Logitech Keyboard problem

Since I updated from tiger I hace a weird problem....
Suddenly my USB cordless keyboard (Logitech cordless desktop ex ex 110) changed a few keys by it's own it's not very annoying but I usually use them.
The given keys are < for º, and my keyboard layout is spanish (ISO) but I have the very same problem if I switch it to spanish or even english.....
Any Ideas¿? ^^

  • MSI K8T NEO and Logitech keyboard problem

I have a Logitech Internet Navigator keyboard with all these mediakeys.
I'm using the onboard soundcard and the optical öutput on the board, but when I'm using the volume keys on the keyboard the volume dosn't change at all.
If I raise the Master volume in the sound control panel, nothing happens. Master volume has NO effekt, only the MUTE. But if i use the volume sliders for WAVE, I can control the sound again. The problem is that the keyboard is raising the MASTER volume in Windows, so my mediakeys has no effekt anymore.
Does anyone have the same problem or is it only a problem for the optical output?? I have tried installing keyboard and drivers in any possible combination just to be sure it wasn't me. Could this be a driver issue or am I missing something.

  • Problems connecting Logitech keyboard and iPad2

I have problems connecting a logitech keyboard to my iPad2. I've succeed in pairing the same keyboard both with an iPad1 and my MacBook Pro, so the keyboard is OK.

I am having the same problem as well. I would like to use my new iPad AIR as my primary computer for meetings and travel. I use teamviewer to remote in to my office work station and my logitech keyboard does not work at all. Have you found any resolution to this problem?
    Thanks.

  • Keyboard problems:  hardware or software?

The keyboard on my iBook G4 has dead keys, not all in a row but grouped on the right side of the keyboard (they include the enter key, 'l', the comma, and three or four others). There's no obvious damage to the keyboard (I've lifted the keyboard out and inspected the connector, and nothing looks cracked or broken).
Is there any means to tell if this is a hardware v. software problem? I can use my logitech keyboard and mouse with the iBook (in fact, I'm doing that now). I've restarted, repaired permissions, zapped the PRAM and run other maintenance scripts with no success.
    Thanks!

I don't have a firewire external hard drive or a bootable backup (I do have a Time Machine backup to a USB hard drive, but I don't see that I can boot from that external drive). I did boot from the OS10.5 disk, but of course there's nothing (so far as I can see) that allows me, once booted, to test the keyboard -- i.e., no text edit.
I can use my external (logitech) keyboard just fine, and nothing else seems to be wrong with the computer, so I'm leaning toward replacing the keyboard (I'm not against that anyway, just on the grounds of preventative maintenance). So, a related question: what's the best way to be sure that I buy the right replacement keyboard for my 1.42 GHz G4? Is the part number on the keyboard itself, or available through System Profile (I could not find it there). As always, thanks!

  • Magic Trackpad and Logitech keyboard hangs with Mavericks

Since updating to Mavericks, both my Logitech keyboard (DiNovo) and Magic Trackpad hang when chaning from one window to the next. I've reinstalled the latest drivers from Logitech, but that did not have any affect on the problem. Am I alone?

I had the same problem.  I had the DiNovo and the Magic Mouse connected to my iMac.  After the upgrade to Maverics, both devices would hang frequently (both when I selected to a new window and otherwise).
I got fed up and installed a USB keyboard, decommissioning the DiNovo.  I would have put away the Magic Mouse too, but I couldn't find my USB mouse.
Funny thing is, after I removed the DiNovo, the Magic Mouse seems to be working fine.

