Logitech Webcam, Is Yahoo the problem?
I can't view my Moms new Logitech Quickcam Pro 5000 on my Mac! Only at work on the PC...Errgggg!!! Of course a 10 dollar used Veo worked great...I bought a new cam for Mothers Day and I can't view it on my (PowerPC) I-Mac G-5. Can anyone tell me if my Mac isnt able to view the new Logitech Quick cams?

See Yahoo Messenger for Mac Help. Use the contact info there if you cannot find the answer in the help pages. Yahoo technical support should be your best source of information on how to use their product with your system.
Based on my quick look, it seems that the current YMM video requires OS X 10.4-10.8. If you are using OS X 10.9.2, unless you can retreat to Mac OS X 10.8, your only fix for YMM video on your MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.2) will be to await a software solution from Yahoo!

EMac, Logitech webcam problem....
my mother has a eMac, she's running Mac OSX 10.3.9....
she's bought three separate logitech webcams: quickcam, quickcam deluxe, and the pro9000. none works on her computer. no software updates are necessary for her computer, we use skype, and it's also fully updated. she's tried all the usb ports on her computer, powering off and powering on, but the computer never seems to recognize the camera. no signs of life.
the strange thing is that she sent me the exact same webcam (quickcam for notebooks)... i've got an ibook g4-- and all i had to do was plug it in: it worked instantly without any install disk.

My original iPad will not log me into Yahoo through Safari. It's been this way for one week. I can access Yahoo on my PC with no problem so I think the problem is my iPad or Safari.
Your description of the behavior of the ipad1 during a login attempt is more precise than mine, it is the exactly as my ipad1 reacts and supposedly as all other iPad1 will behave. This could be solved either by apple with an update of the safari browser for ipad1. I do not think that apple will do that. Also yahoo could undo the change of the login procedure which they recently made and which is incompatible do the ipad1s safari browser. They hardly will do that either if not be urged by lots of ipad1 users.
!!!! SO SEND COMPLAINS TO YAHOO, PHONE THE HOTLINE ETC !!!!!!
Otherwise you have to buy a new iPad or to change the email provider. -
I use dial-up, FireFox 5.0, Yahoo addition 1.8. My screen load times have slowed down to a crawl. I have to wait and wait for a page to load. (I know --dial -up) It used to be much faster a month ago before 5.0. Is it FireFox or do I look to Yahoo for the problem? I don't know how to sort it out. Using Vista
I'm having the same problem. Dreamweaver is supper slow. Uploading and downloads from the server... any server I use two different servers. It times out all the time. Menus are slow too.
I'm on a MAC Pro, 6 gigs of ram no issues with anything else. I have talked to Apple they have checked everything for me. They say it's Dreamweaver. I've noticed the Dreamweaver is talking to the FTP even when I'm not doing anything.
I've tried cleaning out my MAC caches, turning off file check and check out. Still really slow. I've worked with Dreamweaver for 6 years never any issues like this before. 18 seconds to upload a 4 kb file. 11 seconds to download the same file. -
Hello, my father recently passed (using his ID) and I took over the payments on his mac and took his computer. I am not that familiar with mac, but am usually computer savy. However, this one has me stumped. I have no problem starting the built in cam and it seems to work fine with all other programs I've tried using it with. However, it will not work with yahoo. Whether I use normal yahoo messenger or if I try using Yahoo through I chat. The cam button will not light up, therefore, it is not clickable. Which ultimately means I cannot use my cam on yahoo, which is something I use 99% of the time compared to other programs. So why is this happening and what solutions can I take to try and fix this? The mac I am using is: Mac OS X, Version 10.7.4

1) If the iTunes preference window is open when you connect your iPod, the iPod will not be recognized by iTunes.
Also, iPods can work with many iTunes libraries, so that is not the problem here.
Is all the software on your computer up to date?

Does the iPod show up in My Computer when connected to your computer? Does it say Do Not Disconnect?

2) What part aren't you understanding. Here are a couple of free programs you can use to convert videos...

Videora iPod Converter
The programs should come with documentation and instructions to convert videos.
3) You can go to file-->add file to library, file-->add folder to library, or have iTunes open and drag the files into the iTunes library while viewing the library.. You can also import from CDs.
iTunes needs to be adding the songs to the iPod. You cannot just add the song files to the iPod.

When I try to open my Yahoo mail in safari, I get a message which states:" In order to use Yahoo mail, please turn Private Browsing off. Please go to Settings>Safari>Private Browsing, and turn off" The problem is, my ipad does not a Private Browsing switchat this location.
With iOS 7 on the iPad, you turn Private Browsing on and off by tapping the URL field. The screen that opens up has your bookmarks on it. In the bottom left corner is a hot button marked 'PRIVATE'. Tap on the word 'PRIVATE' to turn private browsing on or off. Yeah, there aren't any instructions anywhere that I can find to do this, and if you follow Yahoo's instructions, they don't work. This doesn't happen with the previous Apple OS, and you can restore your iPad to the older OS.

When i put my iPhone in the logitech dock and i start the music it stops at exactly 1 Minute. What's the problem? I cleaned the contacts, the same happened again. always after 1 minute the music pauses!
It is a known issue and un-conventional remedy.
It is Hardware failure. I would get the iPhone changed for a good one. -

Since I downloaded Firefox 4, I can't see attachments in my Yahoo mail. This is not a problem of Yahoo, because with Internet Explorer works fine. What is the problem?Ok, now they are showing. I restarted my computer again and they are showing now.

My iphone will not accept my new password for my email account. It keeps saying that the yahoo server is unavailable. what is the problem and how can I get my phone to accept m;y new password so I can once again get my mail on my phone?
This may work, try deleting the Yahoo email account from your phone and then re-add it, using your new Yahoo password.
If that doesn't work, log into your Yahoo account from a computer and double-check that you are entering the correct password. Also, your password may be case sensitive, so enter it into your iPhone the exact the same way you created it.

It might be helpful for us if we knew exactly which web-mail provider you are using. It seems strange to me that viewing or sending web-mail would actually "need" Java for operation, its more likely that some other item on the web page needs Java to run some advertising or other garbage that isn't a necessary part of the web-mail functionality you want to use. -
I have problems writing emails and having unresponsive pages on yahoo. I have no problems with other sites. the page flashes what's happening?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

Is the Logitech Webcam C930e fully Mac compatible?
Hi:
I'm looking for a quality webcam that is fully Mac-compatible, which is to say that not only will my Mac Book pro running 10.7.5 recognize the camera, but that I'll also be able to use the camera and software for full functionality.
I'll use it to teach piano with skype or some other similar type of software, so the mountabilty/portabilty of the cam to get a good view of the piano is critical.
I'm also wondering how one might use 2 cams in tandem, switching between views of me speaking and demonstrating at the piano as needed, but at the moment that's a side technical issue that I'm guessing would not be difficult to overcome.

MichaelThe Logitech support page says that the Logitech Webcam C930e is compatible with Macs running 10.7.x or greater so it should be compatible with your MacBook Pro.
