Loohing For "Sun demand paged SPARC" file format

Gentle People:
I am looking for information on the
"Sun demand paged SPARC" file format.
Apparently this is not the same as
ELF, since and ELF Reader cannot read
it.
Specifically I would like to find the
file format specification or at least
the appropriate .h file defining the
structures. I am thinking of something
similar to elf.h.
BTW I have already tried the likely
sources such as Sun documentation, the Sun
web site, and a search of my *.h files
or maybe I missed something.
Is this file format anything like or
similar to ELF? Will knowledge of ELF be
of any help?
Dose anyone know of any software tools
to analyze or disassemble files of this format
Thanks for the help.

I don't think such format exists - please double check your
source - it might be a typo or copy and paste error.

    Hello,
I previously used Firefox on my old Mac G4 with OS 10.3.9; the above issue existed with that system and Firefox 2.00.2 (or similar). I then "tried" to move to a G5 Mac with OS 10.5, hoping that an updated Mac Operating system and updating Firefox would solve that problem.
I'm now working on my son's MacBook Pro, OS 10.5.8, 2.4 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo; 2gb Memory; 2 gb 667 Mhz DDR2 SDRAM.
I still have a problem in Firefox Preferences trying to download .qif files. BofA Mortgage accounts only allow downloading of .qif files. My .qfx download works fine, but the error message is as follows:
The error message is that this is a corrupted file or one that Preview doesn't recognize.
and it is still a problem when trying to download Quicken .qif format files for our B of A mortgage.
The preferences for Firefox under File Helpers won't let me name the extension I want; instead, it CONFUSES .qif (Quicken Interchange Format) with .qtif (Quicktime Image Format) for Mac.
Therefore, when I download .qif files and try to import them to Quicken, I get a message that this is a corrupted file:
    thanks for any help.

Well, in the end, I just gave up and deleted the photos, in the hope that it was something to do with them. Took some more photos and they seem to have imported without any problems at all.
Given that the same irksome photos loaded on the wife's macbook without so much as a murmur, how weird is that?
Still- all's well that ends well. Thanks for the suggestions- much appreciated.

  • Photoshop Elements 10  plug-in required for the new Camera RAW file format used by the new Canon 6D

I have a new Canon 6D and prefer to use Camera RAW.  This new file format is not compatable with Elements 10.  A new plug-in maybe is required.
    Can anyone help?
    Regards,

I can't find Canon 6D in the list of supported cameras for even ACR 7.3. I would thus suggest you converting your raw files to dng using dng convertor tool and then open the dng files in ACR.
Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your raw files to the Adobe universal Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your original raw files as backups and for use in the manufacturers software)
Windows download click here DNG Converter 7.2
Mac download click here DNG Converter 7.2
You can convert a whole folder of raw images in one click. See this quick video tutorial:

  • EBS - BAI2 file format

    Hi Guys
We are using BAI file format as the format which has been send by our banker and the same is working fine. T- Code used to upload is FF_5 and the algarithm used is 011
Now our banker has changed the file format to BAI2
In the given file we have cheque number in 16, 475 line and we are using 011 as algarithm. When we upload via FF_5 the first entry is passed for debiting the Cash Disbursement account by crediting Cash Main Bank account, this is in the file with ZBA transfer credit
When it comes to the second entry of debit check clearing a/c to cash disbursement account credit, we are getting an error as the difference is two large. When we checked the same, the system is picking document number as * and hence the entire list is displayed without selecting the correct payment document number with cheque number which is in the reference of the payment document number
To take it further, we have changed the algarithm to 015, where the cheque number is given in the assignment field in the payment document number. In this case the system picks the leading five zero which is available in the uploaded file along with the /
We tried to remove all the leading zero in the upload file from the cheque number which is available in the line 16, 475 as well as the / in that line and the system gave the correct output
In the above, we are not sure why 011 algarithm is not working ( we tried by giving only the BELNR, only XBLNR, BELNR and XBLNR etc)  the output was always " the differnce is too large for clearing ) since the algorithm has not searched for the proper document AND in case 015 algarithm, why the system is taking leading zero as well and why its picking the \ in the assigment while its clearing. Because of this / the system is not picking the cheque number
Can any one show some light on this
    Thanks - Bala

