Logo or watermark

Hello everyone.  I have a question regarding Lightroom2
and watermarks or logos.  I am a part-time photog and I have a logo that I would like to attach to my photos for proofing purposes.  I previously was using Elements and was able to add it as a layer.  Is that something that can be done via Lightroom2?  I wanted to ask before I bought the software.
Thanks for your time!

The LR2/ Mogrify plug in will do it with LR 2...otherwise directly from the LR 3 Beta as previously stated.

    HI,
    I have a Logo on my letterhead and a Watermark on my hard copy stationary.
    Is it possible to have this same logo and watermark on Mail Messages.
    If, so, how do you do it. I have read help but no cigar.
    Many thanks

  • Multiple logos or watermarks on a photo

    I am trying to figure out how to put multiple logos and or watermarks on multiple photos as a batch in CS6 or LR5.  I'm pretty sure that LR5 can only do one png at a time.  But I am doing shots of local bands and would like to be able to put their logo in one corner and mine in the other. I just don't know how to make it happen on both landscape and portrait style photos.  Any help would be nice.
    Thank you in advance.

    Hello Jared,
    the problem "watermarks" was discussed very often in the Dreamweaver forum (see Dreamweaver support forum).
    In addition to Steve's hint, here is the LR forum: Photoshop Lightroom. The LR-"cookbook" finds there Lightroom Help | Using the Watermark Editor
    Should we really do that? Thereover there is a wonderful philosophical discussion:
    http://webhome.idirect.com/~bowers/copy/copy1.htm.
    If you really want to try it, I'll give you here the link to a German website (no problem to adapt the source code) where you can create an alert box:
    http://www.6webmaster.com/homepagetools/klicksperre/do.php
    And by the way there is the misconception that we can protect our graphics (or videos). With little effort interested people can get to their destination. Under some circumstances it simply is a question of browsers technique.
    You will see, that in the end it is still difficult to protect images from unauthorized copying. So you should use best (quote): "To discourage theft, use watermarks, lower quality images and/or digital watermarking like http://www.digimarc.com/digimarc-for-images."

  • PS CS5 - Creating Transparent Logos for Watermarks and Overlays in Photoshop | The Complete Picture with Julieanne Kost | Adobe TV

    In this Episode of The Complete Picture Julieanne demonstrates how to create a single vector logo out of multiple type and shape layers, specify a consistent size, apply a style and save the entire creation as a Tool Preset! In addition, Julieanne shows how to add a scan of your signature to any photograph with a simple change of a layer blend mode.

    I created my first 'test' logo and it worked just fine...thank you.  I am trying to create an improved version, however, when I attempt to select the text to copy & paste it into the work path, I get continually get a pop-up message that "the point you clicked is not inside the vector mask of a visible layer."  I have watched the video OVER and OVER thinking that I missed a step, but....not.  I'm tearing my hair out!  HELP!!

  • PDF Watermark - logo image is not displayed in ibr converted pdf

    Hi
    I have enabled pdf watermark administration and configured image watermark with rule, if the content type is document then the image watermark is to be applied but it is not displayed to the converted word document to pdf by IBR.
    If i change image watermark layer to "over", then image watermark is displayed, but word are displayed under the logo image watermark, so it is difficult to study the document.
    If the native file is pdf, then its image watermark is working fine.
    Thanks
    Deepak

    Hi ,
    I think this could be caused by the following :
    Check the factor set for Transparency and if it is completely opaque (Transparency =0%) then the converted PDF's will not show watermarks which has Layer set to UNDER.
    To get the watermarks displayed PPT's will need to be set to Transparency = 100% .
    The intention of the UNDER watermarking layer is that it should appear"behind" whatever is in the content layer.If the content layer completely covers the page and is opaque, then nothing behind it will be visible,including watermarks.The only reasonable solution is to check the above mentioned value before submitting the PPT's for conversion so that users are aware of this behavior for PPT's
    The above description if for PPT's where in this was found to be caused by the transparency factor of native PPT . If it is a word document then check for the same setting and set to 100% , then test .
    Hope this helps .
    Thanks,

  • How could insert a Watermark or Copy Right logo in Aperture 2?

