Long load times and poor application performance

We have packaged and deployed Adobe CC using SCCM within my school division. It pushed out fine, but now when we attempt to open Photoshop (or any other CC app) it has unusually long load times. 2-4 minutes. It seems to be hanging at the "Reading preferences" stage. After the application appears to have started, it takes an unusually long time to actually start working in the application (it appears to just hang).

Hello There,
EXE's always bundle additional files because it is a stand-alone entity. And, if the size 9GB then it will surely take time to load all the files. I'll check with the team again on how we can optimize it. BTW, are the videos inserted as slide video or Event video?
Thanks,
Vish

  • Long loading times and jerky playback

    Hello,
    I work often with Adobe Premiere CS6 but got an annoying problem.
    When I have a project with many clips in the sequence, than I got really long loading times and often the playback is jerky
    Is there a function, which reduces the loading times and/or the jerky playback?
    I already used "Remove Unused" and "Delete Render Files".
    Is it helpful to split the clips to serveral sequences and put all clips together at the end?
    My computer specifications:
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T (2,8 GHz Hexa-Core)
    RAM: 8 GB Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1333 MHz (2 GB reserved for other applications)
    HDD with Adobe Premiere CS6: Crucial RealSSD C300 CTFDDAC064MAG

    HDD with projects: second Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB (HD103SJ)

    Is there a bottleneck at my hardware?
    Thanks a lot!

    Is there a bottleneck at my hardware?
    Yes. The CPU, memory and motherboard. See the Warning here: http://ppbm7.com/index.php/tweakers-page/85-raid-or-not-to-raid

    Check Safari / Preferences - Extensions. If you have any installed, turn that off, relaunch Safari.
    If it's not Extensions, check for third party Safari add ons.

  • Long loading time if no internet connection available (VS 2005 Redist)

    Hallo forum members!
    I've been searching for a solution for my problem for a while - without success. It isn't really a critical issue, but quite annoying anyways.
    Here's the problem i'm dealing with: I've developed an .NET application using Visual Studio 2005 and the included Crystal Report classes. When deploying my module everything works  as expected, offering a decent performance when loading the Crystal Report assemblies provided by the redistributable package - if an internet connection is available. If the system doesn't offer such a connection (e.g. not properly configured proxy settings) the module takes a huge amount of time to be loaded. An examination (using ProcMon) leaded to the conclusion that the Crystal Report assemblies try to retrieve the system connection settings from the registry in order to establish a connection to the internet. This is done only once when loading for the first time.
    Has anyone experienced the same problem? What is this connection used for? Is there a way to suppress this behaviour on systems without a valid internet connection in order to avoid this annoying long loading time?
    Thanks on advance for your help.
    Greetings,
    L.F.

    Nothing like a good vacation. And I got your christmas present early :). While you were away we (actually one other customer) figured it out. I have written a note re. the resolution that was supposed to be published yesterday, but it's still not out there, so here it is as I submitted it:
    Symptom
    When a report is loaded is takes between 150 - 180 seconds to display
    This is only reproducible on computers with no internet connection
    There are no error messages and the report comes up eventually
    Reproducing the Issue
    Create a Windows application with the following function calls:
              new Report()
             report.SetDataSource(dataSet)
    The function SetDataSource takes 2 plus minutes to execute
    Cause
    On SetDataSource() an attempt is made to connect to crl.verisign.com
    SetDataSource() uses the framework and as per the Microsoft Knowledge Base specified under "Resolution", it is actually the framework that is attempting the connection
    Resolution
    Solution is described in this Microsoft Knowlege Base:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/936707
    The following Microsoft article also discusses the issue:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb629393.aspx
    An alternative workaround to the above is as follows:
    Open IE and go to the Tools menu and select Internet Options...
    Go to the Advanced tab
    Find the Security heading
    Under the Security heading find "Check for publisher's certificate revocation"
    Uncheck this option
    Keywords
    long time load crl.verisign.com certificate revoked internet
    The note will be published here:
    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/businessobjects-notes
    and the number will be 1270414

  • Long Load Times on Graphic Intensive Games

    I'm experiencing some absurdly long load times (1-3 hours) with many games (SPORE, Portal, X:3, etc...) that I believe may be related to how graphically intensive they are. Older games with lower graphics quality (WoW, Civ 4, etc...) load up fine.
    When I load any newer game the icon appears in the tray and the computer does nothing else for at least an hour, whereupon the program loads and begins playing immediately--often without any further delays or issues.
    I also use Boot Camp to run Windows Vista (Ultimate 32) and experience no delays when running SPORE on Windows.

