LogMeIn Hamachi Help
I looked everywhere and there is not that support PPC. Can anyone find me a program like LogMeIn Hamachi. (10.5PPC/XP/Vista/7)
i have a question about hamachi:
i downloadet it once and i thought it couldn´t help me.
so i tryed to remove hamachi form my mac by putting the programm into the trsh and then i deleted the stuff in my trash folder.
but after a few weeks i wantet to install it once again.
but the installer of the "LogMeinHamachi.pkg" stated that i hav an mor up-to-date version installed already...
What can i o now? I`m searching for a way to remove hamachi kopletely, to reinstall it.
is there a trick i didn `t know?
I `m using a simply MacBook with snow leopad (Version 10.6.8)

Logmein-hamachi weird behaviour
Hi.
I have a weird problem with ssh connection through logmein-hamachi. Everything seems to be fine, but I can't connect to one host in my private network.
There are 3 hosts in my hamachi network, each one is in different location. On my laptop (let say HOST.A) I have installed hamachi in latest version from AUR (ver. 2.1.0.86). The same version is installed on HOST.B.

There is also third host (HOST.C) which is located in other country and there is hamachi ver. 2.1.0.17 on this host. Arch on HOST.C wasn't updated for a while, so hamachi is starting there by entry in /etc/rc.conf. There is a fresh install of Arch on HOST.A (my laptop) and HOST.B.
Hamachi network looks like this:

As we can see HOST.B and HOST.C are visible.
I can connect by ssh to HOST.C, there is no problem with this. Also I can connect from HOST.C to my host. Problem is, that I can't connect to HOST.B from other hosts in my hamachi network and also HOST.B can't connect to them.
All hosts are visible in hamachi network. There is no blocked traffic because there is no configured firewall on any host.
I don't get ping responses from HOST.B. When I try to connect by ssh I get 'Connection timed out'.
There is also no response when I try to check HOST.B by telnet.
SSH and logmein-hamachi is configured on every host as it is described on Arch wiki.
I also connected my laptop to the same local network as HOST.B. I can connect to HOST.B throug local network, but cannot connect through hamachi.
Maybe someone will find out what can be wrong with this issue.

The Multiprovider is on two cubes, consider as A and B. Compression with Zero elimination was done on cube A, and the records were suppressed when checked at cube level and there was a single entry. But when I check in multiprovider, multiple enteries were appearing from the cube A.
Example:
In cube A before compression:

How do I know if LogMeIn Hamachi is working?
Sorry if this has been asked before.I recently installed the free version to protect my IP address/privacy while surfing.The installation went just fine and when the product started I created my own network with password.The program shows my created network and a green light.I assume that this means it's working....however how do I know if it's protecting my information when I surf the web? I don't see any other activity going on in the LogMeIn program console? Should I see something here to let me know that it's protecting me when I browse (I use Chrome)? Sorry if this seems like a silly question.....and thanks for all and any advice.
Hamachi2 does not protect your IP/Identity while browsing the internet.
It allows you to setup virtual netowrks to share data between computers. -
LogMeIn Hamachi: AFP Connection Error
Hi Community,
I'm currently trying to set up an AFP connection between two computers that are both connected to my Hamachi Server. I have three computers on the free server, the two I need to connect, and the third being my personal computer. Whenever I try to connect the two computers (either way, from computer A to computer B or vice versa), I get the error:
"The server "x.xx.xxx.xx" may not exist or is unavailable at this time. Check the server name or IP address, then check your network connection, then try again."
Both computers are returning a ping regularly, so I'm not sure why this is happening. Furthermore, both computers can connect to my personal computer via AFP, but my personal computer can not connect to either of these computers. All three computers are on different networks, so I'm suspecting a network-side firewall issue, but after going about opening ports on the 2wire and Netopia 3000 (the two routers I'm dealing with), I'm still getting the same error. Does anyone know where this error is originating from? Or even better yet how I can fix it? Thank you so much,
~JoshHamachi provides a VPN connections between the system, which unless the firewall (and or router) is actually blocking Hamachi, will NEVER see your AFP traffic and ports on the Hamachi network, except as encrypted packets using the Hamachi port(s).
Hamachi tends to use a 5.x.x.x based IP address. Have you tried finding the Hamachi assigned IP address for the remote servers and connecting using that?
Finder -> Go -> Connect to server -> afp://5.x.x.x
I think Hamachi will distribute Bonjour messages, so in theory you should be able to use a utility such as Bonjour Browser to see if the remote Hamachi system's Bonjour services are visible. -
LogMeIn Hamachi won't connect to servers
We use LMI for remoting and other vpn connections. I have a user that cannot connect to Hamachi servers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the LMI software. I have turned off local windows firewall as well as the firewall on her home xfinity router just to test. I have also tried changing her DNS to 8.8.8.8. She can get out to the internet with no issues. It is on a laptop and is wireless. She is running Windows 7 Pro. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks so much for all the input!

