Looking for a .ISO player

I am looking for a .iso player that will play all the movies contained in a
single .iso image file. VLCMediaPlayer will only play the first movie. You
wind up with more than one movie if you have ripped a DVD that has, for
instance, move than one episode on it.
Steve

Use DaemonTools to mount your *.iso as a virtual disc or use e.g. WinRAR to extract all separate files.

  • Looking for a MP3 player for audiobo

I am looking for an mp3 player that meets these requirements. Creative Labs lists like 50 mp3 plays and no easy way to compare features. So does anyone know if anyone sells anything with these features:?- bookmarking: where I can 'save' a place in a audiobook and go listen to other stuff and come back to where I left off. The 'resume' feature on some devices is not adaquete because it assumes I don't want to listen to anything else. Other devices require me to search through hours of a book to find where I left off. I need something that let's me mark a place and return when I want. - FM feature: because sometimes I want to listen to the radio and not my downloaded music or books!?- flash based: because it's lighter weight, no hard dri've to break (gb flash or upgradable flash card insert is fine)?- removable regular batteries: so that if the batteries go bad, i can get new ones and not ship it off to be opened by someone else?that's it!? is that so hard?!
    Please let me know
    !!! [email protected]????

portrower8,?Do a search at the top of the page for audiobooks. They have been discussed frequently.?First, you are asking for a flash player, so that limits your choices. For audiobooks that you download from NetLibrary or Overdri've, I would only use one?WITHOUT ?PlaysforSure subscription firmware. That way, the electronic library books?never expire, until you delete them yourself.?I prefer to keep my audiobooks separate from my music. I love the Zen Nano plus GB or the 52MB. These days you can buy the GB for $65-70 from Amazon or Creative. These players can hold four or fi've?audiobooks. Granted they don't have bookmarking as such, but you just?do a pause and?turn it off and the?player starts up where you left off.?Just remember if you buy a bigger flash player with subscription ability for your music, any electronic library audiobook will expire?after 2 days. Are planning on just buying all your audiobooks? Have you checked into the new Zen V and?Zen V plus to use for your music??Best wishes, luvmyrescuedogs

  • Please Help - I am looking for an mp3 player that has the following features

Hi, I am looking for an mp3 player that has the following features:
    1) Either a 30GB or more HDD, OR a sd OR a micro SD card slot for a 2GB card. (Note, I can buy an adapter so my sd cards fit into a compact flash slot. However, I did look at the Zen Vision M but I didn't see how to delete tracks from?my playlists.)
    2) I need to be able to delete tracks in my playlists that I create in Windows Media Player (.wpl or .m3u format).
    3) I need to be able to copy these updated playlists back to my pc, either with the usb cable or SD / microSD card.
Which products meet my needs? I li've in California, USA.
    Thanks,
    Rick

Thanks! I did not know that. I have been looking for an mp3 player for a long time & did not realize the one I wanted was right in front of my nose! [ at Walmart]

  • Looking for MP3 Loop Player

I'm looking for an MP3 Player for my 8320 that plays loops accurately and seamlessly: it needs to play the entire MP3 and immediately starts playing it again when it reached the end, repeating the process indefinitely, without any gaps or split-second pauses during playback.
    Any suggestions?

did you check the options for your Media application? there are repeat modes.
you can also create a playlist (on your desktop, it's easier) that contains several times the same file.

  • Looking for a Music Player App with FTP

I've been looking for a App that will play/stream  music files from
a FTP site (or personal cloud)
anybody seen an App  that does this?
    thanks!

Most cloud music players will only access their cloud folders, not
    an indépendant FTP folder.
I did find one that kinda works - DeadOn Player.
    but it's buggy and crashing.

