Looking for a 58mm protective or UV filter for a Canon Macro Lens EF using a Cannon MR-14EX Macro Ring Lite flash unit.
The lens has an external groove for the ring flash pawls, but filters I've found do not.  The external diameter of the filters does not allow the ring flash pawls to reach the lens groove.  I either need a filter with an external groove or one with no part larger diameter than the threads.  Any ideas?  Thanks, Tom

Which lens are you using?  This adapter will work, so long as the front element doesn't rotate.

  • Seeking a filter for an eMac display

Hello. I'm looking for an anti-radiation, anti-glare filter for the display/monitor of an eMac computer. Would anyone be able to suggest products and vendors? No store in my town seems to sell filters for CRT displays any more. Thanks.

The problem is really that you have introduced those resonances. What if the resonance happens to be at the same frequency as your desired signal? Then the resonance may get so large as to destroy the accelerometer! If the frequencies are close but not exactly the same, it becomes difficult to design a fliter which can adequately separate the signals without too much error on the desired signal.
The best solution is to modify the metal surface or the attachment method so that the resonance does not occur or else occurs at a frequency far removed form the desired signal frequency.
If that is not a possibility, consider adding a second accelerometer mounted in such a manner that it does not respond to the resonances but does respond to the frequency of the desired signal. Even if the second accelerometer does not accurately measure the amplitude of the acceleration due to its position, it may permit determination of the signal frequency.
Remember, the device you are measuring is likely also experiencing accelerations due to the resonances, so you may need to measure them.

  • Broadcast safe filter for DVD - or no need?

I'm getting a bit confused here and hoping someone can help here
I shoot with an EX camera and generally edit in 720 50p prores. My output is currently SD DVD and web.
Do I need to put a broadcast safe filter on or will the process of turning it into a dvd automatically clamp the levels for me.
I notice when using Colorista 2 the RGB levels are clamped at 100%.
If I were to use the FCP RGB limit filter would I achieve the same result
(I don't always like the broadcast safe filter as it gradually reduces the luma - Hard cut off is fine)
I think most people will watch my dvds on new HD LCDs or Plasmas. So I'm not too concerned about old CRTs.
    Any thoughts or advice
    Thanks steve

The company I go to for mastering suggests the RGB limit filter for dodgy shots and not the "broadcast safe" one, and I listen to them. By the way, I've been going there for years here in LA and Greg, the boss, will always "work with you" on price if you are an independent. I can give you the phone number if you wish. They are very helpful but I think it's kind of against the rules to give the appearance of advertising on this site.
Private message me if you want further info etc.
    Best wishes,
    Harry.

  • WMI filter working for some Windows 7 machines but not for others

I'm trying to use this WMI filter for our Windows 7 64bit machines:
select * from Win32_OperatingSystem where (Caption like "Microsoft Windows 7%") or (Version like "6.1%" and ProductType = "1" and OSArchitecture = "64 ビット") or (OSArchitecture like "64%" and ProductType =
    "1")
The reason there are three clauses is that we have machines in United States, Japan, and France. The first clause works for the United States, the second clause works for Japan, and the third clause SHOULD work for France, but doesn't.
I've run the query manually on the French machine using WMITest.exe (http://www.paessler.com/tools/wmitester) and it works. However, when I run a gpresult /r it shows that the GPO is denied
    due to the WMI filter.
Why is this happening for French computers only?

just a thought - is it due to localisation of the OS (fr-FR), and maybe the WMITest.exe is not honouring that?
maybe, on a French OS, open CMD, run wmic os get osarchitecture   ??
get somebody to give you a screengrab of that - just in case there's something funky going on.
(I don't work with multiple languages, so am not sure if localisation can cause your issue, but from your Japan example it looks like it might do so)

  • Any way to set color for value in chart and still filter out values (but retain colors)?

