Logmein plug-in incompatible with 5.0

Logmein detects need for a new plug-in now I have upgraded to FireFox 5.0. When I click install it says the plug-in is not compatible. If I select install anyway it processes for a minute or so but then says it is unable to proceed. I have reported this to Logmein inc. However ib the meantime is there some way I can go back to the previous version of Mozilla Firefox (4.5? I think) as that worked fine

I confirm that it works even on Mavericks, as posted in your link below, download the plugin, copy it to /Library/Internet Plugins and relaunch Safari or Chrome. The only problem is that it launches a seperate window. Minimize your browser it maybe behind the browser window.

Can anyone confirm that the Mac VLC plug-in does not work for Chrome or Safari when using OS X 10.8.4? There is a streaming website I visit often which requires the VLC plug-in to view but I still get the error 'no plug-in available to display content.'

Plug-ins Incompatible with Leopard?

I've downloaded numerous 3rd party plugs & Garageband (version 4.1.1) doesn't seem to register any of them after dragging the plugs to library>audio>plug-ins>components. I've never encountered this problem with any other OS/version of Garageband. I can live without most of my Waves plugs for awhile since they currently don't support Leopard, but desperately need a deesser and none (including Spitfish) will register. Is this simply just a compatibility issue? If so, are there any known [free] 3rd party developers that support Leopard?

I've actually noticed that several third party plug-ins such as various iZotope aren't visible in GB08. The list incldes Guitar Rig 2, which I used with no problem in the previous verision of GB but it's nowhere to be seen in the list of plug-ins in GB08.
I still use Tiger.

It should still be compatible. Have you tried plugging it into a different USB port using a different cable to see if that helps? Perhaps, try it another computer as well to see if it's recognized there.
Otherwise, start by checking to see if it's even recognized in Device Manager. See this article for details.

Having trouble with internet connections using my Apple G5. Updates turn out to be incompatible with my system. What should I do short of trashing the wonderful computer and spending cash I don't have on a new iMac?

Having trouble with internet connections using my Apple G5 OSX 10.4.11. Attempts to upgrade FireFox or Safari results in being incompatible with with this system. Tried to locate earlier versions to replace upgraded incompatible software only to find that problems have worsened with crashing results. What should I do short of trashing this wonderful G5 and purchasing a new iMac which I really can't afford?

AT&T Incompatible with WRT54G v8.0.0.7?

I recently upgraded the firmware of my WRT54G from v8.0.0.2 to v8.0.0.7 so that I could use it with my PS3 at school.
I'm home for spring break, and, naturally, I brought my router with me, as my parent's router (a WRT54G v8.0.0.2) won't work with the PS3.
I plug it in, get full bars on my laptop, and nothing. It doesn't work. PS3 is still in the box. I shut everything down, reset the router, blah blah blah, still nothing. Full bars, but pages won't load.
Now, the v8.0.0.2 here at the house works just fine; as soon as I plug it in, I can immediately navigate pages. But as soon as I plug in my v8.0.0.7, it stops working. However, I use it at school all the time, for everything with no problems. It works at my friends house as well.
The only difference between here and there is that we have Charter at school (and my friend's house) and AT&T at home.
Is v.8.0.0.7 incompatible with AT&T DSL for some reason? I can find no other explanation.

Derp.
Charter's router at school only needs a router with DHCP Auto-Config turned on to run.
AT&T uses PPPoE, so all I had to do was plug in my parent's name and password, and it worked. That simple. I overthought this to the max, it was such an easy fix.

Lion OS incompatible with Blackboard Learning System - how do I revert to OS 10.6?

Hi, I've just found out that my newly downloaded Lion OS is incompatible with my school's learning system (Blackboard). They are only compatible with 10.6. Any way I can work around this, or do I need to revert to 10.6? Thanks!

We have been receiving many phone calls from Mac users not being able to view PDF, Word, and similar documents held within learning modules. This is a compatibility issue with the Adobe Reader plugin and the current MacOS browsers that Blackboard supports (FireFox, Safari). The only potential work around until the browsers catch up to this new plug-in is to make sure all instructors set these types of files open in a new tab. There is no known timeframe when this bug will be fixed.