    Hello,
    Would it be possible to insert a copy right logo or watermark in a version modified & edited in Aperture 2? Or that is not available in Aperture 2?
    Regards

    Since I think Aperture will expect you to furnish a .psd file, it might be best to find a friend to create the watermark image as a PSD with transparent background.
    Where are you using your images after they leave Aperture -- many gallery sites provide ways to watermark on their websites? Or are you wanting to have on images you print?
    You might check on http://www.versiontracker.com/macosx/ for some app to create this, and you might investigate whether Photoshop Express (PS Online) has enough capability to create the needed file for Aperture.

  • How do I duplicate the Julieanne Kost watermark procedure

    First, I must explain I am a beginner and have been having difficulty executing a successful watermark procedure, specifically making original line drawing art a watermark. I recently ordered Photoshop For Dummies online.
    The best help I have found is Adobe TV "The Complete Picture with Julieanne Kost".
    The program is located here: http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/psc5-creating-transpare nt-logos-for-watermarks-and-overlays-in-photoshop/
    It is the last five or six minutes describing making a handwritten signature into a watermark overay that I am attempting to learn. I am not sure what I am not doing right. Julieanne is taking a pixel drawing of her signature and with the move tool pastes the signature image right over the photo with white background and all. She then removes the white background by clicking "multiply".
    Howerver, closer observation shows that these are already converted into "psd" I tried to do the same procedure by using jpg and a jif. I was not able to use the move tool to take the signature and move it to paste on the the jpg image.
    How do I change the jif image and the jpg photo into psd documents? Is that where I am having diffuculty?
    What I ultimately want to do is take a artwork drawing with a white backfround and make it ito a watermark and overaly it onto a photo image. I also want to adjust the opacity of the watermark.
    Julieanne Kost is doing a procedure that is very close to what I want to do.
    Thank you.

    Is this the correct link:
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/adobe-evangelists-julieanne-kost/pscs5-creating-transparent-logo s-for-watermarks-and-overlays-in-photoshop/
    The format (jpg, tif, psd) is utterly irrelevant.
    Just make sure that, with the Move Tool selected, you click on the thumbnail in the layer of the source image in the Layers Panel and drag that right onto the open document of your target document.
    That's all.

  • Issues creating vector watermark in CS6

    Hi All,
    Been battling this one for many hours now so hopefully some can point me in the right direction.......... (I'm not particularly cluey when it comes to PS so there in lies the problem)
    A year or so ago i created a vector based watermark using Julieanne Kost's tutorial here - http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/pscs5-creating-transpar ent-logos-for-watermarks-and-overlays-in-photoshop/ - I saved the resultant custom shape as a .png file and used it in lightroom as my watermark. Unfortunately I made the mistake of using "2013" in that watermark so now it is outdated!
    I've been trying to create a new watermark (minus the year this time) in CS6 following the same set of instructions. All seems to go well until I select my work path watermark and define as a custom shape. It allows me to save the custom shape but when  I go to use it it only draws an opaque box without text....... the attached picture may explain it better. Top right of the display window is my various text and shape layers used to create the watermark. I managed to group these into one work path but when I define them as a custom shape and then use that shape all that is drawn is the opaque rectangular box below my layers based watermark. Can anyone gice me some clues as to what I'm doing wrong or offer an easier alternative to creating a vector based watermark in the style I've got here?
    Cheers -Liam-

    I recommend you look up Scott Kelby's watermarking script. It covers pretty much 90% of all needs on that end. For printing you would simply retain your original photos and only send out the watermarked versions for review. Beyond that watermarks are simply image files or text overlaid with reduced transparency which you could do easily yourself. An action for this would basically look like this:
    Open image
    File --> Place, load watermark file
    Reduce opacity
    File --> Save as Copy
    There's of course infinite variations on the theme... Also keep in mind, that actions require all images to be the same size and aspect, hence the script I mentioned would be a better alternative...

