Be sure to also get the earliest manual possible. The IOS 5.1.1 manual includes IPads that had cameras,so you'll have to combine the two manuals.

Looking For A Good Book Or Manual for Photoshop Elements 3.0

Photoshop Elements 3.0 is my very first photo editing program and am looking for a book that will show me how to use all of the features. Comments on the following 3 books would be greatly appreciated.

I use it often. not everyday, but there is always some little command or procedure that you can't remember

I use them both, but the onscreen help a little more often. Some times I like to walk away from the computer and sit on the couch and read the manual, just to have a change of scenery

Things that Logic has and you won't find in other programs, like explaining the environment in more detail. how to make better use of transformers. The Transform window could be explained more clearly.

I didn't use it, although it looks great, I went right into the reference manual. I did look at the tutorial song, which was nice cause it gave me some hands on experience with moving things around

Logic is different that other DAW's. Logic's way of doing things may seem real strange to someone who came from using another program. as I said before, spend more time on things that are only found in Logic, like the environment. It really frightens some people.
Many of the questions here in this forum are midi related. people seem to be having a real hard time making midi work in Logic. The manual could be more detailed in explaining midi communication and how the environment is the heart of all of this

Provided manuals and a lot of trial and error. Also forums such as this are a great asset

No, logic's manual is as good as most others.

For me it was the transform window, it took me a while to get the hang of it. none of the other programs I worked in had anything quite like it.

there are a few errors, so it is frustrating when you are following the manual but not achieving your goal. For example, page 112 says:

The ~/Library/Application Support/Logic/Logic Resources/Icons folder can contain icons which are only valid for the particular user (~ is the user name). If you save your icons in the root directory—/Library/Application Support/Logic/Logic Resources/Icons—the icons are valid for all users. If icons with identical numbers exist in both folders, the icons found in the user folder have priority.
But this is not the case, they actually go in /Library/Application Support/Logic/images/Icons
there was a couple other mistakes like this too, but i can't remember right now

If you wanted to get into doing video tutorial, that would be cool. there is a web site called atomic learning http://www.atomiclearning.com/ they have quicktime video tutorials for a ton of different software applications, some apple, and for a flat fee of 79.99 for a year you can spend as much time as you like learning all of the software applications. I may sign up to learn Web design, and maybe final cut pro. Apple could do something like that for all of the apple software and do it much better I would think, and you guys would make a fortune. well I guess not compared to the fortune you are already making

TS1702 how do I find apps for the Ipod version 3.1.3 for the Ipod touch in Itunes?! Is there no more apps for the first gen Ipod? I've tried and tried and googled and can't find a single app that will install on this old Ipod. Please help!

I recently had an Ipod first gen with Ios 3.1.3 fixed and am in need of finding games for my son to play, but I cannot for the life of me find any games or any apps that can be installed on this Ipod! every time I download something and try to install it, Itunes keeps telling me that the app requires a newer Ios! There isn't any new Ios version for this ipod that I can find. Itunes won't install any newer version of Ios, and no new apps can be found that can be installed. Please help me.

Cover for iPad first gen

I had to have my iPad 1 repaired recently because of damage to a corner- the leather cover I have does not protect the corners?I'm trying to find a soft rubber or cover- there are plenty for iPad 2 ,3, etc but one it seems for first gen

What happened to the 8800 GT upgrade cards for the first-gen Mac Pro?

I have a first-gen Mac Pro (System Profiler says model identifier is "MacPro2,1" which I think still makes it a first-gen model), and I was considering upgrading to the 8800 GT so I could take advantage of OpenCL, since the 7300 GT I have is not supported, according to Apple's page. ( http://www.apple.com/macosx/specs.html )
However, I can't seem to find the card anywhere on Apple's store site, or anywhere else, for that matter. Does anyone know what happened? Can I still buy the 8800 GT for my Mac Pro? If not, what OpenCL-compatible card can I upgrade to? Apple only seems to have the ATI X1900 XT in their store.

I am following the steps to the tutorial: Developing J2EE application using EJB, Struts, JSP and ADF Databinding.
JD10g does not bring up the New Gallery as the step labeled: Reverse engineer tables as CMP beans instructs.
How can I can if my install in correct?

Are you talking about going to apple.com using Internet Explorer? Because I just opened the manual with my MacPro and it works fine.
Perhaps there is a problem with your Adobe Reader installation on your computer.

I had setup Application Streaming with SCCM 2012, unfortunately performance was not comparable simply due to the fact that it take a little while for the SCCM Client to kick into action itself, which obviously has to happen before the App-V applications

Looking for Mac and 8703e users

Hi, I've just run into a problem regarding downloading an Alltel software update to my 8703e. It can only be done on a Windows machine. I tried it via Parallels, but the usb connection doesn't seem to work. Aside from spending another hour and a half downloading software to someone else's computer, I would like to know if there is another way. It seems that Alltel does not understand that Mac users have Blackberrys as this no the first snafu I've run is it an RIM issue? There should be a way via Missing Sync or Pocket Mac to get the update to Mac users. Thank you!
