I have a couple hundred expressions saved as animation presets that do all kinds of automated but editable behaviors for layers. One of my favorite is this FlyInBounceOut. Apply this preset to any layer at any scale, 2D or 3D and the layer flys in from the left side of the frame, bounces to a stop, then, just before the out point, falls off the bottom of the screen. Everything from the speed of the fly in to the bounce rate is controlable by slider and the in and out point of the layer set the start and end point for the animation. All you do is add a layer, set the in and out point, move the CTI to the middle part of the layer and drag it into your desired resting position, then apply the effect and adjust the speed and bounce if you would like.
Here's the preset for you or anybody to look at.
You could take Andrew's expression or some variation of it, create an animation pre-set, and then apply it to all of your photos.
I will see if I can dig up the thread where I posted this example January 17th of last year. This was just an expression that uses index, valueAtTime and a slider to make one layer follow another.
Another approach to this problem would be to set up an image sequence with your photos in a pre-comp that was sized to the maximum size you want the photos to be and then use that pre-comp as a sprite or textured polygon in an app like Particular.

  • If you are looking for the Project Siena Functional Reference ...

    Hello,
If you are looking for the functional reference direct link
    http://siena.blob.core.windows.net/beta/ProjectSienaBetaFunctionReference.html

Hope you are refering it to the actual page, which you invoke for any cfm/cfc request then yes, its extension would be .cfm/.cfc page but if you are refering it to its corresponding encoded pages from {ColdFusion10}\cfusion\wwwroot\WEB-INF\cfclasses then its extension would be .class.

  • Any superduper iweb designers looking for a project??

i need someone who is really experienced with advanced html, and flash in conjunction with iweb to help me finish a site layout that i made.
below is a jpg of what i'm looking to do...
i want the "shell" (top banner/navigation area/mp3 jukebox) of the page to be preloaded and stay static.
i would like the "content pages"/text/photos to show up in the rounded edge frame on the left side.
this would require transparency so that the background would show through, and only the text, images and flash scrollbar would appear there.
i've decide to change the audio page to "store" and it will actually be links and thumbnails to where you can buy the album.
the video page will have pop-up flash based videos linked from thumbnails.
for the pics page i would like some sort of hip looking pop-up flash gallery.
under the info page among contacts, and links, i would like to have a guestbook link which would bring up a pop-up guestbook.
i realize that this is a lot of advanced stuff and that maybe iweb is not the best choice for such a design, but i really like the idea of being able to make updates to the news section and so on. iweb makes that easy(especially for me).
if anyone would be interested in working on this with me, i could send my iweb site files, as well as the fonts, images, and info/etc.
i'd be happy to pay someone a bit too.

I am not sure if what you are asking violates the Terms of Service for Apple's discussion boards. I do not think you are allowed to solicit work or try to hire someone freelance in these discussions.
I had also asked for help on redesigning my own site in these boards months ago and my post was immediately removed by the moderators. I assumed it was for that same reason.

  • Looking for a Motion 4 Variable speed tutorial

Here is something similar to what I'm looking for (Like Project 119, 152, and 154) at the following website ... http://www.motionvfx.com/store,lower_3rd,31,1,3.html
There's your solution, buy them. Then figure out how they were made after your need has been satisfied.
While there is nothing absurdly difficult about their templates, motionvfx charges good money because they've done excellent work. You could replicate several of the items for sale if you have many days to not only learn how to drive Motion's interface but to control its many nuances. It is in the subtle and skillful manipulation of the extensive controls and behaviors that allow the competent user to elevate their work beyond the pedestrian.

  • I am looking for direction on beginning a project.

Hello all, this is is a brief and likely frustratingly generic message.
It has been well over a decade since I have worked with Adobe products (I last built a web page with PS 5 and Macromedia Dreamweaver).
All of the new tools available to us are astounding but, for someone partially familiar with the tools but unfamiliar with the new workflows, the Creative Cloud can be daunting: there is simply so much.
I have two projects I would like to work on, the first is a blog that will incorporate videos of recorded shows, and host essays and writing on creative criticism, the second is a web page for a tutoring and academic writing service.
What I am looking for isn't a hand to hold while I do all of this, but a bit more specific a vector for where to begin my learning. I am used to the old method of designing, slicing, and fighting with pixels and tables, and having to manually set styles on static portions of web pages; CSS is a new ball game for me, as it was only in its infancy when I was doing this years ago.
Should I be using Dreamweaver, or Edge Reflow these days, if I am more of a designer/writer than an artist? What about Muse; though I find that Muse doesn't render graphics very well and content becomes blurry (like blurred 1px lines rather than crisp images like in PS)? I'd like to be able to repackage my blog in a mobile app one day, likewise for the tutoring service, but that one much farther down the road.
So, I guess, I've put on my blindfold, and am ready to pin the tail on the donkey, but I need someone to give me a spin first. I know there isn't much detail in this post, but I don't want to start rambling about things that don't really matter yet; but I do have the projects outlined and ready for green lights, so I can fill in more details as required.
    Best,
    Jared.

