Logo in PDF form

Hi all,
We have a requirement to change LOGO in PDF form . If we create a image field and then drag and drop a logo there. After binding we are able to see Logo in PDF Preview. But when we are executing PDF form , logo is not coming.
Moreever when we are clicking on URL ,its giving some standard url which we are not able to edit.
Any pointers to this will be helpful or some other solution of getting the logo in image field .
Thanks and Regards,
Taranam

Hi,
In PDF, there are three ways of using a Graphic -
1.     through context – using graphic reference
2.     through context – using content
3.     In layout – by copy and paste.
     Graphic content can be added to the form by adding the graphics in the transaction SE78 (also using the programme – ‘RSTXLDMC’). You store that in a variable and have that variable here.
Graphics can also be uploaded through MIME repository.
Thanks and Regards,

  • How to include logos in pdf forms??

    hi all,
i am working with the pdf forms for the first time and dont yet kno the tricks of trade
can ne1 tell me how do i include graphic logo in the form?? here, i am referring to the logos we can access by TXN SE78 (the ones we use while working with SAPscripts and smartforms)
    thanks to all...

    Hi,
    some pointers -
If it is a static logo, you can directly paste it. or else, you can give the link in the object pallette, or to my knowledge, there is an option in the context tab of the SFP transaction to bind an image to one ofthe fields to store the link.
    Hope these may help.
    Do update.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Anto.

  • Some XML customizing not displayed correctly in graphic in PDF form

    Hello,
we have following problem: We want to create a read-only PDF with an integrated graphic with analytical data.
The PDF form is created with SFP. Data is extracted and the graphic rendered with the class CL_IGS_CHART_ENGINE.
We used SAP chart designer and transformed the XML into our string.
The graphic is displayed in our PDF, but some customizing settings in our XML are neglected, especially the font type, her only courier is displayed. Also some manual positions of legends don't work.
When I display the chart in the SAP GUI using cl_gui_chart_engine everything works fine, so  I assume that the XML and the  transformation is correct.
So where is the problem: Mime type? codepage? printing job?
    Thanks and Regards
    Andreas

    Hello,
I would like to know what type of scenario do you use. Is that WD form? Or offline form?
Based on the type, you may find your solution here:
When you need to send a picture into the offline form: another image question - using Regular ABAP not web dynpro and Display a logo dynamically in adobe form
    For the WD form: /people/bhawanidutt.dabral/blog/2007/11/15/how-to133-integrate-adobe-form-on-webdynpro-for-abap-and-deploy-it-on-portal
What MIME type (picture type) has your generated picture? JPG for example is ok, but for exotic types please check in your LCD (place Image on the layout and open the dialog for picture assignment, you can see the allowed picture types in there).
    Regards, Otto
p.s.: What is the mentioned XML customizing? XML is the form of the femplate, but I have never customized anything IN THERE. Did you change the XML source manually? Or what type of changes are not managed correctly?

  • Is there an easy way to allow usrs with Adobe Reader to add images to a PDF form?

We are using Adobe Acrobat 10 Pro.
We are currently using the "Ruber Stamp" tool to add customer logos to our forms in order to "Brand" the forms for our customers to use with thier customers.
We would like to make this a simpler process, self-service if possible.
We currently add fillable fields to the form and save with Adobe Extended Features so the customers can fill out the form for their customers and save the changes.
Is it possible to add a field where the customer could click on it as be prompted to load a .jpg ir giff into the field in order to brand it themselves?
They would need to be able to save the change just like all the other fillable fields.
    Any thoughts on this one?
If we can't make it self service, is there a better way to do it internally than the Rubber Stamp wher ethe technician could click on the cielf and input the image directly rather than first creating the stamp?
    Any help is much appreciated.
    Best Regards,
    Steve

If you can get your users to use Reader 11, there is a way to do what you want if they are able to convert the images to PDF first. This is relatively simple these days as Ofiice applications can do it and anyone on the Mac can use Preview to convert an image to PDF. It involves setting up a button so that its layout is something other than label only and using the following code in the button's Mouse Up event:
    event.target.buttonImportIcon();
This is not available with previous versions of Reader, but it is available with all versions of Acrobat, so you'll be able to test it with Acrobat 10. For more information, see the documentation: http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.739.html

