Looking For A High Quality Connection For My Touch And My Navigation Syst.

Hey Everyone,
I have an AVN-7000 Eclipse navigation system in my car. It has several different inputs for things like ipods and video games. I'd like to know which is the best to use and if there are products out there yet for hooking my touch up to my deck. I know there is an "AV Input" which I assume is RCA, there is also optical and coaxial inputs, too. I want both the audio and the video to be sent to the unit. Just want to know which one I should use in order to get the best quality, and if there are products out there yet. Thanks in advance for you help!

Isn't there something that could convert the signal coming out of the ipod to optical? There are all kinds of docs that allow for HDMI output and stuff like that. Although I agree that the ipod touch doesn't have optical out, I think there might be a way to convert the digital out to optical. Is that wrong? Thanks for your help.

The hard drive on my MacBook died and I had it replaced. I can't locate my website files and every time I try to open my idisk it looks for a name and password (even reset my apple id as prompted) I keep being told that it's the wrong name or password?

The problem is that I have to enter a string of that type (any random string), and the program should go and calculate the result for the whole stirng, by looking at which parts to calculate first (figuring out precedence), second, etc. This is like a calculator, you don't know what the user is going to enter next, so I can't just use the boolean palatte. I could use it if the equation was always of the form "a 'operator' b", where the operator is any logic or comparison operator. But that is not what I am trying to accomplish.
Can you do logic in the formula node? I think it only allows numeric values for inputs and outputs, it doesn't let you enter in and output booleans and stuff..does it?

Would you know how to change de location where iMovie looks for its projets and events ?
I want to put those on an external disk.

You must do this within iMovie.
In iMovie, click VIEW/GROUP EVENTS BY DISK
This will show all properly formatted external disks (must by HFS+ journalled, not FAT32)
Now you can drag your Events to the disk by dragging and dropping the Event Name to the icon of the disk in the Event Source List in iMovie.
You can also move projects. See iMovie Help for details.

I need restore a couple of my ipod and I also need to download the 3.0 for my ipod touch. my problem is that im out to sea and when I get to about 170mb it fails and I have to start all over. 1st question why in apple's infinate wisdom did they not allow you resume download and 2nd is there a way to restore without having to connect to the internet?
I bought the 3.0 for my touch and it frustrating because i will have been running the download for 5 hours and to have it fail *****.....

That's probably more to do with your internet connection than any problem with Apple's servers, otherwise other people would be suffering the same. Maybe you need to try again on a more reliable and faster internet connection when you can.

If you pause the download in the download queue you can resume it.
2nd is there a way to restore without having to connect to the internet?
The restore process does not need a connection to the internet, but obviously you need an internet connection to actually download the update before restoring commences.

I am flabbergasted!
A BIG company like Creative working with a Firmware for secure "music" files for 2 month and then don't deli'ver "audible" ready files at the same time?
(if Creative don't know, Audible books are almost a must on a MP3 player now a day and if not supported the player is absolete)
It is said in another thread that Creative don't have any income from making firmware and therfore we can't expect them to do so.
What a missunderstanding!!!
Firmware is one of the most lucrati've tools Creative have, and if not done, one for the most damaging tools they have for future sales.
Let say they put out a couple of firmware upgrade each year. Listen to the customer and try to give them what they want or make sure that the player work like it is supposed too.
Well in dooing this they have a big global customer base praising Creatives name to friends and relati'ves, and it's most likely that Creative's products will be on their next shopping list.
Do it the "Creative" way...let it go 2 month...let your customer have as little as possible and tell me that this is the way to go.
I tell you:::: the same customer base tells friends and relati'ves that this company are " not customer friendly" they might have some good product, but don't expect to much if it don't work. Creative products will almost ceartain not stand on my next shopping list!
Who will now say that developing firmware don't pay off? You have to use millons in ads just to try to repair some of the damages done by lacking of support.

The only one to blame is Creative management, if they don't know how customer relation work, then they make take a course!

Yea, looks like that, but in dooing it this way they are on defence. Defence gives few happy customers because they have to ask and ask agein. When it comes the customer take the credit for it and Creative are just sitting with the blame.
If they on the other side try to figure out what is popular in the current situation, try to give their customer this, they are on "attac" situation.
This way customer will praise "the company" and feel that it takes care of it's assets. A big customer base with happy customers (never all, can never be managed) is a great asset to any firm and specialy if you like Creative want to make many diffrent models of the same product, because it's her you find the customers that always are on look for the newest and most popular thing and that is what these customer make an item, or destroy it.

If you restored to factory settings/new iPod and still have the problem that indicates a hardware problem.
Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store..
If your iPod is defective and not abused Apple will exchange it at no cost.

Was your wife logged into the libray at the time you tried to log in? I have had a similar problem and it was because another user was logged into the library when I attempted to. I got the permission denied banner.

You seem to understand it. I believe that when you tether, you have a separate allowance (I believe mostly it is 2GB) aside from your normal data balance. When you tether, it automatically uses the 3G to tether, not the wifi and the data will be subtracted from your tethering allotment. When you use data on your phone, it is subtracted from your normal data allowance (the pool not reserved for tethering) but only when using 3G. If you are on wifi on your PHONE (not tethering) it won't subtract. Hope that sort of makes sense.
