Looking for a calendar

I want to be able to make a list of tasks for the day without assigning them to a specific time slot, but that's not an option on my BB calendar.  First, can I add an app for a different calendar---seems like I read that the calendars are tied to your BB email address???  And can someone recommend a calendar that might suit my needs?  Keep it simple, please.  I am technologically challenged
On a side note, I had a Droid and am SO happy to be back to a BB, even if others (like my husband)call me crazy!

You don't have order iPhoto books, prints, etc. from the US if you're in the UK or Ireland. Those are printed in-country; you can see pricing here. So there may be VAT, but there won't be any import/release fees.
But as has been pointed out already, iPhoto is a Mac-only application. So unless you have access to a Mac you can use, you'll have to look for an equivalent application/service for Windows.

Looking for exchange calendar sync system to replace sucky groupcal.
I've had nothing but problems with it. I get duplicate calendars, duplicate calendar entries, and the daemon stops updating from the
then the support folks are threatening to cut off support and no longer help me to fix their broken code!
I wasted money and so much time on this app, is there anything else out there that does a better job?

Not to mention that it doesn't work with Leopard now! I wish there was a way to get my Exchange calendar to sync to a third party that would sync with iCal 3.0. Since there is not support for CalDAV it would be nice if Exchange would support this!

  • Looking for a Calendar w/ Management Tool

Hi, I am looking for a calendar creator that comes with some sort of Management Tool so that once I have adapted the code to fit a site, my clients can easily add events without messing with the code. Does anyone know of one or use one that they like?

  • Looking for planning calendar template?

Looking for planning calendar template in Illustrator?

    John,
You might try thinking outside your original box. While Numbers might give you a decent fix, you also might try a different program designed for just your project. I searched in the Apple Downloads for 'Inventory' and found a program called 'Home Inventory' (too easy, right?). Check it out here: http://binaryformations.com/
    Some features:
    --Nice user interface
    --Categorization by type, location, etc.
--Nearly unlimited photos can be associated with your items
--Ability to create detailed reports for your records
--Shareware: only $22 (try before you buy and record 25 items with trial)
I realize Numbers is a great program for many tasks, but I think that from the looks of it, this program will do a better job at your specific task.
If you really wanted to pursue the Numbers solution, you could go about your inventory using a Numbers table and then list the location of each photo (/Photos/Home Inventory/12345.jpg) in a separate column. That way, you have all the functionality of a sortable, searchable table with the convenience of the photos somewhere else (non-bogged-down file as you desire). Perhaps you could print your photos in a thumbnail view where the names are listed; combine the smaller pictures with your table and you now have an all-in-one record of your possessions. Backup both for security and you should be good to go. If you ever need an item photo, just find the corresponding photo name for the item on your chart and then easily find it in your Home Inventory photo folder.
Just my thoughts. Hope they help!

  • Looking for desktop calendar & contacts (not Outlook, Yahoo etc)

I just bought my first ipod Touch. I'm looking for a stand alone calendar and address book that will sync with my Touch. I don't want to use Outlook, Gmail, Yahoo or anything like that. I use PC's with Windows XP.

iPod works best using iTunes to sync.
iTunes on a PC syncs with Outlook.
I'm basically looking for an app that I can download onto my PC that is a calendar and address book (similar to a Palm desktop app). I don't want to be dependent on having internet access to see my address book and calendar.
Well, Outlook fits this. (I hate Outlook, but that is what iTunes syncs with on a PC.
You'd sync and you'd use Calendar and Contacts on your iPod. You would not need Internet access.

  • Calendar - looking for Palm Calendar ease of use

Has anyone found an iPhone Calendar Application that is as functional as the Palm phone Calendar standard (which is at least 12 years old & requires 1/3 the number of steps.)
I have been using a Palm phone for the past 10 + years - just bought a new iPhone, & hoping I won't need to also carry the Palm for my calendar...

    Welcome to iMovie Discussions.
For a bit of info on the Sony, see camcorderinfo here, and on the Canon, see here.
Hard-disc hi-def camcorders record video in AVCHD format, which has to be converted into a slightly different 'Apple Intermediate Codec' format during importing into iMovie, for editing. This works OK with fast, Intel-based Macs (..all the most recent models..) but will NOT work with older PowerPC-based Macs (two or three years old) unless you download a separate program called VoltaicHD (click here).
On slower Macs you may find that the import lags slightly behind the 'real time' movie, as the video is converted during the import.
Video from hi-def camcorders which record onto miniDV tape (instead of a hard disc or memory chips or miniDVDs) using the HDV mode (instead of AVCHD) can be imported straight into any older PowerPC-based Mac or a newer Intel-based Mac ..but, again, there may be a lag during import if using an older PowerPC-based Mac, but not on any current fast Macs.

  • Looking for a calendar for confidential appointments

    Hi,
I am getting ready to start a new job and the appointments that I will have will need to be kept very confidential.  I was wondering if anyone has see an app that is some kind of calendar that has a password on it.  I have iCal on my ipad however, that isn't password protected.  If there is a way to password protect it that would be great, but otherwise something that to keep out everyone but me on that specifc calendar.  I would prefer free but I know for something this specific it maybe hard to find, so I would be willing to pay for it.  Any suggestions?  Thanks!

