Hi,
1.Check development server response time from your system by pinging the development system.
2. Check file system of your development system and do the cleaning to free the file system.
3.Please check table space also.

    Dear all,

    Hi,
    Basically Crystal report run with SQL statement, I would suggest to do well performance tuning on SQL query / Store Procedure.
    Structure your query in DBA manner that will make some how faster such as use ( inner join, less condition,...)..
    also if it simple query then use Command in Crystal report rather store Procedure..that make some how Faster your report.
    Thanks

  • SAP SNC Portal DCM screen performance is very slow and times out

    Friends,
    SAP SNC Portal DCM screen performance is very slow and times out when user trying to pull data using customer location
    What are the cleanup activites we can do to improve the overall SNC performance ?
    We did open OSS message but so far no reply from SAP , Is there any one faced performance issue ?
    User/vendor is complaining about slowness , query is standard SAP and its taking more time  .(table - /LIME/NTREE) , It looks like number of data are huge causing this problem related to LIME/NTREE table. What are the options to improve the performance ?
    Thanks in Advance
    Hanuman Choudhary

    hi Team,
    Pls . note the advise from SAP below, IS there any have experiance of archiveing /LIME records ?
    Please advise how to start & what the steps in archiving ?
    Thanks in advance
    I had a look at the DCM query performance in PH1 system and figured out
    that most of the time is spent at the LIME layer of database. The
    following LIME tables are having far too many entries and is causing
    the bottleneck during the query execution.
    /LIME/NLOG_QUAN - 38,165,467
    /LIME/PN_ITEM - 19,116,518
    /LIME/PN_ITEM_TB - 19,154,124
    These tables are storing the historical information about LIME(stock)
    updates. Since these table grow with each change/update of stock
    information, it will slow down the performance of the system over a
    period of time. And to avoid the slow responses, the tables should
    ideally be archived on a periodic basis to keep the data volume as
    minimal as possible. You may have to discuss with the Business to
    determine the number of days of LIME record you would want to retain
    in the system. I would strongly recommend you to consider the LIME
    archival retaining the minimum days (<=60 days) of historical
    information. You can find more information about the Lime Archival
    in the Sap Help link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_scm2007/helpdata/en/44/2a83121dde23d1e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm.
    Kindly get in touch with your BASIS consultant for the LIME archival.
    The application performance should definitely improve after the LIME
    archival. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me in case you
    require any further clarification in this regards.

    What operating system do you use?
    Bad performance with enough free ressources could indicate a hardware damage (for example a dying hard drive etc.)
    Can you verify, that the operating system and/or other software works fine and only the SAP system is slow?

  • Logon to the AV console as AV_AUDITOR is very slow

    Hi all,
    I have implemented Audit vault Server 10.3.0.0 3 weeks back,
    and I'm auditing already 4 databases right now.
    When login to the AV console as AV_ADMIN it takes one second, but logon to the AV console as AV_AUDITOR is very slow. I don't know how to fixe that issue.
    Three weeks back when I installed the AV Server, the login to the AV console was not working, so I updated my browser and registered the Certificate, then I got in AV console with both profiles.
    I will appreciate any help or suggestion !

  • Very slow logons

    I have a Snow Leopard Server 10.6.3 machine with a handful of OD-bound Mac mini clients. The clients all share a single OD account ("frontend") with a network home directory. On almost all of the clients, login with the frontend account takes about 2 minutes from the time you click the Login button until the time the desktop appears. Login with a local account happens at normal speed.
    I have been through a whole plethora of troubleshooting steps trying to figure out why mounting the home directory was slow. Along the way, I fixed a Kerberos clock skew problem and ended up disabling Kerb altogether for AFP. That has the home directory mount speed back to normal on all machines when I log on using a local account and mount the frontend home dir.
    The problem: when I log in to the client, about 60-64 sec pass during the first phase of login (the credential fields are dimmed and the spinning activity indicator appears to the right). Once that finishes, the credential fields disappear; the barber-pole progress indicator shows up and logon proceeds. That makes me think that the problem is with the actual logon, not the mount.
    To test this theory, I created a new OD user account and did not create a home directory for it. Sure enough, when I log in with that account after 60-65 sec the login fails, and there's a log error on the client complaining that the home directory entry for the object is blank.
    How can I troubleshoot what's making these logon operations so slow? There are no errors (at all) in directoryService.error.log or slapd.log. Logins work OK, but they are really really slow.