    Hi Guys
We are using algorathim 011 for our EBS. The file format from our banker is BAI2
When we are uploading the statement, the accounting entries got cleared. But the issue we face is encashment date is not updated in FCH1 (Check Information)
With this if we check, at any point of time in the check register the entire check are still open. We have verified the following why the check encashment date is not updated
    - In line 88, checked MICR ACCT and MICR ABA is same as our bank key in our house bank configuration
    - Checked the Global setting on EBS, for external transaction 475 the interpretation logic is 011 and processing type is "clearing with check"
    - Verified the check lenght
After all this if we upload any EBS statement using FF_5, the accounting entries are posted and not the encashment date is updated in FCH1
    Thanks in advance

  • Canon C500 Raw and RMF file format

Does anyone know if Adobe has plans to include native support for the Canon 4K Raw file format (.RMF) specifically for speedgrade and After Effects? I am looking at work flows for an upcoming project that will most likely be shot on the C500 in 4k recorded raw onto the Gemeni 4:4:4 external recorder but my adobe suite has no way to color grade the dailies or even link up the online and offline edit without support for the raw files. If there is something forth coming what is the time frame if not is there a 3rd party solution?

    Hello everybody,
I'm looking for information regarding the database file format which is used to store CANbus channels.
Did anyone happen to deal with that?

    Hi arieh,
The two supported file formats for CAN in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) are .dbc and .ncd.  You can import CANdb files by right clicking on the CANchannels folder in MAX.  For more detailed information on the CAN file format click here.

  • Cert-pwd-file format (migrate local /etc/passwd file to Sun ldap 6.3)

    Hello,
I am trying to migrate the local /etc/passwd file to the LDAP. I have created the passowrd text file, when I run the command:
    # dsadm stop /local/ds
    # dsadm set-flags /local/ds cert-pwd-prompt=on

    I got errors like this:
/local/ds/certpassword.txt contains newline[s]. Cannot use it as credentials file.
    My certpassword.txt file format: "root:x:0:0:Super-User:/:/sbin/sh"
What is the best way to mirgrate local accout to the LDAP? Is my password file format correct?
Thanks a lot for your help!

    You're misinterpreting the usage/purpose of dsadm's cert-pwd-file option.
Here's two ideas that I think are more along the lines of what you want:

I have an external hard drive - WD My Passport FOR MAC. I want to format it to work on both mac and windows. I also want to be able to connect it to my TV and watch movies.
I read up and I think I am supposed to use exFAT or FAT32? I also saw MS-DOS. Which format should I should use? Will any of them cause damage to the files on the hard drive?
My little memory stick uses MS-DOS and it works on both mac and windows.
Please can you just tell me a little about each and suggest which one to use.
I know how to change it once you tell me so don't waste your time writing about changing it.

Will any of them cause damage to the files on the hard drive?
WARNING: FORMATTING A DRIVE ERASES IT COMPLETELY !!
If you need to carry large files (e.g., larger than about 4GB) back and forth, you may need ExFAT. Otherwise MS-DOS works for smaller files.
The Mac can Read, but not write Windows New Technology File System (NTFS) without an add-on program such as Paragon NTFS.

  • Best Hi Def File Format for PE 10 on a PC?

I am running Premiere Elements 10 on a PC, Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, two internal 1 TB Hard Drives, 16 gigs of RAM, with Blu Ray Burner drive. I have done a fair amount of video editing using PE 10 on this rig with standard def material, but now I hope to do some high def work. I plan to have some old family 16mm home movies transferred to hi-def media and do some minor editing (color / contrast correction and maybe some simple transition effects) and then burn the edited files to Blu ray disc.
I am all ready to send my 16mm footage off the the transfer house, but I need to know what would be the best file format for my set up. The formats they have available are DPX Image Sequence, TIFF Image Sequence, and Quicktime (either 422 HQ or 4444 HQ). I am assuming the preferred format would be either of the Quicktime files, and I have downloaded short (about 10 to 15 second) sample files in both 422 HQ and 4444 HQ and was able to import each into PE 10 with no problem and successfully do various edits on each.
But I have read a good number of posts on this and other forums from PC owners who are running Premiere Elements and have had problems either loading Quicktime 422 & 4444, or editing them once they were loaded into PE.
Can anyone comment on this for me? Basically, all I want to know is what Hi Def file format(s) I can reliably use on my computer with PE 10. I don't want to pay several hundred dollars (or possibly more) for a digital transfer from my 16mm footage that turns out to be useless to me.
    Rob McKay

