Long computer processing time to create letterboxing

I imported both widescreen and 4:3 clips into an imovie 6 project. The computer took a long time to process the widescreen clip(several minutes). Will I have to endure this for all widesreen clip downloads in the future? If this is the case I think I will stick to 4:3.

Yes.
And you get better quality and more options by converting 4:3<->16:9 with MPEG Streamclip anyway:

  • IMovie long sharing process times?

30 minutes of raw HDV  requires 12 hours to make an MP4 foil. Is this normal?

After several tests I have found that processing time from initial HDV footage to MP4 conversion takes approximately four times tha actual footage duration. This is on an iMac (latte 2009 with about 150 GB free space. Other comments by Apple suggest that times should be about 2x actual film duration. I have now converted 4 files, the lat one 47 minutes in length which took just over four hours of processing. this is with all other programs shut down.

  • LTP run ignoring GR processing time and Lead time

    Hi,
I am trying to find out way to create a planning scenario (MS31) and run LTP (MS01) which will ignore the GR processing times and Lead times from Material master.
I would like to use MCEC report (after running MS70 valuation) which will show the values only in my new fiscal year - for budgeting purposes. Currently because of the long GR processing times and Lead times in material master (sometimes even 60 days) - some planned values show in MCEC report 2 or 3 months before the new fiscal year and the last two periods of new fiscla year are empty.
I would be grateful if you could help me with getting rid of these additional Times and adjusting the periods only for Report purpose. The desired final output should be that S012 table for this specific planning scenario has the values only in periods of the Fiscal year - without hitting previous Fiscal year last periods (due to lead /GR processing times).
    Thank you,
    Karol

    Dear,
Master data is taken from normal MRP views. there is no other setting is available. you can create a different matrerial number for LTP planning.

  • Purchase Requisition Processing Time

I am currently facing an issue with the purchase requisitoin processing time functionality. It does not appear to work for items without a material master. So if I create a purchase requisition with material master line items and non-material master line items only the material master line items will have the delivery date increased by the purchase requisitoin processing time. Is this standard SAP or a bug?

    Dear MM Project.
PR processing time/ GR processing time etc are fields which are mentioned in the material master for each material.
while you process the document with a master record, these details make an impact in those documents. however we may or may not have master records for consumables. the consumables which have a master record will show this impact. these are material types UMBW and NLAG.
for consumables which doesnt have any master record, you can not expect system to impact these values.
hence if you need to have the impact of PR processing time, please create a master record for all those materials and process documents further.

  • Long time for Create miniatures in Adobe Elements 10 Organizer

    Hello
I have installed the PS Elements 10 as trial and have use also Organizer.
I see all pictures in the window and see the folders and photos in the view path.
But the organizer don't run good.
I see in the status underfood the info.
    <Create miniatures>
Is that a normal behavior ?
Can I see how long this process need ?
    Please give feedback.
    Jochen

It will depend on the size of your catalog but can take several minutes.
Make sure you are not moving or deleting photos on the OS e.g. using Explorer or Finder. Make all changes within the Organizer and then you won’t break the photo links to the files on your hard drive.

  • Long processing time but why?

    Hi all .......
in TCode STAD "SAP WorkLoad: Single Statistical Records - Details".
some time or many times I found that, processing time is 10 time of cpu time.
and there no bottleneck in CPU its always free and also Roll wait time.
So can some one tell me where the long waiting time come from?
    Thank you

    Hi,
SAP note 8963 eplains the definition of the processing time. And SAP note 99584 explains why a very large processing time might appear in STAD.
If a long running dialog step performs many DB operations then an overflow in the DB statistic may occur. Reason: a 4-byte counter for microseconds will wrap around after approx. 71 minutes. Then the measured DB time is very small compared to the response time. This is the reason why a very large processing time is shown.
Maybe this explains your situation. It has been solved with SAP_BASIS 700 where larger counters have been implemented.
    I hope this information helps.
    Kind Regards,
    Andreas

  • My computer went into hibernation during the long installation process (after I've keyed in the serial number).

My computer went into hibernation during the long installation process (after I've keyed in the serial number). When I turned it back on, the applications in the suite were all installed on my computer, but when I open them, they tell me that I am running the "extended trial" edition, and need to key the serial number again. When I do, it's no longer valid. I have tried to re-run the disc, but the serial number is stated to be no longer valid. Please help ASAP.

    Hi expert,
I wander why average processing time too long in workload monitoring (ST03N)
    for example
    avg.response time : 4700 (ms)
    avg.processing time : 4200 (ms)
    avg.CPU time : 300 (ms)
    avg.DB time : 200(ms)
OS (CPU and memory ) status is nomal.
please tell me why processing time too long and what do I check more.
    thanks

    Hi
Processing Time is the total time taken i.e. Time when user clicks on submit button to send data to SAP System till the time SAP System processes everything and shows the updated screen back to the user. It includes Network Time also.
Average Processing Time is the Processing Time per Dialog Step
In ST03N workload Monitor, there are different Task Type like Dialog, Background, RFC, Update,..........
Could you be more specific where do you find the Average Processing Time high ? I mean for which Task Type.
If you have users complaining for Performance problem check their Network Time also.
Let us know, if this information was helpful to you.

  • Why is my image processing time additive when I have it spread to seperate timed structures on a quad-core realtime desktop computer?