    We did some additional tests and here is what we found.
    With "Workstation only" checked and performing a domain logon we see 15s with PM disabled / 30s with PM enabled.
    Not as dramatic a slow down as when we are doing both a Novell and Windows domain logon but still a doubling of the time.
    Could I ask someone to try this test in their environment (I'm assuming mixed Novell/MS environments are getting rarer)?
    I also tried a local workstation logon without logging into Novell. Once at the XP desktop I then performed a Novell logon and it completed in just a few seconds. So this seems to be a problem with the T420's addition of the Cisco Energywise technology and the logon process.

    Hi everyone,
    we have a problem when testing a connection to a TCP/IP RFC. this is also related to IDOCS being pushed to SIEBEL end. the logon time is very slow.

    Hi,
    i've resolved problem 46029, but it remains loop problem in Oracle Bi Administration Tool. In addition, if in Answers I click on "Create Direct Request" I have results immediately. Otherwise if I submit a query on "Settings->Administration->Issue SQL, system goes in loop as in Administration Tool. At this point a begin to think that problem is at AWM creation cube step. In your opinion? What about your opinion? What other checks can I do, to resolve the situation?
    P.S. If I submit the same query given from NQSQuery.log under SQL PLUS, it goes in loop.
    P.S.2. I've tried all on a smaller cube. "Update Row Count" or "Retrieve Data" in Administration Tool now responds in acceptable time. I've deployed cube in Answers, and even in it , query returns in acceptable time. But it's a very small cube. For larger cubes situation is that explained. However, in this way, i think i can exclude all previous problems as cause of my issue. What do you think? However the problem remains. What can i do?
    My trouble is that I have still deployed a month ago a cube which responds in two seconds even to complex queries :-). Since that moment, performance has been always worst. The only change i've made has been of execute procedure to have multiple catalogs (and rpds) on same machine...
    Thanks

    Hi Experts,
    Here I am getting the problem, my PRD server getting dead slow unexpectedly. Here we are using logon load balancing, appserver is running fine but DB server getting very slow. its only happening for particular time only 15 -20 mins. Please help us to rectify the solution.
    PRD Details:

    In most typical cases of PRIV sessions and your ST02 screenshot is due to lack of memory on the system.  The red on ST02 means you are swapping, which is not ideal; I can't see the actual numbers but it looks like CUA is in the millions?
    If your system was restarted recently then you need to update that buffer to be larger and lower the amount of swaps.  If you haven't rebooted/restarted the system recently, then you need to review how often the swaps are occurring and adjust to fit your needs.

  • Lightroom is very slow, utilizes 100% CPU, then freezes or closes program.  How do I fix it?