You are going to need to take a careful look at options in the App Store (search on Calendar). There are some that appear to support a passcode, but it typically isn't a feature that is front and center. Read the descriptions carefully.
Have you considered simpy setting the passcode on the iPad?

  • Looking for Daily Calendar At-a-Glance App

I'd love to find an app that will post an alert to my iPhone each morning listing out my day's calendar events. Anyone know of one? For what it's worth, I have 4 active calendars in Calendar app.

I don't know of any apps like the one you want; however, there is probably something out there that will do the job. I did want to suggest Google Calendar, which will send you email and SMS reminders about events and things you have put on your calendar. You might already be aware of this, so if you are, just disregard. I just wanted to suggest it in case you weren't aware of it. I use it all the time, and it's very handy.

  • Looking for a calendar that syncs with my other iPad in the cloud?

I have tried numerous calendar/agenda programs, but none sync easily through the cloud with my other iPad.  Could be me being inept.  Trying to input appointments on my iPad at work and sync it with my iPad at home.  Appreciate any help.  Thanks  Peter

Isn't it just called 'Calendar' ?  The one with a red bar across the top.  If you've put other calendar apps on the phone take them off because they'll take over some of the functions of the Apple software and stop it working properly.
Make sure you're using the same account on both iPads.  For instance, you might have one connected to your 'work' account and the other connected to your 'home' account.
If you enter an event into an iCloud calendar using one device, and it's connected to the internet, it should quickly show up on all devices using the same iCloud calendar, as soon as they can connect to the internet.  If that's not happening, something is wrong with your setup.

  • Looking for a Calendar-of-events to use in Muse

I am designing a website for an organization that wants to include their training schedule in a calendar of events. My understanding is that Muse does not have that function at this time. Can anyone recommend a third party software that can accomplish this?

    Hello,
In case your website is being hosted on Business Catalyst, you can use the Events module from Adobe Muse to get a calender with schedule.
You need to create the events in Business Catalyst and use the module in Adobe Muse. This is what Adobe recommends. There is no third party software which is officially recommended to get this feature.

  • Looking for Yahoo Calendar Widget

    Hi Folks,
I can't find a yahoo calendar widget..I found one that does email notification and news, but not calendar.
I use Yahoo Calendar, but find that I don't use my yahoo home page as much since I switched to Mac from windows.
I can is not worth anything to me since it does not synch wiht my Yahoo Calendar, so would like to check and add to my calendar via the dashboard..
    any suggestions?
Or, do I need to wait for the next os next year to make my own widget?
    thanks in advance.

Unfortunately, there is no official or non-official Yahoo calendar widget. And now that Yahoo has it's own competing widget platform (which used to be known as Konfabulator), I think it's unlikely that Yahoo will release any new official widgets for Dashboard.
However, as you noted, you (or someone else) could certainly write one. You might want to ask at the forums at dashboardwidgets.com and see if a developer is up to the task.

Im looking for a calendar widget similar to androids. Don't want to use google gmail

So what exact features are you looking for?

  • I am looking for calendar plug in

    First thing:
    I am not a coder.
More importantly, I am looking for a calendar that I can use with Dreamweaver CS3.   I am looking for an events style calendar where visitors to a site can upload their events to a community based calendar.
It would be great also if the calendar had an RSS Feed available.
    Thanks

  • Changing the default data location for iCal calendars

Is there any way to tell iCal to pull its calendar data from a different location other than ~/library/calendars ? I realize that this would probably require some app hacking, but if anyone knows how it would allow me to create an incredibly easy and efficient sync solution that I'd be happy to share. This also goes for apps like Address Book, Mail, etc. All I need to do is tell iCal to look for its "Calendars" folder in, for example, ~/Desktop/Calendars

OK. Move ~/Library/Calendars to your new Drop Box. This will ('cos it is a separate volume) leave a copy in ~/Library, so delete the Calendars folder there.
In terminal you will need a command something like
    ln -s /Volumes/Drop\ Box/Calendars/ Library/Calendars
    A couple of notes:
the first argument after the -s is the "source" - the folder that is being linked to; the next is the linking file or directory
terminal provides some auto-completion, so type as far as the -s /Vo then press tab and it will fill in as far as the next /, then type Dr and tab again and it should complete the first arg (make sure there is a trailing /) then type the space and Li and tab and then you will have to type in Calendars yourself 'cos terminal can't guess what you want
the last Calendars don't get a trailing /
If it has worked and you use Finder to look at ~/Library/Calendars you should see (apparently) the normal set of calendar files in it. Make sure your Drop Box is read and write accessible by both users.

  • Looking for a 2014 InDesign calendar (full year) WITH holidays. Can't find one with holidays.

Looking for a "year at a glance" InDesign calendar WITH holidays. I can't seem to find any with the holidays. Thanks

    Screw it?
I sent you a link as to how to use Calendar Wizard (free) to make a calendar with interfaith holidays.
If you just want ordinary holidays, Calendar Wizard (http://calendarwizard.sourceforge.net/) does everything you want?
