Logo overlay problem - red color

I have two logos that I need to put on top of footage on a 16:9 NTSC timeline. One logo is white and read crisp, the other has a red element that pixelates after rendering it. I've imported it as a psd, tif and jpeg and they all act the same. How can I get it to render properly? Thanks.

You probably cannot. Converting CMYK or specific ink colors to video is quite nearly impossible. If your client balks at this, ask them how they would represent their red in any medium their logo designers did not anticipate or allow for in their brand specs. Say they were given an opportunity to display their logo on the side of the Goodyear blimp which uses RGB LEDs. The logo, as art would look quite good. But if you are trying to display a copy of a video or television commercial, their "red" would be redefined by the video codec, the blimp's onboard computer's transcoding processor, and the ability of the LEDs to render the colors received from the computer. There will need to be some adjustments to their perception of accuracy.

IMovie 11 - Logo overlay problem

Hi - When I place my logo (png format) over my video the video stops in the playback and the audio continues. However if I place the cursor directly on the place where I placed my logo I see the video, audio and my logo overlay. Any advice?

this is a 'flaw' of this trick:
in iMovie, on preview, playback can stutter, no pic, no png, audio only etc.
on final export everything will be rendered and fine - promised!

Red color problems in LR 4.1

Have LR 4.1, CS6, Windows 7, use AdobeRGB1998, PSD, color managed with Eye one display 2, RAW images. Rarely take photos of red subjects, so have not seen this problem before now......wedding with 10 bridesmaids in "coral" dresses has uncovered a problem. Am seeing difference in red colors within LR, from the Library to the Develop mode/views they are different.. When saving PSD to the web as sRBG, colors of red are garrish, not at all true to the original PSD doc. Sending jpegs to Walgreens for my family shows very wrong colors, ranging from pink to orange to too-red. Anyone else having these problems?

Go into your develop panel and softproof one of these images for sRGB. Turn on the monitor and profile gamut warning. My guess is that the red color is outside both your monitor and sRGB. This will give rise to very large color shifts easily especially in highly saturated colors. The only thing you can do about it is to bring them back into gamut. Printing problem - HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-One Printer, Red color fads on 4th copy

I have an HP HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless All-in-One Printer, and am trying to print 75 copies of a program for our event. After the first 5-6 pages the RED in my program starts to turn magenta. I have brand new HP ink, and am printing on HP Color Injet Paper. I have renectly replaced the Black/Yellow printhead (at least 6 months ago). At first when I cleaned the printheads, I could print 2 or 3 pages showing my RED color. Then turns back to magenta. When I received the test patterns after cleaning the print heads they are all perfect with no lines.
What is going on and how can I fix it?

I understand you have an Officejet 8500 Wireless that is not printing red properly, it keeps turning to magenta. I'm sorry to hear this, but I will definitely do my best to help you!
As I'm sure you saw, when replacing the black and yellow printhead, that there are two printheads in the Officejet 8500 and the second one controls the magenta and cyan. I would suggest that you first have a look through this Troubleshooting Print Quality Issues document. You can also manually clean your printhead with the steps in this 'The Following Printhead Appears to be Missing or Damaged' or 'The Following Printhead has a Problem... document.

X220 IPS Screen Color Problem (red is orange)

Hi Guys,
Just received X220. Excellent one ! However, I am having some problems regarding color accuracy. Screen seems more warm. Red tends to be orange and green appears more yellowish. I came to know that this is a generic problem for IPS ( HP ENVY 15 also has this issue). Does anyone notice this? Is there any fix for it?

It's actually not problem of IPS screen, but the problem is with the original non-IPS screen. Lenovo's screen is severely blueish, it has a very bad color accuracy. If you are adopted to the original screen, you will find IPS is warm and not accurate. But I can assure you if you search for benchmarks about the IPS screen, it is a perfect screen in terms of color accuracy. Although not as good as Apple IPS, it has the same level of color accuracy.

HP Color Laserjet 2605dn won't print the red color

My HP Color Laserjet 2605dn won't print the red color. It's comes out very light, barely a pink color. It's not the ink cartridge because it's full and I'm having this problem even when I change cartridges.

With DB02 tcode, DB file in red color & status gives No free space

With DB02 transaction --> in File tab it is showing all Database files with red color and in the status message gives "No free space in file".

It helped me solve my issue, I increased the size of the files as recommended and their status in DB02 changed to green.