  • Interactive PDF Form Speed Issues

Hello!  I am looking for some info for an interactive PDF form issue.
A little info on the form:
Created in Acrobat PRO 9.4.5, Windows.
    File Size: 559KB
Ultimately the file is placed up on a website, it is 3 pages with a colored background on each page and a lineart logo.  It has text fields for things like name, phone etc., has some radio buttons, drop-downs, two links to other pages within the site and two links to other PDF docs.  It does not have a flowable layout and is only being populated by the end user.  The form has buttons on the bottom to email, print, save & clear the form.
The form tested fine from our file servers and/or local machines, the client had no issues testing when we sent them the files.  We start to get into issues once the file was posted on their site and the results from testing vary significantly as I would suspect can be somewhat expected due to machine, browser, Acrobat and/or Reader variances etc. but maybe there is something we can do to improve how it functions(?)
Some end-users have come back saying that the form takes a while until they can enter text in any of the fields following their first click in one of the form fields to begin using the form.  Also commented on was that the PDF pages scroll slowly as they move further down the page.  We do not have any details about any browser versions, settings etc. and also did not receive this feedback directly.
Internal testing we have found some of the following accessing the form from their site (the site is a DNN site using a file handling module),
I am going to try and limit the info below as it could get very lengthy w/ all the various outcomes:
I did not have any issues on first click or scrolling in either IE8 or Firefox4, I do however have some slowness when I click the links that go to other pages on their site and also the links to the other PDF documents (I can only get this to occur when I am accessing the form through the link on their site it does not occur when I test any other way either locally from my desktop, our file server or even when I right click the file that resides on the web server and open w/ either of my browsers).
A co-worker tested every which way and could not get any slowness at all any way that she tried.  Another tested and found IE on their machine to have the hangups but not Firefox.  And a third had the initial click slowness (but also said he had that when he saved the file from the site to his desktop and opened it), please note browser & Reader/Acrobat versions probably vary from each person testing.
What I am feeling is that the form itself is ok just that the user variances can produce different outcomes but I just want to check and see if anyone else has had anything similar or has any suggestions to maybe "speed" the form up covering a variety of users.
    Thanks very much!
    Robin

When you fix it in Acrobat, what you want to do specifically is remove whatever action is present in the button and add a "Submit a form" action to the Mouse Up event. Specify that you want to submit the entire PDF and use the mailto URL you showed earlier, making sure there are no spaces.
For it to work in desktop versions of Reader prior to 11, you need to Reader-enabled the document by selecting: File > Save as Other > Reader Extended PDF > Enable More Tools
The button won't work with the native iOS PDF viewer, but certain other PDF viewers such as Adobe Reader and Readdle's PDF Expert allow you to email a filled-in form and will support the button action.

  • Can I add a footer to a PDF form?

I will be collecting responses in forms central by distributing the PDF form to respondents.  Respondents will need to print out their completed form before submitting it.  When I tested it myself, no pagination printed.  I would also like to incorporate company logo in a footer and cannot figure out if that is possible.  Deb

I can tell you that all Mac users will miss out. I just posted a question about PDF Viewer not work on Mac for FireFox and SeaMonkey.  I had posted a Bug.  I received an answer from someone in the Top echelons of Adobe said they have absolute no interesting in get the Plugin working for Mac. They don't wish to waste their money and effort. So if you intend to make PDF availble in on a Website Mac's will not be able to use them. They will have to download them look at them or fill them out the send them Back in.
Fortunately there is Nice fellow schubert from Germany make a Pligin That works unfortunate it doen't do button and don't do form , Though he has requested permission from adobe to do so. They refuse.

  • PDF form slow generation

    Hello
I'm using Adobe LiveCycle Designer ES Version 8.2.3.x.
I developed a form of contract consisting of 4 pages. Also this form contains one logo on each page and some text with dynamic text elements (about 15 totally). Unfortunately the PDF form is generated too slowly. I tried to find which form element was a reason of such slow performance and didn't find it. It seems that the form is generated so slowly, because it's too long (if 4 pages can be considered to be long form). Has anybody faced to such problem?
    Thank you in advance!

You may be facing a different issue all together ...to validate can you save the form from Designer as an XDP and tell us what the size of the file is?

  • Opening PDF Form in Body Page

    Hi,
It will be really great if some one can answer two of my question.
    1. Is it possible to open a deployed form into a subsection of our web browser where company logo, left navigation panel , right navigation panel remain on there postion and fillable form open only into a part of body.
    2) Is it possible to prepopulate some fields of our PDF form on the basis of login credentail entered into portal application which get authenticated against LDAP.
    Regards
    Abhishek

I also noticed we're prompted to allow a security warning when opening it locally. It says the document is trying to connect to itself. Is this normal?

  • How to put watermark on Adobe Reader PDF Forms ?

I am an Adobe LiveCycle Designer 7.x to design the PDF Forms. User will open the Form in Adobe Reader. User will put a signature on these Forms after filling the information. Once the Form is filled, how do we put a watermark on these PDF Forms without using Adobe Designer?

By making it invisible, the only place that it will appear is in your Project file. It will not be burned to the image appearing on the DVD. There will be no trace of it there. Not even the
    i "CSI Edition'
of Premiere Pro could find this on the DVD.
Now, Copy Protection is something else. You might want to take a look at a thread on this subject:
    http://muvipix.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=24&t=4423
Along the lines of E Mann's suggestion, a "Bug" (small logo) could easily be inserted in one corner. This would be visible and would be part of the image on the DVD. It could be very small, and have significant Transparency. Think of the small logo that appears in the lower-right of most TV broadcasts. After a moment, we don't even know that it's there, unless it goes away, or moves. One additional thought on this is if you place it far enough into the corner, it would be outside the Safe Area and would not even be seen on most CRT TV's, because of "over-scan," but still on the image, that is on the DVD.
I would look into having a Title, with the © notice, and the Bug. Still, only honest clients/recipients of the DVD, will be bothered. All others will freely copy and distribute the material.
There are just not good, effective ways to protect your material. Also, no burned disc can have even the normal Copy Protection, only replicated/stamped discs can.

