Long time Linux user wondering about 3rd (paste) button option

Having used Linux for a long time, I've really got used to having that 3rd (middle) paste button...highlight some words, then use the 3rd button on the mouse to paste. Is there some way to tweak that in OSX? I'm using the Might Mouse and it isn't an option in the software. Any thoughts would be great.
Thanks,
Tom

You might try different mouse software:

As a long-time Elements user who had planned to purchase Photoshop CS4, CS5 or CS6 right before the Cloud changed everything, why can't I get the cloud subscription for $9.99? This makes me want to just buy an older disk on EBay or elsewhere.

why can't I get the cloud subscription for $9.99?
Are you trying to subscribe to the Photoshop Photography Program (PS+LR)?
That deal is available to anyone, regardless of whether you've purchased Adobe software in the past or not.

I am a long time iTunes user but a new MacBook owner! I keep the majority of my music files on an external hard drive.   I'm trying to view all those files on my MacBook through iTunes.   With windows you would go to : File/Add To Library, and iTunes would add all your selected files to your music library BUT WOULD NOT COPY THEM TO YOUR HARD DRIVE.  In other words, if the external hard drive was connected, you could listen, drag/drop, and edit the files.   When I tried the same thing with my new MacBook... it actually started coping the files to my MacBook harddrive.  I don't want that, it's millions and millions of mp3's that I don't want to keep on my computer, only my external hard drive.   Can anyone help?    I'm sure it's something easy, I'm just so new to the Mac world.   Being an iPhone owner for many many years I'm picking up things fast, but this is getting the best of me!  Help !

In iTunes 11 uncheck the preferences setting in in the iTunes Preferences panel "Advanced > Copy Files to iTunes Media folder when adding to Library"

  • Long-time Eudora user, rookie Mail user--have questions, need help!

    Hi, all!
As the subject heading says, I've been using Eudora for a very long time (way past its shelf life) and have been playing around with Mail off and on over the past year.  (Now, in Eudora's defense, the expiration date on it was a "Best by..." not a "Use by..." date   and it's been working fantastically for years! )
I recently started to plunge into Mail more deeply and have a couple of questions.
    1. Drafting vs. queuing.
I am used to Eudora's system where a bunch of drafted messages sit in an Outbox.  They stay there until I flag QUEUE for the ones I'll eventually be mailing.
It's a good system.  A quick look at the flags in the Outobx lets me know which I still to need to work on, and which ones are ready to go out (or need a final review before sending).   The user then selects "Send Messages" and it e-mails the ones queued in the Outbox, but not the remaining draft emails that haven't yet been queued.
How do I set up something like that in Mail?
Right now, all I have is a list of draft messages and I cannot tell which ones are still really drafts and which are ready to be sent!
    2.  Work-around to try and mirror Eudora's system.
I tried creating a new mailbox called Queue, in which I can park the emails I've done editing.  Of course, the problem with such a scheme is that when I want to send messages, I either have to put them back into the Drafts mailbox, from where I can select and send everything (including ones I haven't finished editing!), or drag them into Mail's Outbox where they go out instantly.  That's a little freaky and I can see disasters happening (emails going out when I'm wanting to drag other messages to a different mailbox).
    3.  Disable auto-sending?
Is there a way of turning off and on the Outbox's automatic sending action?  That could be the simplest solution for me.  I'd really like to send messages only via a menu command--yet, from I've determined, Mail's Send menu command will send any messages selected in the Draft mailbox.  Again, I see screw-ups with that as the wrong draft could be selected and Mail would send it out.
    4.  Display of badges for mailboxes.
This is more of a curiosity, but is there a way of having a user-created mailbox show how many e-mails are in there?
    Solutions?
What do you all do as to work flow?  How do you go about creating and revising a bunch of e-mails, but only sending out certain ones?  And ensuring that only the ones you want to go out, go out?!

