Longer audio loop than video

45 sec soundtrack aiff plays only for the loop of 10 second video and then restarts in a menu. I was hoping the video would loop and keep paying the aiff file completely.
Thanks,
Julius

To do so would mean the laser would have to be in two places at once on your disc - one for the audio and one for the video... there is no concept of caching on a DVD...
The way to achieve what you want is to construct the 45 seconds of video to match the audio loop using an app like FCP, AE or whatever. Bring that into DVDSP and you should find it works as you want.

  • Separately recorded audio shorter than video recorded simultaneously

    Recorded video using Sanyo Xacti VPC-FH1A in iFrame format. Audio recorded with SoundStudio out of the mixing board. When I overlay the audio onto the video, the audio runs faster than the video and already two minutes into it is noticeable, 5 mins in it's totally early. 18 mins of video the audio is only 17 mins long. I've done this using GarageBand to record the audio and it syncs up perfectly. Any thoughts why SoundStudio seems to compress time? It's 44,100 aiff file. Or is iFrame stretching time? I'm stumped.

    Hi
    As I get it - and do.
    • .aiff (no .mp3 etc - all converted to .aiff)
    • 16-bit (no 12-bit)
    • 48KHz (all converted to this - FinalCut Express or Pro handles other resolutions eg 32Khz, 44.1KHz (CD-audio) etc.)

  • Output audio different than video

    From FCP, timeline highlighted, I exported to Compressor. 30 minutes of video and corresponding audio. When it's finished the video is what was in the timeline in FCP, but the audio is from another clip altogether.
    I've tried the same steps with other video/audio in the timeline. Same thing. The outputted audio is ALWAYS from the same (different) clip. Compressor version 1.2.1.
    The compressed audio is from the first batch of footage I captured for this project. Every time I try and compress something in the timeline the audio is always from this clip.
    Any thoughts/suggestions?
    thanks!

    Hi. I'm running STP 2.0.2 with 5.1 audio through an RME Fireface 400 and sending the video via HDMI from a Black Magic Intensity card to an LCD TV. If I can refer you to page 318 of the manual it states that "When you use a video output device that supports both video and audio output, Soundtrack Pro automatically routes your audio output to this device to provide the best possible synchronization of the audio and video". Therefore not a bug, but a default built into STP.
    I'm sure they are correct, but cannot see why this was not added as a preference option. My solution has been to run the LCD TV as a second monitor through it's PC input, which works fine but does not give HD image. I have tried many options (All combos of available audio preferences for system and STP) without success. My next plan is to cut the HDMI cable and disable the audio if possible, but this may not work due to the nature of HDMI (System may believe the HDMI output is an audio capable video device even though audio path has been severed).

  • 4" x 6" videos take longer to open than a 3" x 5" vid? Load time affected?

    I think I know the answer to my question but I want to make sure before I go and change the sizes of all my little mini videos:
    Does the speed at which a video opens depend (among other things) on the DIMENSIONS OF THE VIEWING BOX? So that a 3“ x 5” picture takes longer to open than, say, a 4“ X 6” picture?
    Is the difference a noticeable one? If a larger picture means waiting only two more seconds for the video to open and show, then that seems an Ok payoff to me. But if the wait becomes considerably longer, than it probably is not Ok to the visitor.
    Thank you.

    Winston C... I mean at the point where a visitor to my website has already opened the Big Album Index page and clicks onto one of my mini videos, like the Dominatrix Rise Up vid. If I were to make smaller the box in which you see the Dominatrix speaking, would that page open up faster? If yes, then is it substantially faster? Or am I ok just leaving the dimensions of the box alone?

  • How Can I Create a Menu Where the Audio Loops Twice But the Video Loops Forever

    I'm wanting to create a 50 second looping menu with a video background and some music, but I only want the music to play twice.  After the second time the music plays, I'd like the video background to continue looping, but not have any music.
    How could I achieve this while giving the user the ability to make menu selections at any time?  I've seen it done on a number of commerically available DVDs and Blu-rays, but I can't figure out how to do it in Encore.
    I'm using Encore CS6.
    Thanks.

    Stan Jones wrote:
    I do not know if that works, but I don't see why it wouldn't.
    I'm not sure what you're referring to.  Are you referring the commercially available DVDs that I've seen achieving what I mentioned in the first post?
    There's definately a way to do this, but perhaps Encore just insn't capable. I always find it annoying when a DVD menu loops music or some other audio infinately.  I may stick a disc in the player and walk into the other room to do something while it's loading up.  I always appreciate it when whoever made the disc only has the music or audio looping a couple of times, then it stops.
    Just wish I could do the same.

  • How do you black out video w white titles showing   audio playing  ,than slowly fade to reveal video

    How do you black out video w white titles showing   audio playing  ,than slowly fade to reveal video

    From the Transitions browser (far right of iMovie's window, shaped like an hourglass), drag the Fade to Black transition to the gap between the Title and video thumbnail. Alternatively, drag the Cross Dissolve transition - rather than fading to black, the image will gradually transform from the Title to the video.
    Double-click the transition to open the Inspector - you can change the duration there if preferred.
    John
    PS. Re-reading your question, if the video is continuous with a Title inserted, you will need to split the clip at the point where the Title ends, then drag in the transition. To split the clip, right-click (or Control-click) at the split point then select "Split Clip" from the pop-up menu.