New iMac extremely slow following migration (Help with Etre Check diagnosis)
Hi gurus,
New iMac - scheduled for genius bar on Friday but trying to avoid the trip. Migrated everything over from 2009 macbook pro to 2011 macbook and now 2013 iMac. I imagine there is a lot of cruft from the repeated migrations and am close to just wiping and migrating from scratch. I don't know, however, how to get my old mail and other critical settings over.
Problem is clearly in the user account. I created a separate admin account and that runs relatively fine. Is the below user account salvageable? Should I delete all my old permissions? Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks for the Etrecheck program,

PLEASE HELP ME! ( IMAC ERROR SCREEN AT START UP )
Hello everyone i have a massive problem that has been scaring me for the past months i have called applecare but they seem to not have the right answer i just hope that one of you people can help me.
i own a imac 27 inch 2011 model and just from couple of months ago i kept getting errors at the grey screen but before the error to appear a little grey screen scrolls from the top but anyway i cannot get a picture of it as my phone takes a while for the camera to appear but once my computer restarts itself ( because of the error ) a message pops up saying " Your computer was restarted because of a problem." i clicked on show details and everything you see below is exactly what is on the message pop up box ( please note that the stars indicate where the details of the error start and end )

Firstly, I reccomend starting your machine in Safe Boot, and seeing if it occurs again. You can do this by holding the shift key immediately as the machine starts up. If you notice that it never occurs in this mode, it is likely a temporary issue. You may like to backup, and then run a clean install of your OS. If the issue still occurs then follow the steps below.
Repair disk permissions. Open disk utility app, select Macintosh HD, and then repair permissions. Then go ahead and follow the following steps.
Check peripheral devices first
Skip this section if you have no peripheral devices.
Power off your Mac.
Disconnect all peripheral devices and Ethernet cables until all you have connected to your Mac is a display, keyboard, and mouse or trackpad.
Power on your Mac and start from the external hard disk.
Use the Apple applications on your external hard disk to surf the web, view QuickTime movies, email, print, scan, sync iOS devices, and other things. Continue using your Mac for the amount of time it would usually take for the kernel panic to occur.
If the kernel panic does not occur: Power down your Mac and connect one peripheral at a time; repeat the above steps until you find the peripheral causing your kernel panic.
If the kernel panic does occur: Proceed to check the internal RAM and third party hardware.
Check internal RAM and third-party hardware
Power off your Mac.
Reseat your Apple RAM, and remove third party RAM and third-party hardware. If you do not have the Apple RAM that came with your system, reseat the third-party RAM.
Power on your Mac and start from the external hard disk.
Use the Apple applications on your external hard disk to surf the web, view QuickTime movies, email, print, scan, sync iOS devices, and other things. Continue using your Mac for the amount of time it would usually take for the kernel panic to occur.
If the kernel panic does not occur: Your third-party RAM or internal third-party hardware may need to be replaced.
If a kernel panic does occur: Bring your Mac to a Genius at an Apple Store, or an Apple Authorized Service Provider for service and support. Be sure to ask that, if the hard disk needs reformatting or replacing, they contact you about escalating your case to a special data recovery service. If you plan to visit an Apple Retail store, make a reservation at the Genius Bar using http://www.apple.com/retail/geniusbar/ (available in some countries only).
Software troubleshooting
Reinstall Mac OS X v10.6 (or, for Mac OS X v10.5, perform an archive and install) on your internal hard disk.
Start from the internal hard disk.
Run Software Update.
Install all updates until Software Update reports "Your software is up to date."
Download and install any third-party software updates before reinstalling third-party software, especially drivers and kernel extensions.
Examples include:
Virtualization software – Parallels, VirtualBox and VMware
Drivers for display cards – ATI and nVIDIA

Can't remove Hamachi from Menu Bar (icon)
I own a second hand 17" 2006 MacBook Pro, today and yesterday I have had to reboot the system because it just quits on me. After getting back onto it by resetting the PRAM, I went on a deleting mission getting rid of photos and games and their relevant files to make sure this wasn't blocking it up with unessential items.
However, I've tried to delete Hamachi, used for game servers, and I can't delete it because it lives in the Menu Bar, so logically I went to see how to remove it but Command+click/drag just doesn't work, it just opens the drop down menu. I searched further and found that if this didn't work I could simply just click 'Quit' on the drop down menu, but that does nothing either!
I haven't got a clue how to get it out of my menu bar and until I do, I can't delete the supporting files also, help anyone?Uninstalling Hamachi on Mac

LogMeIn installs a at boot kernel extension file into OS X itself to operate, it can only be uninstalled using their uninstaller.
If it has a problem uninstalling, install it again to return all files, then uninstall it.
If that doesn't work, you can hold Shift key upon booting and head to Macintosh HD/System/Library/Extensions and find the LogMeIn kext file and move it to the Desktop. Then reboot to get out of Safe Mode.
If that doesn't work, then perform a #8 Reinstall Just OS X, Software Update fully and reinstall from original sources any other programs that fail to function correctly, however you might not be able to get 10.6 compatible copies of those programs again. Thus the manual method.

when i installed my 32bit system i changed the mirrorlist to 'i686' repository for downloading 32bit things. i forgot to change it again when i was done... so pacman downloaded 32bit stuff and apparently updatet itself.