  • Creating transparent logos help?

    Hi,
    I've been working through this tutorial
    http://tv.adobe.com/watch/the-complete-picture-with-julieanne-kost/pscs5-creating-transpar ent-logos-for-watermarks-and-overlays-in-photoshop/
    But as I have upgraded to Photoshop CC I am having a few issues.
    I have done everything in the tutorial, but when I come to use my custom shape if I just click on my image a pop up box appears that says 'Create custom shape' with boxes to fill in the pixel sizes, and two check boxes 'from centre or preserve proportions'.
    If I click and drag this box doesn't come up, instead the custom shape is put down ok but the little path squares are on. If I click on a different layer they go away, but when I click on the shape layer they come back again! How do I make it so that my custom shape appears like a normal image?
    I've got shape selected in the drop down box.
    I have just discovered the properties box, if I click on the shape path it changes to the normal shape, is there a way to make that the default?
    I also want to apply the layer style and have tried saving a new tool preset. But the layer style won't save on it. Any ideas what I am doing wrong?
    Any tips greatly appreciated.

    When you click on the document without dragging, the pop up appears as it want to know what size the shape should be at that location. Thats why it does not appear when you drag, as that drag tells photoshop what size the shape should be.
    What I think maybe happening, is you have the custom shape tool set to path instead of shape. In the top tool bar on the left side of the screen you will see (second icon in) a drop box or 3 icons (depending on your version) If a drop box click it and select shape, if 3 icons click the left icon not the middle or right.
    The shape option is also the default, so if you can not figure it out you can click right click on the very first icon in the top tool bar and select reset tool or reset all tools.
    Layer style do not save in the tool presets, those presets are for the tools not the object. What you need to do is open the styles panel (window>style) Then save your preset there. Either click on the new icon at the bottom of the styles panel or click inside the panel.

  • How do I superimpose a stationary logo onto a slideshow?

    Hello,
    is it possible to show a stationary logo over a slideshow while applying the Ken Burns effect to the slides?
    A logo or watermark put on a slide will obviously move along with the panning and zooming. I would like the logo to stay in the same place all the time with the slides moving independently under it.
    Thanks in advance for any advice!
      Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Mark:
    Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You might be able to do that in iMovie. There may be an available plugin that would overlay one clip, a still clip of your logo in some location, over another. You'd have to inquire over at the iMovie forum.

  • Logo on your iMovie 11'

    Hello,
    Is there any way that you put a logo or watermark on your clip created with iMovie 11' and MacOSX SnowLeopard ? Just like a logo of a TV channel, for example, but made by myself.
    Thank you

    Here is one way to do it. Create your log in the application of your choice, such as Photoshop, Acorn, Pixelmator, etc. Be sure it is in the same aspect ratio as your project. If you project is 16:9 for example, make your logo so it fills up a 1920x1080 size PNG file.
    Next, drag this file into your iMovie Project and use Picture in Picture to set it in one corner of your movie.

  • How do i add images in the header and footer to a PDF using iText

    Hi ,
    I want to add images to the header and footer of every page while i am genrating a pdf i have created a separate class called EndPage which i am instanceiating its default constructor in another class 's button action method.
    The above code genrates a PDF for me however it genrates a file with file size zero bytes and does not open it following is my sample code
    //**********Any Help would be appreciated
    Thank You
    public class My_Class
    public String pdf_action()
    EndPage ep=new EndPage();
    return null;
    }//My_class Ends

