Long Passwords not kept in Wifi profile and no ability to paste

Our wifi network at work has a 64 character password of diverse characters/letters/numbers but the playbook won't keep it in the saved profile and to make it harder to enter you cannot "paste" it into the password field. What is up with that?

Rename (or delete) secmod.db (secmod.db.old) in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] in case there is a problem with the file.

Settings > wi-fi then tap on the little blue arrow next to the network you want to change. You have to tap on the blue arrow and not on the name.
Now at the top tap on "forget this network".
After that, the iPhone will think your home network is a new network and will ask you for the password to connect.

Windows 8.1 Wifi profile and Hiden SSID

I have two Internet profiles. One is hidden and the other is not. When I login to windows 8 it always connects to the unhidden SSID. How do I see the Hidden SSID so I can connect to it?
I know the profile is there and set up correctly. But just can't see the profile in the list of connectable wifi networks.

Contact your bank and make sure they havnt denied iTunes access to authorise the card. You could also contact AppleCare for assistance. Its going to be an issue with your bank or iTunes.

POP password not kept

I'm using Mail to get my Yahoo! mail via POP. I use this for several accounts and it works fine. With Yahoo! however, every so often I will get a window saying "
The POP server “pop.mail.yahoo.com” rejected the password for user “[my-user-name-here]”
Please re-enter your password, or cancel.
This happens even though I check the box telling it to "save this password in my keychain."
This will happen repeatedly (say, every 5 minutes for an hour) and then not happen for a day or two.
Anyone know a way to fix this?

same problem here. drives me friggin crazy.
especially the last day or two. it asks me to re-enter my password every time Mail.app
retrieves mail, which is set for EVERY 5 MINUTES!!! AHHHHH
i've found that if i just close that window, then manually click "Get Mail" it doesn't ask
for the password, it just works.

PS CC Converting to profile and embedding a profile

I just started using PS CC 2014. I have a number of variables that have changed, such as a new iMac, secondary monitor etc. I am working in aRGB when processing and I go to print via the Canon plug-in for Photoshop. I convert to profile using the ICC profile I want to use for the media and ink set that I am using. I had custom profiles made for these papers. When I save the file after printing it, it embeds the ICC profile, example Epson Premium Luster etc. instead of keeping it in the aRGB working space. I do not recall ever seeing this done automatically in prior versions and years that I have used PS. I would like to save the changes etc. but I do not want the paper profile embedded because I may want to use another paper with that file next time. When I open the file the next time and I want to print it I get the message that there is a mis-match between working profile and embedded profile, or something similar to that ( I do not have the message in front of me ). That means I have to convert the file to the working space at that point and it is an extra step that I did not have to do before.
Is there a box I need to check or uncheck somewhere to keep the file in the aRGB space or am I just loosing my mind here?

I'm not a Color Management expert, but converting and then saving from Adobe RGB to a Printer Profile tags and saves that file with that profile.
Your file space, Adobe RGB, no longer matches Photoshop's Adobe RGB working space and that's why you get the warning.
If you are printing from Photoshop, you do not convert to that profile and save, otherwise it is embedded.
That would only make sense if the printer was somewhere else, and you would then make a copy of that file with that specific printer profile embedded.
What you do is use the Print dialog and check "let Photoshop manage colors" and you pick your profile from the list.
Your file stays tagged as Adobe RGB.
You can turn off mismatch warnings in CC 2014 But be sure you are not "hiding a problem".

Q10 WIFI profile problems

Third time this week my BBQ10 has asked me to re enter my WIFI code for my home BT WIFI. Its loses the settings from my Saved WIFI profiles and I have to start again. Its getting a little tiring now. Not just restricted to work either, same happens with work settings at clients premises with their WIFI too. Any simple solutions please?

Friends remember to save the wireless networks in your blackberry Q10, as also that of your job, then this verifies that the options of wi-fi networks are stored so that when you connect you can just turn wi-fi option .
And automatically connects to the nearest network.

Iphone 4s was unable to detect any wifi networks and was told to pay £159 to get the entire phone replaced, should i do it?

My iphone 4s does not detect any wifi networks but the apple genius said that the wifi signal seems to be fine but it just is not detecting any wifi networks and because I cannot find my receipt for the phone and the apple store only dates back purchases up to 18months ago, is there a way i can obtain my receipt?

I'm having the same issues. Started when I upgraded iphone 4S and ipad1 to 5.1.1. Wife's iphone 4g on 4.4.2 has been ok. I've forgot the network on both devices and restored the iphone, none of which changed the issue. I've upgraded to ios 6 on the iphone 4s, problem still persists.
One thing that will help for a time: go to your router and change the wireless control channel. When I first did this I got full connectivity for about 48 hours... and now the problem is back. I'm now changing the wireless control channel every 12 hours, which is a pain but at least keeps me connected. I've tried a few other solutions that are out there and that has been the best one so far.
to do this on a motorola router: type 192.168.0.1 in your address bar.
username: admin and password:motorola if you have not changed the factory defaults.
Click on the word "wireless" and look for the "control channel" field. This may be set to auto or to 1, try changing it to 6 or 11 (preferred) or any other channel.
The control channel can cause static in the wireless system IF there are several networks nearby that are on the default setup.
There is a fair bit of buzz about this issue out there, some other things I've seen:
This is a hardware issue. Go to the store and have your wifi antenna checked, some users reporting that they get free replacement devices.
Check against other wifi networks that require a password (this is next for me). Logon to those networks and surf until your wifi stops. If your wifi connects to the internet but stops responding, then this is a software (or hardware) issue and apple needs to step up. Some are claiming this to be the case.
IF you connect and stay connected/on the internet on another password protected wifi, then the issue is with your router. this is where things get cute.
Comcast may tell you to update your firmware. Motorola may tell you that your cable provider is the only one who can push through firmware updates. Comcast may tell you that you are not in an area that is being updated. It's unclear if they say that to all customers, or just those who have purchased cable modems and aren't renting them from comcast.

Connect iPhone to computer and open iTunes. You will be prompted to update to iOS 7.0. Keep your phone connected until the update is finished.

iTunes and the iTunes Store won't have anything to do with your photos. Those would be stored only on your laptop unless you made a backup of some sort. If you didn't, and the hard drive in your laptop has failed, then your photos are gone unless you wish to pay a disk recovery service a lot of money to try and get them back.
As to your music, if you purchased it from the iTunes Store you can probably re-download it. Go to the iTunes Store, log into your account, and click the Purchases link under the Quick Links. From there you should be able to re-download some or all of your purchased content. Note that not all content has been licensed for re-downloading in all countries at this time. I believe the updates have caused the issue, because it was working fine before the second update released (I hadn't put the first one one until I noticed it had stopped working, and by then the second IOS8 version had came out). They need to do a third update to fix this issue.

If it's grayed out:
Reset Network Settings - if that doesn't fix it, then Backup and Restore AS A NEW DEVICE.
If it's still grayed out, unfortunately that means your Wi-Fi antenna quit, and it needs service.