I am developing a vision application on a quad-core realtime desktop computer and 2 NI-1430 boards.  There are 3 cameras.  Each has its own timed structure loop with its own cpu core.  We generated the image processing vi's with Vision Assistant.  I expected the image processing for each camera to happen in parallel, but the total elapsed time is the same as if the image processing was serial.
Are the Vision Assistant generated vi's not designed for this?  Do I have to set some properties to facilitate multi-core processing? For example, do the shared lower-level vi's have to declared re-entrant?

    Hey arnieb,
It would be interesting to see your code in 'parallel mode' as opposed to 'serial mode.' In 'serial mode' are you processing the image from one camera and then the other? So, do you actually wire error wires (or other form of execution order control) connecting the processing code from one camera to the processing code of another? How does the processing time of your code compare to processing images from a single camera?
    Hope this helps.

  • Dealing with ExtendScript hangs and long processing times?

Just curious if an ExtendScript for some reason hangs (or takes really long time to run), you just have to kill it externally right? Or is there some other Adobe scripting feature I'm not aware of that deals with that scenario?
So I'm guessing the best option to deal with hangs or long processing time is to:
have an external monitoring tool/service to check up on the ExtendScript execution and handle appropriately as needed (kill it, log info)
use the COM API (e.g. VBScript, though other COM compatible languages ok) or Applescript API (called directly or called by other programming languages) instead of ExtendScript for their additional programming and/or multi-threading capabilities

Using whose in Snow Leopard is a lot slower for some reason. SInce you are already using a shell script, you might try using find. Various shell scripts to copy, find, move, etc, can also use wildcard characters.

I have not backed up my computer using Time Machine since before I updated to Mavericks.  It has been "preparing backup" for a half hour at least and shows no indication of how long this may take.  Is something wrong?

No. TM has to look through your entire drive contents and copy them all. This will take some time.
Once the first backup is made, then subsequent backup will be much quicker, depending on how much data has changed since the last one.

  • Why does iMove '08 take so long to process video??

In iMove '06, I could record from my DVR into my machine, edit out what I didn't want, then immediately export the video to iDVD to burn it. The entire editing/burning process took about 1.5 hours. Now due to the fact that iMovie has to process the video for the media browser, the entire editing/burning process took almost 6 hours (for 1.5 hours worth of video). I find this to be very disturbing. My time is valuable & the new program is taking much, much longer to do the same things I used to do in about one fourth the time. I do really like the new editing feature, as it allows me to be much more precise than in iMovie '06. Is there something that I should be doing different?? I had iMovie use the 'medium' mode for the sharing preparation. Should I use the 'low' setting instead?? And, once I have finished my editing, is there a way to directly export the video to iDVD, without having to 'prepare' the video for sharing in the media browser?? Any input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It takes longer because iMovie has to create thumbnails for the media browser. It captures thumbnails every few seconds so that it can divide up the movie in the media browser for easier skimming and clipping. On my computer, it told me it would take 15 minutes to process a 32-minute Keynote presentation video export.

  • Why does iMovie 09 take so long to process imported film

This may not precisely be a question in the vein of "hey help me fix a crisis," but I am still a newbie to the new iMovie. I have used the old versions for years, making various projects. I got very comfortable with it. Now, though, I have to reimport a ton of old analog film (about 250 GB) due a dead hard drive (yes, sad times and another lesson in why you must have 2 copies of back-ups).
Anyway, in the old iMovie, you told the app to import and it did. If you had 30 minutes of film, then it took 30 minutes. Boom--done.
With iMovie 09, I spend the 30 minutes, and then when I tell it to stop importing, it then takes another bit of time (seems to be about 1/3rd or so of the original length) to then process the film. Can anyone tell me why? What is the point and how does it help me?
Then, is there any other way to import film into my computer besides iMovie?

  • ORABPEL-05002 for long running process

    Hi everybody,
My question is related with a long running process I have designed and which, after running for a couple of days, ends by reporting the ORABPEL-05002 error:

Looking in the Manual Recovery screen, I can see an Activity I can recover. It's about an assign Activity where I'm doing a single boolean assignation.
Of course, together with the ORABPEL-05002 error I got also the 'Transaction was rolled back: time out' message. Note that I have modified the transaction-timeout value to 180000. The error occurs during the night, with no heavy load of the server.
Recovering the assign activity brings back the process in the running state.
    My process pattern:
    while (1 == 1) {
    do activity;
    wait_timeout();
So, I have the following questions:
    1. Which is cause of this error?
    2. How may I automatically recover this lost activity? RecoveryAgent?
    Any suggestion is appreciated.
    Regards,
    amo

Poor performance of the dehydration database If you are using Oracle Lite as dehydration store, please switch to use Oracle 9i or 10g. If Oracle 9i/10g is already in use, check the database parameter 'process' and 'session' to make sure it can handle the expected throughput.
OC4J has too few available connections to the dehydration database. Increase the maxConnection number of the BPELServerDataSource at the BPEL_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/data-sources.xml (for developer edition) or IAS_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/data-sources.xml (mid-tier installation).
Size of message is too big Two ways to deal with this problem:
Increase the transaction timeout at PEL_HOME/integration/orabpel/system/appserver/oc4j/j2ee/home/config/server.xml (developer edition) or IAS_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_BPEL/config/server.xml (mid-tier installation)
Decrease the auditLevel from BPELConsole -> Manage BPEL Domain -> Configurations tab. Doing so will reduce the amount of data saved to the dehydration store.