  • Looking for a music player app for the ipad

Musician looking for music player app to play my sound library
    Folders, set lists......ect.....
Must be able to automatically pause between songs, not like iTunes where you have to manually pause
I have to time to manually pause between tracks since i use this for my live performances.
    All thoughts and advice welcome
    Doc

Try making a 5 second blank .mp3 file or however long you need your pause to be between songs, then create a playlist and insert the blank .mp3 between each song. Just a thought to help save some money.  I believe the DJay app allows this though, but you might want to ask the developer on their website before purchasing just to verify.
    Good luck,

  • Looking for a music player with a very specific feature

I've been looking for this ever since I completely left windows behind, and six months later, it's killing me that I haven't found the right music player.
Obviously, I used to use foobar2000. The greatest thing about it for was the 'facets' extension which added customizable filter panels. The MOST GREATEST THING about it was that you could combine directory and tag sorting, which means I could sort my REDICULOUSLY HUGE music library by Folder/Folder/Album, which corresponded to Genre/Artist/Album. For various finicky little reasons, sorting it by folder was much more effective than by tags.
Does anyone know any media player which allows this?

Hi, I was a foobar2000 user too. It was driving me crazy that I couldn't find a good replacement, but i've found one. It's quodlibet. Unfortunately right now it's not possible to do Folder/Folder/Album in the panels, but QL has a 'filesystem view' for this. Other than that it can do the good stuff:
    - freeform tagging
    - freeform filtering
It means that you can set whatever tag you want to and then put it in the panels, song list or search bar. It has conditional tags too. For me it was Genre/Style/<albumartist|<albumartist>|<artist>>/Album, but I do not use the panels anymore. I do not have to see my library everytime I play some music. These days I'm using the Album List with the search bar and doing stuff like &(style=goa,#(playcount<1),#(discogs_votes>=50),#(year <= 1998)) makes my day. Replaygain with auto-select between 'track' and 'album' based on current view and play order is a neat feature too. ;-)

  • [SOLVED] Looking for an audio player; specific requirements

I've searched around and can't really find what I'm looking for in an audio player(though Audacious and Exaile come close). What I need is one with these aspects:
    - Based on GTK+
    - Relatively lightweight
    - Skinnable
I'd like something with a look similar to the Winamp "modern" skins, rather than the classic ones, but I can't find anything like this for Linux.

    This makes your request impossible.
Nothing's impossible... creativity is key. I you can't achieve the look you're looking for natively, either code something yourself or look into running winamp through wine (here's an article on running winamp through wine if you're feeling lazy).

  • Looking for simple movie player

I am looking for a very simple player with the following characteristics:
    * all mplayer keyboard shortcuts (I imagine some kind of mplayer wrapper application)
    * buttons for play/pause + scrollbar/progressbar + mute + volume
    * ONE dialog with: path to a movie, path to a subtitle, choose subtitle encoding, subtitle font (eventually)
    THAT'S IT, nothing more.
Codeine is close to being a perfect simple movie player, but the subtitle thingy doesn't really work as I'd like, from my testing.

    try kmplayer or kplayer.

  • Looking for a SCORM Player or LMS to run Captivate SCORM content (in place of Blackboard 9.1)

    Greetings,
    Background:
We are trying to run Captivate produced SCORM 1.2 in Blackboard 9.1 and are running into several problems (See http://discussions.blackboard.com/forums/p/49773/152443.aspx Please post any solutions to the problems described in that thread in that thread rather than here).
One of the options we are considering is playing and tracking our SCORM content in a separte LMS or with a different SCORM player.
    The question:
Can anybody recommend any (ideally free) LMS or SCORM players that have been tested to work with Captivate CS5?
    Many thanks for your help.
    Andrew Downes

Thanks, that's helpful. Moodle looks like an option then; the challenge will be finding a way to integrate the Moodle SCORM player with Blackboard.
What other LMSs or SCOPRM players are people using successfully (or unsucessfully) with Captivate? is anybody else using Moodle?
I'm espeically keen to hear from anybody who has found a free SCORM player and integrated it with their LMS/VLE and got it to play and track captivate content well. Has anybody tried integrating the Reload player with thier LMS and running a Captivate SCORM?
    Thanks.

