Logitech quick cam ultra

I have a quick cam ultra that works great with ichat, the only problem is that it's not recognized on boot up. every time i boot up i have to unplug the camera from the usb port and plug it back in, then all is well. This is a bit of a pita to have to get under the desk everytime i bootup. Any ideas on how to get it to recognize on boot up?
Thanks, tim

  • Logitech Quick Cam pro 9000 is not working with Mountain Lion's dictation

The Logitech Quick Cam pro 9000 is not working with Mountain Lion's dictation.
Opening the dictation system preference panel makes the system preferences crash...
The mic of that camera is the only mic I have.
I own a Mac Pro and an old Cinema Display which has no built-in cam/mic.
    Anyone having the same issue?
I hope this is gonna be fixed with 10.8.1.

    Hello, thank you for responding.
Unplug and plug in back the camera does not solve this problem. I tried that before.
But what worked was to start photo booth. Don't really know why.
So after every restart of the mac I have to start photo booth and dictation with the QuickCam is working. ^^

  • Logitech Quick Cam Vision Pro for Mac not working in iChat.

Whenever I try to use iChat with my Logitech camera i get either a message saying "there is no camera attached" or "another program is using the camera". Rebooting helps for a while and it will work, but if I open Preferences then the problem arises again. Unplugging the camera and replacing it is no help - even bypassing a hub and plugging directly into the computer. The audio works fine and the mic choice is the camera's - no problem. Skype video also works perfectly. This seems to be a problem ever since I upgraded to Snow Leopard - I never had this problem before.

    Hi,
Prior USB 2.0 and UVC compliant Cameras there has always been problems with Logitech cameras and their Drivers.
There were two third party Drivers for Macs that could be used and the iUSBCam utility.
However Broadly speaking UVC compliant cameras working over USB 2.0 and Snow Leopard have seen iUSBCam fall in to the Unsupported on Leopard group.
It seems that some of the Pro variants of Logitech cameras are still having issues with the Mac OS in Snow Leopard.
The Windows Vista Driver for UVC is/was fairly feature rich in what you could adjust/access about the camera settings.
The Mac version implemented at OS 10.4.9 is less frilly.
Some cameras are 1.3mp but ichat only uses a max of 640 X 480 pixels pics (0.3Mp) and it is unlcear if some cameras will allow this to work smoothly.
I would also try a PRAM reset.
    Shut down the computer.
Restart it holding down APPLE(or ⌘)ALT+PR Keys until you have heard three Start Up Bongs.
This may reset things further/deeper than a reboot does.
Based on historical evidence I would suspect the camera's side of the UVC implementation not allowing a proper step down to lower pixel sampling.
Of Course it could be the way Snow Leopard does this or the UVC driver in itself (although both seem to work with other makes of cameras)

  • Quick Camera function

    Hello
When I use the quick camera launching via the button on the side (the phone is in locked mode when I try this), the camera shows up as is should but when I try to change the camera mode, like from automatic to manual mode, the camera close and I am back to the unlock screen when I can type in a pin code. When I push the quick camera button again, the camera shows up but the mode has not been changed.  It will still be in the auto mode (8 MP).
Am I doing anything wrong here ??
    Petter

    Okay.
    Thank you.  I understand.
I tried to do the same after I first unlocked the phone.  I could change mode now to what I wanted but when I locked the phone and again used the quick camera button it was back to Auto mode again.
Seems to be the default mode when I enter quick lauch camera ????
Auto is only 8 Mp and I would like it to be in Manual mode all the time no matter if I use the quick camera button or start the camera with the camera icon.
    Is that possible ??

  • Quick Camera not working after 4S software update...

After installing newest iphone 4S software update the quick camera function no longer works. Is there a solution to this problem?

Thanks, did not realize you had to slide the camera button up! Before you just had to tap it.
So, do you also know why the "Play, forward, and reverse" buttons" along with the slide bar "volume", show up on the same screen? (i.e. when I double click to get the quick camera button, these show up at the top of my screen directly under the Time. But I can't get them to do anything when I tap em.)  Brian

Are there plans to make group video available via a Logitech video cam?  If so do you have a timeline?

Hello! I assume that you already have a Logitech TV Cam. Can you tell me how good is it?

  • Logitech TV Cam Not Starting with Google TV

I was able to login my first room from Google TV, but when I went to start my webcam I was unable to start the Logitech TV Cam. Any idea if there is support for this camera ( it is the camera accessory listed for all the Logitech Revues given away at MAX this year ) ?
    Richard

I just tried the Logitech Vision Pro, a UVC camera for the Mac (works with Windows as well), but it did not connect to the webcam pod. It is advertised to work with the Logitech Vid application. That application comes installed with Google TV. I also tried a Microsoft Lifecam HD without success.
The Android version on Google TV is 2.1 I believe. Will the Flash Player for Android support that version? Looks like 2.2 is the target of the 10.1 beta.

  • Quick camera button sets the camera in automatic settings.

    Hi,
A friend is having troubles with his Z3 :
He used to take pictures with the quick camera launch button, but since a recent camera or system update, when he use this button, the camera is set to automatic mode instead of manual, with poor resolution and quality settings. If he launches the camera with the standard button from the phone menu, everything is fine and perfectly set up.
When the camera is used from the quick button and set back to the correct quality settings and manual mode, after closing it, it goes back to auto mode with bad settings. Same thing when he slides the camera icon from the locked screen. The only way to get the proper settings when launching the camera is to use the icon from the phone's menu.
He tried a lot of thigs, from uninstalling the camera updtades to searching everywhere on the internet, there is no informations or messages about this problem.
Where is this problem coming from ? The quick button is unusable since that update, it's a shame !
    Thanks in advance !