    * @param args no arguments needed
    public EndPage()
    try {

    PdfWriter writer = PdfWriter.getInstance(document, new FileOutputStream("D://proposals/endpage.pdf"));
    writer.setPageEvent(new EndPage());
    document.open();
    String text = "Lots of text. ";
    for (int k = 0; k < 10; ++k)
    text += text;
    document.add(new Paragraph(text));
    document.close();
    catch (Exception de) {
    de.printStackTrace();
    public void onEndPage(PdfWriter writer, Document document) {
    try {
    Rectangle page = document.getPageSize();
    PdfPTable head = new PdfPTable(3);
    for (int k = 1; k <= 6; ++k)
    head.addCell("head " + k);
    head.setTotalWidth(page.width() - document.leftMargin() - document.rightMargin());
    head.writeSelectedRows(0, -1, document.leftMargin(), page.height() - document.topMargin() + head.getTotalHeight(),
    writer.getDirectContent());
    PdfPTable foot = new PdfPTable(3);
    for (int k = 1; k <= 6; ++k)
    foot.addCell("foot " + k);
    foot.setTotalWidth(page.width() - document.leftMargin() - document.rightMargin());
    foot.writeSelectedRows(0, -1, document.leftMargin(), document.bottomMargin(),
    writer.getDirectContent());
    catch (Exception e) {
    throw new ExceptionConverter(e);
    }

    Hi,
    Thanks for the quick response.
    The problem is that when I keep the logo as a watermark, the pdf is not adjusting itself to include the logo as header.
    But if I add a header text via Tools -> Headers and Footers, the pdf is adjusting itself so that the header text is at the beginning , not overlapping with the contents of pdf.
    But while using logo as watermark, some times overlapping of the pdf contents and logo is happening.
    Is there any way to add a logo in the Header and Footer via the option in Tools -> Headers and Footers
    Thanks,
    Vidhya

  • I think I'm in big trouble now - CFReport

    Hi all,
    My client asked for some nicer reports that don't look so "excel-ish", specifically they wanted to see some nice looking 3D charts along with their data in a PDF format.
    So, I worked on trying to create some nice mockup charts using the CFChart command, which I haven't used in a few years. I discovered the whole WebCharts3D series of charts, and was fairly impressed with the flexibility it had. So, I created an HTML page with my data and my new charts, and used CFDocument to make them a PDF. They looked great! Nice gradients on the backgrounds, my client's logo at the top of each chart, pie charts that jump out of the page at you... I got more than a few "wow's".
    Then, I had to do it for real, and quickly saw that using CFDocument does not allow you to print page headers and footers when the report is more than a page long. I played for quite a while with google searches and CSS tricks to get it to happen, but it just isn't there yet - you can't get multiple footers to print (although you can get multiple headers - but it's hokey). Not to mention problems of the page break cutting off a line of text (maybe solvable, but at what cost? hours more of my time). So, I gave up using the CFDocument tag for our reports.
    Then I tried the CF Report Builder. I have had some teething issues, but have been able to get a basic report at least, complete with my client's logo and watermark, and a pie chart. However, the pie chart looks terrible compared to the slick WebCharts3D pie chart that I did before. Plus, I haven't been able to get a bar chart work off of a passed in query yet, but I could probably get through that on my own.
    To my question. Can you use a Webcharts3D chart in a CFReport? or, in other words, can you use CFChart in a CFReport?
    If I cannot, I think I'm in big trouble, as the client thinks I can create these nice charts in a slew of new reports they want me to write... and I'll have to tell them that it's not possible? After I've already shown them what CFDocument can do?
    Thanks in advance...
    Swift

    Unfortunately, the file is probably gone.
    If it is retrievable, you will need to go directly into the drive. This means that the drive must be pulled from the Time Capsule and placed in an enclosure, just to see if the software program can retrieve the information. That's a big "IF".
    I haven't tried this, (pulling the drive will void the warranty on the Time Capsule), so I can't predict what your chances of success may be. Perhaps some other users could help in this regard.

  • I have a line drawing (black on white paper) i have scanned and need to make the white paper transparent, maintaining the line drawing, can i and then HOW can i do this in PS?

    i have a line drawing (black on white paper) i have scanned and need to make the white paper transparent, maintaining the line drawing, can i and then HOW can i do this in PS? this is for my business logo. ive used it for years but with a solid background. id like to have it just be the drawing over my photos with a transparent background.

