Yes thank you,
i've already evaluated this solution, and this is the only one i've found in fact ....
but i guess there is a parameter somewhere we just have to change ...I actually opened a SR about this a while back and they said it was not possible to change the locations where the logs drop.

I'm attempting to troubleshoot failed installations on packages built with the Mac version of AAMEE 3.0.  Where are the installer logs located that give relevant failure information?  The system log only passes along the generic "The Installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." message when the install fails.  Thanks.

The detail logs can be found at PDApp.log file present in user specific temp folder. You can find this folder using %temp%\PDApp.log (if msi is run from logged-in user account) OR [BootDrive]:\windows\Temp\PDAp.log. (No user logged in)

  • Configuring log location for Adobe Document Services specific log

    Hi All,
Interesting one for you. I am currently helping to resolve a PDF rendering issue which is intermittent. I have sent the default trace logs to SAP, however, there is an additional adobe specific log which should be written to /usr/sap/<SID>/SYS/global/AdobeDocumentServices/renderErrorLog/errorFiles. However, my default trace is saying that they are written to the the wrong SID and also puts a double // between gloab and AdobeDocumentServices, which of course is never going to work.
The system in question is a fully supported system copy of our Production environment, created using SAP sapinst tools.
If anyone can point me in the right direction to edit/configure the renderErrorLog location I would be most relieved as there does not appear to be anything in the Visual Administrator or Config tool.
    many thanks

All the form-related services have to be started first: the IIOP on dispatcher and server, all the Document Services *, PDF manupulation and XML form module.

  • OWB 10gR2 : How to configure ctl and log locations for Sql*Loader mappings?

    Hi all,
I'm using OWB 10gR2 to load data in tables with Sql*Loader mappings.
In my project I have a datafile module and an Oracle module.
When creating an sql*loader mapping in the oracle module, there is two properties for this mappings that I want to modify. The first is Control File Location and the second is Log File Location. Values for those properties are equal to the data file module location. When trying to change those values I can only chose "Use module configuration location".
Somebody knows how to configure those properties with different locations as the one of the flat file module?
What I want to do is to store the data file in one directory, and control file and log file in other directories.
    Thank you for your help.
    Bernard

    Hi,
You're right, my problem is that the dropdown only show the location associated with the flat file location even if I have other file locations created in the design repository.
The good news is that I have found the solution to solve the problem :
    1) Edit the file module and in tab "Data locations", add the locations you want to use for control file and log file.
    2) Open configuration window of the mapping and then the dropdown for properties Control File Location and Log File Location show new locations
I have tested my mapping after changing those properties and it's working.

Just remember, what ever your strategy, the archivelogs must be in a SHARED location (where all nodes can read/write to this location.)

  • Where is the default location for the OC4J logs?

Where is the default location for the OC4J logs?

Depends on what variant of the product you are using.
In an Oracle Applicaiton Server environment (ie the one you install versus unzip) the stdout/stderr streams from OC4J are captured in the $ORACLE_HOME/opmn/logs/<group-instance> directory.
If you are using standalone then stdout goes to the console where you started the process.
The logs for the OC4J instance itself are located in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/log/<instance_group> directory. In this directory you'll see different logs for differet areas of the server. Most of the logs however are captured in the oc4j sub-directory in the log.xml file. Whenever you enable an OC4J component logger in the j2ee-logging.xml file or via ASControl, this is where the logs will end up.
Take a look at the $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/home/config/j2ee-logging.xml file -- the log handlers will give you some idea on the different log files that are in use.
You can configure your application loggers to also direct their log into this file if you wish. See http://buttso.blogspot.com/2007/09/directing-log-messages-into-oc4j.html for an example.

  • SBS 2011 GPO for changing the default save location for Word/Excel 2013 not working

