Long text problem while uploading Inspection plan through BDC.

Hi,
I am facing some problem while uploading the inspection plan. There are few MICs for which we are having long text, while uploading the inspection plan through BDC - some other long text is getting copied into the MIC's long text. After checking I came to know that in function module, read_text - some text which is stored in ABAP memory is getting copied into the inspection plan.
I am working in SAP release 4.7. I have checked with SAP notes: 97419, but it is also not satisfying.

Thanks a lot for your kind reply.
My requirement is I want to maintain long text for few MICs (which are not having long texts at MIC level) in inspection plan (QP01).
When I am trying to manually assign the MIC's to inspection plan (QP01), long text is copied whereas I am not clicking the long text icon in (QP01). Long text is not maintained in MIC level, still some long text is copied to this MIC. This was also happening while uploading the inspection plan thro' BDC.
I believe what you have mentioned about function module SAVE_TEXT cannot be used here since long text is already copied before we pass the long text. Also if we pass some long text, still apart from the long text what we have passed there is some other long text copied (extra long text).

I am creating inspection plans using BDC. The MIChas 2 versions. When i am using version 1, the inspection plan is created. Whereas when i am using MIC version 2 i am getting error "error occured while checking type group".Kindly let me know how do i resolve this.

Thanks for the reply. when i am trying to create a inspection plan in other plant, we have 4-5 sampling procesures to select from. But for this perticular plant where we are having problem, its showing only one. How do i get more options?How do i extend a sampling procedure to a new plant.

Default values for long text for mic in inspection plan

hi,
Some long text are coming default when i am creating inpection plan for mic.
This is coming for only particular plant. For other plant it is not coming. Is there anywhere we can make it as default for a particualar line item . ie for particular characteristics i.e 10, 20 etc

I am not sure , whether you are mentioning about Long text for MIC or Default insp char number (10,20,30..) in the insp plan.
If you are talking about Insp char number in the insp plan . you can specify the same in SPRO , QM->Q planning ->Insp planning -> General -> Maintain profiles for default values.

Problem while uploading master data through two files

Hi all,
When i try to upload master data of CUSTOMER with two files , Attribute and Text.
Text gets uploaded perfectly.
for Attribute, the data upload is done and psa i can see the exact data. But when i check the CUSTOMER object, i am not able to find the actually Attributs data. Instead those colmns are filed with 'E'.
Can anybdy please explain me wheret the problem is.

Hi Sun,
First check the data in PSA whether the records are fine or any discrepancy in them. Also check the properties of the COSTUMER object into which you are loading. The properties "type" or the "size" of the object may not be matching with the same in the file.
Check them and try to load once again.

I am doing Bdc call Transaction for Material Master Uploading.
But After Entering data for 4-5 screen i got a error_
Field Mara-iprkz doesn,t exit in the screen saplmgmm 4000
Field Mara-prctr doesn,t exit in the screen saplmgmm 4000
Field Mbew-stprs doesn,t exit in the screen saplmgmm 4000
Field Marc-mtvfe doesn,t exit in the screen saplmgmm 4000
Enter Valuation class.

Sorry for my obvious answer, but you should ask a more precise question.
Your errors are that you try to enter fields but they don't exist, so it sounds logic.
And the error "Enter Valuation class." means that the field is mandatory. So you must enter it.
Re-record the transaction using SHDB (eventually play with the http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ABAP/Recordduringplay), run it in A display mode, and correct your program.

Error in LSMW in Uploading Inspection Plan in QP01

Hi All,
I am facing problem when executing LSMW, I am Uploading Inspection Plan in QP01 transaction using Direct Input methos. The problem is on 13th step :Error that I get is 'No profile with entry tool for task list / / / in session INSPECTION_OBJ', here INSPECTION_OBJ is the name of the session. I have given the constant value of field profile (BIPKO-PROFIDNETZ) in mapping step and also activated check box 'entry tool' under profile to remove this error. But in that case i can pass only the header data while processing the session and control does not get into Operation and characteristic screen.
Can anyone pls help me..

You might need to redo the recording all over again, BDC has plentty of scenario for screen selection to go wrong, so can't really tell what cause your problem based on your desc. I have been stop using BDC to uplaod material since 5 years ago, I always use Direct input in LSMW and it works much better. I recomend you try the Direct input method instead of BDC if still getting problem.

Problem while uploading data with GUI UPLOAD Function

I am facing problem while uploading data with FM GUI UPLOAD in out text file there are 7 row but after the FM GUI UPLOAD there are 14 entries are coming in Internal table and each alternate row is coming as blank with 0000 in some column in internal table first row is proper and second line is blank so on.
what can be the problem .
The program in which we are using this we are using it from last 2 year but we are facing problem today only.

Hi,
The file formate is same as it is from last two years it is automatically generated by one another bar code server and there is no change in the file formate.
So waht can be the problem to check any inconsistancy in system i have develop a samll program fro uploading a text file with same function module , but it is working fine.

This is due to the configuration error,
Just use T.Code OP50
Create an entry for task list type "Q" with material type "ZROH" and save,
Then try creating a Quality Inspection Plan, it will work

Problem while uploading bank details in Vendor Master - XK01

Hello Experts,
I am encountering a problem while uploading Vebndor Master Details in Quality server . The bank details for a given bank (Eg : BankABC and Bank Key IN) throws an error saying BANK IN BANKABC DOES NOT EXIST . But , with the same details i am able to upload in Sandbox and Development Servers. Pls suggest on the same.

Bank is supposed to be created during the upload. The bank details which already exists in the sytem are not throwing the error. Please give suggestions for this scenario.

still shows error as invalid text object (check table TTXOB) how to rectify that?

Facing Problem while executing a command through WLST

Iam using Weblogic 11g(10.3.2).Whenever I execute the below command in WLST on windows it is working fine.

Problem while uploading text file through portal into WebDAV repository .

Hi all...
I am not able to upload any file through portal onto my webDav repository for remote server however reverse is possible i.e. any document created at remote server is reflected in portal.
Everytime when i try to upload file though portal , i get the following error::
The item could not be created because an exception occurred in the framework.
Kindly suggest what to do....

Hi Chetna,
Have you specified any user information in the webdav repository....Like always connect through this user, in the webdav repsository tab....This user may not have write permission in the windows.
Also are you sure that the user you logged in portal by which you failed to create new files or folders and the user that was able to create file in the windows are one and the same.....

Develop BDC program, Before Recording the Transaction sit with Functional Consulatnt for REcord The f-43.
After that that u can do ur coding and built ur own logic.