Is there any way that I can hard code a color into a chart and still filter out values?
I have 5 divisions, each with a specific color.  I have put them into a stacked column chart and it looks fine.  My issue arises when I try to filter out some of the divisions.  The colors do not stay with the specified divisions.
    Ex.)
      Div 1 = Red
      Div 2 = Green
      Div 3 = Black
When I filter out Div 1, this is what I see:
    Div 2 = Red
    Div 3 = Green
I have tried standard delivered filter panel, and check-boxes using CHART_1.setDataSelection( )
It seems like the color hard coding in the "additional" properties of the chart are not tied to the value, but are determined by sort order.  Any help is greatly appreciated

    Hi,
There is one Possibility bu not By chart .
It will look like chart but will use Text box .
Lets say you have 5 Divisions & 3 Key figures .
    Then You need 5 * 3 = 15 Text box .
Arrange them in 5 columns and 3 rows type of view .
    now .
set fix width for all .
set the height & position by coding
You need to set this type of code for filter selection also .

  • Error while creating function filter for SAP R3 destination

    Hi All,
I am using SAP Portal Add-in 1.0 Patch 3 for Visual Studio 2003 with SAP Portal Runtime 1.0 Patch 3 for Microsoft .NET and SAPDotNetConnector2.0.
Portal server is successfully added to my server explorer.SAP R3 system  destination is also added succesfully ,but when i create a function filter
for my destination function to add my RFC enabled function module it  gives me an error message "Missing R3NAME=... or ASHOST=... in connect_param in RfcOpenEx",but when i log into the R3 system from portal system ,I am able to log successfully.
please see the attached jpg file for your reference.
what should I do,plz help me.

    3 things:
    1. When you say "but when i log into the R3 system from portal system ,I am able to log successfully"... what do you mean exactly? Do you mean you tried to do a "test connection"?
    2. Make sure the portal user mapping is set to "user & password" and not SSO. In order to work with the destination in design time you need to have it set to User and Password. Later, for run-time connection you can change it to SSO.
    3. If number 2 failed, can you please click on the destination in the server explorer and look at the property grid for the connection string property? make sure it's correct (you can post it here if you don't know).

  • Where can I find a 17" desktop anti-glare filter for my iMac?

I checked a couple of sites that sell anti-glare filters. I'm trying to find one to fit my widescreen 17" iMac, however, both sites charged exorbitant prices, one $80, another $100. I remember ten years ago I was able to buy an anti-glare filter for my old Windows PC, but for some reason, neither the Apple Store, nor Best Buy sell them today. I need one because for the second time in two years, I had to get new glasses as the glare from my iMac is hurting my eyesight.

As I said, I don't think the result from putting a filter over the glass will be satisfactory, regardless of cost.
You may want to find an external matte screen digital (DVI) LCD that you find comfortable to look at, and connect it to your iMac as a second display. Then set System Preferences Displays pane so that it is your primary display (with the menu bar and dock on it). Put that display in front of you, with the iMac off the right as the secondary display. You can still use it (as you desktop extension); hopefully the "glare" will be less of a problem if you are not staring at it constantly. You can go up to 1920x1200 resolution for an external digital display, which is a typical 23 or 24-inch (measured diagonally) widescreen LCD display. I use my iMac that way, with an external display (that I really like) as my primary display and the iMac to the right as the secondary display. Note: It's to the right because putting it to the left blocks the optical drive.
Alternately, if the iMac is in good shape, you can sell it and put the proceeds toward a new Mac mini, and get a display that is comfortable for you.

What antivirus protection should I purchase for my MacBook Pro? MacSecurity.app appeared on my desktop, and I downloaded that. Since then, it has said my computer is infected and pop-ups have been appearing.

You've been infected by a scam trojan.  You don't need any anti-virus software on your Mac.  See the following about getting rid of the trojan.
    Trojan War
If you discover a trojan program is running on your computer then look to the following information for assistance:
    1. A recent discussion on the Apple Support Communities: MacDefender Trojan.
    2. An excellent site devoted to Mac Malware: Macintosh Virus Guide
    3. Another site for removing MacDefende, et.al.: MAC Defender Rogue Anti-Virus analysis and Removal
    4. A new removal utility - MacDefenderKiller
Removing strange software can be a task.  The following outlines various ways of uninstalling software:
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a Startup item or a Log In item.  Startup items are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the Delete [-] button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead.  Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Note that you must have this software installed before you install software you may need to uninstall.  Uninstallers won't work if you install them after the fact.  Here is a selection:
    AppZapper
    Automaton
    Hazel
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
Look for them and others at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQs on removing software and dealing with spyware and malware.
After removing all the components of the software you may have to restart the computer to fully disable the software.  This will be the case when removing software that has installed a daemon.  After the daemon has been removed you need to restart the computer to stop the daemon.  Alternatively, you can kill the daemon process using the Terminal application or Activity Monitor.