  • How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dream

    How do i insert a splash screen or a loading screen and a application image for a phone app on Dreamweaver 6, 5.5 had the mobile application setting that is seemingly no longer present? and i also heard you can use animanted backgrounds on the mobile application in dreamweaver 6 but figuring out how to set the splash screen and application image like it was in 5.5 would be nice. All i can get to pull up is the web application i developed i am trying to build into a phone app on google chrome, if i could officially designate it as a phone app where i can set each splash screen and app image to where it is recognized as a phone app that would be really nice.

    Duely noted, the server will still not connect, so i have left an inquery in the suggested forum.

One suggestion that I've heard is that there has been unexpectedly high demand on the server since the launch of Edge Tools and Services as part of the Creative Cloud last month. As far as I know, the only thing you can do is wait, and try again later. You could also try posting in the PhoneGap Build forum: http://community.phonegap.com/nitobi/products/nitobi_phonegap_build.

  • Long loading times for Safari on iPad Air with iOS8

    I've had long loading times in Safari sInce upgrading to iOS8 on my iPad Air 128 GB. Are any of you having the same experience?

    Sometimes I question myself, how come that iOS being held in beta for over quarter or even over a half a year, and most certainly long enough in alpha, still comes out so much raw and buggy every release? Sometimes it feels like it's only getting worse concerning the debugging.
    I wanted to address the HR manager of the Apple Inc. to query him/her about HIS/HER dedication to the overall work being done. Why, the ****, does Safari get slow, why, the ****, is it unpredictable to define whether a sound stream in Safari's tab will end upon tab closure or not. Morever, why do iPhone iMessages fail to mark a message or a chain as a read one even thought you just really did it. Beyond that miriad of similar questions I have just another three, since when is it official Apple support position to advise you to wipe out your device and install everything back from iTunes, not the cloud? But what is more important, how come that support representative tells you first to back up your buggy iPad, wipe it out and restore from that backup both with iTunes? Finally, we all know how Apple does cherish it's developers, can somebody tell me how, for heavens sake, this website ever possible to exist then — Texts From Xcode?
    I don't want neither need to mention that switching between tabs in iOS7 (I have had no chance to test it in iOS8) in Safari never gave you any sure answer whether your tab will be reloaded when you get back or not: whether have you copy any post before leaving, to paste back on return or not.
    After all I do still love Apple, I do love people's ideas. I do love the overall outcome, but I want to tell Mr. Cook one phrase I heard when I used to be a head of a department in a medium size company and had to deal with continuous fails of the personnel and most often ended up doing much things myself, it was not the exact situation as with Apple although I hope you can trace a path: If a manager has to do anything besides managing he or she failed to manage one major issue — the personnel one.

  • Loading time and hour

    Hello friends,
    I am having the same problem as some people had here: when trying to install my apple tv it gets stuck on the first screen (loading time and date). Apparently it is something related to my router. The question is, how to set up my router so I can use it with my apple tv?
    Supposing that is possible, of course.
    Mine is a Cisco DPC3925 but I thought there might be a way of doing it with all the routers...
    I could not find one single tutorial or someone who would explain how to do it.
    Anyone has any ideas or links that could help me?
    I would appreciate any help.
    Thank you guys!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
    Assuming this is not the first time you have used your Apple TV
    You might try restarting the Apple TV by removing ALL the cables for 30 seconds.
    Also try restarting the router. (Also try removing it’s power cord for at least 30 seconds)
    If the problem persists, try a restore, you may want to try the previous procedures several times before doing this.
    If restoring from the Apple TV doesn't help, try restoring from iTunes using a USB cable.
    If this is a new Apple TV, in addition to trying the above, it may also be that your network router is not allowing access to the timeserver, check that your router allows access over port 123.