I think I have the same or a similar problem. I have a AMD A4-6210APU with radeon r3 graphics 1.8 ghz running 64 bit windows 8.1.
Since updating the graphics driver last week I have noticed the colour red seems more pink or purple. This is particularly notable as a lot of my buttons and icons contain scartlet as the principle colour. I only purchased the laptop in August so I doubt this is due to a deteriation of the hardware and therefore seems to be an issue with either the display driver or the display settings.
I have attempted to rectify the problem by resetting the display settings to default.
This partidular model does not appear to have any contrast settings built into the controls, therefore I have no way to adjust the colours manually.

I have read your post on how your notebook doesn't display the red color on the screen, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
To ensure that your system is installed with the correct graphics software, I recommend installing the original software and hardware drivers that first came with your computer. This can be done by following the steps in this document on Using Recovery Manager to Restore Software and Drivers (Windows 8). Once the software is installed, please update the chipset and graphics drivers Using HP Support Assistant (Windows 8).
I would also encourage you to post your product number for your computer. Below is a is an HP Support document that will demonstrate how to find your computer's product number. In addition, it will also help if you indicate whether your operating system is 32 or 64 bit. The more information you can provide, the better!

I got pi production system.When i verified componenet in RWB everything is fine except adapter engine.
Adapter Engine in red color status.Error in Are registrations of connections and protocol handler without errors?
I clicked on details.Please see below

Possible reasons:
1)Maximum allowed connections to DB or EIS is reached. You can apply CSN Note 719778 in order to check and resolve connection leaks.

Problem with colors showing in PE10

Is there a known problem with color in Elements 10?
I have a gif that when opened in paint shows the light blue color correctly but in PSE10 shows as a buff color.
Red, yellow and blue seem about right.
It doesnt matter if it is the gif or the psd file the color showns the same in PSE10.
Is there a setting or could something be corrupted.

No red colors on projector

When showing Keynote presentations via my Macbook and the official Apple convertor to VGA for the projector, I still get no red colors on projectors (or beamers as they are called in Holland). I have tried everything, used different VGA cables. I have been in several presentation rooms, with different projectors and different VGA cables, and the problems remains. No red colors...
It does not seem to be a problem with the different projectors or their attached VGA cables. The Apple convertor is the official convertor as sold by Apple,

Changed the color profile like suggested in other threads, also recalibrated in about a hundred different ways, all to no avail...
The red on the projector screen is showing up as black.
I am currently using a Dell 1100MP projector, but switched it out to a Sanyo and still had the same problem.
I, too, am using an Apple connection for my VGA cable.

AP's 1240 Change to Red Color in the WLSE

I work with the WLSE and I connect more APs 1240 in my network, but when I try to add these devices appear in red color or in other cases in yellow color. I check the IOS version of that Devices and does not appear to be that.

No Msr, Thanks for your opinion, but That AP's was installed and worked in the network. I think That problem it's because the Ap's has interference. When I instal other Ios Version, I saw the Ap's change to yellow color and before that change I saw The Ap's int red color.

Missing red color in adobe RGB

I shoot raw with Nikon Camera. I am having a problem with getting red color in photoshop. . For nef files, I open them in Capture NX2 and then save as jpg in Photoshop. The jpg image was opened in Photoshop CS5 with a color setting of sRGB, beatiful red color is seen on the screen. When the same.file was opened in in Photoshop CS5 with a color setting of AdobeRGB ("aRBG"). the red color turned into orange color.
As shown here, the only difference in color is red hue between sRBG and aRGB. This is not an isolated case. All of my pictures look like that. When printed on Canon i9900 inkjet printer under "Photosbhop Manages Colors setting, red color comes out in orange color. But printing under Printer Manges Colors" setting, they came to be close to red color. I do not understand why aRBG does not produce red color. Could someone explain to me why?
PS: I could not upload two pictures (sRBG and aRBG). It seems that inserting image was disabled.

These statements are vague or functionally incomplete. For example, are you saving your JPEGs with a color profile embedded? When you choose "Photoshop Manages Colors", what profile is set for the printer?
Do you have a basic understanding of color-management?
The kinds of color shifts you're describing can occur if you are assigning a profile different than the one the RGB values are encoded in, or viewing an image encoded in Adobe RGB with a non-color-managed application.
The document color profile needs to match the profile used to encode the RGB values, and the application needs to interpret the color profiles of both the document and the output device for the color to be displayed or printed properly.
May I recommend going out and seeking some primers on basic color management online. Keep in mind a lot of what's published is sometimes misleading or downright inaccurate, because a lot of people have trouble understanding color management at first. Try to avoid advice that says "set it like this", but seek the information that describes how color management actually works, so that you can get your mind around it and make your own informed decisions how to set things up.