  • Performing filter for field Tax Code (MWSKZ) in the Purchase Order

    Hello Experts,
We have to perform a filter for field Tax Code in the purchase order (ME21N / ME22N / ME23N). We've tried to use SH SH_T007A and SSH_T007A with search help exit (e.g. F4_TAXCODE_USER_EXIT) but it is not working. The ABAP programmer has performed a debug and the standard does not check any line code in this function (the ABAP programmer has set a breakpoint into function F4_TAXCODE_USER_EXIT after assigning it for mentioned search helps)... it sounds like this program / search help is not called by standard program of ME2* transactions...
I've tried to look for some other object and other function called FI_F4_MWSKZ has been found... I've set a breakpoint there and when I open the search help for field tax code into transaction ME21N it works... but as I could see this function FI_F4_MWSKZ is a standard one which we can not change...
Have you ever had the same problem?
We are currently in the SAP 4.6C version. I've found lots of OSS notes but only valid for 6.0.
Maybe someone can help me on that.
    Best regards,
    Nilmar

    hi,
goto gs01 transaction, give some name to ur step.
give the table name and field name.
then u can create a specific value set for that field.
    save.
now u can use this set to define conditions for ur fields in obbh transaction.

  • How do you filter for photos with develop adjustments?

I wanted to put this information out there, because it was difficult for me to find an answer to the question of "how do you quickly filter for photos that have develop adjustments?"
Some earlier posts in this forum observe that a smart collection has the ability to filter files wherein "has adjustments" is "true." Yes, it can do that. And it can also add in a "date" parameter for more specific targeting. But it cannot simply say, "in the current folder," or "in the selected folder." And frankly, that's the exact situation when I need to filter down to the files I want: I'm in a folder—typically the current folder that I've just imported—and I've done a smattering of develop adjustments. Now, I want to quickly select just those images for export. Can't be done, not with a Smart Collection, anyway.
But Lightroom is nothing if not deep, and if you approach the problem from a filtering standpoint, it will eventually get you there—but the solution is very non-obvious. Expose the filter bar, with your favorite preset: camera info, default columns... it doesn't really matter. Hover over the header bar and to the far right will become visible the "add column" widget. Add a column. From the pop-up menu on the name will come a long list of options, the second-to-last of which is "develop preset." Once that's in place, click on "custom." Save your current settings as a new preset and give it a descriptive name like "adjusted images."
Now, when you're in your current—or any—folder, just click on "metadata" in the filter bar, and your custom preset will be in effect: any images that you've worked on will be selected. It's a fast, one-click selection.
If there's another way of doing this (keep in mind it's for the selected or current folder only), let me know. It's such a seemingly desirable action that I'm kind of astounded there's no built-in or easy or obvious way to do it... or that no photographer has requested it.

I am honored to have a response from Rikk "MVP" Flohr, and I do readily agree that your approach is one way to approach the issue. It puts the relevant images in a discrete area that is easy to access. However (this is where I look a gift horse in the mouth) I find "sorts" a bit underwhelming in comparison to "filtering." Two problems: first, the sort still does not 'clear your deck' of unwanted images. You still have to squint at the badges and carefully select the range at the top (or bottom). Mistakes can be made (and I would be the first to make them). Second, the sort command is "sticky," meaning that folder will always have that sort unless you undo it. In general, I think most photographers want to see a folder's images sorted by capture time, so they can easily glance to the beginning, middle, and end of the shoot. With my method, once you click out of the folder, the filter is taken away and you're back to normal.
I do understand that Lightroom wants me to flag my images with rankings or stars or colors or dancing beavers or what-have-you. But in this particular situation, that's an extra step. If I've applied development adjustments, it's already done. Why shouldn't I be able to choose "Select Developed Photos" from the Edit menu, right under "Select Flagged Photos"?

