Lollipop update - new Weather info in Notification drag-down .

Hi
Newbie here. I installed Lollipop on Friday and still getting to grips with it.
I noticed immediately that on dragging-down the Notification bar there was weather information showing. I must have swiped it clear cos for the life of me I can't see how to make it reappear.
Does anyone know how to make it reappear ? It was quite nice!
I have MetOffice app installed as well as the default "Weather" app if that helps.

I do not see how "advance WiFi calling has an impact on the issue with account syncing. I, and many others having an issue where applications, those native to android and third party apps, and not syncing automatically in the background when the phone is connected to WiFi.
As a result, we are not receiving notifications for many applications while our phone are connected to WiFi. This is an issue with devices that have been upgraded to Lollipop. In order to receive updates from applications, you either have to open the application and force it to sync OR disconnect from WiFi.
I've seen this to be called the "WiFi syncing bug" that was at issue in lollipop prior to the release, but was not fixed.

AppleScript for Updating current weather info to iPod

Hi, I was looking to make some AppleScripts in which sent the current weather information to my iPod.
The plan I had in mind was that every day my computer would:
1. Turn on at a certain time (Simple through energy saver).
2. It would then open a web page, say a link to my city from accuweather.
3. Then take a set picture (445x420 to 875x245) and...
4. Add that to iPhoto (Rename to current day if possible?)
5. Then open iTunes and update my iPod.
This sounds a little complicated but I'm not sure what to do... The most I know is the 1st and 2nd steps. Can anyone help guide me through the process or make the scripts for me? I would be grateful!

I followed your suggestion but it apparently is windows only (?). But I have a certain weather site in mind, accuweather. i like the format of it and all the other products i've tried only give a blank text style reading. the details given by weather websites look much better than plain text readings. and i would prefer to have the accuweather format as a picture on my iPod daily.

I cannot view any weather info in iOS 7 Notification Center. Any ideas how to turn this widget on? Stocks and daily calendar are there, just not weather.

Location services are on. Weather app is installed. I can get weather info if I go to the app. That info is completely nonexistent in the pull down Notification Center.
Any ideas?

Never mind.. I turned off location services for the weather app, turned it back on and now it's magically working.

HT3576 How do show actual weather info for location I am in with the notification center. I am in the San Fernando

I live in the San Fernando Valley and I get weather info for the Los Angeles area. Is there a way to change the pull down notification center to provide correct weather info?

I understand what you have explained. Everything is set properly. However, does not solve the issue. I know how to add cities, but you cannot select these cities for pull down notification weather info. I guess this is something that happens in our area. I live in 91343 and it shows info for 90012. Samsung Galaxy 5 Lollipop update issues with new features

I am having various problems with the new update to my phone. Any advice for the issues below is greatly appreciated.
1) Is there a way to get my tabs BACK into Chrome? Having to go to my task manager to get a different tab or close the current one is time consuming and annoying. I want to be able to toggle between tabs and close tabs while I'm in the Chrome application.
2) I use Messages for my text message application. Currently, If I have a message open and I receive another message from that same person, there is no notification. Before the update, I would get a notification of any texts. Unless I exit the message group, I do not get any notification. Is there a setting change that I can apply so I always get notified? This issue has cause me to miss various texts and have delayed responses because I am not actively staring at the phone.
3) Is there a way to override the settings on the Mute sound? Typically, a person will put their phone on mute and set their alarm to wake them up. With the new update, I have to set mute, go to settings, set the interruptions time to 1, 2, 4 or 8 hours. This inevitably ends up with my phone starting to buzz with vibrations well before my alarm is set to go off. I can set alarm to priority, but Mute always cancels all interruptions. Having to go through 4 steps to get my alarm set each night, along with getting vibration notifications is not practical.

Sound and notifications crashing after lollipop update

After upgrading to lollipop, I cannot access sound and notifications in the settings. Aftrr selecting this option I get a pop-up "unfortunately settimgs has stopped " I've cleared settings cache and tried a battery pull.

HT4623 Did new update, now when I open Facebook in safari, it's stuck on notification scroll down

I just completed the latest update for my iPad. Now when I go into Facebook on safari, the notification drop down won't move and it acts like its trying to load the page. I've tried restarting iPad and logging out of Facebook. This happened immediately after update

I really foreperson the viewing on safari vs. the app. But, I tried shutting down and restarting a couple more times and it finally straightened itself out.

when i try to update my note 4...it says no update available for next 24 hours and the software is up to date.whoch is 4.4.4 need help to upgrade to lollipop as my Gear VR also needs the update to run with note4

I understand you have not been able to update your Note 4 to Lollipop; I would be happy to assist you resolve this issue!
You must be connected to Wi-Fi during the Software Update check and download. I do recommend you turn off the setting for Smart Network Switch before attempting to check for an update.
From your phone, go to: Settings>Wi-Fi and ensure the box is unchecked next to “Smart network switch”.
How to update:
Connect to a Wi-Fi network.
From the home screen, drag down the notification bar, and then tap Settings.
Scroll to and tap About device.
Tap Software update.
Tap Check for updates.
Status message: Software update process will not delete any personal data on your phone. Check the AT&T server for new software update?
Tap OK.
Status message: Checking for update; Processing and the download for the software update will begin in a moment. The software download may take several minutes.
Status message: Downloading...
Status message: Software Update a software update is available for your device that requires Wi-Fi connectivity for download progress to begin. Connect to a Wi-Fi network? For a list of free Wi-Fi networks click here AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots.
Tap Continue.
The device will start downloading the software update.
Status Message: Downloading software update, Please do not leave Wi-Fi coverage area
The device will automatically restart once the new software has successfully downloaded.

My iPod touch 5g doesn't have weather in the notification center. Neither does the weather app determines my location.
The maps also can't find the location.

You do have Location Services turned on in Settings>Privacy, right?
For location the iPod uses the location of nearby wifi routers that are in Apple's database. You do not have to be connected to the network/router to use that router's location. Thus, it appears that the iPod can't see a nearby router that is in Apple's database. Apple continuously updated their database based on info they obtain from iPhones. No one has been able to find a way to inform Apple of a router or correct is location.

Lollipop update and vibe ui

Lenovo team failed to stand on their words which have been published on their own website about Android lollipop update. And in the same, they mention as vibe 2.0 installed on A6000 but its not 2.0 its 1.15. Still Chinese calendar showing them quarter 2 or what? Waste or time and money... Its far better to go for Xiaomi mobiles, really they rocks with their UI.

1. Is the smart cover window visible at all when you close the cover?
2. What touch firmware do you have in your phone?
a. Please go to dialer and dial: *#*#7378423#*#* to open the service menu.
b. Go to: “Service info”
c. Go to: “Firmware info”
d. Take a screenshot of this window or write down all info.
3. Is touch completely dead in the smart cover window or does some touch events still work?
4. Do you have a lockscreen set in phone? If so, what lockscreen?
5. Do you have multiple users setup in phone?