  • Long load times

    I am trying to edit a page and I only have a css page which is local linked to the page. It only affects me when trying to work in split or design view. I hav tried disabling the linked files thing and I have tried this http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/887/cpsid_88742.html also, but I am still getting this long time. It seems to only affect the load time when I have the following in my head tag;
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="css/main.css"/>
    It also slows the performance drastically, If I type the letter "D" then deleete that letter it will freeze up for a for a short period of time. I can not have this when trying to create websites for clients. Any help would be appreciated.

  • Long load times.  software? hardware? downloads?

    in the past few hours i have developed the problem of longer thn normal load times. they went from .25 sec up to 5 or 6sec idk what to do my software ugrades are from earliest to latest, stuffit, wmp for mac osx, istat pro, core duo temp and i have 512 mb of ram any suggestions? oh i have been running itunes and safari

    Typical with all computers usually. It's where programs get loaded into RAM and not fully cleared out. Once you reboot the memory gets reset and it's a clean slate. If it's killing performance that much, then why not upgrade the RAM?

  • Yahoo! Mail no longer loads emails and the ads are missing after having cleared Firefox's cookies, history, and cache.

    Ironically, I made this support account just to ask this question and had to go to IE to verify.
    Anyway, Yahoo! Mail use to work almost flawlessly before a couple days ago. Basically, the page loads like normal when I have a good connection except that the ads on the sides are missing, my profile picture is gone, the "fancy" rounded edges of the buttons are nonexistent, none of the menus work or open anything, and all of the links are useless. I have been searching for solutions for two hours now and none of them are relevant or useful:
    - Clear cookies = when I cleared cookies, cache and history is when the problem first started;
    - Disable Ghostery = I just learned about it today and so never installed it, but I also checked to make sure it wasn't there somehow;
    - Start in Safe Mode = the problem is still there and the only change was that it loaded the page faster;
    - Disable AVG = I can't because I can't find it anywhere...;
    - Disable Security/Change Permissions? = I think this was a suggested solution, but it already allows Yahoo! Mail to load images and set cookies while blocking pop-ups, location sharing, and installing themes/extensions;
    - Update Firefox = No. I like my old version. I keep hearing weird and annoying things about updated versions of Firefox, and I'm not going to risk losing everything else just to get Yahoo! Mail back
    I started using Firefox (3.6.12) because IE was slow, but ever since I tried clearing the cache, cookies and history Firefox has been going slower. Oddly enough, all of my browsing history was not deleted because certain web pages (that I haven't accessed in ages) show up in the address bar when I go to type. Gmail works in Firefox despite saying my browser isn't supported, but Yahoo! never bothers me about my browsers and now its acting strange.
    By the way, I don't know if this has anything to do with it, but right before Yahoo! Mail took the usability train off a cliff, it reloaded (because clearing the cookies logged me out), then told me the internet connection was slow and that I can switch to Basic for better results. I decided to stick with Classic and then it "crashed".
    Anyone help with this would be appreciated. One of the reasons I switched to FF is because Yahoo! Mail was faster on it, and I'd hate to have to go back to IE...
    Thanks in advance!

    As it turns out, many others have been having similar issues on other browsers. It seems that maybe Yahoo! is taking a much longer time to load or something like that. Either way, its been working on and off all week, and the same issue even showed up yesterday with IE 8 instead of FF. It still loads faster than IE 8, but again is spotty. Some people think the issue may be with mail.yimg.com or s.yimg.com, which I could see was the loading url in the left corner whenever Yahoo! Mail was refusing to work. A couple of people said blocking it caused the issue. Alternatively, some people suggested blocking it to solve the problem. Does anyone have any information on that? Again, I have no add-ons that would be blocking any urls, and my firewall hasn't any records of it. I really don't want to do anything to mess up my browsers more than they may have already been. Thanks for all of your help so far!

  • Longer loading time when the version is changed.