You can use SOME of the S5230 ( STAR) features in Mac OS X and you can share documents with it :
In all cases the phone needs to have a Micro SD card installed as "hard disk" ( up to 8GB work fine in it ).
The phone supports saving photos and videos either to the internal space which is only a few hundred MB or to the memory card. But you need to set the memory card as the place to save manually - else it will still save to the telephones space ( silly I know ).
You need to save photos,music,videos on the memory card in the phone ( not to the telephons own filesystem ) , you can set the default loaction where to save in the 5230s settings menu, under "memory".
The 5230 knows 3 modes it can connect to a machine. "PC Studio", "MP3 Player" and "USB Mass Storage".
MP3Player is only usebale in connection with Windows Media Player 11. Itunes can't handle that device.
Now when you plug the 5230 to a Mac you must choose "USB mass storage" as connection to get to the memory card.
This way the phone's memory card will appear in Finder as external harddisk, and thus you can access the files on it.
This phone is usable on mac/linux only in this mode for file access. The "new pc studio" software that would enable all the othe features plus access to the phone system runs only in Windows.
The 5230 has also a data/fax modem , but this is not supported in Lion, only in Snow Leopard. ( to enable that you would choose "PC Studio" as connection type when you plug it in the mac , and then OS X will report that it found a new networking device - a modem . )

Why are Sony headsets incompatible with Apple hardware?

Close to one year ago, I had to get my iPod touch 2G replaced due to a defective headphone jack. One staff member at the Apple store told me that Sony, Skullcandy, and some other brands of headphones have a slightly larger plug which wrecks the jack on iPods over time because Sony and Skullcandy (among other brands) have headphone jacks that are just slightly larger than the others. This seems like a reasonable explanation to me.
What I'm wondering is: is this slightly larger jack size exclusive to only a few brands, or does it extend to all brands except Apple's own earbuds? (which would be ridiculous) Secondly, why does this problem occur with ALL Apple hardware, including their computers? (My iMac G5 has the same issue my old iPod touch did.) Do the engineers at Apple not realize that Sony headphones are the choice of not only many home users, such as myself, but also many respected creative professionals around the world? Seeing how Apple hardware is used extensively by these "creative" professionals, such as musicians and music producers, what exactly is the reasoning for making Apple hardware incompatible with these jack sizes? Is there any work around for this incompatibility, such as some kind of headphone adapter I can pick up at Radio Shack?
Since I know that some users here will inevitably believe that I am thick-headed enough to confuse 1/4" jack with the 3.5mm variety, allow me to make it explicitly clear that I am not trying to somehow use a 1/4" jack with my iPod! (that is not even physically possible...)
Also, if anyone knows where I could contact Apple for some sort of official statement of this matter, I would be quite grateful.

In which case, that would suggest that the Apple jack is smaller than every other make, not that everyone else has a larger "plug". But I don't accept "a difference in size" as any sort of explanation. In fact, I think such an explanation is complete rubbish!
Other than that, I agree with Kappy, why would you post a problem about a Sony product on an Apple forum?
What can happen though, is that the back end headphone plug (the bit you grip to remove the plug) can be pushed against other objects when the iPod is in your pocket or bag and then the business end of the plug (the front bit that goes into the socket) is levered over, pushing the headphone jack over as well, and that causes the connection between the socket and the circuit board to break. Hence the problem.
The solution (to minimise the risk of broken headphone jacks) is to ensure that the plug cannot be pushed over while it's in your bag or pocket. I purchased a right-angled 3.5mm adaptor (http://www.keene.co.uk/electronics/multi.php?mycode=KA178) which reduces strain on the socket. In additon, do not leave the plug inserted with the headphone cord wrapped tight around the device when you're not using it, because once again, that will strain the connection inside the iPod.

Infocube A is getting updated from shopping carts DSO. I have added 3 new fields in SC DSO then cube transformations got inactive. I do not want 3 new fields in cube. we have report on DSO. Below is syntax error when checking transformations.
Error: In PERFORM or CALL FUNCTION "ROUTINE_9998", the actual parameter "SOURCE_PACKAGE" is incompatible with the formal parameter "DATA_PACKAGE".
3 New fields are available in tys_SC_1 but not available in tys_SC_1_full. I tried to insert 3 fields in tys_SC_1_full but still it is showing same syntax error. And more TYPE is availalbe tys_TG_1_full. This type does not have 3 fields.
Please advice.

I have resolved issue by addinng fields to data package. Issue is becasue of 4 fields in source and I have added only 3 fields in data package. Added one more field to data package and no syntax errors when checked.