Thank you for posting all this info.  Unfortunately i have no idea how to do flags and how to use a smart mailbox as a place to store emails i am not ready to send.  Eudora is vastly superior in all the things it empowers the user to quickly and easily do, in the traditional Apple spirit of intuitiveness, clear direct normal (not esoteric) communicatioin and user friendliness.
about three weeks ago i was pretty much forced into Mountain Lion bcause my old MacBook is barely functioning at all and i got a new MacBook Pro.  So, good bye Eudora that i've used since 1995, only because i couldn't find another mail program that did what it does.  I wonder why there aren't others.  I've tried MailForge, it's a great attempt but it seems to have run out of steam and isn't working well enough.
I am using Mail and Gmail. The result is i'm suffering a whole range of loss of functionality in email, and am not getting a lot of messages, they are here somewhere but i can't always find them, i have to go to my old computer, enduring a kind of freeze where a beachball is a sign of progress, a trackpad that barely works for drag and drop anymore and a battery that needs reaplacing. i think the hard drive is failing. but i still need it to retrieve my email reliably, to a poiint where i see i 'm going to have to put money into it so it can keep working, for email.  what a poor solution. I am trying as best i can to have Mail communicate better.
i just wanted to thank you for your encouraging posts and giving me something to follow up on to try to use, to address this one of many loss of Eudora problems. Why wouldn't a mail program give you the option to queue mail?   Why take away options and functionality?   sorry, i'm just ranting because i've had a very frustrating last few weeks related to numerous new OS challenges, but email is the only really serious one.
I really like your idea of badges to show number of new messages, i think that's what you meant, you didn't say 'new', but another great and helpful thing about Eudroa is sorting mail into mail boxes and opening those mailboxes that get new mail each time you download mail, so you kow what's new. You can immediately see it.  In Apple Mail, i find i have to dig through each of the 12 'on my mac' mailboxes/folders i created so far, to see if there is new mail in them. A lot of extra trouble for something that a superior email program can do for you.

  • A long-time Arch user is looking for an alternative

    Hello Arch users,
I know that this forum is probably not the best place to ask a question like that but I'll try anyways:
I have been using Archlinux for more than 5 years and I really like the simplicity and the Arch philosophy. However, as I cannot afford to devote a lot of time to maintaining my work station (which Archlinux naturally requires if one relies on a bunch of AUR packages) I have swapped to OS X around a year ago. Please no OS X bashing here, both systems have their advantages and disadvantages which shall be discussed at another place.
I noticed that for certain tasks a proper Linux is still very handy. Up to now I was just using my former Archlinux notebook every now and then. This means that it occurs that I will not use my Linux box for a couple of months, possibly even a year. With that I get into trouble keeping my system up to date with the rolling release philosophy (due to the huge gaps between two consecutive updates).
So what I basically want is the Arch-experience without the rolling release feature. It appeared to me that there might possibly be some long-term archive available, where all packages are just available for a long time. If not, can you suggest any other distributions that require little maintenance and are as close to Arch as possible? I really do not want to miss pacman, however, if there is no other way I'd need to install some long-term support Ubuntu...
    Thanks a lot

Thanks for every single reply. It seems I am slowly approaching my best-fit distro
    @andjeng:
ARM sounds interesting, but two potential problems come to my mind: 1) as described in the wiki, the original ARM has already been closed, if that happens again I won't have a repository and a lot of maintenance work is to be issued. 2) If I will just set my mirrorlist to a fixed date I will not be able to get any security updates (also, see my reply to vostok4).
    @vostok4:
The problem is that packages in AUR usually require the latest versions of some libraries, so just not applying updates is not possible (that was my first go when I replaced my Arch notebook with a Mac, now it is still being unused as Arch does not work anymore and I don't want to bother fixing the outdated system).
    @ANOKNUSA:
The tasks I need linux for can be anything, such as being able to read/write/format/re-partition any of my old harddrives or using/compiling software that is available for linux only (or is more stable on linux).
What I mean by "Arch-experience" is that I can use a simple and powerful package manager like pacman and I can find nearly every thinkable package in AUR (if not, I can create it on my own without a lot of trouble due to the makepkg system). Furthermore, I enjoy(ed) the simplicity (a single configuration file rc.conf where I could configure most of the general system settings, at least before the move to systemd has been carried out, which I dislike as I never had the patience to learn systemd and get the hang of it). When Arch was my only system I also liked that the installation has created a naked linux on my drive that I needed to put clothes on. I guess with converting to a casual linux user I now prefer something that is already ready to use (but I still want to be able to change the clothes).
I will have a look at CRUX and Darwin as you have suggested.
I agree that a well-organised filesystem is very important. However, even if one applies the theory meticulously (which I usually don't as I have other priorities when working), the possibility of opening a file without having to click through the folders in a file explorer (or typing the filepath in the terminal) has eased my workflow. I will read your link after I have posted this, though.
    @drcouzelis:
I have had a look at the Arch-based distros but I think none of them are really what I want (which is a LTS version of Archlinux ). I think I might try out a LTS Mint as soon as I have assembled my new computer.
    @teateawhy:
I have not used Debian yet, but as far as I understand the release cycles are quite short and there is no LTS of particular releases. In your opinion, why is Debian closer to Arch than the other suggestions?

