Bluetooth in Preference. Just leave the BT settings, so next time your Mac sees the BT device, it automatically connects to it.
I hope the above information can be helpful. Any comments are welcomed!

  • Bluetooth not working in Windows 7 x64

    Hi,
My MBP is primarily used as a Windows 7 x64 box. Up until a couple of days ago, I've been using a bluetooth Logitech mouse and pairing with my iPhone without any problems. Two days ago, the mouse simply stopped working and I now cannot detect any Bluetooth devices from within Windows. Nor can my iPhone detect my MBP. The mouse works fine in Snow Leopard, however. Things I've tried so far include:
    * Changing the batteries on the mouse
    * Full power off, leave for a couple of hours, and back on again
    * Resetting the PRAM
    * Unpairing the mouse in Snow Leopard, then trying again in Windows
    * Uninstalling all Bootcamp drivers and services, then reinstalling Bootcamp 3.0
    * Updating to Bootcamp 3.1 and then 3.2
    * Swapping the Bluetooth radio driver from the Apple Broadcom Built-In Bluetooth to the Broadcom Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR
    * Removing all hidden and absent devices from within Device Manager
    * System Restore (failed, for some reason)
    * Installing the WIDCOMM / Broadcom Bluetooth driver set from an installer for an Asus laptop.
About the only thing I haven't done is a full re-install of Windows 7, but I'm really keen to avoid that if I can...
Oh ... this did happen before, sort of. Bluetooth mouse simply stopped working. I could discover the mouse, but Windows couldn't connect. I put it down to the mouse itself and bought another one, which worked fine. A few weeks after that, the mouse stopped working again. The Bluetooth radios section in Device Manager was missing completely. Rebooted into Snow Leopard and it seemingly couldn't find the Bluetooth hardware either. Booked an appointment with the Genius bar, drove down, turned it on ... and everything worked fine.
    Any ideas?

Check if your bluetooth is working under mac os - I had the same problem. When it's working under mac os then it's working under w7 64, too.

  • I have just updated my iPhone 4 with latest IOS 7 and now wi fi greyed out and Bluetooth not working. Tried reset, restore everything - no use. Its out of warranty too. I refuse to pay for a new phone when clearly this is an apple issue not phone issue.

Can anyone help? I updated my iPhone 4 with latest iOS 7 and now wi fi is greyed out, Bluetooth won't work and tbh am so angry! Phone now out of warranty so apple won't help without it costing me. Don't want to pay as its an apple problem not phone problem. It worked ok before. Tried everything, even clearing it down. Can't even back it up now unless I connect to a pc!

I have not had wifi since November when I upgraded to the newest IOS version.  I called the Apple help line and they told me some things to do and I tried them all and they worked for a few hours and then wifi shut off again.  I kept doing what they told me and it worked for a couple more days and then I could never turn it on again.  My blue tooth doesn't work either.  I had to actually increase my data usage with AT&T becuase of this.  When I did that in December I went to the Apple store and was told that it is a hardware issue and since my phone is out of warranty I would have to pay for a new phone because they could not fix the issue.  My upgrade isn't up until June 2014 so not only do I have to wait for the upgrade and I am not paying for a new phone but I have to pay $10 plus extra a month on my cell phone bill because I was going over on my Data!!!  I have been beyond upset about this and Apple is not doing anything about this nor did they offer up some way to resolve the issue because obviously it is not just some rare incident if several people are having this issue.  Who knows how many people out there have had this issue and have not said anything about it.  Now there is a newer update that I can't do because it requires wifi in order to download.
June can not get here fast enough and I may not go back to Iphone after dealing with this for so long with no help from Apple.

  • Bluetooth Stopped Working on my iMac!

