Check with HTC. They are one in charge of coding for that device not Verizon Wireless.

  • Kitkat patch for P780

HI, My P780 is currently running on S228. This patch wasreceived sometime during Jan 15. Its a long time since then I have not seen any patch made available for P780.I have following questions:- What is the plan to release a patch for KitKat or,- What is the plan to release next upgrade (lolipop) for P780.

Hoping to get a reply on this at least from the Lenovo team. I have gone through the upgrade plan but is doesn't show me any plan to go to lolipop for P780.

Hi Team,When can i expect Lollipop Update for lenovo P780, And Please ignore including Lenovo security in update, this is the worst application i have ever seen.Do Reply.

It can handle kitkat. Those problems were coding issues I believe.. and they tried to resolve it but not successful. Can they stop their work on kitkat and start working on lollipop rather.

  • Can't install Skype on Android lollipop for Sony X...

I Just updated mi Android to lollipop and what was my surprise Skype wasn't working so I unistalled it and tried to install it again but it can't be even downloaded, had tried several times and always get error code 495. Any ideas??? I do need it for my work meetings and familiar issues.

What is wrong with your system is that you have an old CPU (AMD Sempron 2500+, 1.75GHz) without support for SSE2 instruction set. Skype 7.6/7.7 version will crash on such a system, but Skype 7.5 may work. http://community.skype.com/t5/Windows-desktop-client/Cannot-install-Skype/m-p/4039905#M355091

  • Lollipop for my Note 3

Ok guys...that time I have been dreading is here. Those of you who know me at all...will get my drift. Over the months I have been reading all the posts about peoples experiences with Lollipop. ...I have been quite comfortable thinking not me...thank god it hasn't got to me yet. "If it ain't broke don't fix it' is my mottoSo I will set the scene. I am in Spain on holiday with the family. I charge my lovely Note 3 last night and when I get up this morning there is the icon I have been dreading...I click on it very very gently (I would hate anything untoward to happen if my finger slipped you see) I read this awful sentenceUpdate package downloaded. Install now? (and THAT word....LOLLIPOP)I exit very carefully, close my phone...put it on the table and there it has remained untouched......No biggie to you lot. Me?...I feel I have a ticking time bomb awaiting....

I got the update 1 week into a 3 month break and I was determined not to install until I was back in the UK. I lasted 3 weeks of this annoying pop up and eventually I had a spare Sunday where my other half was going to see her family.I had all sorts of scenarios going through my head bearing in mind my S3 was as good as bricked when installing the much maligned 4.3 update under similar circumstances. On my 4th beer in the bar and inhibition at it's weakest point and bravado at it's strongest my finger hovered over the install button. 'Don't do it' said the sensible inner voice but it was shouted down by the now dominant 'go for it wimp' repetitive alcohol fuelled bully in my head.In a moment of pure , sod it I don't give a damn' i did the dreaded deed...eek, too late now, time for a **bleep** and another beer...or two!!Result....installed no problem but I'm ready to do the factory reset and download all the missing apps and resign into everything and waste the rest of a gorgeous day. But no, no problems whatsoever and no factory reset needed. Phone ok but can't say I noticed any big difference apart fro menu options. All apps worked great just the same and no factory reset needed. The biggest plus for me was improved battery life and the whole experience was in stark contrast to the S3.I would hate to try and convince you to do it now, with only 11 days or so before you are back in the UK, personally I would wait but don't be worried at all.

  • Android lollipop for HTC One M8

I was under the impression that we'd receive the lollipop update this week and haven't so I wanted some verification as to when verizon is releasing it

Or Manufacturers not give the options(Ala Apple for example) for additional money in their pockets. Food for thought. Just think if all manufacturers did just that? You think carriers will stop carrying 100% of their line up? As long as manufacturers give these options that is what happens.
Another food for thought in Europe it's illegal to give a lot of these options. Carriers install apps themselves when a person signs a contract, but can be removed.

  • Problems with lollipop for motox

I'm having some problems with the lollipop update.  Many contacts seem to have been deleted, and the pinch and zoom feature doesn't work anymore.  Any fixes?

