Logon screen buttons missing

I installed Lion when it came out... so far, so good.  Little quirks but it's all working out. I just put it on my second Mac and discovered that the logon screen should have 3 buttons on it (Sleep, Shutdown, Restart).  My first install is missing those buttons.  Anyone else here experience this??

Never mind, found it in the settings.

  • Why is the full screen button missing in iPhoto11 after Lion upgrade?

I upgraded to iPhoto11 with Snow Leopard with no problems. Loved the new look and full screen view. Now that i've installed LION iPhoto appears to have reverted back to the iPhoto 09 look. For example, the full screen tab is missing....  WTH???

I think the problem is that the full-screen button has been moved in the Lion apps. In Snow Leopard it used to be the bottom left, in Lion it is in the top right corner. Is it there in your case?

    Hi Poornima,
    Welcome to Lenovo forums
As I understand that you are facing issue with laptop physically missing print screen button in your G560 laptop.
As you are looking for an alternative option, I would suggest you use snipping tool for taking screen shots.
This snipping tool is available in windows 7, to access snipping tool  go to search and type snipping tool, then the tool appears.
    Hope this helps!

  • Why is the Share Screen button missing?  Anybody?  Anybody?

I have a MacBook Air OS X.5.5, MacMini OS X.4.11, and an older PowerPC OS X.4.11 all connected to a local network (the older PowerPC ethernet - other two wireless). I've setup Tiger on both the Mini and the PowerPC to allow Apple Remote Desktop and setup the Access Privileges on both . . . "allow user to do" everything.
Using Leopard on the Macbook Air, I have a "Share Screen" button for the Mini, but I have no "Share Screen" button for the PowerPC. I've tried everything I can think of . . . nothing seems to work to make the button appear . . . Any ideas? Anybody?

    Hi Janet,
Make sure that the File Sharing access is ticked on in Sys Pref/sharing & and that the Screen Sharing access is ticked on in Sys Pref/sharing. (This is only applicable in SysPref OXS10.5)
In Tiger - make sure that in Sys Pref/Sharing/Services/Personal File Sharing is ticked on.
Did you try ticking the 'Guests may request permission to control screen' in access privileges - that may jog it?? I just connected to my laptop on 10.4 in this manner allowing permission at the laptop end, by doing so I knew the connection was available.
Short of that I'd install Leopard on all machines then screen sharing doesn't require the ARemoteDesktop to allow permission - it's replaced by a simple 'screen sharing' button.
You can also share screens via ichat under Leopard 10.5.
The other issue maybe how you have your network plugged - is your router that the PPC is plugged into the same unit that sends the WIFI signal? If there is two devices you may need to bridge the connection - as they are most likely sitting in separate IP strings. If you can plug the PPC into the same device (Airport Extreme?) then do that also. Good luck.

  • Insert Button on SAP GUI Logon Screen

    Hello,
is it possible to insert a button on the SAP GUI logon screen like the "new password" button?
We want to insert a button, with which the user can generate a new initial password, if he has forgotten his password.
    Thanks for answers

Well, I'd propose to leave the SAPGUI screen untouched but only place a comment on the logon screen (see [note 205487|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/205487]) which informs the user on a URL to a web application (BSP) which provides the desired "forgotten password" self-service functionality.
In the internet you find many examples of such "forgotten password" self-services - good ones and not so good ones. What all of them have in common is the requirement that the user has provided a valid email address or mobile number (during the account registration) which can be used for the required off-band communication. However they differentiate in the way they try to mitigate misuse: some prompt for a so-called passphrase (in most cases: the user has entered a free-text answer to a question chosen from a fixed set of predefined questions, during accoutn registration) before sending a newly created password to the email address retrieved from the user account; others generate a (random) "password change token" which they send to the email address and prompt the user to enter this "password change token" on the webpage (the account remains untouched until the correct "password change token" was entered, in most cases this is also time-restricted). I prefer the latter one.
    Cheers, Wolfgang

  • Add new button on SAP R/3 Logon screen( R/3.4.7) to "Forgot the Password"

    HI
We wanted to add a new option( Forgot password option) on the SAP Logon screen to Change password when they forgot the password.
But the user exit EXIT_SAPLSUSF_001 only triggers after the Logon.
*Our Current SAP Version is SAP R/3 4.7
Is there any other way, which allows,
    1. add a button/ menu option on R/3 LOGON screen to include :"forgot apssword" option.when preseed/selected, it has to execute some piece of  code( our own)  with validation to change the password.
OR. is it possible to add an hyperlink next to password, and when pressed to execute /call a BSP(??) application to change the password in R/3. ?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I think you can try with  GuiXT script.