  • Wireless Logitech keyboard

If anybody has a positive experience of compatibility the K800 wireless Logitech keyboard with MAC OS X Version 10.7.3?
I connected the KB to Mac mini with "Unifing" (Logitech) software installed, but I do not have full functionality: I have no NumPad working. Some of keys respond not correctly. For example, there is no "point" key at the Russian layout.
I asked Logitech support for the driver and they told: "All Logitech products works on standard OS drivers and if you have any problems with it it is better to contact Apple..."
Below - my correspondence with the Logitech support:
Logitech 02/28/2012 10:35 AM Dear Aeksei  Thank you for contacting Logitech's Customer Care. Sorry, but no one has experience K800 on the MAC OS X Version 10.7.3  Best advise to you is to contact apple. They might help you with drivers.   Kind Regards Denis M. Logitech Customer Care - Asia-Pacific
Aleksei Pariy     02/27/2012 08:47 PM Thank you for the prompt reply. First of all, I want to assure you that the keyboard itself is working. It works without any problems in Windows 7.  Mac Mini also properly functioning, I believe. It had been just bought and tested true. But, the keyboard in Mac OS X ... When I try to change the keyboard type, system reports that the keyboard should be identified and invites to press the key, right to "left shift" key. Then the system prompts to select the keyboard type of the three options:
    - ISO European
    - ANSI U.S.
    - JIS Japan
None of these options lets work NumPad. I have no NumPad working. Some of keys respond not correctly. For example, there is no "point" key at the Russian layout.  Please let me know if anybody has a positive experience with the K800 an the MAC OS X Version 10.7.3?
Logitech 02/27/2012 03:38 PM Dear Aeksei  Thank you for contacting Logitech's Customer Care.  You can use your keyboard on Mac. Only we do not have Software for it, but it should work without any s/w. All Logitech products works on standard OS drivers and if you have any problems with it it is better to contact Apple of Microsoft.  To test keyboard you can try it on different PC and if problem stays - it is hardware, if not - software.   Kind Regards Denis M. Aleksei Pariy     02/26/2012 10:50 AM Could I use Your K800 keyboard with Mac Mini (OS X Lion) and Unifing software installed? I use it, but not complete functionality. Could You indicate me the driver.

    I have tried advice of Klaus1at http://bit.ly/wgi53h
Unfortunately it does not help. Logitech Control Centre says: No Logitech Device Found. The KB and Logitech mouse are possible to be controled only thpough Unifing software.

  • Emoji not working on logitech keyboard

I had a problem using emoji on my ipad. I have a logitech keyboard. Apple support sugested pressing function and 5 button. On my danish Ipad it was fn button and 3 to get the emoji .

Aha.  It took a few apps til I got the right one. It is called  " Emoji Pro (Free) " there are so many emoji apps.  This one has a yellow smiley face with a big grin on a blue background.  I did use an updated version from my apps on my Mac, I did notice it wants update so I hope it still works for you.  You start app, press activate, reboot device and hopefully you'll see Emoji appear in the keyboards section.  I just looked at my keyboards and Emoji is missing after !!!  However it is still active whew!!! Lol. I suggest immediately activating after reboot. I had a Japanese keyboard also active at the time , I don't think that matters.  Good luck dude.  If says it can't be done , ask someone more enlightened and experienced.    hmmmm will emoji show here ? ❌❔❕ and wow it activates the newer emoji that is on iOS 5 also , there a few different emoji smilies :).  Emoji is awesome but iMessage with animated " gifs" is my new favourite.
And since I'm here thanks for the free stuff Apple , hire people that are literate with your products and security before giving me free stuff. Lmao. An iPhone and altec-Lansing backbeats free.

  • Logitech keyboard won't turn on

Just purchased the iPad mini with a logitech keyboard one month ago. The keyboard will not turn on today. Anyone else with a similar problem?

If they are new, the warranty is in effect. Rather than waste time, I would take it back for diagnosis.

  • Two keys swapped with Logitech keyboard

    Hi,
I am using a Logitech PC keyboard (dinovo). It works fine except for the fact that the keys for °^ and >< are swapped. This was the way with earlier versions of Mac OS and I recently read a review of a new logitech keyboard in a computer magazine and they mentioned the same problem.
Is there a way to fix this? All other external keyboards work fine. I also have a USB PC keyboard. No problem.
It would be great if there was a solution.
    Thanks!