So this is a strange one. I've got an SBS 2011 server that's the only domain controller in the org. I've created a GPO to change the default save location for Excel 2013 and Word 2013 using the Office 2013 ADMX files which were installed to the PolicyDefinitions
    folder.
The GPO (U-Office2013 Default Save Location) only contains:
    1. User Configuration - Microsoft Excel 2013/Excel Options/Save - Default file location - Enabled - Z:\
    2. User Configuration - Microsoft Word 2013/Word Options/Advanced/File Locations - Default file location - Enabled - Z:\
The GPO is linked at the OU that contains my users for my SBS organization.
When I do a gpupdate /force on a windows 7 system with office2013 installed, and then run a gpresult/rsop, the policy appears to be applied successfully as it lists my GPO under the Applied GPOs list on the workstation:
    Applied GPOs
Default Domain Policy dyndns.local AD (24), Sysvol (24)
    U-Office2013 Default Save Location domain.local/SBSusers AD (6), Sysvol (6)
In the gpresult report, the applied settings appear under:
    Administrative Templates
    Extra Registry Settings
    software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\excel\options\defaultpath Z:\ U-Office2013 Default Save Location
    software\policies\microsoft\office\15.0\word\options\doc-path Z:\ U-Office2013 Default Save Location
BUT, when I go to the workstation, and check office->options-Save-default file path, the path has not been changed to what the GPO is pushing.
The strange thing is that in my test environment running 2008R2 server and Win7 with Office 2013 and identical settings the default save location is applied and works as expected.
    Any ideas?
I've already tried re-installing the ADMX templates and re-created the GPO's several times.
I should also note that other GPO's on the SBS2011 server such as the folder redirection GPO work as expected on the same windows 7 system. It just appears to be an issue with the default save location in office2013 and other Office 2013 related GPOs which
utilize the recently added ADMX template that don't seem to be working for me.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Justin,
Thanks for your reply. I have tried several different user accounts (all have local admin privileges to the workstation) with the same issue. The default save path does not get applied from the GPO to any of the users i've tried. Here's the steps I took
    per your suggestion:
    1. log on as a user who has never logged onto the workstation before.
    2. run gpupdate /force (entered y for yes when prompted to log off).
    3. Log back in as the user and open Office and check the default save path. It has not been changed to match the GPO setting.
    4. Check rsop to see if the policy was applied. Rsop states the gpo was applied successfully.
I have attached the gpsvc.log file from a the session described above. The GPO Guid in question is: {DC3C93EC-7C28-48E9-BA38-FCA1E275A207}. Its common name is: U-Word 2013 Default Save Location. It's only setting is:

  • Can you use a network share as location for users' home

I am running a Mac mini with Mountain Lion and Server.app as a home server. For added storage space I have a NAS. I would like to set up the open directory network users' home share on the NAS. Is that even possible?
I am able to mount the network share on the mini using either afp or nfs, and I can also add the NAS share as a home folder enabled share in the server.app and select that as location for a users home folder, but that only results in the user not being able to log on to his account. Is there something that I am missing or is what I am trying to accomplish simply not possible?

It used to be officially supported to use NFS for clients to access their network home directories but with Lion (and Mountain Lion) this was no longer officially supported.
Therefore the need as I mentioned to 're-share' the volume via AFP. As you implied this does unfortunately impose an additional network overhead as traffic has to go as follows.
    client ----> AFP ----> Server -----> NFS -----> NAS
What you could consider to help at least a little bit is to connect the server to the NAS on a totally separate network to the network the server uses to talk to the clients on. The main network would be between the server and clients, and you would use a second Ethernet connection just link the NAS and the server. As the clients will not need to talk directly to the NAS this will not be a problem. This would at least mean that each network only gets one set of traffic either AFP or NFS but not both and means the server can use both at full speed at the same time.
The Mac Pro still has two built-in 1Gbps Ethernet ports but you can also get either a USB3 Ethernet adaptor or a Thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptor (I have used one of these on a Mac mini server).
If you did not already have the NAS then people starting from new would be better off either getting a Thunderbolt RAID which can be directly attached to the Mac server, or at the higher-end go the traditional route of setting up a SAN and using an FDDI connection.
Note: You can now get Thunderbolt to FDDI interfaces.

  • In oracle B2B multiple files are getting picked from SFTP location for one file in custer environment

    Flow is like :
    REST ENDPOINT->OSB PROXYSERVICE->BUSINESS SERVICE->B2B SFTP LOCATION->B2B->SOA JMS Queue->SOA COMPOSITE-
Due to cluster environment, there is issue when B2B picks the file from SFTP location for Custom protocol using sftp listening channel. Sometimes B2B picks multiple files from SFTP location for just one copy of file. It is happening because of cluster environment 4 instances of server is looking into the SFTP location for picking the file and sometime 2 or more instances of server are reading same file and sending the copy to B2B.
Please let me know , how can I stop this behavior

All QFE's have been applied we are building the image so we have some control.
I have build an image which used the debug DLL's of the FATFS and I have enabled all of the DebugZones.  The problem is still happening. From the timings in the debug logs and the timestamps in the data which corrupts the test file I have been able
to see that the file is corrupted AFTER the write is complete. Or at least that's how it seems.
We finished writing the file and closed the handle. Then more data is written to other files. When we get around to verifying the file it now contains data from the files that were subsequently written.
What I think I need to do is figure out in detail how the two files were "laid down" onto the SDCard.  If the system used the same cluster to write the 2 files then that would explain the issue.
