Logo looks pixelated

pixelated logo. I have done something wrong and need help. this is how it looks

deegee,
It looks like something saved/exported at a small size to a raster format.
What happens if you Save for Web at a larger size in pixels x pixels (set it in the Image Size window where the Text/Art Optimized option is) or Export at a higher resolution?

  • Added logos look pixelated and how to add a watermark?

    Hey guys,
I'm having a bit of trouble. i'm trying to add a watermark with one half of the logo covering the footage and the other half the black bar. Because I need to crop the video the logo (ofcourse) gets cut in half. When I try importing the entire file as a .MOV file and then add the logo I have alot of loss in quality. Trying it in After Effects didn't help either.
Also, adding the logos and text in Premiere as a .PNG file looks pixelated even though the file is of a very high resolution. How can I fix this/

    Jim,
    Picture this...
You have 16:9 footage with really good stuff at the extreme right and the extreme left. SO you want to keep it that way. You also have 4:3 that you don't want to scale up. SO you use a 4:3 project. Now you have two choices. You can crop all of the 4:3 footage, or, when you get all done editing with both 16:9 and 4:3 you export the entire mixed clip as a 4:3 clip. Import that into Premiere Pro and crop the entire clip to look letterboxed. Now add a logo that happens to sit near the bottom right and some of it is over video, and some is over black letterbox.
Only none of this is relevant other than to explain that he has a problem with his logo in that it looks pixelated.
Solve the pixelation and the other explanation is not relevant.

  • Red logo is pixelated and the color is different

Ive been trying to render a video for a while and cant seem to solve my problem. Im working with a very special filesize: 300x250. On my timeline,I have my video (which I edited in Premiere and then Imported in AfterEffects) and a top layer which is a red logo (png file made in Photoshop). On my timeline it looks fine even when it plays, but when I rendered it, the color red is off (in the original its more red-orange and comes out blood red) and the logo is pixelated. My finished video needs to be in a flv format. I think Ive tried anything that I know and still cant find a solution. There must be someone somewhere with a solution.
Im working on a pc with AfterEffects CC.
    Thank you

The brand Im working for needs to remain confidential, but heres the reds inside my logo. Its like a gradient red.

  • Illustrator cc image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background

as the title states; image looks pixelated after saving with transparent background...
i created a logo in adobe illustrator cc and i wanted to saved it for web in order to be able to copy and paste the logo where ever I wanted but the image looks extremely pixelated after saving as an png, and for web. Is there a solution for this?
    Any help is appreciated.
    Thank you!!
    Jon

What DPI did you save as:
You should always save as 300dpi, then you can always reduce  the size as needed.
Another thing, don't copy and paste, that always causes that Problem.
In Acrobat you should open Tools Menu click on Content Editing  the Add Image.
Then click on image and choose Properties and place where you want and size as you desire.

  • Fonts and AI files look pixelated

And yes i have it on high Quality view.  I don't know if it is a hardware issue or an adobe issue.  please help.  Basically all fonts and files that i place look pixelated.  they print and PDF fine but it doesn't help much while i'm trying to design the pages.  I'm currently on a 15" Dell Laptop with m880 graphics card and 8GB of memory.  I'm also using CS5.5.

