Logs are empty

Hi to all
I have Nokia N72 model. I am facing one problem in my cell. It dosen't show the logs. All the dialed, received and missed calls are empty.
Anyone can help me to resolve this problem.
Thanx in Advance
Niraj

try going into logs, then options->settings and change the log duration, it may be set to "no log"

Email seems to be sent, but it doesn't arrive. No 'unable to send' message, sent items and draft folders are empty. The mail disappears. I tried to fully turn off the iPad and have it restart. But it doesn't go off. I keep seeing the small white 'turning wheel' untill the battery is gone. After that, it works again (and so does the e-mail). This happens about every week. What can I do?

*there's no reason to be paranoid*
    Says Mulder .
Anyway, as I mentioned, I don't use any sync-able email, just a very plain-jane POP email provider. iSync reports no devices and has nothing in its log, which matches my never having installed anything in need of syncing.
The thing is, if Mail says its sending something when nothing was ever sent, that's a largish bug whether it is actually sending something or isn't, and there isn't really enough info here to know which of those are the case. Maybe Mail just displays "Sending" because an attempt to do something reasonable is timing out, maybe it does an innocuous and normal POP thing using very confusing nomenclature, or maybe it's really trying to send something which has a wrong flag or something. There isn't really enough info to know what is going on, so I was hoping someone could identify the symptoms.

Screenshots in cover flow of Safari history are empty. Whereas all history is visible. Why? Who knows?

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. For instructions, launch the System Preferences application, select Help from the menu bar, and enter “Set up guest users” (without the quotes) in the search box. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your personal files or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards. Boot in safe mode* and log in to the account with the problem. The instructions provided by Apple are as follows:
Shut down your computer, wait 30 seconds, and then hold down the shift key while pressing the power button.
When you see the gray Apple logo, release the shift key.
If you are prompted to log in, type your password, and then hold down the shift key again as you click Log in.
Safe mode is much slower to boot and run than normal, and some things won’t work at all, including wireless networking on certain Macs.  The next normal boot may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
*Note: If FileVault is enabled, or if a firmware password is set, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can’t boot in safe mode.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, reboot as usual (i.e., not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of steps 1 and 2.

  • Package detail log is Empty

    Hi Experts,
during a data upload with datamanager the upload ends with an error but the detail log is completely empty, why this?
    maybe some log table full?
    tks all
    Mike

Do you mean upload of a file from a source into BPC webfolder or do you mean import data from a file into BPC?
Upload doesn't have a log because it is a pure transfer of a file from a location to other.
    It can succeed or not.
If we are speaking about import of data into BPC the log is empty in case if it was a fatal error and OsoftDMServer component crash.
What version of SAP BPC do you have?
I remember that OsoftDMServer COM+ component has a problem with memory leak unti SAP BPC 7.0 SP6.

    Q: to quit
    The 11 option, go to /u01/app/grid/diag/crs/rac1/crs/trace/ alert.log.
Here in this directory are all the Crs trace files, including css, crsd components etc.
Well,, I think is a small change of 12c.

  • After 10.9.5, Gmail inboxes are empty

I just upgraded to 10.9.5. I opened my Apple mail and my two gmail inboxes are empty. I logged on to Gmail my gmail accounts and all but a few email are gone. It looks like all my gmail mail has been deleted. Has anyone encountered this?

I will defer to you & your much greater knowledge of Mac OS X.
I will consider this a non issue.
    Thanks!

  • C:\Windows and C:\Windows\System32 folders are empty after Deployment

I hope you won't find me crazy because of this question, but I have the weirdest thing !@#
We deploy Windows 7 x86 SP1 in our organization.
Our image is a WIM file that is deployed with SCCM 2012 OSD and we are "Baremetaling" PCs. nothing is being migrated or saved from the current PCs
we configured the driver packages for 4 different hardware types (All of them Lenovo) and all are pilots were successful.
we just started not long ago to deploy the image in the production.
    the problem is:
All of the PCs work just fine after deployment. after a day or 2 , randomly, some of the PCs boot automatically to recover mode and fail on the startup repair action.
When I browsed the local disk I was amazed to see the folder C:\Windows contains only the C:\windows\System32 folder AND BOTH OF THEM ARE EMPTY!!
in this mode I can't even debug logs, event viewer, DaRT.... everything is lost!
it happens so far on 3 of 4 of the different hardware models, so we know it's not hardware related issued or driver.
I know it is very foggy information but I thought maybe someone else has ever ran into this issue and what was the cause
our guess is an update \ software on the base image that causes the damage, though it's a very similar damage for any opinion
any help will be appreciated! thanks
    Tamir Levy