  • Seamlessly looping FLVPlayback video no longer seamlessly looping

    Hi,
    Back in 2009 I created seamless video loops using the FLVPlayback component and 'addEventListener' (as3)—and they worked great!  looping round and round seamlessly—equally well in browsers as in flash. The videos were of varying lengths, small (all between 50—500K), and they looped perfectly.
    Recently I've gone back to update things and noticed that my video loops are no longer seamlessly looping in any of the web browsers. Now there's a big pause interrupting the seamless flow.
      ??? why?  Has something in the delivery (browsers/flashplayer) changed?  All my video loops still run seamlessly when tested in Flash (CS5).  I spent a good amount of time investigating various angles but could not find any solution.
      Anyhow, here's the actionscript:
      stop();
      import fl.video.*;
      toggleButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, rolloverToggle);
      toggleButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, rolloutToggle);
      toggleButton.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK, toggleClick);
      toggleButton.buttonState = "off";
          function rolloverToggle(event:MouseEvent):void {
          toggleButton.gotoAndStop(toggleButton.buttonState+" over");
          function rolloutToggle(event:MouseEvent) {
          toggleButton.gotoAndStop(toggleButton.buttonState);
          function toggleClick(event:MouseEvent):void {
              if (toggleButton.buttonState == "on") {
                  toggleButton.buttonState = "off";
             vid_16_monty.pause();
              }else {
                  toggleButton.buttonState = "on";
             vid_16_monty.play();
          vid_16_monty.addEventListener(VideoEvent.COMPLETE, rewind);
          function rewind(event:VideoEvent) {
             vid_16_monty.play();
              toggleButton.gotoAndStop(toggleButton.buttonState+" over");
    the video that goes with the above script can be viewed here:  http://www.designfail.us     cat should be in seamless motion... but it's not.
    Also, not sure it would make much difference, but I'd be happy to attach an fla file—Adobe says it's a good idea but nowhere do they tell you how to attach an fla file... very peculiar, especially in these emphatic UI/UX times we live in.

  • Audio recording/playback plays too fast, faster than Video

    : Whenever I record sound from my computer, whether it's from my mic or just sounds playing on the computer, the recorded file always plays the audio faster than the video. I've checked the drivers and re-installed several times, even reformatted and it's still the same thing. I even played around with the hardware acceleration meter with trial and error and it end's up always the same.
    What could be the problem?

    Try turning off automatic exposure in the settings. And adjust some of the other settings (gamma, brightness, exposure) until you get a picture which you're happy with. And try that. In the UK, films are made at 24fps (frames per second) PAL format, and in America it's 30fps NTSC format. So yes, 30fps is as good as it gets! It's as good as TV and better than a lot of other webcams.

  • IPhone 4S keeps playing audio from a video file that is no longer on my phone.

    If I'm listening to music and try to change tracks or pause with the earbud buttons the music fades out and starts playing audio from a video file. It will only play about 3-4 seconds and then stop. This also will happen when double clicking the home button to try and change tracks. When I do that the track skipping buttons won't work and there's no title for the short bit of audio that plays. The only way to get music to start playing again is to go into music and press play again. The music I had been listening to is sitting there paused. The audio from the mystery video file still sometimes plays even when you're in music and the only way you would know is the little play icon at the top right part of the screen. I have removed every video off of my phone and it still does it. This is really frustrating.

    Sounds like a bad battery.  You'll need to bring the phone into Apple for evaluation.
    I'm sure you've been using your phone as designed and properly backing up your data, so you should have minimal, if any data loss should the phone need to be replaced.

  • No longer able to hear audio on youtube videos

    Since upgrading to Firefox 23.0.1, I noticed I was having intermittent issues with no audio in Youtube videos. I have since discovered that, if I go to youtube to watch a video, there is no audio. The weird thing about this, though, if the video is linked through a forum, and I watch it embedded through that forum, it works fine.
    Other video sites (test site linked in the FAQ and the videos on mozilla.org) work fine. If I open the youtube video in IE, it works fine.
    I've tried searching these forums and the internet in general, but I'm not seeing anything similar.

    Did you check the volume setting for the plugin-container in the volume mixer via its icon on the Windows Task bar (notification area)?

  • How can I output audio to a different output than video?

    I am using STP to do some ADR work and I am having the following issue:
    Whenever I play back my material which has a 720p video track, both the audio and the video go out of my Kona LHe. I want to be able to separate the audio to go to a different hardware output from the video. Is there a way to do this?

  • How to fix audio  of a video captured from DV output of camcorder using Adobe Premiere Elements 8?