    I am having a problem with Lightroom 5 being very slow, utilizing 100% CPU, then freezing or closing the program.  How do I fix it?
    I just upgraded to LR5 from LR3 on Sunday as well as CS6 from CS5 (which I have not tried out yet).  I spent several hours talking with Vamil, from LR Support Staff yesterday.  He was extremely helpful and kind and tried everything he could think of while remote-handling my PC and talking with me on the phone.  He deleted preferences, cache, temp files, updated graphics with a new replacement file from AMD site, then re-downloaded and reinstalled LR5.
    It is still very slow and then freezes and closes down with a message of utilizing 100% CPU.  Within several seconds of using the brush in Develop, I started having lots of problems.  I could not even move the picture around.  The side screens would not disappear like they should.  And I could not move to another picture.  The day before I spent several hours trying to work on just 1 picture.  After all the changes yesterday, I tried to move from picture number 1 to about 130 after having not touched it for 10 minutes, and a half hour later, it still said, "Processing" with no picture coming up, just a blank prieview pane.
    LR Support suggested I get a new CPU though he thought according to specs mine should be ok and other programs were running fine.
    My PC is only 2 years old.
    I talked to HP briefly about CPU updates for my HP PC.  He said I probably do not have a problem but suggested I run self-diagnostics and maybe buy a new CPU anyway.
    I ran diagnostics listed through the HP Support Assistant connection on my PC.  All was ok.
    I still researched if I could buy a compatible CPU upgrade.  I cannot even find any CPUs still selling that are listed for my PC.  Best Buy Store said they could not even order a compatible CPU.  They said my Bus speed may not be big enough, so they suggest I get a new PC.  What Bus speed do I need?
    I have the following PC Setup:
         AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor 2.70 GHz with 6 Cores
              with 2700 MHz Base, 3200 MHz Boost, and 4000 System Bus Speed, and 95 watts;
         HP Pavilion Elite, HPE-500y, 900 GB Free, new in 2011;
         Windows 7, 64 Bit;
         RAM 16 GB, DDR3;
         Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6450;
         Nikon, D200, with Raw Files;
         External Hard Drive for Original Photos, 600 GB Free;
         LR Catalog and Library are on Main Hard Drive;
         Monitor, Sony CPD-200ES, new in 2004.
    I am thinking of buying a new monitor tonight mostly so I can do better photo work while enlarging the pictures to do it.  I am concerned that while it will help my viewing, it will take more power away, and make my usage of LR5 even worse.  Will a new monitor affect my performance?  I am looking at HP Monitors with IPS.  Is this the best recommended choice for LR and Photoshop CS6?
    I think I would like to stay with a 6 core processor since I need to have several items open for other non-Photoshop functions.  When running LR5, I had everything else closed.  With LR3, I was able to have other things open.
    I do not really want to buy a new computer and know that those I have talked with at this point are only guessing after looking for what they thought should fix it.  4 People from Lightroom Support have all thought I should not be having problems with my setup.
    I bought one of the best computers 2 years ago.  Is it really obsolete already so that I cannot use LR5?  Is everyone else buying a new PC every 2 years?  I used to go 5-7 years.
    Even though I have figured out some of what my PC has, I really do not know technically what I am talking about so am at the mercy of other's help.  Are there any solutions that might work short of buying a new computer?
    I also have taken 40th anniversary photos for some people and am waiting to give them as a free gift since I am not a professional at all.  I am hoping to get through this problem soon so that I can provide some nice memories for them.
    I have not gotten any further than trying to adjust 1 picture.  I have no comments on uploading speed, since I did that while still in LR3.
    Thank you for your time and help.

    I'm running LR with no speed issues on an Intel 17-860 quad core with about the same performance as your AMD Phenom II X6 1045T Processor. My system is also an HP, which originally had a single 1TB 7200 HDD. I've since added a second 2TB Black Caviar HDD, which provided no significant difference in LR's performance.
    AMD processors do not implement hyper-threading and don't need it. I'd start debug by process of elimination:
    1) Disconnect all externally attached USB, FireWire, or other externally connected devices except keyboard, mouse, and your single 1280 x1024 display. This includes all externally attached memory card readers, phones, ipads, etc.
    2) Reboot and logon as Administrator.
    3) Remove your Internet connection and turn off all Antivirus and firewall programs.
    4) Open LR and under Catalog Settings set 'Standard Preview Size' to 1440 (slightly larger than your display width). Under the Metadata tab here make sure 'Automatically Write changes into XMP is NOT checked.
    4) Create a 'New Catalog,' Create a new folder and add about 10 raw image file copies to it for testing, and Import it into the new catalog. In the Import module make sure under File Handling 'Render Previews' has 1:1 selected. Wait until all Preview building has completed in the Library module.
    Try editing these image files inside the new catalog as you were previously.

  • Crystal Report 10.5 very slow (30 minutes) to display

    crystal report 10.5 in vs 2008 display at extremely very slow speed in development server and production server. i have loaded a dataset as the datasource for the report. i also checked the code in debugging mode to know where the delay is but found out it is not from the code as the code executes to the end in less than a minute but the browser keeps loading for several minute before display.
    please kindly help to resolve this issue.

