Long beeping sounds during iPhone 4s calls

Often when I am on calls longer than 5 minutes I hear a long beeping sound, almost like someone is pushing a button.  Does anyone why this is happening and how to fix it I have a 4s?

Is this with all calls when using a headset or just some?
If some perhaps there's a second call trying to get through & it's notifying you there's another call waiting or if it's a Bluetooth headset maybe it's telling that it requires charging.

Anyone know how to resolve dial tone beeps that occur during phone calls? I am using a headset and it's not touching my face.

  • Why do I get a two tone beeping sound when trying to call my wife's Iphone 5c?  Call does not go through.

Has anyone ever gotten a two tone beeping sound when trying to call an Iphone on the Verizon network?  The call never connects, just the beeping sound.

I would try deleting her contact and then re-adding it.

  • How is it possible that so many people complain about the echo sounds during their phone calls, and that there is no reaction or sollution for this problem ???

so many people complain about echo sounds during their phone calls , and Apple has no solution for this PROBLEM.???????
I have an IPHONE 5, but I think if no solution is given by Apple, this one is the last iphone i bougth.

My experience with iOS7 crashing seems to be tied to bluetooth and when I activate the keyboard in relationship to having a text box on the screen.
Apple rarely acknowledges an issue, once they fix it, they just quietly bundle it into an update and it goes away.
Issues can also be very difficult to track down given the number of iPads out there (millions) and I doubt (excepting school or business set up ones) that two iPads are identical. Issues can be hard to track down when the common denominator is hard to determine.

  • Lenovo L420 THINKPAD starts with a constant long beeping sound for atleast 1 min.

From few days my laptop starts with a long beeping sound for atleast more than 1 min, then comes a boot order option. I have no idea whats wrong with it,last time when it happened i had to change my harddisk. Guys anyone with expert ideas please help me,and as fast possible.

Nope. Not using a dock at all. I have to mention tho', that the machine already visited an authorized service. The motherboard was replaced, because it didn't recognise the power brick and refused to charge the laptop.
I'm guessing they didn't put it back together properly. Since I posted I checked the cpu / gpu temps and the cpu temps rise to 80-90 C just when I do a simple operation like delete a larger folder. I tried to turn on bluetooth to copy some stuff from my phone yesterday and for some reason it acted like i pressed fn+f4.  Went to sleep. I pressed fn+f5 just for the record, but after a few times doing this, I found that no matter what fn combo I press it goes to sleep. I have to press the power button again to bring it back. Started playing piano on the rest of the keyboard and same thing. Going to sleep. The lcd went in off mode and disappeared from both the bios and device manager. I was back at square one again seeing my desktop only on the external monitor.
I suspect the tech guys who fixed it didn't put something back right + the fact that the cpu is so hot lets me believe that the thermal paste was not applied right.
I still don't get why all the hardware self test pass. Maybe I should do a stress test? Or should I just send it back to service?

  • Long beep sound in UCS C220 Server

    Hello All,
We have recently upgraded our CM server from MCS to UCS C220. All is working well since 3 weeks. However, since the past three days the UCS server is giving long beep sounds. In the CIMC console its showing as Severe Fault and in Storage Slot 1 and physical Drive 2, the status is "Foreign Configuration" and Health status is "Moderate Fault". However, when we check the status of the light on  the physical drive, its still green and not amber. So is it there a problem with the Harddrive?
    Pls find the screenshot attached.

Hey there. I don't think you'll get a reply on this forum because it looks like this is a fault on the UCS server itself, and not on the Unified Communication application that runs on the UCS server. Please re-post this discussion to the board which discusses UCS servers. You'll get a reply there.

  • Long beeping sound

While talking on the phone with a iPhone 5s user (only happens with this person) I occasionally hear a beeping sound it's not a quick beep it's a long continuing beeping noise that stops it's not a certain time limit either. It happens with and without earphones at one point the sound got so loud that I had to jerk my earphones out of my ear because it hurt so badly. I asked the other person if it was them or could they hear it (thinkiń they were joking with me) but they said no and I trust this person (significant other) i so not know where this sound is coming from but I do need help about it if you have and idea that would be great! Thanks

  • High-pitched beep/sound during sleep and shut down modes

I just wish to check whether is it normal that there's high pitched beep (not very loud but can be heard in a quiet room) which seems to be from the LED or AC Adapter during sleep mode. The beep sounds continuous when the computer has been shut down or in off mode while the main plug of where the ac adapter is connected to is still on. Is this normal? My computer works fine. Battery is charging fine. I just want check whether is this normal. It is has been like that ever since I bought my computer on March 2012.
HP Pavilion dm4-3005tx Entertainment Notebook PC

    Hello Huanwei,
It appears that you can hear a "high pitched beep" coming from the notebook while it's in sleep mode or even off, when the power adapter is plugged in and "on". I will try to help you with this.
Normally, this should not happen. Beeping from a computer may happen during start up a few times to indicate components enabling, but any constant beeping or being while the computer is off shouldn't happen.
Does this occur, if the AC adapter is not connected to the notebook when it is in sleep mode or off? Do you only notices this, in a specific location? (office, etc.)
I would suggest, depending on the setup of things. Taking the notebook with no AC to another location in the house. A quiet one, make sure your not near any other electronics (no watches or cell phones either) let the notebook sleep and see if you hear the beeping. If not, then power it off and test again. If no beeping, this is good and the notebook is fine.
Repeat that same test with the power adapter connected ( again no other electronics around you). Listen while it is "sleeping" and off to see if you can hear the beeping again.
If you do disconnect the AC from the notebook , but leave that connected to the wall and take the notebook out of that location, go back to see if you can hear beeps again. If you do it could be the AC adapter. If you don't then it could be an issue with that only when it's connected.
If there was no beeping when the AC was connected in this "testing location", then I would guess it is something else within the house that is beeping (we have seen that before). In which case you'd have nothing to worry about in regard to your notebook.
Let me know where the above leads.