  • Signing PDF Form !!URGENT!!

I posted here earlier regarding a couple of simple issues about file security, that although were not really necessary, were needed to reassure the client.
Now we have created a PDF form checklist that is attached to all job files and filled in by a member of the team after each process is completed, eg. design, artwork, repro, QC....
The form is digitally signed at the bottom and the fields that correspond to that section are locked, but when the form is picked up of the server by a QC for example after been signed by a member of repro, the signature has a question mark or a warning logo through it.
This is no real problem for us as it is purely internal and only for our benefit, but because of the nature of the work for aforementioned client they really want this sorting out so no warnings are flashed.
We are not really sure why it pops up and what it means, but it would be a great help if anybody could help us get rid of it.
    Cheers.

The warning pop up, because the pdf has been changed. That is what a
digital signature is supposed to do. Each new signature changes the
file, therefore generates a warning from the previous signature(s). It
is not an error or mistake! You cannot nor should not be able to hide
    the warning.

  • PDF form output

Apparently you can make a PDF form output. But how did they do this:
    http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/reports/showcase/conmeds_OC_onePage.pdf
Is it possible to make it in such a way that you can save the document including the entered data? If you try to do that now you get an Adobe Reader error.

What I'd really like is to download directly to WORD from sapscript or smartform with logos, boxes intact just like they appear in PDF.
PDF Writer is a possibility, but do you think we could posibly achieve this with standard SAP Function modules:
    MS_WORD_OLE_FORMLETTER_PICTURE MS_WORD_OLE_FORMLETTER
If by using this FMs we wouldnt be using the sapscript and smartform technology by pretty much generating these documents over and over again, please confirm...
    Danke!

  • Editable PDF form

I am looking for PDF form where in the user can put in their own Logo, address and customer information. Also let me know any tutorial which shows how we can do this?
    -Shivanand

This cannot be done in Acrobat. You can try the LiveCycle forum to see if it is possible using LiveCycle Designer. If it is not possible in LiveCycle Designer, then it is possible in FileMaker Pro to distribute forms you would need either File Maker Pro Advanced (to distribute executables) or you might be able to do this on a server with FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Pro Server.

  • In-browser pdf form doesnt work and look weird

On following page I have a pdf form and it doesnt work and it looks weird(logo changed color, button missing, heading looks weird):
    http://www.palomat.dk/Files/Billeder/palomat/formular/Bestilling_PALOMATinlinemappe_DK.pdf
I've have checked and its not just this one pdf form, its all pdf forms that behave strange.
It is something that has started to happend recently and it works fine in both IE and Chrome.
I can see that the design of the pdf viewer has changed, so I am thinking it could have something to do with the fact, that there has been some sort of update of the pdf viewer in firefox or something??

Agree. This is a major screw up on Firefox part. Because of this, we switched again to IE. This is the worse thing Firefox could do for themselves and their users.

  • 2 problems with populating pdf forms

I created a form in LiveCycle on top of an existing PDF.  The form has 2 text fields (a company name) and an image (a company logo), and all are dynamically populated depending on who requested the  form.  I am using CF 8 to read the database and populate the fields. See tags below.
    1. I have tried a zillion different ways to generate a line feed in one of the text fields but to no avail. In all cases, the characters actually appear in the output text.   Supposedly the LiveCycle doc says I can use udf escape sequences like "\u000d\u000a" but those do not work  Other attempts included '\x0d\x0a' " \r" "<br>" \line but to no avail.
Does anyone know what character sequence to embed in a text field to cause a line feed in the output PDF?
    2. I cannot find any documentation on how to specify the value for an imagefield on the PDF form.  I am trying to place a company logo but nothing comes out on the pdf. Apparently I need something other than value="logofilename.jpg" but I can't find any doc on what to use.
Here is my code - very simple:
            <cfpdfform source="#sourcePDFpath#" action="populate">
                <cfpdfsubform name="topmostsubform">
                    <cfpdfformparam name="txtAssocName" value="#Trim(assocName)#"> <!--- this displays OK --->
<cfpdfformparam name="txtAssocAddress" value="#Trim(assocAddrFields)#"   > <!--- line feeds are not working between city and state --->
                    <cfpdfformparam name="logo" value="1.jpg"  >  <!--- image does not display --->
                </cfpdfsubform>
            </cfpdfform>
Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Not sure if there is a way to pass a graphic into a PDF like that, but I've done it lots of times by positioning the graphic onto a PDF file using the iText java library (ships with CF).  Might want to head over to http://www.lowagie.com/iText/ to check it out.