    Hi Tamir Levy,
How can you check the C disk, we need to know the C: is a System disk not a 100M System Reserved partition in this situation.
I also would like to confirm, if you can run system restore from System Recovery boot prompt. If no, what the error message you get.
In additoin, I would like to suggest you try the following steps to check the issue:
    1. Run Check Disk from a Command Line to Check for and fix Disk Errors
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/magazine/ee872425.aspx
    2. I suspect it may be related to malware. You may try to make a full scan with an AntiVirus Scanner like Microsoft Security Essentials.
    Microsoft Security Essentials
    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/security-essentials-download
    3. Use another system image for a test.
Meanwhile, you can collect smsts.log file and detailed progress of OSD TS to get more details to check which problem you are having.
I would like suggest to you post the question on Windows System Center Configuration Manager Forum for further help.

    Hope it helps.

  • Problem: Some categories in Spotlight preferences are empty

    Hello,
    I have a MacBook 13" from the mid of 2007 (2,16 GHz Intel Core2Duo, 3Gb RAM).
Currently Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63) runs on it.
I found a PROBLEM on the SPOTLIGHT PREFERENCE PANE:
In total I can see up to 15 categories, but only 5 of them are working like expected.
I can see the name and the icon of this 5 categories.
    Those categories are
    - Applications
    - Systempreferences
    - Documents
    - Folders
    - Messages & Chats.
All other categories do NOT have a name and an icon.
That means the categories are "empty" and I do not know what they mean.
I have alredy looked for similar problems in here. I although found some old ones,
but the answers in there did not solve my problem...
    1) https://discussions.apple.com/thread/3527634?start=0&tstart=0
    2) https://discussions.apple.com/thread/1890908?start=0&tstart=0
In addition to that, I already deleted the com.apple.spotlight* files in ~/Library/Preferences/.
But this did also not solve my problem...
Do you have an idea how to solve this problem?
    Thanks in advance!

    Open up
     > System Preferences > Users & Groups
Create a new admin account. Log in to that account and see if the problem persists there, too.
If not, go back to the account with the problem, remove everything from login items at
     > System Preferences > Users & Groups | Login Items
    Restart the mac and test.
If the problem exists in the test account and/or removing login items does not resolve the issue, backup your system, restart while aslo holding down 'Command' and 'R' keys and choose 'Reinstall OS X' from the dashboard.
Your own files should be left in place. The backup was just for precaution, but don't forget to do it in case the reinstall goes wrong.

  • Freshclam.log and clamav.log suddenly empty...

My mail server appears to be running fine, and the databases are updating...but...it appears the clamav and freshclam logs are suddenly empty. No config changes happened on the server, they just stopped logging and haven't restarted. One other odd thing: In Server Admin, under the "Update the virus databases X times per day" it shows "Last update: Not available."
For the heck of it, I decided to temporarily rename the log files to see if I could get fresh versions to generate. Bad things happened...so I moved them back. Suddenly, the virus update log started to work again, but the clamav did not; it is still empty.
Any ideas on what is happening?

    Hi,
I had the very same problem, and I've been able to find a fix. It seems the script /etc/periodic/daily/700.daily.server.cyrus is unable to signal both freshclam and amavisd processes once the log files have been rotated, because it relies on a different "ps" program output, and this makes it fail when searching for the process ID.
I've fixed the problem by changing line 137 of the script from:
    +($pid, $tt, $stat, $time, $cmdAndArgs) = split(' ', $line, 5);+
    to:
    +($pid, $tt, $time, $cmdAndArgs) = split(' ', $line, 5);+
as "ps -axwww" doesn't output status column anymore.
    Hope this helps...

  • I need to add check whether 21 fields of a internal table are empty or not.

    Hello,
I need to add check whether 21 fields of a internal table are empty or not.How can we write a code for the same wand what would be the correct syntax for it.
I tried entering all the fields in the IF loop with AND condition but its giving syntax error.Perhaps this is because the lenght of the IF condition would be more than the allowed one.

