Looking for a fade out only transition

Is there a fade out transition that only fads out, and not in? I want to put one at the very end of my movie so that when it ends it fades out instead of just cutting off fast. I saw there is a fade in/out transition but that requires it going betwee n two clips. Thanks.

Just place a regular dissolve at the end at whatever duration you need. Or keyframe the opacity.

  • Looking for appropriate TV-Out cable

Hey guys... I lost my tv-out cables in a recent move.  Looked all over for them, but they're gone.  The card that these fit is an XFX 7900GT.
I really have two options.  The first, preferred option is to get a new 7-pin tv-out cable.  I have found one that would be perfect.  Unfortunately, it ships out of England.  (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI … arProducts)
I can't find this particular piece on any other website whatsoever.  I've been looking for something similar (Obviously, I don't want to spend a lot of money having this thing shipped only to not have it work), but so far have had little luck.
The other option is to use a DVI-D converter, but most only go to HDTV component.  Unfortunately, I don't have an HDTV.
However, I do plan on buying an HDTV at some point in the future, and would like the cable to support both RCA and Component (as the cord above does).
Has anyone seen anything such as this anywhere available from a US retailer or e-tailer?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try setting tv out as the default accessory and then try it out.
As far as I know Nokia has only one tv-out cable and that's the ca-75u which should be the same one you're referring to. Push the cable in firmly and make sure it goes all the way in. I have two cables and with one of them i have to take the cover off my phone for it to go all the way and work
Show your appreciation. Hit that kudos button real hard

  • Looking for HP Basic Driver only for hp 2610 all-in-one printer

I have windows 7( Just recently installed) and a HP 2610 all-in-one printer.
I just wanted to download the printer driver only and not the HP Photosmart and office software Suite.
This webside say the printer driver only is availble as a separate download named "HP Deskjet Basic Driver"
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=mp-76831-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...
But I cannot locate the webside for the Basic driver only for Windows 7 OS. Can somebody locate the web address of "HP Deskjet Basic Driver" for me please.
    Regards
    Tech

I just tried using Notepad as you suggested and had the same result.  Paper feeds in stops at proper place and error message "out of paper"
I just put in two new HP ink cartridges because the other two were low and I was told that this might be the problem.
I seem to remember that the HP 2610 shows 2 "ink icons" in the lower left corner.  One for black and one for color.  The ink icons would change from completly full to just an outline as the amount of ink went down.  Currently the black ink icon is missing
This is a very frustrating problem because the printer works great after doing a few steps to get around the problem.  The fact that the problem reoccurs any time anything is changed is the major problem
Most of the problems started when I added the printer to the Windows 7 virtual machine so I could work with Windows XP programs.  This may just be a coincidence because the printer still has the same problems when I use the copy function without the computer even being on.
I want to thank you for all of your efforts.  Perhaps this is a unique problem that will never be solved and it is best to take my losses and buy a new printer.  As a last chance, if possible, could you refer my post to someone who is an expert with the HP 2610 printer.

  • Custom fade out/in transitions????

I used to be able to overlap the end of one clip with the beginning of another clip in FCE, use the pen tool to add edit points to the video and audio and create custom fade outs/fade ins. I could get very precise results by adjusting the video and audio at separate areas. How do I do this in FCP X?

You can do it in FCP as well. The video audio fade handles are built into every clip. For audio it's in the timeline.
For video you open video animations for a clip Control-V and double click opacity.

  • Looking for the classic "Bad Take" transition.

My problem is, I don't even know what the proper technical search terms would be for this. So let me describe.
You've seen the transition effect countless times where someone on camera makes a mistake and the screen goes black (or white) for a split second and you hear a short (a fraction of a second) "BEEP," to signify that what follows is a retake. It's a comic effect.
Is it an electronic clapper tone?
It may be the same tone you hear when at the beginning of old films, you'd see the clock hand sweep around a huge 5, 4, 3, 2... and at each one, there'd be a "BEEP"
I think I just need the tone. I can add a solid black or white still for the visual part. I tried looking through my iMovie/iLife files and didn't see anything. I also tried Freesound.org
    Any ideas?

and in addendum (searching for the right english expression):
it is not a plain fade-to-white, but a socalled light-leak
(as if the 'film' was taken out of camera)
it's a bit complex, therefor a commercial product, as