  • Long time windows user... opens up mbp for the first time?

    Okay,
Im a long time advanced windows user.
But i know absolutely nothign about mbps or osx
I want to know anything i might not figure oput on my own
Im not talking about how programs work and stuff, im talking more abou the imporatant things, that might screw me up later if i dont know them
    Some examples;
I read something about how i should reinstall tiger when i get my mac. is that true?
what is firmware, and how do i update it?
I read someth9ing about leaving my mac on at night so it can do system tasks, more info on this..?
and,, i read that i shyould be completely draining the battery at least once a week or something...?
    the stuff like that,
remember, ive never used a mac before
    kthanks:)
UPDATE: this is unrelated but still, when i use boot camp, does wireless work? And howabout isight?
And; are most of the issues with vista drivers and such worked out with boot camp?
    Thanks:)

I read something about how i should reinstall tiger when i get my mac. is that true?
Some people advocate that, but I've never found it to be necessary. Such advice presumes that something can go amiss with the factory software load. So you can if you wish, but I feel it's unnecessary effort.
what is firmware, and how do i update it?
Firmware is the built-in programs that tell the basic hardware how to operate; how to find the hard drive and start from it, etc. BIOS is the equivalent in the Windows world. If firmware updates are released, they'll appear in the Mac OS X Software Update and instructions on what to do will be provided.
I read someth9ing about leaving my mac on at night so it can do system tasks, more info on this..?
There are some basic UNIX tasks - clearing log files and such - that run at night and only run if the system is awake. Unless you go months without allowing your computer to stay awake, or running the tasks manually (there are a number of freeware utilities that make this easy), then you don't have to worry. The logs can get a bit large, but with modern hard drives, you're not likely to ever notice.
i read that i shyould be completely draining the battery at least once a week or something...?
Not correct. You do want to run the battery down to where the computer goes to sleep so that the power manager is calibrated, but once a week is far too often and will reduce the life of your battery. Once a month is the most I'd recommend, and once every couple of months would probably be adequate. For more information on managing your battery, see:

  • Long time Gentoo user on the fence...

So, Gentoo's kind of fallen off the wagon. I don't have any problems with the compile times -- but I do have issues with compiling. I love portage, I love ebuilds, I love useflags. But it's all gotten so horribly broken lately that I'm strongly considering switching to a binary distro next time I reformat. I'm sick of dealing with arcane gcc errors that I can't trace back to anything or bizarre blocks and dependency breakage.
I keep hearing, "well, if you like Gentoo's customability but you're sick of screwing with compiles, then switch to Arch."
I want to know if they're right. I would like to give Arch a shot.
But binary distros and me tend to not agree much of the time. It's not so much that their binary based -- I have no issues with binaries. I just don't like their methodology of "since you're using a binary distro, you must be a recent Windows convert and want the computer to hold your hand.". So I need to know some things from some users with first-hand experience.
    - Pacman & package selection: better than apt (please god say yes)? No dependency hell? Is it easy to switch to testing/unstable versions and back? Can I compile select things if I so choose? Is package selection as good as with Portage? Can I find smaller apps and libraries that are useful in a niche in the Pacman reps easily? (like Nitrogen, tint2, pypanel, etc.). It'd be REALLY annoying to have to hunt down 500 tar.gz and compile stuff -- it'd be like using Gentoo without Portage.
    - Kernel selection: Good selections for laptops or certain builds of computers (i.e AMD or Intel?), as opposed to a huge 120 MB kernel with every option enabled? Possibility of easily foregoing Pacman and letting people compile their own (i.e zen-sources, mm-patchset based kernels, etc.)?
    - Sensible defaults: None of this "you're forced to use Gnome with an ugly default themeset and you can't uninstall it" Ubuntu crap, I do hope. If I wanna use Openbox and KDM, I use Openbox and KDM.
    - Sensible core config file locations: This one is a big one for me. For Gentoo, all of the system config files/init scripts were easy to find (/etc/conf.d and /etc/init.d). I used Ubuntu for a while and the damn things were strewn all over the place (stuff like /etc/local/user/net/config/heresanotherdirforsomereason/symlinktohell/config makes me cry).
    - Hands-on-edness: I want to use bash. I want to get in and get a little bit dirty. I don't want GUI-based Windows-esque nonsense ALL of the time. This is my primary complaint for Ubuntu: it shields you for everything, so that you spend more time undoing it's "ease of use" automatic crap than you do actually using the system. I can forgo all of this if it's in Arch at all, right?
I realize I'm being a bit preening and overbearing, but I just want something that doesn't break every 3rd package due to compile errors, but still offers a bit of leeway for experienced Linux users instead of this "let's make Linux more like Windows" idea that seems to be ever-so-pervasive in distros today. I really hope Arch can do this.