I've been playing with your files, and at first everything was fine, then I suddenly lost the previews, and just as suddenly resotored them shortly after. Took me awhile to find the trigger.
I don't know why it is happening, but here's waht has been causing it here: Horizontal scrolling, but only when I use the side-to-side scroll action on the scroll wheel of my mouse. When you move the page around (at least with Live Screen Drawing set to delayed as I have it) the screen preview drops temporarily to Typical Quality while the page is in motion. Once it stops, it's supposed to return to High Quality, but for some reason it's failing. It seemed to be happening when an image started to leave the window, but curiously I seem to get the same effect if zoomed out and I scroll horizontally with the wheel, while keeping everything in view, but then try to move one of the links around with the selection tool. I was able to reproduce the latter behavior in a new doc for a few minutes using your logo and one of my own images, but now it has stopped in that file. I don't recall ever seeing this before on my system, but it's possible I didn't pay much attention as it's an intermittent problem that is self correcting:
Using the Hand tool or the scroll handles on the sides of the document window restores the preview!
My testing with other files is hardly exhaustive, but it looks to me like the phenomenon is isolated to the links in this file (it didn't happen with my own links in other files). I don't know why. I suspect it may have something to do with the file having been initailly created in CS4 and converted in CS5.5, but I can't swear to it.
Bottom line: I can describe and reproduce the problem consistently with this file, but I can't explain it or fix it. I may do some further testing, if you don't mind, and depending on waht happens I may want to send in a bug report and attach your files. Would that be OK?
New hardware is unlikely to make any difference.
Before I forget, you have a linked .indd in the upper left corner on the background layer that is doing you no good at all and should be deleted. I found it using Find Font...

  • I just bought a 13inch mac book with retina display. When Im using adobe illustrator or photoshop, the fonts and designs look pixelated! How can I fix this?

I just bought a 13inch mac book with retina display.
    2.4GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with 3MB shared L3 cache. Version 10.9.4 / OS X Mavericks
When Im using adobe illustrator or photoshop, the fonts and designs look pixelated!
    How can I fix this?

    WOW!!
    That was great to hear.
I have just read this tread: https://forums.adobe.com/thread/1626784?start=0&tstart=0

  • Photoshop CS6 looks pixelated on Mac Retina screen

I have Photoshop CS6 running on a MacBook Pro with a 15" retina screen. By default it runs in low-resolution, which makes everything pixelated. When I right-click on the app and go to "Get Info" I see an option to "Open in Low Resolution". When I uncheck it Photoshop opens in high-resolution and it looks beautiful, but it's unusable: I can't click on any of the tools, the sidebars, or anything. So I bring it back to low-resolution and everything works well, except that it looks pixelated again.
I have the 13.0 update (the latest one) and there aren't any additional updates according to Photoshop.
Is there any way to have Photoshop CS6 run in high-resolution?
    Thank you very much!

Thank you, Gene, but that's exactly what I was trying before and it doesn't work. In my OP I explained what happens when I try that:
When I uncheck it Photoshop opens in high-resolution and it looks beautiful, but it's unusable: I can't click on any of the tools, the sidebars, or anything. So I bring it back to low-resolution and everything works well, except that it looks pixelated again.
When I open Photoshop and go to Help > System Info this is what I see:
    Adobe Photoshop Version: 13.0 (13.0 20120315.r.428 2012/03/15:21:00:00) x64
    Operating System: Mac OS 10.10.3
It's not 13.0.6. However, when I go to Help > Updates it tells me that all my applications are already up-to-date.
    Any other ideas?

  • Photos from iPhoto into Photoshop look pixelated

Photos that look beautiful in iPhoto and Preview, when opened in CS3 look pixelated.  Same dimensions pixels, 3264 x 2448.  Tried exporting from iPhoto to desktop at maximum quality and then opening as Smart Objects but still pixelated!  Print pixelated too!  Tried changing the resolution. No help.  Going round and round.  Help!  Maybe the picture was bad to begin with and I just couldn't tell in iPhoto?   Have a G5 mac.  Want to blow up from 4x6 to 11x14 print.
    Thanks!

Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
NOTE: With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
Note:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.

  • ALL flash videos looks pixelated, win 7 or 8.1, ONLY with firefox

Latest firefox version, latest adobe flash player.. Had cleaned cache and preferences of both Firefox and Flash Player.. two different machines with different hardwares and SOs, no luck!
With Google Chrome all videos are ok. It's like the difference in this two images: http://www.extremetech.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/computer-chip-super-resolution-640x353.jpg
Firefox's WEB images are GREAT but all videos looks pixelated as the left picture.. had compared the same video with Firefox and Chrome opened side-by-side.. :\

Hardware acceleration ON of OFF didn't make any difference.. honestly I never saw anyone saying they see any difference switching it..
Of course with a higher resolution (720 or 1080p) there's less pixelation, but with other browsers there ain't such issue..