    With CR 2008:
    For OLE DB then use:
    MS SQL 2005 - OLE DB Provider
    MS SQL 2008 - SQL Native 10
    For ODBC then use:
    MS SQL 2005 - SQL Native
    MS SQL 2008 - SQL Native 10
    Once you have a report created, you can use the following code at runtime:
    Public Sub New()
            'This call is required by the Windows Form Designer.
            InitializeComponent()
            'Add any initialization after the InitializeComponent() call
            'Create an instance of the strongly-typed report object
            crReportDocument = New CrystalReport1()
            'Setup the connection information structure to be used
            'to log onto the datasource for the report.
            crConnectionInfo = New ConnectionInfo()
            With crConnectionInfo
                .ServerName = "escalade"    'physical server name
                .DatabaseName = "Pubs"
                .UserID = "sa"
                .Password = "admin"
            End With
            'Get the table information from the report
            crDatabase = crReportDocument.Database
            crTables = crDatabase.Tables
            'Loop through all tables in the report and apply the connection
            'information for each table.
            For Each crTable In crTables
                crTableLogOnInfo = crTable.LogOnInfo
                crTableLogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectionInfo
                crTable.ApplyLogOnInfo(crTableLogOnInfo)
            Next
            'Set the viewer to the report object to be previewed.
            CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = crReportDocument
    End Sub
    And be careful with subreports. If you use the same connection type as for the main report the subreport should piggy back on the main connection. If you use a different connection, you'll have to use code to connect the subreports:
    //loop through all the sections to find all the report objects
    foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Section crSection in crSections)
        crReportObjects = crSection.ReportObjects;
        //loop through all the report objects to find all the subreports
        foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.ReportObject crReportObject in crReportObjects)
            if (crReportObject.Kind == ReportObjectKind.SubreportObject)
                //you will need to typecast the reportobject to a subreport
                //object once you find it
                crSubreportObject = (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.SubreportObject)crReportObject;
                string mysubname = crSubreportObject.SubreportName.ToString();
                //open the subreport object
                crSubreportDocument = crSubreportObject.OpenSubreport(crSubreportObject.SubreportName);
                //set the database and tables objects to work with the subreport
                crDatabase = crSubreportDocument.Database;
                crTables = crDatabase.Tables;
                tableIndex = 0;
                bool SecureDB;
                //loop through all the tables in the subreport and
                //set up the connection info and apply it to the tables
                foreach (CrystalDecisions.CrystalReports.Engine.Table crTable in crTables)
                {   // check if integrated security is enabled
                    SecureDB = crSubreportDocument.Database.Tables[tableIndex].LogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo.IntegratedSecurity;
                    string TableName = crTable.Name.ToString();
                    tableIndex++;
                    crConnectioninfo.ServerName = "VMW2K8CRSE2K8";
                    //if (!SecureDB)
                        crConnectioninfo.UserID = "sa";
                        crConnectioninfo.Password = "PW";
                        crConnectioninfo.DatabaseName = "QTYLTD";
                        crTableLogOnInfo = crTable.LogOnInfo;
                        crTableLogOnInfo.ConnectionInfo = crConnectioninfo;

  • Remote Desktop To Windows Server Very Slow

    I have OS X 10.6 running on a MBP and a problem that seems to be growing worse over time. I am using Remote Desktop (both CoRD and Microsoft Remote Desktop) to gain access to remote servers. One is a Windows Server 2008, the others are Windows Server 2003. Initially all was fine, but over the last 2 months access to the W2K server has crawled to a halt. Now, when accessing the other servers I'm having the same issue. I have tried different clients for remote access, used different high speed Internet connections (FIOS, a private network) and the result is the same. Very, very slow connections.
    I have also tried using a different login on the laptop to no avail.
    I booted Windows on my MBP using Parralels Desktop and tried using Windows RDC to the same servers; that works fine. In fact, I can access the servers very quickly using my iPhone's Remote Access software using the same Internet connection (home WiFi) as my MacBook Pro.
    So I can only assume it's an issue with OS X 10.6, since different devices using the same Internet connection can make a much faster connection. But I can't find any similar posts on the issue.
    Any ideas are appreciated!