Help with Sharing Screen Many Miles Away

To give a background. My Dad is disabled and struggles to use his computer sometimes. He has a 2008 iMac running 10.5 and I live in Australia. I am wondering is there anyway that when his computer plays up and needs a setting fixing that I can control from across here to do the job.
I am on an iMac across here on 10.6.7 any help that could help our situation would be grateful.
OllyAs mentioned, there is iChat screen sharing. You can use MobileMe accounts, OR you can use free AOL Instant Messenger accounts <http://aim.com>. You do not need the AIM software, just the accounts. I think you might even be able to use a Google gTalk account. To make it easy you setup the accounts for you Father, and then talk him through adding the account to iChat.
You could get a MobileMe subscription for yourself, then register both your Father's and your Mac(s) to your account, then you can use Back-to-My-Mac which will allow regular Mac OS X Screen Sharing and File Sharing over an encrypted connection.
You can also try TeamViewer.com. It works very well.
There is also LogMeIn.com.
LogMeIn.com has the advantage that once the server is installed on your Father's Mac, it runs in the background and you can connect without needing him to be there. TeamViewer.com is just another running app, and as such he might not always run it, or might quit from it.
On the other hand, TeamViewer.com allows file transfer, but LogMeIn.com requires an upgrade to the paid version to get file transfer. You could always use DropBox.com for any files you want to transfer. By the way, iChat does allow transferring files as well.

network between you and your Father. Once that is in place, you could use normal Mac OS X Screen Sharing and File Sharing services over an encrypted virtual private network.
And then there is the hard way Configuring your Father's home router to port forward ports 5900 and port 548 <http://portforward.com>, getting a free dynamic DNS name from No-IP.com or DynDNS.org, running the dynamic DNS name updating utility on your Father's Mac (all the time), then connecting directly with Mac OS X Screen Sharing and File Sharing. NOTE: The Screen Sharing client does have preferences to encrypt all network traffic, and is a good idea when going across the internet, HOWEVER, File Sharing does not. If you want secure file sharing in this configuration, you would need to play other more complex games involving ssh tunnels. I listed this last as it is only a good idea if you are network savvy and familiar with ssh, otherwise I would suggest one of the more user friendly methods mentioned above. -
Cannot install hamachi because of previous version
I am on Windows 7 x64 and I am attempting to install the newest hamachi, but I cannot because hamachi says it found a previous version which I attempted to uninstall but it refuses telling me it cannot find hamachi-update.exe located in windows appdata and whatnot. So I removed all registry entries and files on my computer dealing with the search terms hamachi and logmein, but I still cannot install the newest hamachi because it gives me this error

if i click no the installation closes if I click yes i get another error
The older version of LogMeIn Hamachi cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.
Then the installation fails. There are no hamachi services in msconfig or task manager, and it is not still being detected as a network adapter so I assume it is no longer on my system. Now I need to find what files might be left over on my system that still cause the installer to find an old version of hamachi can anyone help me?மிக்க நன்றி !

Windows 10 - Hamachi Adapter not Installing.
Hey Everyone i need some help with Hamachi, I was on Windows 8.1 and it worked perfectly fine but i decided to get a newer version of windows (Windows 10) and now hamachi is completely useless and other VPN programs dont work either, its just the adapter and heres what i have tried so i dont get basically duplicates of what i have done:Connections Tab under RegistryUninstalling and Re-installingTrying a older versionDevice Manager and Add Legacy Software (It says that it has timed out)
I am still wrestling with this problem -- and not for the first time with a Windows 10 update. I have followed the instructions in the first post in this thread and also yours about the QoS Packet Schedulerr. One thing I'm not clear on is what you mean by not needed IPv4 or 6. Should these also be "unticked"? The Hamachi adapter is displayed in the list of network adapters shown under Network Connections. It's labeled "Internet 2," "Unidentified Network" and "LogMeIn Hamachi Virtual Ethernet Adapter #3". I've tried restarting several times and I'm still getting the yellow triangle on my remote computers and I'm also not able to connect to my proxy software (Privoxy) from my primary PC. When I click on one of my peer PCs displaying the yellow triangle in Hamachi, it shows "Error" for VPN Status, and when I click for more details on the settings page, the message says there is a "network adapter error." The last time I had this problem a month or so ago, I tried so many different fixes that I wasn't sure how I actually fixed it. I'm pretty sure I did everything this time as last, but no cigar. Any further suggestions?