    ATR -
Thanks for your very informative reply. I'm afraid the transfer house doesn't offer samples.
Since you think the ProRes 422 would be best for me, here is what I have done in my own tests:
    1) Downloaded short ProRes 422 HQ clips into files on my computer hard drive from several websites. The longest of these clips is 30 seconds.
    2) Using the "get media" tool in PE 10, I've brought these clips into PE 10.
    3) Dragged the clips into the project timeline. At first I got a popup message saying (and I have paraphrased this) the "file format is not supported by PE 10. Would you like the program to convert it to a format supported by PE 10?"  I clicked "yes" and the clip appeared in the timeline. Later on I stopped getting this popup message. I've no clue what format the program might be converting the ProRes 422 HQ files to.
    4) After I had a couple minutes of short clips in the timeline, I copied and pasted some of them over and over in the timeline until my entire video time was about 30 minutes in length. Reason for this was simply because I am trying to replicate as best I can what my file from the Transfer House will be like - not 2 minutes in length, but closer to 30 minutes.
    5) Did a few minor editing effects on the timeline of the sort I would be doing on my Transfer House file - contrast and color correction, time stretch /speed change, etc.
    6) Went to "Share" tab, clicked on "Disc - Burn to Blu Ray". In the Presets dropdown menu, I chose "H.264 1920x1080i NTSC Dolby" (Note - Only four choices appear. The one I chose, as well as "H.264 1440x1080i NTSC Dolby" and the same two again except in PAL Dolby.)
    7) Burned a BD-R of the project in Blu ray burner.
I was very pleased with the result - image was nice sharp quality, smooth moving (no dropped frames) and filled my 4 foot x 8 foot screen when played on my Blu Ray player through an Epson projector.

  • IMovie for Mac: "iMovie cannot open files in the "iMovie for iOS Project" format."

    Question, asked professionally
When will iMovie for Mac be able to open iMovie for iOS projects?
    Question, asked snarkily
Any reasonable expectation that we will ever be able to edit projects--created in iMovie on our fancy new expensive phones--in iMovie on our fancy new expensive laptops?
    Specs
    iPhone 6 Plus (contract-free, 128 GB)
    iOS 8.1.2
    iMovie for IOS 2.1.1
    MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid-2014)
    OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
    iMovie for Mac 10.0.6
    Error Messages
iMovie for Mac: "iMovie cannot open files in the "iMovie for iOS Project" format."
iMovie for iOS: "An error occurred during export."
    Frustration
Manufacturer: Apple (a multibillion dollar company)
    The year: 2015
    Hours lost: Three Weeks
Total costs for both devices: $4,000
    Background Details
I just wasted thousands of dollars on these two hardware devices by making the rookie mistake of assuming projects were compatible across iMovie applications. However, the exported .iMovieMobile project files are in an incompatible iMovie for iOS Project format that iMovie for Mac cannot import. So I am stuck with a 15 GB .iMovieMobile project file--for an hour-long+ video--that I created and I was editing on my iPhone for weeks that I can no longer edit on my iPhone due to an error, nor potentially rescue the lost hours on my Mac, the sole reason I purchased it one day ago. The reason I can no longer edit the project on the iPhone is because iMovie for iOS suddenly stopped displaying the video of the project in preview, external display, etc. The clip snapshots remain visible and the audio remains audible, but the video appears fully black. Any attempt to export the video at any resolution generates an error message. (This error applies only to this project; other projects export without issue.) I can save to and from iTunes or iCloud without issue, but import into iMovie for Mac is unavailable for this latest version. Deleting and reinstalling the app does not resolve the issue. Nothing has resolved this issue; so I purchased the Mac as a last attempt, and it appears that I will have to begin the meticulously painful process of recreating the video from scratch with all the titling, sound effects, precise edits, transitions, organization, etc. This video was to surprise my mother for her birthday with "this is your life" footage, including my late father. It may seem like a small first-world problem, but such things carry big emotional impacts. What began as such a wonderfully intuitive and joyful experience has descended into a soul-suffering nightmare of catastrophic proportions. This software grinch stole christmas.
    Likely Suspect
I believe this originated from Apple's confusingly designed iTunes client that removed videos used by iMovie for IOS during a sync, which I successfully restored back to the iPhone. This apparently resulted in iOS seeking and then claiming to find all of the videos, but somehow a bug in the coding causes the audio to play but not display video, and no way to resolve the bug from an enduser standpoint. I was hoping that iMovie for Mac would allow me a workaround, but I'll never know because the iOS and Mac formats are currently and dishearteningly incompatible.
    Suggestions
I never performed a full backup of the iPhone, but I don't believe any of the iCloud nor local backups actually backup iMovie projects themselves anyway. (That's a fail.) So one must back them up manually to iTunes or iCloud.
MANUALLY BACKUP YOUR PROJECTS DAILY, IF NOT HOURLY.
MANUALLY BACKUP YOUR PROJECTS BEFORE IMPORTING OR SYNCING FROM ITUNES.
MANUALLY BACKUP YOUR PROJECTS BEFORE IMPORTING VIDEO CREATED OUTSIDE  OF YOUR IOS DEVICE.
    Resolutions
Hope Apple fixes this problem soon? Perhaps.
Return the Mac to Apple, if they allow? Perhaps.
Someone in this community will provide a magical workaround--that I haven't already attempted? Perhaps.
As unlikely these options may be, I shudder to imagine that I may be forced to suffer no resolution and $3,000+ completely down the drain, because if iMovie for IOS worked as intended, I wouldn't have ever purchased the Mac as a last ditch effort to rescue the project. It meant that much to me to surprise my mother by attempting to retrieve this project file from oblivion--but to no avail.