    Hello,
    I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 8 about one week ago.  I installed it and everything seem to work well in my first project.  I am new at editing videos but I was succesful in testing it by loading an existing video file in avi format from my computer and then doing some very basic editing (I splitted 2 scenes and added a title).
    After my first succesful project (described above) I started a brand new project. Here, I want to capture a one hour video  from the dv output of a video camera. So I connected the camera to the PC and then started adobe elements 8.  Before starting the capture I only checked the boxes that said "capture video" and "capture audio" (the other 2 boxes that said download to timeline and autoanalyze were left unchecked).  After that I started the capture process.
    After the video capture was completed, a small window opened at the bottom saying that a PEAK FILE was being generated.    After the peak file generation finished, I looked at the captured video.  The video looked perfect.  However the audio of the video was too fast. By this, I mean that the voices of the people in the movie were like they were speaking at more than twice the normal speed.  Or to explain it in a different way, they sounded like the  chipmunks.
    So now I come to the question of this thread I started.  Is there a way that I can fix the audio part of the video I captured?  I will appreciate any help on this. Below I listed a few additional details in case this is needed.
    Thanks,
    ronel_8
    PS.  Here are some more details about my system:
    1) Operating System: Windows XP
    2) I am capturing the video on an external drive with 40 GB of available space. The external drive is connected to a PC via a USB connection.
    3) Computer CPU: 2.4 GHZ
    4) Computer RAM: 1.25 GB
    5) Video tape is about one hour long.

    Hello Bill and Steve,
    Your responses are very helpful.  Although I was not able to fix the problem yet I do seem to think from what you both say that my system may be too slow to capture the one hour video. In any case I will copy below more details about the system as you requested:
    1) Results from running Gspot:
    The audio section of the Gspot window was blank. That is, no information was there.  The File and Container sections say:
    File Size: 12.6 GB
    Note: 7.63 GB unneeded bytes at the end of the file
    DV Type1 AVI
    2) I did run the Gspot on another good avi file (captured to the PC with same camcorder) and says:
    Codec PCM Audio
    32kHz 1024 kb/s tot (2 chnls).
    I suppose these are the audio settings from the camera.
    3) Yes, I am capturing video from a miniDV camcorder (JVC GR-D70U).
    4) I did not defragment the external drive prior to capturing the video with the audi problem.  So I will give that I try and see if it solves the problem.
    5) The external drive I am using is formatted to NTFS.
    6) The computer is a Dell Dimension 2400, CPU: 2.4 GHZ, RAM: 1.25 GB
    7) HDD Size=74GB and 11 GB of free space.  But I am downloading video to external drive that has 60 GB free space.
    One last piece of information that may be useful.  If I open the AVI file (that I captured with Adobe Premiere Elements) with Windows Media Player, the audi sounds good.  However if I open it with Adobe it has the problem I mentioned in my previous e-mail.
    I'll aprreciate any further hints.
    Thanks again,
    ronel_8

  • Download Connect Recordings, Audio but no Video

    Hi All
    I am using the https://www.example.com/p10101010/output/filename.zip?download=zip method to download recordings from our Connect platform. (note: i am aware of the "make offline" option but this is not a good solution for me)
    so, I get a .zip file with some .flv and .xml files but there only seems to be audio content, no video. The file i'm playing is the cameraVoip_0_2.flv which gives me audio, also the recordings i'm trying to download are 1.5 to 2 hours long so i was expecting much larger files than the ones that appear
    from looking around the various forums it seems there should be a "screenshare.flv" file present in the downloaded zip, but its missing from my .zip... screenshot below
    I have also used the Adobe Desktop client to "fetch" the files for local play back and although the quality is not great, they would be fine for my purposes.  However i can not locate the file(s) on my PC, Does any one know the path which the desktop client uses to save the files locally?
    I dont think I am alone in having trouble with this issue of downloading recordings, but I have searched extensively for a fix...but no joy   :-/
    thanks in advance
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
    Regarding the screenshare FLV; this is only present if you have used screensharing in the Meeting you recorded; it is not present by default. How was the video brought into your meeting room, via the camera pod or other?
    Is your Adobe Connect site on-premise (hosted yourself) or hosted by Adobe? If the latter, I can take a look at our logs and see what happened here, just send me a private message with your room URL.
    As for where the Adobe Connect Desktop offline recordings are stored...
    On Windows XP its here: C:\Documents and Settings\user-name\Application Data\com.adobe.connect.desktop\Local Store\
    On WIndows 7 it's here: C:\Users\user-name\AppData\Roaming\com.adobe.connect.desktop\Local Store

  • Audio bug with WAV files: use mp3, not wav for syncing long audio files

    Just a tip:
    I've noticed another audio bug in Presenter (including 7.05) but there is a workaround. I often export the audio as a single, long clip from pre-recorded lecture videos, and sync it with the powerpoint slides in Presenter. I've found it easiest to import the long audio file into the first slide, then sync using the Edit Audio window. I find that much easier to use than the Sync audio window.
    However, If you use WAV format for the imported audio file, sometimes Presenter will simply refuse to play back anything beyond about 5 minutes into the timeline in the Edit Audio window. Nothing fixes it - restarting, re-importing, etc. However the problem goes away if you save the audio as mp3.