Yeah, because the Logitech one is a kernel extension and a preference pane, so it cannot run under Rosetta. Logitech's site does say that they are working on an Intel version, but it'll probably be a while before it sees the light of day.

  • Error- bootr unkwown word, imac 266 HELP! Logitech keyboard

I was trying to upgrade my daughters imac, an old 266, with 224 ram (I think, I upgraded the ram a while ago) I tried installing osX (it had 8.5) and it seemed like it worked for that day, when I shut it down and tried to turn it on the next day it gave me the following error code: bootr unknown word, failed to boot, apple imac open, firmware 3 0 f3, .... it continues. I tried to start it up with its original startup disk, it doesnt do anything, I hold down the c key it only gives me the white screen with the error code. I have a Logitech keyboard because it was the cheapest I could find at the time I was on a budget. The keyboard is different, I think. I dont think I can reset the pram since the keyboard is different. What can I do? Please give me some suggestions.
    Thanks

Somehow you posted in the wrong forum. This area is for OS 9.x users. You will need to re post your question in the iMac (CRT) Forums where the iMac (CRT) users hang out can see your question & help you.

Prior to installing OS X on an iMac you must "FIRST" update your firmware.

Your profile says that you're using OS X (10.0.x). That was a beta (experimental) version of OS X.
With your late model iMac, I would recommend that you either upgrade to Jaguar or Panther (if you insist on using the Cat Systems) or go back to OS 9.1 or 9.2.2. & make sure you max out your RAM.

  • Migrated User Account Keyboard Problem AFTER Login

I have a brand-new MacBookPro (with multi-touch trackpad) that came with Leopard preinstalled. When I first started up the new computer, I set up a new administrator user account first. Then I used Migration Assistant to migrate my primary user account from my PowerBook G4, which is running the latest version of Tiger. I can log into my old user account with the same password I have always used, and everything looks fine--my old desktop is there, my Mail, iCal and iTunes settings all look great, etc.--but I can't use the keyboard. I can use the mouse to click on menus; the keys for the volume and backlight controls work, and some of the keys on the right side of the keyboard work (which seems particularly weird), but I can't do anything else with the keyboard. When I log out of the account and try to go back to the new admin account, the keyboard no longer works at all until I reboot. If I go directly into the new admin account, the keyboard is fine; it only starts locking up AFTER I log into my old user account. I have not had any keyboard problems with any other user accounts that I have created from scratch on the MacBookPro, nor have I had problems with the other user accounts I migrated from the PowerBook. After consulting with an Apple rep on the phone, I have tried the following things:
    1. deleting my migrated keychain file on the problem user account and letting it make a new login keychain;
    2. deleting the original default keychain on the PowerBook and re-running the Migration Assistant;
    3. deleting the problem user on the MacBookPro using the option of creating a disk image, and then creating an empty file in the Users folder with the same name as the problem user account and then dragging the files from the disk image into the folder, and then creating a new version of the user account with the same name, password, etc.;
    4. running Disk Utility to fix permissions (multiple times);
    5. I have completely erased and reinstalled the system on the MacBookPro using the install DVDs twice. The first time, I ran Migration Assistant immediately after the "Welcome," and the second time I set up a new administrator account first and then ran Migration Assistant.
    6. I have also tried the steps outlined in this article: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306840.
    7. I have tried moving my user files over by hand but then I have a ton of permission problems and I was having trouble getting my Mail settings/mailboxes to move over properly. I've spent hours and hours on this.
I have NEVER had so much trouble upgrading to a new computer or a new OS in all the years I've owned Macs! What am I missing???

Well...I'm not sure which of the following fixed my problem, but once I realized it was something to do with the numeric keypad keys, I went into both the Keyboard & Mouse preferences and the Universal Access preferences and I made sure that I set everything back to the default settings. I suspect that going to Keyboard&Mouse-->Keyboard Shortcuts and clicking on "Restore Defaults" is what did the trick. So far, so good. I hope this helps somebody else; I couldn't find anything else anywhere about this somewhat quirky problem.