I just updated to 10.9.3. I now cannot open Mail - it comes up with an error window and suggests it may be incompatible with this OS. What is the fix for this? Thanks

K7N2 Delta (ILSR) incompatible with 200FSB?

Is the K7N2 Delta (Nforce2 Chipset) incompatible with 200FSB??... Ive seen many problems when trying to upgrade the CPU, and use a 200FSB in various forums. So, why does it keep hanging/crashing?? Might it be not really supported even though it specify it does?

From most of the posts I've been reading about this issue, the users are trying to build their systems using Value RAM from various manufacturers such as Kingston or Corsair among others...this just isn't a reality anymore in the high speed world of components...the Delta boards require a lot of power and high speed memory nowadays and a lot of the users are just unaware of these facts...
Part time builders are the most susceptible to this as they build a system every few years and think that all of the 'old' rules apply to their situation...what 'should' be isn't anymore as we continue to design and produce faster products that require faster peripherals to support them...
Getting away cheaply has been designed out of most systems and this really stems from the CPU mfg's and how MB designers have to approach BUS speeds and the like...
CDM has it right that you need to dip a little deeper these days for good QUALITY memory and peripheral items to ENSURE that when you build your new PC that you minimize these issues from the get go...if not then you're going to have a good run at testing this RAM or that RAM to find one that is cheap and will still have the speed capability to keep up with your high end MB & components...
Apacer is a good example of this...they're moderately priced and they perform very well in the sandbox with most applications that you set before them...overclocking them can lead you down a problematic path but overall they're pretty flexible from what I've seen...
Most of us here know that Mushkin is pretty infallable and will take pretty much whatever is thrown at their modules...if not calling their CS dept gets you the kind of help that most companies only dream about providing...
All in all the 'line' has risen and it will rise again and you'll see a rash of users that will complain that "This should do what I want it to do" but as is most always the case, you'll find that they're trying to build an underpowered system that requires fast peripheral components and a lot of them just aren't willing to dish out the cash required for a great white box system...
Yes I agree that it's a scam from the companies to force us to spend more of our hard earned dollars but that is the way of the world now, albeit that it's unfortunate...if you're really good at building systems tho, you'll find that you can usually come up with a pretty mid-range priced system that will blaze thru all the latest games but that only comes with buying components to play trial & error with...much like I used to do in my Computer Store years ago...these days I don't do much of that, I just buy the good stuff and save my time...

All of the "MacBook" laptops are compatible with XP/Vista.
One thing to note is that BootCamp is currently in the beta version (at least until when OS X Leopard comes out), so you may have some minor problems installing and running windows, but they should be fine.
Another thing to note is since Vista craves a lot of CPU, RAM, HD and graphics, I would suggest you going to a MacBook Pro. I have heard that Vista does not run smoothly on computers with less than 2 GB RAM, nor does all of its features render well if you don't have a 128 MB graphics card. Increasing the MacBook's RAM to 2 GB may also significantly increase the performance.
Either way, the option is yours. All of them should work out fine, with perhaps a couple of firmware updates

John, since you seem quite familiar with the ABAP help and obsolete statements I'm now surprised what you were initially asking for.. .
Anyhow, below a sample coding with the table being passed as a USING parameter. Avoid using VALUE on the parameter (i.e. pass by value) unless you need a copy of the parameter. Otherwise this leads to a performance overhead (requirement to copy the parameter), especially for large internal tables.

P.S.: Update of my posting: Just read your one comment. Looks like your only problem was attempting to define the table type in the parameters section of the form routine. This doesn't work. If you don't have a type you could use a generic type (i.e. simply just say <i>using i_resbb type table</i>), but in general I would stick to strong typing unless you have a generic routine that must handle different table types. So simply refer to a table type from dictionary or that you defined in your program.

Do you have a similar declaration as below, for Type tys_SC_1_full, in the routine?
TYPES:
      BEGIN OF _ty_s_SC_1_full,
        field1 type c,
        field2 type c,
        field3 type i,
      END   OF _ty_s_SC_1_full.
If Yes, delete or comment all the declarations present in between above BEGIN & END(remove the field1, field2 & field3 declarations).
Now copy all the declarations from the other TYPES tys_SC_1 delcaration and paste here.
In brief the structure of tys_SC_1_full should be exactly same as tys_SC_1.