It is better than apt. Dependency hell is a lot less painful then apt.
You can't easily switch to testing and back, but Arch Testing and Gentoo/Debian Testing are very different. Currently all that's in Arch's Testing (besides all the Xorg 7.4 packages) is like really new versions of stuff that's a bit too unstable to go into Core/Extra so unless you want to help test stuff, or really want Xorg 7.4, there's no real reason to run Arch's Testing branch.
You can easily compile stuff if you choose with the abs (think of it like FreeBSD's ports tree).
I'd say with the AUR, package selection is better than in Portage, without the AUR, not so much...and yes, all those small things you mentioned...I know for a fact they're either in the AUR, Extra or Community.

The default kernel is VERY small, but it has most of the stuff you'd want enabled, however, there are plenty of extra kernels in the AUR. I believe Zen is in there, the latest 2.6.28 RC is in there and i think mm is in there among others.

Everything is configurable and nothing is set unless you explicitly set it for the most part.

Most config files are in /etc or a subdirectory of /etc (usually only one layer down) and all init scripts are in /etc/rc.d

Everything is manual. I'd consider Arch (in this case) a cross between Gentoo and Debian

Just a suggestion, you should really Just Try Arch and browse the AUR and do some package searches. You'd probably have found all the answers to these questions yourself if you did that (mind you, i'm not complaining).

  • LONG TIME FREEHAND USER, I HAVE A QUESTION

Hey gang, Like the post says I'm a loooong time FreeHand user and I love it and I'm finally starting to realize that it may be gone for good (wipes tear away) Recently I've been trying to learn Illustrator and there are certainly things I like (transparancies, LivePaint, Shape Builder tool, Variable Width tool) There are things I like way better in FreeHand (live manipulation of stars and polygons, simpler tools for beizer curves, 3D effects are live and don't require a secondary window, type on a path is much easier) But I'm not trying to start a "which is better" fight. I do have a question about pdf export from Illustrator though:
Recently I had to send a client a pdf for review. It had 2 placed high rez jpegs in it. I exported it from Illustrator and it ended up being 25MB. Way too large for me to email. So I opened the same file in FreeHand and exported to pdf and it was under 3MB. My FreeHand files have always been much smaller than my Illustrator files, but this big of a difference almost makes me thing I'm doing something wrong. How can I get my pdf's exported from Illustrator to be a smaller file size comparable to my FreeHand pdf's?
    Thanks again!