    Hi all,
    When i load the VI in LabVIEW 8.2 which is originally developed in 7.1 or 8, it takes longer time to load compared to a VI that is developed in 8.2 itself. Even after i save that VI in 8.2, i am able to find the diffterence in loading time.
    For e.g, if we place a VI that is originally developed in 7.1 and saved in 8.2. if you have that VI as a subVI in another VI, and click that subVI icon to open its front panel, it take around 5 seconds to open it is FP. Where as the VI developed in 8.2 opens less than a second. It happens always. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,
    logic

    Jeff,
    Thank you very much for the reply. But i feel something more than that is causing this problem. Even the VIs that has no subVIs inside is seems to be hang moment. I feel there is always a difference between carried over VIs from earlier version of LabVIEW and the new VI developed in the latest Version. Saving a VI or saving all the VIs makes a VI identical to a new VI developed in the same version in all respects? I doubt it. Only NI can answer that.
    I have attached a sample VI, Place this in a block diagram of a new VI of the LabVIEW 8.2. Do the following Action repeat manner.
    1. Double click the icon (To open the Sub VI's Front panel)
    2. Ctrl + E (Open the Block diagram of the Sub VI)
    3. Ctrl + W (Close the Block diagram of the Sub VI)
    4. Ctrl + W (Close the FP of the Sub VI)
    5. Move the position of a Sub VI in the Block diagram, do 1 to 4.
    When i repeat this again and again, i can feel the momentary hang at least once in five steps. Let me know whether you can feel this issue.
    Thanks,
    logic

  • Extremely long load times for Cisco's WEBEX.

    Thanks

    My company attends numerous meetings with our customers/suppliers and WEBEX is giving me headaches. 5-15 minute load times. Conference room PC is running win7 and I've tried both google chrome's webex app and just running webex from IE to no avail. These connections do go through eventually but I'm constantly hounded about why they are taking so long and I don't know why. Have any of you experienced this or have any clue as to a possible root cause?

  • Load Time and MP3

    Hi,
    I am revamping a program that was originally done in Captivate 3.  All of the sound files were recorded using another program and imported.  They were originally in WAV format.  The file size is huge on this thing and the load time is (to me) excessive.  I eliminated a couple of the videos and coverted about 50% of the WAV files to MP3 and reloaded them.  I also made sure I cleared the unused items from the library.  Unfortunately the CP file size has remained the same and the load time is still long.  Can any of you give me some thoughts on how to cut this thing down?
    Many thanks in advance for your help!
    Gary

    Hello,
    How did you check the CP-filesize? Can you please save the file, close Captivate, and then reopen it with the file? Have a look at the filesize then? The decrease of file size is not immediately visible, but do know that clearing up the library, and certainly deleting video/audio does decrease the filesize really. WAV-files will be converted to MP3 anyway when publishing to SWF,  unused items in the library do not have any influence on the SWF-size either. Perhaps you are not talking about the CP-filesize but about the SWF-size (because you are referring to load times). To decrease the filesize for the SWF you'll have to look to other means: decrease the resolution (if acceptable, by downscaling), decrease the JPEG-quality, decrease the audio quality. To make the loading time smaller you can also change the percentage to load before starting to play the SWF (default=100%, see Preferences, Project, Start and End).

  • JSP long load time

    I have a jsp page that takes between a few seconds and a minute to load, depending on the data involved (1-40K records) As the users may become impatient, I would like to put up some sort of "Please Wait" sign while the page is loading so that they know the application has not crashed. What's the best way to do this?

    it really depends on the type of request that is passed...a one clicker that does a lot in the back-end? or a complex form that needs a lot of time to process in the back-end?
    for a one-clicker:
    there are probably a lot of fancy ways you can do it with javascript and frames but my personal method is to have a jsp i called something like redirect.loading.jsp...i send the true destination page as a parameter....i make a nice page complete with an animated gif that informs the user the process is being processed and to be patient.
    in the header section of the html i add the following line:
    <META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0;URL=<%=redirectUrl%>">
    where redirectUrl is my length load time page.
    for a complex form:
    when faced with a lot of different information needing to be processed i usually have the backend spawn a separate thread and return back to the user with a message that their process is underway....you can use a static state variable to show progress. this is more complex and thus if you can get away with the above method it'll be a lot easier.
    hope that helps and maybe some others will post some good ideas.