  • How to use Group Policy to remove the shutdown button on the logon screen

Environment:  Shared use computers running Window 7 Professional and MS office Suite; Windows 2008 Standard server, Windows 7 EC Domain Policy and MS Office 2007 ADML Template downloaded from Microsoft. WIndows 7 Accounts OU.
I am in the process of developing a shared use computer lockdown policy for several Windows 7 computers that will made available in my client's computer lab.  I need to use a group policy setting to remove the Shut Down button on
the logon screen of the Windows 7 client computers.  I am editing the Windows 7 EC Domain Policy to user accounts in a Windows 7 Accounts OU that I created.  I am using the Group Policy editor in the Group Policy Management Console.
Please let me know the best practice for accomplishing this using Group Policy editor.
    Thanks.
P.S. I tried a setting recommended in the following link in the Windows 7 EC Domain Policy which did not seem to work.
    http://www.windowsitpro.com/article/group-policy/can-i-use-group-policy-to-display-or-remove-the-shut-down-button-on-the-logon-screen-.aspx

    Hi Vernon,
I tried the group policy you mentioned (Computer Configuration, Windows Settings, Security Settings, Local Policies, and select Security Options, "Shutdown: Allow system to be shut down without having to log on") and it worked on a Windows 7 client.
Thus you may need to check if the group policy you created is actually applied to clients.

  • Changing Logon Screen WebAS ABAP: image for header

    Hallo,
we would like to change the default logon screen of a WebAS ABAP 7.0 service (CLPBID - APO Collaborative Transportation Planning). The problem is the image for the header (SICF, service, tab error pages, tab logon erros, configuration, adjust links an images).
When we enter - for testing purposes - the URL "/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/Webicons/w_approv.gif", the GIF is displayed correctly. When we choose the URL "/SAP/PUBLIC/BC/Icons/s_aanode.GIF", the GIF is missing. We also created a new folder (SE80, MIME repository), e.g. "/SAP/PUBLIC/TEST" with a file test.gif. But this file is also not displayed on the logon page.
What is the difference between those folders. Are there any prerequsites for using other folders in the URL field? Security concerns? For clarity’s sake, we would like to create new folders with our own ressources...
    Thank you very much
    Sven Westenberg

We have not found a satisfactory solution up to know. We chose the WebIcons folder....

    Hello experts,
how to  display message " welcome to company name" in the sap logon screen.
while typing userid and password in the same screen (right hand side ) , i want to display welcome message.
    Pls give me the procedure.
Moderator message: easy to find via google, system administration, not related to ABAP development, please search for available information/documentation before asking.

If you want to give an error message on some processing you can raise the message in the event at selection-screen.
If you want to display information message also ,the same can be done in at selection screen
In case you want to do the processing selectively like only when the execute button is pressed, then you can do the processing based on SY-UCOMM. (value will be 'ONLI' )

  • Question about logon screen customization

    Hi,
I have to customize the web logon screen of the BEx.
In SICF, on the BEx service, on the Error Pages tab, System logon is checked. If i click on the Setting button I have :
    Define Service-Specific Settings
    System ID
    Language
    System Messages
    Logon and SI
etc ... and in "Logon Layout and Procedure", Sap Impl, Netweaver and SAP Tradeshow.
I have defined a header image in "Adjust Links and Images" and it works !
But ... on my logon screen I have 4 fields, which 3 of them a inactive (system, users and password) and the log on button. Only the drop down menu language is active. Users and Password fields content is "Via popup".
In order to logon myself, I have to select my language and enter in a system popup (not a web form) my login and my password. How can I change this boring sequence ? Isn't it possible to enter directly its logon and password in the first screen ?
    Thanks for your help,
    GC.

    Hello CG,
I think you can pre-define your language, using the parameter 'BspLanguage', in the the url defined at 'Error Pages' of BEX service.
    An example:
    /sap/public/bsp/sap/system/login.htm?sap-url=<%=PATHTRANS%>&BspLanguage=EN
You can also do other things, such pre-define the client, or show the option to change the password.
    An example:
Run default.htm of BSP system_public, to know the parameters available.
    /sap/public/bsp/sap/system/login.htm?sap-url=<%=PATHTRANS%>&BspClient=010&BspChangePasswordVisible=X
    Kind regards.

  • Apex 2.2 - Admin logon screen cannot be displayed

I have installed Application Express 2.2 into an Oracle 9.2.0.8 database running on a LINUX X86 server but even after following all the relevant documentation for the installation and configuration I am still unable to access the 'apex admin' logon screen. I can find nothing of use in any of the log files as to why this is failing. I can connect OK to the database via SQL*Plus as the APEX_PUBLIC_USER so I know the password is correct.
Also, if I enter the URL http://host:7777/ this displays the HTTP Server Home Page, from where I can follow the various links.
If I enter the URL http://host:7777/pls/apex/admin_/ the Gateway Config Menu is displayed and I can see the APEX configuration.
However, when I enter the URL http:/host:7777/pls/apex/apex_admin/ I just get 'The page cannot be displayed'
I at a loss to think what I've missed in this configuration?
I have done a similar install before i.e. Apex 2.2 into a 9.2.0.8 database but on a Windows 2003 server and this all works OK.
Anyone with a similar experience I would value your input before I loose what remains of my hair.
    Regards
    Neil

    Sunny, Thanks for the input.
I have already tried the steps you've described without any success. It would appear that the access.log and error.log files are created when the HTTP server is started. However, when I did this and tried the URL nothing was written into either of these logs.
I don't have a marvel.conf but I have defined the "apex" dad. This is defined in file $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/modplsql/cfg/wdbsrv.app
I don't have a marvel.conf file either on my Windows server, but Application Express is running OK on this system.
I have spent many hours comparing the setup of the two servers and have not found any significant differences to explain why one works and the other does not.
    Regards
    Neil