    Hi,
    After the select quiery.
    If not itab is initial.
Message 'Table is not empty'    type 'I'.
    Endif.
    Regards,
    Jagadish.

  • Can I print with black cartridge only if colour cartidges are empty on HP C1600 seeries printer?

Can I print using the black cartridge only whilst the colour cartridges are empty? I have a HP Photosmart C1600 series printer and Vista installed on my PC. I have set the Printer preferences to  "Grayscale and use Black Cartridge only" but the printer itself is telling me it wont print unless i replace my empty yellow cartridge. I bought a brand new Black cartridge so i could print using black ink only as i dont need to use colour.

    Hi,
Many printers from all vendors will not print with just one empty ink cartidge, it doesn't matter which one. Some printers allow users to print but at slower than snail speed. Whichever way, we have to have ink carridges to be able to print (even scan).
    Regards.

  • Restored standby database from primary; now no logs are shipped

    Hi
We recently had a major network/SAN issue and had to restore our standby database from a backup of the primary. To do this, we restored the database to the standby, created a standby controlfile on the primary, copied this across to the control file locations and started in standby recover and applied the logs manually/registered to get it back up to speed.
However, no new logs are being shipped across from the primary.
Have we missed a step somewhere?
One thing we've noticed is that there is no RFS process running on the standby:
    SQL> SELECT PROCESS, CLIENT_PROCESS, SEQUENCE#, STATUS FROM V$MANAGED_STANDBY;
    PROCESS CLIENT_P SEQUENCE# STATUS
    ARCH ARCH 0 CONNECTED
    ARCH ARCH 0 CONNECTED
    MRP0 N/A 100057 WAIT_FOR_LOG
How do we start this? Or will it only show if the arc1 process on the primary is sending files?
The arc1 process is showing at OS level on the primary but I'm wondering if its faulty somehow?
There are NO errors in the alert logs in the primary or the standby. There's not even the normal FAL gap sequence type error - in the standby it's just saying 'waiting for log' and a number from ages ago. It's like the primary isn't even talking to the standby. The listener is up and running ok though...
    What else can we check/do?
If we manually copy across files and do an 'alter database register' then they are applied to the standby without issue; there's just no automatic log shipping going on...
    Thanks
    Ross

    Hi all
Many thanks for all the responses.
The database is 10.2.0.2.0, on AIX 6.
I believe the password files are ok; we've had issues previously and this is always flagged in the alert log on the primary - not the case here.
Not set to DEFER on primary; log_archive_dest_2 is set to service="STBY_PHP" optional delay=720 reopen=30 and log_archive_dest_state_2 is set to ENABLE.
I ran those troubleshooting scripts, info from standby:

On the primary, the script has froze!! How long should it take? Got as far as this:
    SQL> @troubleshoot
    NAME DISPLAY_VALUE
    db_file_name_convert
    db_name PHP
    db_unique_name PHP
    dg_broker_config_file1 /oracle/PHP/102_64/dbs/dr1PHP.dat

NOW - before you say it - :) - yes, I'm aware that fal_client as STBY_R1P and fal_server as R1P are incorrect - should be PHP - but it looks like it's always been this way! Well, as least for the last 4 years where it's worked fine, as I found an old SP file and it still has R1P set in there...?!?
    Any ideas?

  • I spent hrs fixing my iTunes since I did the update and it wiped out everything! I have put all of my iTunes on my external hard drive and it works but I got a new computer.  I installed iTunes on the new computer but now the folders on my ehd are empty!

I am having a very hard time.  First I finally got all of my music back into iTunes and then moved them all to my external hard drive.  I set up iTunes to automatically put and get music from the external hard drive and whenever I open the drive al of the music is there.  Now, I bought a new computer and went ahead and got iTunes all set up then tried to add folder to import from the external hard drive but all the music folders are empty!  They show the names of the artists and the albums but there is nothing inside.  Please help!!

If you've just moved the drive between systems then see Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows just in case that reveals the missing files. Apply to a single album folder first as a test. Otherwise, if you've not done too much with the drive since things went missing, an undelete tool might recover the lost media. FreeRecover looks promising... Select the drive, use the options to get file paths and check file integrity, then, presumably, you can restore anything that has been deleted that looks recoverable. Backup to another drive when you're done.