  • Cascade Filter for Hierarchy dimension

Hi experts, I try to develop a design Studio Dashboard with BW DS. I would like to create a cascade filter for the same dimension but in different levels from hierarchy. First filter would have upper level node of the dimension that will filter same dimension but in lower level values. First selector has manually added Items corresponding the Hierarchy nodes from Level 2. I didn't find how to get specific level of dimension node with function getMemberList(). I created a DS with Level 2 of hierarchy but when I get the values with DS.getMemberList("ZREP", MemberPresentation.INTERNAL_KEY, MemberDisplay.TEXT, "ALL")) I get all final values from last level node. There is a way to get specific values from hierarchy level with getMemberList() ? Once I get all list values from a level on REP_SELECTOR on click on the selector has the following script: DS_1.setFilter("ZREP", REP_SELECTOR.getSelectedValue()); SHOP_SELECTOR.setItems(DS_1.getMemberList("ZREP", MemberPresentation.INTERNAL_KEY, MemberDisplay.TEXT, "ALL")); Unfortunately shop_selector is showing all values from ZREP without any previous filter. Do you know what is wrong on it? Thank you very much

    Hi Oscar,
So let me explain a solution that will hopefully meet your needs.  A couple of comments before we begin.  Since you need to cascade through a hierarchy, for your first list selector it is not possible to use the standard Dropdown Box or List Box components because as you know, these must be populated with the getMemberList() method and this method does not return the hierarchy structure but only the member values (excluding hierarchy nodes).  So my proposed solution relies on using a CrossTab component as a selection list.  The benefit of this approach is that the hierarchy structure is preserved.
The application layout is as follows:
This example assumes that the selection in the first filter list populates (cascades) the second filter list and the second filter list selection filters the chart.  The first filter list selection does not also filter the chart but this functionality can easily be added if necessary.
    The steps are as follows:
    1.  The hierarchy has been set up as per your example, with a topmost root node and one level of text nodes below that.  The final level is represented by characteristics.  A screenshot is shown below:
    2.  Define two global script variables to represent the key value of the root node of the hierarchy as well as the standard member selection value for all members, as shown below:
    3.  Add 3 data sources to the application, all based on the same BEx Query, which includes the dimension (characteristic) that has the hierarchy, as shown below:
    4.  Add two CrossTab components and one Chart component as shown above.
    5.  Activate the hierarchy for the first data source DS_1 and set the default level to 2 as shown below:
    6.  Activate the hierarchy for the second data source DS_2 and set the default level to 2 as shown below:
    7.  Set the default members of the second data source DS_2 to represent the first level 1 group in the hierarchy as shown below.  This is required to ensure that the second list is populated with a default selection on startup.
    7.  Define the initial view of the third data source DS_3 in accordance with the requirements of the chart, as follows:
    8.  Assign data source DS_1 to the first CrossTab, assign data source DS_2 to the second CrossTab and assign the third data source DS_3 to the Chart.
    9.  Define the script for the On Select event of the first CrossTab as shown below.  The purpose of this script is to populate the second CrossTab based on the selection in the first one to cascade the filter.  Note that a selection of the root node is excluded to prevent duplication of the first level of the hierarchy in the second CrossTab list.
    10.  Define the script for the On Select event of the second CrossTab as shown below to filter the chart based on the selection:
And that's it!  Let me know if this gets us closer to what you're looking for.  We can then refine the approach as needed.
    Regards,
    Mustafa.

  • GZip Compression filter for Weblogic 11g.

    Hi,
I are using WLS 11g for our application development. I have identified and used PlanetJ gzip compression filter and its working fine in our dev environment. I am looking for alternate commercial supported gzip filter for wls.
Can anybody suggest a commercial gzip filter? Or PlanetJ gzip filter is a good one?. We excepect the application to scale up to 150 users and the filter selected should not be an issue for this. Also is there any official oracle/wls supported gzip filters available?
Any help on this is highly appreciated.
    regards

Thank you for the answer. But currently we are looking to including filter at WLS as the suggestion by you will involve lot of architectural changes. Could you please answer if any weblogic/oracle supported filter is avaialble for enabling compression at WLS.
    thanks and regards