  • Keyboard problems out of the box with iPhone 3g

My iPhone 3g is showing strange keyboard behavior, typically starts when launching the SMS app.
The "P" and Backspace keys, the keys on the rightmost part of the touch area, are non-responsive. The issue will correct itself after 15 mins or so, but it's become very annoying.
I've made sure I'm not touching any other part of the screen as a possible cause. Showed it to and had three other iPhone users see what I see and they all agree it seems like a bug, just to confirm it's not me.
Took it to the Apple Store and of course the iPhone behaves when showing it to the Genius.
Anyone else experienced keyboard problems with 2.0 firmware?

Well, I took my 16GB iPhone 3g (white) back to the Apple Store today and the Genius looked it over -- said that's the first keyboard problem he's seen come in and mentioned that it was strange the "dead zone" on the touch screen was vertical since, according to him, most "dead zones" tend to be horizontal areas. He said the touch screen matrix is laid out in three horizontal bands on the screens.
Bottom line: he gave me a new working iPhone 3g.
He did mention that all returned iPhone 3g's are being sent directly back to the iPhone 3g engineering team for full "autopsies", not just sent back to factory for refurb. He said they want to fully diagnose and understand what defects are out there so as to solve the root cause moving forward.

  • HELP! Keyboard problems

    HELP!
I have tried all sorts of things, like:
    - removed syst prefs to desktop then restarted
    - un-done, re-done, re-booted various options in International and Keyboard & Mouse
    - run disk utility, both from startup CD AND in target disk mode
    - ran permission smasher
    - swapped out different keyboards and/or mice
...but these are my keyboard problem symptoms:
    - numeric keypad not working
    - the shift key (for caps & shift characters) not working&
    - commands (i.e., "Select All") not working
...the keyboard does not work in any native Mac appl (e.g., Mail, Safari, TextEdit).
The only time my keyboard will work correctly is when I create a test new user and log-in. So it's just for me as user.
Also, oddly enough, keyboard prefs do not show up anywhere.
Anyplace where I should see something, such as
Library>preferences - there should be a file com.apple.keyboardtype.plist --- there is no file in any of the folders anywhere.
All of a sudden the keyboard stopped working, but the mouse attached to it still works. I have no clue what to do to fix it and my AppleCare has ran out.
Other things I have noticed and tried:
    - running tech tool
    - repairing permissions
    - switching usb ports for the keyboard from the back of the display
    - removing the mouse from the back of the keyboard
    - unplugging everything but the keyboard and mouse
    ...any ideas???

    Hi, DR -
The numeric keypad not working sounds like MouseKeys became enabled in the Universal Access part of System Preferences.
The Shift key and Command keys not working sounds like Sticky Keys became enabled in the Universal Access part of System Preferences.
Check the Universal Access control pane in System Preferences - if those features are checkmarked, try unchecking them.

My Logitech keyboard no longer connects to my iPad mini?

    Is your keyboard charged?
    If it is, then ...
on your iPad go to Settings > Bluetooth
    1)  Does your keyboard appear under Devices?
    2)  Does it appear under Now Discoverable?
If the answer to (2) is yes, touch it to discover it, and then it should appear under Devices.
If the answer to (1) is yes, touch it to connect to it.
If you have done the above and it refuses to connect, then touch the little blue i beside your keyboard's name, and then choose Forget this Device.
Now turn your keyboard off and then on.  The little light on your keyboard should come on.  See if it appears on your iPad as discoverable.
If that doesn't work press the button on the behind the power slider on your keyboard.  The light on the keyboard should flash blue.  Now see if it is discoverable.
If that still doesn't work Reset your iPad, then turn your keyboard off and on.
to Reset your iPad:  Hold both the Home and Power buttons down for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears.  Let go promptly when the logo appears.  Wait another 30 seconds for your iPad to turn itself on.  No data will be lost.