  • Having issues with Compressor and my footage looking pixelated..

Compressed a wedding video through Compressor (from Final Cut Pro). When I have it in DVD Studio Pro and look at the footage, there is a minute or two where the footage looks pixelated and is almost vibrating. There is no issue when I go back and look at it in Final Cut Pro so I know it has to be due to Compressor. Anyone have this problem? Or does anyone know how this can be fixed?

Try increasing bit rate or adding compression markers to that section.

  • Open images in the Photoshop window look pixelated, but same images in Acrobat or viewer look fine. Help in resolving? Link to screenshots.

Some files and images I open in the Photoshop window look pixelated or choppy, but when I open in Acrobat or viewer they look fine. This just started about two weeks ago. I reset my settings, and all of the the help topics come up for blurry images/re-sizing. I have had this problem with .tiff, jpg, and pdf files.

That black degradation in the background at the top looks like an old ATI driver bug where if for a given pixel the red channel reaches zero all three colors of the pixel would go black.  I think that was a couple of years ago we were seeing that.
See if AMD has released newer drivers for your FirePro card.

  • Logo looks flattened

I have recently created a business card and when our company logo was incorporated the letters of the logo look flat.
The business card is standard size with the the original imported logo image being 6000x4200 png file.  I tried making the size smaller by dragging the corner point to a smaller dimension but the result is flattened image that loses crispness.
Should I be using the png file or would it be best to work with the original .ai vectored file?
    Thank you

It's hard to understand what you mean by "flat" seeing as logos are, in essence, actually flat. Do you mean that you are working on a logo that should have a 3d effect or a hint of depth and resizing messes it up? Good logos should be scalable and would not get distorted no matter what size you make them.

  • Logos look fuzzy in Studio Pro but NOT in the original QT movie

I assembled a flying logo (Photoshop) over video in Adobe After Effects and exported it as a Quicktime movie. The Logo looks anti-aliased and great in both AE and the Quicktime movie. But when I look at it in DVD Studio Pro it looks horrible (jagged and fuzzy). The video looks OK. I've done this a hundred times and never had this problem before!

No I haven't burned a DVD yet. I was hoping that perhaps it was just the viewer resolution in Studio Pro and that the video would look better once it was burned to DVD. I just don't recall seeing this happen before (the viewer window has always looked pretty true) and I've been working with SP for years. Maybe I'm just getting old and my eyes are going.
Guess I should try to follow through on authoring and see what I get.

  • CS6 InDesign - Default display is high-quality. Four placed images are Illustrator files. Three images look the way they should - high-quality. One image looks pixelated. Why?

InDesign CS6 - Default display is high-quality. All four placed images are Illustrator files. Three images look the way they should - high-quality. One image looks pixelated. Why?

Not sure if this will help, but what is your inDesign file's "Transparency Blend Space" set to? It's under the edit menu.
Also, when you are placing your images, are you selecting "Show Import Options" and making any selections there?

  • Why does the text look pixelated

I am using Helvetica Neue and when I publish the site the text looks pixelated.

Best practice is to use a Web Font, if possible. If not, use a Web Safe Font and only as a last resort use a System Font (since it will be converted to an image). An image is slower to load in your browser, prevents site viewers from copy/pasting your text content, prevents using the browser's Find feature within the page, and prevents you from being able to apply hyperlinks on ranges of text. Muse does automatically generate "alt tags" for the image, so search engines will still be aware of the original text content.
If a System Font is used, it will only render well if the background of the text frame is 100% opaque. (It has a solid fill color. An 100% opaque gradients. Or it has a 100% opaque fill image.) This is due to the fact smoothing the edges of the type on an LCD display requires knowing the color of the pixels behind the text. If the text frame is transparent then the smoothing will be performed using an inferior approach that is color agnostic to avoid creating color artifacts on the edges of the type. (Note that bringing in a transparent image containing the type from some other source will have the same problem.)
