Looking for a conversion
hello,
i'm looking for a cheap conversion software so i can convert my project to MWV
thanks

I guess "cheap" is a relative term, but this Flip4Mac software will do exactly that. You can export to .wmv straight off of a FCP timeline.

Adobe Captivate (.swf) to MOV? Looking for free conversion.
I have a client that has given me Adobe Captivate files... I downloaded the trial version and see that it will only output to .swf. I need to get these into QT to import to FCP. Any suggestions?
Thanks! You really want to talk to the folks who hang out at the Adobe forums. But try veriontracker.com (which has become part of the CNET monster) and just search for SWF convertors or transcoders.
Some SWF files are easily read by QT because SWF is a wrapper, similar to MOV, and many codecs, including H.264, are recognized by SWF players.

Looking for a java-based SDK that handles file conversion to PDF and TIF...
Hi all,
First off, this is my first posting so I'm not 100% sure where to post this topic. So please forgive me if I'm accidentally posting in the wrong location.
My question deals with a project I am currently working on.
I am looking for a java-based SDK that can meet the following requirements...
1) convert all printable file-formats (i.e. JPEG, DOC, TXT, PPT, etc.) into PDF
2) merge multiple PDFs into one PDF
3) convert PDF to TIF or at least do some sort of conversion to TIF
4) works in Java or some sort of web-based language
5) free or relatively cheap
Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much.I don't think you will get one API to do them all.
Some helpful hints:

Looking for help with converting a ppsx file to a video format such as .mov or mp4
Hi All, I am looking for conversion software that will allow me to convert a ppsx file to a video file on OS10.5.8.
Hi Klaus1, Thanks for your response. I can open and view the file without difficulty. My issue is getting into a video format that I can upload to a Website for client viewing. All the conersion products I can find are for a newer OS then 10.5.8. I am working on a deadline of midnight tonight-and cannot upgrade that quickly. So What I need is a conversion program that will still run on my OS

Looking for a stylish pdf viewer to integrate into muse site. Any suggestions?
Dear all,
I am looking for a stylish pdf viewer that i could integrate into a muse theme. I am after something that will give a similar effect to the page below.
http://adoreum.com/magazine/
Any suggestions would be most welcome. I have heard that it is possible to do this using InDesign, is this a red herring???
Many thanks in advance,
MartinNo. Not for PDF viewing. Most people will view PDFs either through an Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat web browser plug-in or via web browsers that have built in PDF viewers such as Google Chrome.
What you're seeing on sites like the web site link you posted is a conversion of the PDF to another format in a "flip book" layout, a format that doesn't require the site visitor to install any plug-ins. The flip book would either be in Flash format for desktop computer browsers or HTML5 for both web browser and mobile device compatibility.
One example is Flipgorilla: http://blog.flipgorilla.com/
It's a free PDF to HTML5 flip book creator. They even have a Wordpress plug-in. But I'm not sure how friendly its code would be to a Muse-based web site. -

Looking for a good group texting app. Any suggestions?
hey,
i'm looking for an app that lets me create a group and then have a group conversation with everyone in that group where we can all see the comments of other people. For example, if i need to talk to the family in a group conversation I want to create a group and call it my "my family" And type in "my family" when I want to do a group message. I need it to work on both iOS and android. I welcome any suggestions. Thank you!WhatsApp.

I am looking for an application that would allow me to open a word doc, and take notes in the .doc using a stylus pen. I'd then like to convert those notes to text, and then be able to copy / paste those notes into an email. Does this app exist? It seems like we were doing these same types of things with Palm Pilots years ago, one would think this would work with iPads?
I don't believe it will open a Word document, but Writepad allows for handwritten conversion of notes to text and then to email. Might help you some of the way...

Help needed: I teach neuroanatomy and am looking for an app that would allow me to use a stylus on the iPad screen to label diagrams in wordforMac or powerpoint format. Any suggestions?

What to look for in a video camera
i have an apple ibook 700 mhz with imovie....but ill be buying a mac mini within the next few months so i will then have idvd..what are some things that i need to make sure i look for in a video camera. like i dont want to buy something that isnt going to be compatible with my ibook/macmini. im assuming i want a mini dv recorder. any help is greatly appreciated thanks
... ah,we had that a while ago... no bookmark... hm?? :
* miniDV, no miniDVD/flashmem/whatever..
* firewire connected (all miniDV do so, some call it iLink or IE1394) ask dealer for a cable! (some manufacturers "forget" to include...)
* stay with the big brands, no exotic cheapos...
* I highly recommend Sony, pic & audio quality perfect! very good energy management ("stamina")
* in case you need: look for ext. mic plug-in
* in case you need conversion from analogue (beta, VHS, PSP..), look for analogue-IN
* spending BigBucks: HD is a nice-have, but besides playback to tape no other media in sight ("HDDVD")
* 3ccd has "better" pic quality, better lowlight/lowkey quality
* you shouldn't pay for any in-camera-fx (sepia, posterize, ...), you'll do that in iMovie...
* get hands-on experience in shop! some cameras are too small...
* set camera to 16bit audio (my Sony "prefers" 12bit - NoGo with iApps)
* get a tripod -

The problems you describe are likely to have been caused by garbage software of which "TechTool Pro" is only one example. That system has been altered from its factory configuration through the installation of several third party system modifications, any one of which can cause poor performance. Interaction between two or more is another possibility. Running a torrent client is another way of inviting malware intrusion.
Safe Mode or "Safe Boot" is a troubleshooting mode that bypasses all third party system extensions and loads only required system components. Read about it: Starting up in Safe Mode
You must disable FileVault before you can start your Mac in Safe Mode.
Starting your Mac in Safe Mode will take longer than usual, graphics will not render smoothly, audio is disabled on some Macs, and some programs (iTunes for example) may not work at all.
Merely starting your Mac in Safe Mode is not intended to resolve the problem, it's to observe its performance without certain additional components.
To end Safe Mode restart your Mac normally. Shutdown will take longer as well.