    First let me apologize for posting a reply that was only suitable for advanced users.  Photoshop is broad and powerful therefore has a huge learning curve.  In fact I would state no one knows and uses all of Photoshop.  When we first get Photoshop it intimidate us and we're very uncomfortable using it.  Many thing are not intuitive there in much learning involved.  After some time we begin to know something and we are able to do some thing.  Learning become rapid and we start playing in Photoshop.  It is very important to play with Photoshop.  Playing with Photoshop and asking for help with in forums like this IMO is the best way to learn.
    Photoshop Power lies in layers, selection and automation.  However it takes knowledge to use photoshop well so most powerful tool you have ins Photoshop is the gray matter between your ears.  Most at one time or another want to watermark or put a logo on their image.  So its best to automate this process. All run into a problem in the process. "Size"  We find our assets vary in size and aspect ratios. Landscape, Portraits, Panoramas and others. This complicates automation.  Vector graphics works best when size vary greatly.  If you can not work out how to create a vector solution like a custom shape.  Create your Logo and watermark large thing scale down better the up. Text scale well for text uses vectors graphics however if you rasterize text it will not scale well.
    I do not type or do English well so let me do some screen captures.  I can not stress enough how important Black, White, Grays and Blending is when it come to image processing.  Become friends with Multiply, Screen, Overlay and Luminosity blending.....
    However when there is a white or black background though you can blend them you can not add a style like a drop shadow, emboss or make it invisible setting fill to 0 so only the style is visible.  When there is contrast between the logo and background it is easy to separate the two. To select the background and delet it to have the logo with a transparent background.  Many tools can be used to create the selection hee I use my action kill white.
    Vector Shape would work better for scaling However it would be best to create the logo from scratch in a vector program like illustrator but I never had the resources to justify the Creative suite. I only had Photoshop.  Recently Adobe gave me and other a year subscription to the creative suite for our participation here.  I still have not installed anything but Photoshop,  A while back I found a program that can create vector patf for black and white art work.  It will not be as good as using something like illustrator. However vector paths can be edited in Photoshop and cleaned up some. Here is the PSD it 13MB because od the gradient http://www.mouseprints.net/old/dpr/AmPm24-7.psd

  • Motion project to FCPX

    I created a logo animation to go at the end of a commercial. how do i import this into FCPX?

    Since your project is very specific to a set logo, exporting as ProRes 4444 is perfectly adequate. If you were designing a logo-style watermark or similar design, then you would want to be able to edit the text elements, and perhaps be able to change the color of the background elements from inside FCPX. In that case, you would "Publish Template" from the File menu. In the popup Publish dialog, you would check the bottom checkbox: "Publish as Final Cut Generator" -- provide a category (or select one from the Category dropdown) and give your Template a name. In FCPX, you would find it (immediately available, BTW) in the Generators > Category you saved it to.
    If your final destination for Motion projects is FCPX, when you start a new project, you would select one of the available projects from the opening dialog. Normally, a "logo style" design project would be a Title project (but it doesn't necessarily have to be as a Generator is also a viable choice.) If you start your project as one of these specific types (Effect, Generator, Title or Transition) the simple act of Saving the project automatically publishes the project for use in FCPX (you have no other choice to save it anywhere else! You still need to provide the Category and a Name in the Save dialog [duh].)
    If you decide to create  templates that are editable in FCPX, those parameters you would want access to in FCPX (for example things like shape colors, opacities, etc.) all you need to do is right click on the specific parameter in Motion and select Publish (if it is allowed!) from the popup menu. You can set default values for your published parameters by selecting the Project layer at the top of the layers list and then the Project pane from the inspector followed by the Publishing tab. (You can find out how to deal with "Snapshots" later on.)
    It's easy to create your own custom templates with Motion.
    Have fun!