  • Kernel panic with 1 long beep, need suggestions and helps on iMac 21.5

First of all, my iMac spec is as follows.
    - iMac 21.5 inches Mid 2011 (Intel Core i5 2.5 Ghz)
    - OS X version 10.7.4
    - Memory 4 GB
My situation is that I experienced a first ever kernel panic. It forces me to restart the system. I followed that, and then whenever it boots up a one time long beep sound occurs. After that a flickering screen (white and black) with normal chime sound occurs, and repeat itself for 3-4 times before actually goes into a normal login screen.
Everything is normal, I can use any programs properly. But one thing I notice is that "serial number" is missing in "About this mac" option. I strongly remember that it's there since a time of purchase this iMac. I also take a look at System/Profiles and nothing there as well.
I also take a look at the kernal panic log in /Library/Logs/CrashReporter and /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports but can't find any relevant logs. There's just one file inside both 2 folders, and that log is dated which is not match to my incidence.
I tried remove out ram, and switch the slot between them, but it doesn't help.
Also I've tried reseting PRAM, but it doesn't help as well.
My iMac is within the warranty but outside of technical call.
Any suggestions and help would be very appreciated.

  • UCS c220 giving long beeps, Hardisk replaced, but status still Unconfigured

    Hello All,
We have installed a brand new UCS Server for CUCM 10.5 a couple of weeks back. Recently the UCS Server started giving long beep sounds.
When we check through CIMC we found that the status of the Physical Drive 2 was showing “Foreign Config.” And the health as “Moderate Fault”.
We have two Hardisks in RAID 0 group and one of those is Physical Drive 2 which has the problem. Pls find the attachment  “Physical Drive 1" and "Virtual Drive 1”.
We have raised support request with Cisco and successfully replaced the problematic Hardisk yesterday.
However, the status of the Physical Hardisk  is showing “Un Configured” but the Health status is “Good”.
The Virtual Drive Info tab the status is still “Severe Fault”  and the Hard drive is showing as “Missing”
The long beep sound is still there. Pls find the attachment “Physical Drive 2" and "Virtual Drive 2”. for more information.
Need your help to bring this Hardisk Online from UnConfigured. Do I need to Initialize the Hardisk for inclusion in RAID0?

    Hello Keny,
    Thanks for the reply.
I shutdown the server and configured Raid 1 through CIMC as the boot drive for VMware and installed VMware and mapped the server from Raid 5  The problem is now fixed.
    Thank you,

  • Awful beeping sound on boot

I formated the entire hard drive and installed Ubuntu 14.04 in a Macbook 5.2.
Ubuntu boots decently fast, however there is a disconcerting garbled image on screen:
After that Ubuntu runs fairly well but once I restart the machine a long beeping sound takes place instead of booting, the laptop remains with power but nothing will happen after that.
I have to manually shut down the laptop and restart, Ubuntu will load but the next restart will have the same beeping sound of death.
I already flushed the PRAM with hotkeys and by removed the Battery several times.
Nothing has fixed this problem, and I'm unable to install Mac OS X to troubleshoot it.
Note: This problem appeared right after installing Ubuntu for the first time, I already formated and installed several other Distros and the beep remains.
What can I do to fix this?

Perhaps it is because Apple make the kernel drivers that 'help' users by beeping when the hardware is having issues? It's still unclear to me if the sound is coming from the speakers, connect some headphones to see if that redirects the sound.
Other OS's don't always access every hardware feature so they may not make the same checks as Apple software.
I wonder if the display has a sensor for reading the backlight output. When it is found to be off the OS may ring the alarm?
What point does the beeping begin?
If you can get into verbose mode you may be able to see some error messages. This is easiest if you have a bootable OS X disk. The nvram command can also be used to set the verbose mode in the settings to force verbose mode on every boot - but it can be difficult to do if you have no active OS X installation available.

    https://developer.apple.com/library/mac/documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/ man8/nvram.8.html
It seems odd to me that the boot picker seems to show a fully illuminated screen, perhaps that is driving the inverter differently? Is that always correctly displayed?
Please provide some info on the other equipment you have access to, it could help you jump into some testing instead of discussing hypothetical problems.
NOTE: This is speculation on my part, Apple engineers will have access to troubleshooting manuals - do you have access to an Apple store or service center - is that an option for you? They may be able to say categorically what the sound means if you are lucky.

  • MacBook beeps once during startup, then loads up normally.

I have had this problem for about five days already. My Macbook 5.1 (late 2008) boots up and makes one 3 second long beep sound, then it starts up normally after. It is very annoying, as I use it in uni and other public places, and it makes this sound. I have tried changing my ram to the old one 2 x 1gb, and back to 2 x 2gb, it didn't help. I have searched all websites for this answer, but didn't get any answers to this problem
Please help, as I am doing alot of work on it now, and if there is a problem with it, I really need to know it.
    Anton

Yeah, that time they gave me a replacement MacBook Pro 13 inch, very good service. Now I have trouble with my new retina macbook pro, there are dead pixels on the screen.