  • [iphone] how to do a fade out/in transition on switch to landscape

In my app when I switch from portrait to landscape I completely change the view. Right now it does the normal animated transition from portrait to landscape and then paints in my new view. This looks kind of stupid.... so what I want is when I switch to landscape it fades in the new view w/o the standard animation.
    here's my current code:
    - (void)didRotateFromInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)fromInterfaceOr ientation{
    NSLog(@"done rotating");
    ChartController* chartController = [ [ChartController alloc] initWithNibName:@"ChartView" bundle:nil ] ;
    NSLog(@"chart view pushed");
    NSLog(@"parent view contorller = %@", self.parentViewController);
    self.navigationController.navigationBarHidden = true;
    [[self navigationController] pushViewController:chartController animated:NO];

Try using willRotateToInterfaceOrientation:duration: instead. The documentation says:
You may also implement this method to swap the view if it should be different for landscape as compared with portrait orientation.

  • Looking for a list of Video Transitions(not effects)

Hello, I'd really like to find a list of Transitions similar to this list so that I can print and study it. Make note, etc. There doesn't seem to be an equivalent. While this one implies that it deals with Transitions it really only has the transitions effects pieces. There are  some 50+ actual transitions that are available in all the folders. I'd think there would be some references to these in the help system, but right now I am unable to find them.
    Thanks!

Hi Ann  Thanks for that. I did come across that list too. There is a wiki site started also that has bugn to show how each works too. That's what I'd love to create for the entire list with a thumbnail as a visual   When I have time!

  • - Looking for element Fader script...

Anyone know where I can find a script that will allow an
    element (table,
div, image or other) to fade in at a controlled rate? I'd use
    it for nav
menus (making a table or a cell light up progressively on

    Thanks!

Have a look at this page:

I'm not sure this covers everything you want, in fact
    probably doesn't,

    idea where I
got it from, but perhaps it can help.

  • Looking for inverter pin out on G4 20" logic board side

regardless, I need a picture or detail of the inverter connector on the logic board side for an iMac G4 1.25ghz (usb2.0). I have found grainy pics on the net but nothing where I can tell what color is what pin. I need to figure out where the yellow and orange wires go. I believe yellow tells the inverter to turn o or off and the orange is for brightness control.
If anyone could help me out it would be great.

Did you have access to a service tech's view of the iMac G4 Service Manual in pdf?
Not sure if there is an image in there large enough or of the correct junction to help.
Since I haven't looked closely at the logicboard in my iMac G4s, I'm not sure what
the detail would look like. The iMac 17" 1.25 USB 2.0 is very similar in build; other
than the graphic support, display size, weight, and perhaps power supply output.
If a service manual would be of help, email me. I may be able to allow you access
for a limited time if that could help. The whole file is in pdf & is about 16.8MB, if you
have a gmail or other high-ceiling mail, someone could send just one image to you.
Well, maybe I could get a snap of the correct page if I knew what it was exactly
and did a screenshot of a portion; the actual file won't upload, a sample pg may.
I don't see a detailed image in my pdf service manual...!

  • Looking for Desktop image, can only find alias, which is broken

    Hi,
I'm trying to find the file that is currently set as my desktop wallpaper.  I've looked in ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist and found a file name that looks right, DSCF0038.JPG.  The path itself is pretty scrambled (see below for full string) but using 'find' in Terminal I came up with a path for an alias with that name.  Unfortunately the alias is broken.  Assuming all the steps I've taken so far are correct I should be able to access the file somehow; the desktop does.  Any ideas?

    Hi Mike,
    Os it here?

    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Safari/Safari Desktop Picture.png
But could be .gif or a few more as far as extensions.
Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
    Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

  • Looking for better "transitions" plug ins

Hi, I just bought the Photoshop elements and premiere Elements 9 package. Problem is that I am a simple guy who makes a lot of video movies for my work and I just want a very simple "fade in" type transitions to merge my video clips. The ones supplied are to "busy" and are a distraction in my humble opinion. I didn't feel I should have to Up grade or purchase this one simple fade or "cross fade" after spending my $150.00 I did Google free transitions and found the Burgers page that had exactly the transition I was looking for. http://http://www.burgers-transition-site.de/downloads/transitions/transitioncrossfade.htm l
I down loaded it and tried to add it to my existing library of transitions but it couldn't read the codex?  How can I get this simple transition without spend more money? Thank you, Greg McCord