I appreciate you taking the time to copy and paste boilerplate responses to increase your points in this forum, but I've already read all those support articles in depth; but you have barely read my post at all. Please don't guess a fix. Only someone with the latest versions of iMovie, iOS, iPhone, Yosemite, and MacBook Pro is qualified to troubleshoot this, because anyone would immediately see that the following option no longer exists:
Open iMovie on your Mac, and choose File > Import > iMovie for iOS Project.
Read my post before you reply: It clearly says in the title and within my post that I can neither export nor import through iTunes without receiving an error message. So your response neither solved my question nor helped me whatsoever.

  • Please add support for JPEG Exchangeable Image File Format (EXIF)

It seems that now Adobe® Illustrator® can export only to the JPEG File Interchange Format (JFIF). We should have an option to produce the JPEG Exchangeable image file format (EXIF) as well (just like Photoshop does!). Why this is so important to me? I generally work under Illustrator and I often post my work on Behence. I work with 'sRGB IEC61966-2.1' color profile. When publishing I use *.jpg with embedded ICC Color Profile. But it looks like Behence doesn’t fully support the JPEG JFIF – for example it cannot read its icc data correctly. The effect is that my work looses its quality! The only option to produce the JPEG EXIF I have now is to: Export *.ai file to JPEG (under Adobe Illustrator) > go to Photoshop > Create new project > Paste the *.jpg > and Sava As JPEG with icc embedded. This guarantees my files are being processed correctly.
(JPEG) Formally, the EXIF and JFIF standards are incompatible. This is because both specify that their particular application segment (APP0 for JFIF, APP1 for Exif) must be the first in the image file. In practice, many programs and digital cameras produce files with both application segments included. This will not affect the image decoding for most decoders, but poorly designed JFIF or Exif parsers may not recognize the file properly. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JPEG_File_Interchange_Format#Exif_comparison )
I’ve analyzed my files using JPEGsnoop 1.6.1 (an app by Calvin Hass, http://www.impulseadventure.com/photo/) and here is the result:

Edited by: kavita painter on Dec 15, 2009 12:19 PM

    Hi there,
That is not really an error.  If you specify the country(ies) you intend to upload, then the program will only go after those countries from the upload file.  However, if you do not specify any countries, the program assumes that you want to load all countries.  Therefore, for each country that is not included in your upload file, the system will write the message "No Data for Selected Country." I hope that makes sense and that it helps.