    My Hardware:
iMac Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz
    3GB RAM
    Snow Leopard 10.6.2
The Bluetooth functionality of this computer stopped working. It doesn't recognize my previously paired wireless Mighty Mouse. Nor any other BT devices.
When I tried to change some settings with the BT icon up at the top edge of the screen, it does show that BT is "on". When I tried to manually connect my wireless mouse with the BT option screen it will not connect. I've also noticed something very unusual. If I got to run "System Preferences", I can access all of the various things I have in System Preferences, EXCEPT for Bluetooth. If I click on "Bluetooth" in System Preferences, I get the spinning beach ball and sys pref "hangs".
If I go to the top of my screen and click on the BT icon at the top edge, one of the option is to "Turn Bluetooth Off". (I thought I could click BT off and then back on again to see if it resets.) Yet despite clicking that, the BT status doesn't change. In other words, I can't turn it off, change settings or "do anything with it"! I have tried to use the "minus sign" to delete the previously paired Mighty Mouse and then to re-add it but the command (delete device) does not register.
I've never had problems with BT on this 3 year old iMac. However, what precipitated this problem was me trying to run Techtool Pro on the internal HD to "defrag" and optimize it. After running Techtool Pro, the computer wouldn't boot. Fortunately, I had a clone of my iMac's HD on a FireWire drive and cloned it back to the internal drive. However, since getting everything back up and running, BT has stopped working!!!
I've tried rebooting the machine, rebooting the machine after a 1 min power down, doing a PRAM(?) reset boot, etc. All to no avail.
Anyone with any ideas as to how to "reset" or troubleshoot this BT problem?

Yes, starting up from the Mac OS X installation is just a test. Don't go past Installer's first screen, although you can go up to the menu bar and run Disk Utility from under Utilities. That will give you more things to do with the mouse than just moving it around the screen.
Also, while you are in Disk Utility, you should go to the +First Aid+ tab and run +Repair Disk+ on your internal drive.
Then you can quit Disk Utility and Installer, and restart normally. Just to be thorough, once you are started up again normally, run Disk Utility and use +Repair Disk Permissions+. It probably won't help with this problem, but you never know... I would restart and try the Bluetooth one more time.
I assume if the BT mouse doesn't show up after the system boots off the OS install disc, this might suggest the iMac's BT hardware is faulty and might need replacement?
Possibly. I'm assuming an Apple Bluetooth mouse works when booted from the installation disc, since many Macs now only come with Bluetooth mice. But I'm not 100% sure.
Also, do you also use a Bluetooth keyboard? If that mouse is your only Bluetooth device, it is possible that the iMac is fine, and the mouse is malfunctioning. The batteries are not getting low? Even if they are strong, did you try taking the batteries out for a few minutes and putting them back in?
And what if I the BT mouse is functional after I boot up with the OS install disc? What might you suggest as the next step
If you have an external drive that can be erased, you can install a test system on that drive. Set the iMac to boot from that fresh system. See of Bluetooth is working properly. Otherwise, you will need to back up your data, then reinstall a fresh system on your internal drive.

  • Imac bluetooth not working with apple keyboard or magic mouse

Brand new imac won't connect to the bluetooth apple keyboard or magic mouse. I bought a usb keyboard and mouse to finish setup, but still cannot get them to connect. I tried going to system preferences, bluetooth, and trying to connect that way. I got halfway through the bluetooth keyboard setup until the connection failed. In the bluetooth setup assistant it cannot find any devices, despite them being in "discovery mode."
I tried connecting the mouse to my macbook pro and it worked fine, so I feel it is something wrong the the Imac's bluetooth.
Any guesses what might be going wrong here?

This fits with the observable results, however it does seem a little odd. The apple engineers coud have at least written the software to say something like, " I see an Iphone, but I can't do anything with it." Currently, it seem to behave like there is a problem with bluetooth connectivity. Not that the bluetooth is working fine, it just has nothing it can do with the two devices.
What you are trying to say has no sens. Check Apple TV manual and informations what bluetooth on this device is for and what options is giving to you before blaiming engineers for not making something straight.
Apple Tv 3rd (and 2nd) generation doesn't have a built-in storage and is more as a streaming device not syncing device. I suggest you read about Apple TV 3rd gen features and functionalyty and also about home sharing, airplay and airplay mirroring, apple remote app.

Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.