The standard disslove or cross fade that comes with PE9 I would thought would achieve what you want.
You can either have it before or after the break line or equally straddling it.
Simply insert a break line and just drag the effect to the break line.
There is another way that you don't need any 'effects' but gives you complete control of the transition.
When you want the audio to fade differently to the video I put a break in the video and drag the after part up to the second video track and drag it a little earlier by the length of the fade or disslove.
Then right clicking on the clip I select fade in and out on the top track and modify the yellow lines in the tracks to get the right timing.
Example. You want to remove a complete sentence in an interview. You insert a dots in the lower audio yellow line and quickly fade out the audio before the transition starts to remove the first word of the unwanted sentence but leave a bit of video. Then dissolve or wipe to the next sentence to signify that you have deleted something rather than have a jump cut.
If you look at some of my finished timelines it looks like a castle with every scene alternating on tracks 1 & 2.

  • Can't fade in fade out in iMovie?

I am now on my new mac mini using iMovie 10.0.6 and don't see the option to fade in - fade out in transitions.  Is there an earlier version of iMovie that works on yosemite that still has those transitions?

    Hello IntuitiveOne,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that you are looking for different transitions in iMovie 10.0.6, specifically the fade transition. To change the style of a transition, please refer to the link and instructions below.
    Modify transitions - iMovie Help
With your project open in the timeline, select Transitions in the Content Library section of the sidebar, below the Libraries list.
To preview a transition, skim it in the browser.
Browse transitions to find the new transition you want to use.
Drag the new transition to the transition icon  for the transition you want to replace in the timeline.
The new transition replaces the old one.
    Have a great day,
    Joe

  • Looking for stock 3D models

    Hi everyone:
I don't know much about 3D models so I might be formulating my question incorrectly (for which I apologize). I'm looking for a wireframe (mesh) only 3D models (RPF or RLA files), and I was wondering if they are provided somewhere as basic/stock 3D files?
Here's an example of what I'm looking for (as a 2D screenshot):
    http://www.ivansanchez.com/blog/sentinel/zetaplusa.jpg
    http://www.foro3d.com/tutoriales/blender/blender-art-magazine-3d/blender-art-magazine-11/N urbs-Cad_files/File_048.jpg
I need it for some (semi transparent) effect of a 3D object rotating in the background that will be largely zoomed in so I'm not very picky what that object will be.
    Thank you in advance!

    Den,
If you aren't picky on what it is, as it will be zoomed in quite far -- you can just make another composition of a wireframe globe, or anything with the find edges effect, with others, and then scale it up, make it 3d, render in master composition, and fly around it.
Or proxy to it, render it out with camera in that composition and then drag the rendered footage into the master composition.
This might save you some money on buying a model.

  • Looking for Thunderbolt 2 RAID Array options that can match the new Mac Pro's quietness -- or at least come close!

Maybe it is too early to talk about anything beyond the Pegasus2 Series (http://www.promise.com/promotion_page/promotion_page.aspx?region=en-global&rsn=1 00) when it comes to Tunderbolt 2 storage options. Looking for something on the order of 8 to 12 usable TB of redundant storage or possibly a JBOD option of 4 bays. This is coming close but I do not think it is Thunderbolt 2 (http://www.g-technology.com/products/g-raid-thunderbolt).
Either way -- looking for users experience not only on usable Thunderbolt 2 solutions but more importantly noisiness. I want to upgrade my existing Mac Pro to one of the new ones and I have found the old one to be nearly unnoticable in a quiet desktop environment. Would love to find the same peace and quiet when migrating to the new form factor that is going to need external storage to match what I have been used to inside the old Mac Pro.

Not your quiet storage, but then I would put it in a cool closet or small room off to the side :-)
http://www.macgurus.com/store/Item/ARC8050 ( I was assuming but maybe not, that it would support RAID6 which is always preferable for larger arrays. Seems to have most features you want for 8 drives). MacGurus "Burly" are never quiet but they are rugged and well tested.
Migrating storage will be a concern. I don't like the noise from my older SATA OWC dual-drive metal enclosure though suppose to be 'acceptable' unless they have improved the fans they are out for me.
    OWC for Thunderbolt products.
Helios enclosure (the new dual-slot Helios PCIe chassis)
… moving various hard drives into Thunderbolt cases
    USB3 hard drive enclosure.
For those without eSATA enclosures, a simple eSATA to USB3 adapter might do the trick.
USB3 is plenty fast to house two hard drives.

Available now starting at about $430.