There are things I like way better in FreeHand...
live manipulation of stars and polygons
Geometric primitives, otherwise known in the old days as LBOs (Lines, Boxes, Ovals, but includes arcs, stars, polygons, etc.) in Illustrator have never been created as special objects with live geometric parameters (corner radius, number of points/sides, angular sweep, etc.) as they are in just about every other program on the planet. In Illustrator, they are just created as lame ordinary paths. One of many very very basic standard functions taken for granted everywhere except in Illustrator.
    ...simpler tools for beizer curves...
More precisely, the archaic and cumbersome interface Illustrator applies to selection (in general, not just paths) in combination with its unnecessarily tedious multi-tool routines for manipulating Bezier paths, in combination with its inconsistent interface display logic. FreeHand's interface for this remains best-of-class. Illustrator's remains worst-of-class. Everything else is somewhere in between.
…3D effects are live and don't require a secondary window…
Illustrator's 3D Effect is an entirely different featue from FreeHand's 3D Extrude. Illustrator's 3D Effect actually calculates 3D geometry; it builds an actual 3D model. FreeHand's 3D Extrude is an arguably clever, but strictly 2D "perspective" kind of construction. There is no actual 3D involved in FreeHand's 3D Extrude feature.
As for the modal dialog: Illustrator is chock full of them. One of the dead giveaways of an archaic, outdated program. So 1980s.  But the one in 3D Effect arguably makes sense, because 3D Effect is a plug-in which actually is a subset of the functionality of an entirely separate and discontinued program (Adobe Dimensions).
    …type on a path is much easier…
Just wait. That's just the tip of the Illustrator text-handling iceberg.
    …a pdf…ended up being 25MB.
This is all part of a mostly smoke-and-mirrors marketing ploy that Adobe (owner of Illustrator, PostScript, and creator of PDF) perpetrated upon the industry a decade or so ago in which it proudly proclaimed "PDF is now Illustrator's native format!"
It's a semantics game in which Adobe basically tries to redefine commonly-understood terms like "native" and "file format." In fact, only the basic constructs of Illustrator objects are understood by PDF. For practical purposes, all the former ballyhoo about 'Illustrator and PDF being the same thing' boils down to this:
By default, when you save an Illustrator file, Illustrator writes an entirely separate version of the content as PDF and "tucks it away" inside the resulting file. That's one large chunk of what makes Illustrator's files look so inappropriately large. Other Adobe programs read the PDF content and ignore the actual AI-native content. So, for example, InDesign's interface scheme pretends that it can place an Illustrator file. It's really just placing the PDF content that is tucked away inside an Illustrator file. Save that "very same AI file" with the PDF Compatibility option turned off, though, and InDesign will not be able to place it.
Inversely, Illustrators interface scheme now pretends that it can Save a PDF as opposed to the normally-understood meaning of exporting a PDF. All this means is that by default, Illustrator writes into the resulting PDF an entirely separate version of the content as Illustrator native objects and "tucks it away" inside the resulting file. So again, you end up with an absurdly bloated PDF. Programs other than Illustrator read the PDF content and ignore the actual AI-native content. Save that "very same PDF file" with the Maintain Illustrator Editability option turned off, though, and when you open it again later with Illustrator, you'll find that everything has been dumbed-down to the simpler and more basic constructs that PDF actually handles, contained in a bunch of (often nested) clipping paths. In commonly-understood language, you have not "opened" that PDF; you've imported it.
It's similar to what Macromedia did with PNG and Fireworks. Fireworks doesn't even give its native files a unique file extension. It's "just" PNG. But in commonly-undertood terms, it's not just PNG. The PNG format was written to accommodate a mechanism by which a program that writes the PNG can "tuck away" or "comment out" or "embed" anything its own content. So when Macromedia built Fireworks it just built it to write all its own native stuff (for example, its vector paths) in that "embedded" region of the file, and still save the file as a PNG. So—PNG being the raster image format that it really is—someone uses a raster program (Photoshop, etc.) to open a PNG that some unsuspecting Fireworks user created thinking it's a vector/raster metaformat (after all, PNG is Fireworks's "native" format, right?). The Photoshop user makes some minor edit and saves the PNG. The Fireworks user opens the file and wonders where all his Fireworks-native vector objects went.
Adobe, of course, acquired Macromedia, discontinued the vector program with which it could never functionally compete, and kept the web-centric drawing/painting program Fireworks. But of course Fireworks didn't handle the smoke-and-mirrors the way Adobe did with Illustrator. So now, in the most recent versions of Photoshop, you receive an alert when you open a PNG that says something like "Contains Fireworks content that will be lost when you Save this file." Real elegant, huh?
Such nonsense and confusion is what results when programmers are pushed by marketing to over-insulate the click-and-drag users from what is really going on.

As I am a developer I do not have the access to Sql profiler or tuning agent to optimize my query, I have used some joins over the temp table #HIHO which indeed pulling the records from table EDW_Source which has 5 million records, I also added Non clustered
indexes on prov_ID, SMG_ID and Incurred month for this table, but still it is taking longer time. Need help

  • GRC AC RAR - long time for user analysis

    Hi all,
we have scheduled a Risk Analysys at permission level with 2.000 users. Looking at report log we see that each user is processed in around 2 seconds. The system seems to be freezed at 41% to a specific user. Now it is working on this single user since 2 hours.
Any suggestions to uderstand why it happens ?
What can we look at ?
    Andrea