I only use Appleworks 6 to create documents. The printer is Photosmart 3200 all-in-one

  • I have an iPhone 4S, iPad and MacBook Air.  I'm looking for an app or program where I can track time spent of specific projects each day and also document details of each project.  Is there anything available that is synced through iCloud?

I have an iPhone 4S, iPad and MacBook Air.  I'm looking for a program or app that I can sync though iCloud that will allow me to us all of these devices to track time spent on projects each day along with the ability to add specific information about each project.  Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks!

I recommend you consider Omnifocus.  It is a task management program which runs on the Mac, Iphone & Ipad. I use it for task management and project management.  It let's you store additional information as well.   I sync all three devices through a Mobile Me account and I can enter data on any device and it is available on all devices.  I believe you can also sync through Dropbox.  I'm not sure that you can sync through iCloud yet.  The link to their website is:  www.omnigroup.com.  There may be less expensive alternatives, but this one meets my needs and syncs very well across all devices.

  • Looking for a "Super Project" feature

First, you will have to excuse me if this is the wrong forum for this. I just couldn't find any specific forum for Java project-build/management.
Now, I'm looking for some sort of a feature/ability/plug-in, especially for Eclipse, which resembles this:
Super projects - a combination of several projects under the same organizational structure. It doesn't refer to a new technology, nor a new feature of Java. It only refer to a way of organizing your projects.
A reason to have such thing, in case you were wondering, is to standardize the use of certain projects, all closely-related (technically and logically) to a certain system, but aren't related enough to exist in the same project.
For an example, let's say we have a certain system. It has a main project, which is the core of the system. Then, we have another project, which allows monitoring our system. It isn't a project that could be under the core-project, as it has too many differences (both technical and logical), but it uses lots of the same libraries, abilities and external resources the core-project uses as well (for example, a jar which allows a more comfortable use of JDBC, or just a configuration file), and of course still logically related to the core-project.
Therefore, those two projects, the core and the monitor, should be under the same super project - sharing libraries, abilities and external resources.
So how should it look like? Well, here are several ideas:
    - First of all, a certain way to view those projects as being under the same super-project.
    - An option (and warning-display if possible) of sharing jars. Instead of linking a certain jar to each project separately, a jar will be defined as shared, and could be shared by some or all of the projects in the super-project.
    - Same thing with any other file (such as resource files).
    - A meta-data file, containing information of which projects are in the super-project, what jars (or any other file) are being used, and what's the version of each of those jars.
    - Comfortable save/load of those projects together, and their shared files (nothing more then a super directory with "Projects" directory for the projects in the super project, and a "Shared" directory for all the shared jars and other files).
I'll repeat myself - I'm not talking about a new technology, but just a feature, or a plug-in.
So, are you familiar of anything resembling that? or something at least in production stage?

    EyalR wrote:
Well, I didn't figured how the idea of a super-project, or several combined projects works with Maven. I guess it's because this tool is filled with many options, and there's no good documentation that I've found which simply explains what's every thing is (or maybe I'm just dumb).Having just recently taken the dive into real development with Maven recently (I've been dabbling before), I too have the feeling that the documentation (especially for the rough overview and getting-into-it) is somehow lacking, in many areas. The documentation is much better suited for finding specific information when you already know what exactly you want it Maven to do.
That being said: I strongly suggest you invest the time to get over that first hurdle, because in my opinion it's definitely worth it.
Anyway, it seems I'm looking for something more simple and straightforward.Out of curiosity: If it should be simple and straightforward, what artifacts would you expect such a product/technology to produce? What would you use it for?
Maven uses that big pile of metadata about your project for building your project from source, managing your dependencies, deploying your artifacts to a defined repository, running your tests and many other things as well.
Having something "simple and straightforward" would almost seem like a waste of effort, because with that kind of meta-data you can do much bigger things.
Edit: I just remembered [Apache Ivy|http://ant.apache.org/ivy/]: it's a dependency-management task for ant. This means that it handles the same task of a (very small) subset of Maven, but it a lot simpler to use (if you already know and use ant). It doesn't do any sub-projects or anything like that, but might be a more gentle introduction into the world of post-ant build/project/configuration management.