Do you have the 2013 motox?  I'm pretty sure the update was actually pulled because of this and other issues.  Other people are having the same issue if you browse the comments on this article. AT&T Suspends Android 5.1 for Moto X If that's the case they will probably have a fix for it out, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Wanted to know what is the plan for release of new upgrade and the features/fixes going in it.
When can we expect the new upgrade to be available?

Sorry my friend but the Lenovo support team has abondonded us with the buggy KitKat ROM in favour for their newly launched phones.
in short they want us to buy their new phones without asking any support on them.

  • Lollipop for Galaxy S5 issue

I'm sure you've had this come across here more times than I can count or care to count anyways, but I'm pointing out the glaring issues with the lollipop OS update for the Galaxy S5. Now, I'm not going to use bold or CAPS, or a bunch of !!!! to discuss this, but here's the timeline of what happened and why we need the actual fixed version of this OS.
    1. Last week, on 2/4/2015 my phone told me I had to reboot as there was an OS Update and it was the first of two such updates. I figured at least I was at work and on the company wireless so I wasn't going to incur data usage to redownload what I use so I went ahead and did it. After watching it grind away and a couple restarts later, I was in the new OS. The fact that it's as ugly as the latest IOS from Apple aside, I started to poke around a bit, everything seemed okay so I set my work email back up, reloaded my contacts and downloaded only the apps that had updates to say they worked with it. This leads me to #2.
    2. Within 30 mins of that all being completed, all ability to charge off a USB 3.0 port was gone, and in fact the battery was going down from being plugged in. My work computer isn't a hunk of junk and it worked fine with KitKat installed. I unplugged, rebooted, and plugged back in, the charge went up 2% (it had drained 8% prior) and then that's when the fun really started as the phone got nice and hot. So I took it out of the nice big case that Verizon sold me and powered it off because it was really hot already. I waited for it to cool off and then I powered it up. Imagine my shock when the battery said 87% so I figured something got garfed and I cleared the cache after powering off/on. Within 2 minutes, I had a nice handwarmer again so I sighed and went to the next step.
    3. Reformat - this is a pain in the neck, because I did this twice in 90 mins because the first time, I did it, it started getting hot again. The second time I did it, it went slower, and when it was done and over with, I was able to charge the phone off USB 3.0 again, but it was extremely slow.
    4. This is everything from that day to today.
        a. Any call drains the battery like a thirsty person drinking water.
        b. App usage kills the phone like a hungry wolf eating a fresh kill in the woods.
        c. Idling with nothing active and I do mean nothing gives new meaning to the term mobile hot spot.
        d. The phone would lose a race with the tortoise, even if the phone was the only one in the race as everything runs slow.
I've let it sit a week to 'burn in' and it's not improved at all. I went to get coffee from my desk at work and in 5 mins, the phone lost charge from 100% to 94% and nothing was running. I do not have any active services going except for the fact it's on my Exchange mailserver, GPS is off, the screen brightness is at it's lowest, etc. I don't even have any apps on the phone going to that could be an issue, no social media, nothing - my phone is more anti-social than a rabid honey badger. Now before any support tells me to clear the cache or run in safe mode, I've done that, I'm in IT so I know how to Google and find answers, they don't work so your links you'll post, like from a generic customer service textbook file, have already been checked and it doesn't help. And if I warranty the phone, I will get a 'certified' refurb phone, which considering what I paid for my S5 (it replaced an overheating Iphone 4s inbetween renewal dates), I do not want a refurb. I dealt with this once before with refurbs and after 4 bad ones in a row I ended my old contract with Verizon. I returned to Verizon when I wound up going to Florida for a trip and my company AT&T phone wouldn't work and I was 60 feet away from a tower and AT&T wouldn't do anything for me.
I have heard there is an 5.0.1 / 5.0.2 OS that fixed all the glaring issues.
Why do we not have that being 'pushed' to us?

Before someone gets on to me about LG not being first and that the Moto X 14 got it out of the box first...LG was supposed to be on point to release before the rest, Moto excluded i guess.  Definitely wasn't supposed to be Samsung First.  I never got why the new got the new first.  Old should get new first, unless of course, you have an S5 riddled with issues, then maybe an update would help and it should be the first in line.

  • Lollipop for galaxy note 3 phone

Does anyone have a projected date for the OTA for Android 5.0 for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?

No but since AT&T has started to and T-Mobile has already released it I was hoping the bigger carrier would have been the first to release it!