First of all check the Directory where you are storing the RTA extracts to get populated in RAR analysis engine. Also check the Batch Job daemon from your browser by using the url:   http://<servername>:port/webdynpro/dispatcher/virsa/ccappcomp/BgJobStart?debug=1
Next check can be at connector level. Try to generate the Rule Set for all the Rule Ids. If the Rule set generation also takes longer time than earlier cases then you may need to check the following notes and their suggestions:
[Note 1121978 - Recommended settings to improve peformance risk analysis|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap%28bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==%29/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0001121978&nlang=E]
[Note 986997 - Risk Analysis & Remediation tuning for optimal performance|https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap%28bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==%29/bc/bsp/spn/sapnotes/index2.htm?numm=0000986997&nlang=E]
Also based on the DB you are using you may need to check some other notes as well. For e.g.:
1313116 - Performance issues when running Risk Analysis in RAR w/MaxDB
Also to be in the safer side make sure that you are on the updated support pack level. Like SP 14 atleast for AC 5.2 or SP 8 for AC 5.3

  • Time to upgrade:  Long time Apple user, get the Iphone 4 or Droid 3???

    Hello,
It's time to upgrade to a new phone for both me and the wife, she needs a new phone now as her LG env3 is acting up.  I'm a looong time Apple user, and of course the Apple iphone is a natural to pick, however It'll cost $350 for 2 when we use the last $50 credit for new/every 2.  The new Droid 3 looks very interesting and we can get 2 for $149 for both with the credit and the BOGO sale going on.
So which should we get, mainly use the phone for talk, texting and will of course check emails, etc once we get a smart phone.  The Env3's we have now are good at texting with the keyboard and of course good for talking.
If we go for the Apple, I could get her the iphone 4 for her and I can wait for the iphone 5 if it's actually coming out this year.

I currently have a Droid Global 2 and while I enjoy the expanded features of a smartphone, I miss my Env2 terribly for one main reason :  The keyboard was the best!.   The Droid Global 2's slide-out keyboard lacks dedicated number keys and is a bit cramped compared to the Env, but much faster/accurate than an iPhone.
I will be upgrading to the DROID 3 as it now has dedicated number keys and a larger screen.
While I really wanted an iPhone, the lack of a physical keyboard was the dealbreaker.  I test drove a friends phone and made so many errors in email, texting, dialing #s that I knew it wasn't going to be acceptable for me.  It took forever to do basic texting...and I have very small hands/fingers!   Can't imagine how big 'man hands' would handle the iPhone.
If keyboard accuracy/'speed is not a big deal the and iPhone will work for you.  The iPhone is much lighter as it doesn't have a physical keyboard....some people just have to have Apple regardless.
    Good luck on the Apple

  • Long time Mac users

    Question:
Do Mac users have less problems with this phone?
    GG

I'm a Mac user and have been one for sometime. Long before where we are today- iphone 1.0 tech
I was thinking that there would be problems or mostly not all the bells and whistles of my blackberry- I maybe missing and misspeaking some but over all iphone exceeds on more than the looks, feel. The touch screen is so good its freaky-even my 3 year old says I'm I doing that with my finger.
To answer your question from my point of view- One it is the property of apple to know its operating system. So not to any intention other then years of knowledge, would I believe that apple should have a product that is made to operate under it's own hood better than operating under MS but it seems more likely then not. Although I am not sure that is the case
What I would point out is that one, I believe that the iphone is being put though that paces in both markets - PC and Mac I am impressed with how well it has done. I believe we are hearing from few about large issues & problems. We hear issue one with connecting to AT&T, some syncing, some volume some Wifi and or edge, few others. For myself the issue have been iphone and I have to learn about each other. Some my learing curve some upgrades to come. We are not in fear of 2000, and of the world stopping while all the mainframes had only been taught the date with 2 years not four. That seems to have gone well to but I am still waiting!
Mostly I love the phone- calling and paring or conferencing is a pleasure. If you have not done so already try it. The screen is right there to walk you through it. Photos, I carry a years worth-1400 and some, movies I have two on here, songs around 290, ipod cast around 4 and 4 TV shows. Try that on a blackberry.
Not to point fingers but look at how the last product MS put out in the gaming world did. I believe I read to day that MS was going to throw 1 billion or so at the Xbox too fix it. That's rough.
I own a business and have PC computer along with Mac and while I was fast to embrace the Mac OS upgrades I walked gingerly into XP world and I have not upgraded from there.
Do I see issue- YES- do I see a bright future- PUT THE SHADES ON- apple always makes me smile