Well not really, I had it too and we are 100% sure that the quick camera button starts the camera in it's deffault settings since a recunt update.
What would be the point anyway of a button like this if the camera isn't usable ?! The aspect ratio is even set to 16:9 in 8mpx instead of 4:3 12mpx…
My friend is so used to launch the camera with that button that now he keeps using it by "error" and take photos that are not proper to use later…
I'm personally using a nexus 5 and had some bad changes after some automatic updates too, but this one on the Z3 simply kill one of it's most useful feature, and since almost nobody is talking about it I'm afraid that it will stay like this forever.

  • Logitech security cameras are dropped constantly

Logitech security cameras are dropped constantly. am I just imagining this or did this start to happen when Comcast came out with its own security cameras? I reset my Logitech camera to work through the Comcast router about once ever

Well it sounds like they are wireless, are they?
if they are take a laptop and load the in home agent, and go to one of the locations where you have the most trouble, and run the wifi wizard from that location.
it will find if you have interference and automatically make an adjustment for you, then you can watch and retest it.
get the in home agent at www.verizon.com/connect

  • Mac os x plus quick cams using UVC = slow frame rates...

well i took your advice and picked up a logitech 9000 pro quickcam. this camera is uvc compatible and works out of the box on my macbook running 10.5.2.
the issue i am now having is that the uvc driver is bare bones and doesn't give any way to change the high resolution and low frame rate. the result is that the camera while very sharp gives unacceptable performance approaching 5 fps in any application including quicktime recording.
any ideas on how to resolve this annoyance? the uvc on the mac is unusable for me at this time because i communicate in American Sign Language and need normal smooth video that one gets with the built in i-sight.
    thanks in advance!

Unfortunately, I've not located any OSX drivers or software that allow higher framerates with standard UVC cams. There are a couple of options for you though - run bootcamp and run XP when you need to do signing, using the Windows software and drivers that came with your 9000. Or, buy an old Sony video camera, anything with firewire out will do, and are always available on eBay for about what you paid for the 9000.

  • Video Feed using multiple logitech USB cameras .... help!

I am a novice labview programmer that is undertaking a project in which i need to acquire several video feeds on a front panel in Labview.  i need the video feeds to have adjustable framerates and also monochrome feed would be a benefit.  My current problem is just knowing how to get started. I'm looking at avoiding Labview IMAQ if possible.  I have gotten the camera to work in labview under a sample code ( which is terribly confusing) so i know i have proper drivers installed and that it is indeed compatible with Labview.  The cameras i am using are the logitech C200 and C500 models with standard USB connectivity.
Any guidance would be much appreciated, as this school project needs some advancement and im stuck in a rut.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Sam,
    I'm back with questions!
I got the video feed to display using the link you gave me and a simple acquire within a while loop.  My current issue is acquiring a feed in grayscale (monochrome) within labVIEW.  I have tried using the express method (which lets me choose my display method) and also within my own program thati currently have up and running for multiple cameras, however i have no success.  Whatever i choose keeps my image in RGB 32.  I am wondering if it is the camera itself (which I doubt, because labVIEW conditions the signal regardless).
Also i would like to be able to adjust the framerate at which the cameras capture.  (Again i tried this within the express acquistion and get nothing.)
I'm thinking i may be able to accomplish this using a timed loop and vary clock speed, but this seems impractical within IMAQ.
Any guidance would be much appreciated.
    Thanks alot.
    Drew.

  • How do I get the Quick Camera Access to work on iPhone 4 under iOS 5?

I just upgraded my iPhone 4 to iOS 5, and the "extra button" on the locked screen shown in the iOS 5 documentation is not present.  How do I activate that feature?

Yes, apologies - 2 physical taps. My home button is a bit worn out so that didn't work the first few times. Even so - why not put the camera icon up by default, like the slideshow button in the iPad? Or, if you're making people perform a custom action to get it anyway (i.e. the double tap) why not make that go straight to the camera? Seems like unnecessary complexity.

  • Quick Camera - how is this possible?

I noticed a new app in photography category called "Easy Camera". It takes pictures super fast in low resolution (320x480). I tried out the app, and it can take 2-3 pictures per second. The app requires OS 2.2.1.
Does anybody know how this is possible? What feature/code is the developer accessing to make this happen?

    From the Data Sheet:
    CISCO 1000BASE-LX/LH GBIC
The Cisco 1000BASE-LX/LH GBIC (WS-G5486) fully complies with the IEEE 802.3z 1000BASE-LX standard. However, its higher optical quality allows it to reach 6.2 miles (10 kilometers) over single-mode fiber (SMF), compared with the 3.1 miles (5 km) specified in the standard.
    CISCO 1000BASE-ZX GBIC
The Cisco 1000BASE-ZX GBIC (WS-G5487) operates on ordinary single-mode fiber optic link spans up to 43.4 miles (70 km) long. Link spans of up to 62 miles (100 km) are possible using premium single-mode fiber or dispersion shifted single-mode fiber. The GBIC provides an optical link budget of 23 dB-the precise link span length will depend on multiple factors such as fiber quality, number of splices, and connectors.
When shorter distances of single-mode fiber are used, it might be necessary to insert an in-line optical attenuator in the link to avoid overloading the receiver:
NOTE: A 5-dB or 10-dB inline optical attenuator should be inserted between the fiber-optic cable plant and the receiving port on the Cisco 1000BASE-ZX GBIC at each end of the link whenever the fiber-optic cable span is less than 15.5 miles (25 km).
It looks like they both work OK with SM fiber.
LX is 1310 and ZX is 1550 which is also OK since (most) all Cisco RX optics are wide-band.
One thing you might check is the RX power to make sure the leves are within the spec.