  • Looking for INTIMATE Flash Player Knowledge, to explain something DELICATE

Hello ::- ). I have stumbled upon a Flash Player behavior about which I have some assumptions & some questions, but I would like to discuss them with somebody who has VERY good knowledge of Flash Player. If you like a good brain teaser and like to see some living proof about how Flash Player works, read on CAREFULLY. I also present inside this post the SOLUTION, which I managed to find after 10 hours of torment.
Sorry for the use of caps in this message but I wanted to emphasize some  things. Imagine that as I am writing this, I am outraged and desperate  ::- ).
Ok, so here is the (very simple) situation:
    1. I got an ENTER_FRAME hooked on the Stage, in which sometimes, when the User moves the mouse, I move all objects on the Stage.
    2. Inside a Timer, I got a hit testing function in which I test against the EDGES of some objects.
    3. When the objects on the Stage are MOVED (in increments of 8 pixels / frame), this is what happens:
    dispObject.visible = false;  //I repeat, that's visible = false.
dispObject.hitTestPoint(x, y, true); //Returns TRUE. Yes, despite the object being hidden, the hit test SUCCEEDS.
    dispObject.visible = true;
dispObject.hitTestPoint(x, y, true); //Returns FALSE when the object is VISIBLE.
Where X and Y are coordinates situated INSIDE the shape of the object, at the extremities (left or right). I got solid proof that they're inside the object, as I dumped the contents of the Stage to a BitmapData and investigated it. Without doubt, the hit testing occurs INSIDE the colored shape of the object but the result is FALSE when the object is VISIBLE=TRUE and TRUE when the object is hidden.
Also, the Hit Tests that I am doing are based on 2 moving  objects: I am hit testing against a moving object (dispObject), and the X/Y location where I  am doing the hit testing are dictated by the position of ANOTHER moving  object.
Now... I know very well how hitTestPoint works. The object I'm hit testing is ON the Display List (I only played with the Visible property).
    MY SOLUTION:
Instead of doing the Hit Test in the Timer, I just queued it in an Array and I moved it inside the ENTER_FRAME event, PRIOR TO MOVING THE STAGE OBJECTS. This makes it work regardless of whether the Hit Tested object is Visible or not.
    QUESTIONS:
    1. Does Flash Player have an internal priority for event types? I am NOT talking about Event Listener Priority but about priority in executing entire TYPES of events.
    2. Case in question: does ENTER_FRAME *ALWAYS* execute PRIOR to TIMER?
    3. Why does hitTestPoint work differently with INVISIBLE objects? Let me rephrase that: why do INVISIBLE objects get moved AFTER the TIMER event??? Becaues obviously this is what happens. When the object is invisible, Flash Player moves it differently, so that's why the Hit Test succeeds. If the object is Visible, it gets moved in ENTER_FRAME and the Hit Test fails, EVEN THOUGH ON THE SCREEN, I actually SEE IT HIT the ACTUAL SHAPE of the object.
    Again:
So yes, what I'm saying is that visibly, on the screen, it should NOT fail because I drawed some pixels at each location I am shape-hit testing and the pixels actually INTERSECT the SHAPE, but even so, the function returns FALSE. But when the object is HIDDEN, the hit test RETURNS TRUE. Okay, that's about all the ways I can explain it haha.
Sorry for repeating myself a bit, but I really want to get the point home. To conclude: I managed to fix the problem but I wonder why, God, why did I have to lose so much time with this? So here's to hoping some Guru sees this thread and guides me through the mysteries of Flash Player internals, because this sure as heck isn't documented (I looked everywhere about Event Priorities and STAGE WORKFLOW but couldn't find anything!)

If you have Flash Player issues you should post them in the Flash Player forum...

  • Looking for a DVD Player with same functionality as CyberPro Power DVD

I have just converted from PC to Mac, and love it, but have a special requirement and need some guidance.
I work in TV and need to be able to preview footage shot on site that has been converted onto a DVD. On my old PC using Power DVD, after hitting 'Play' I can fast forward and fast reverse, and increase the speed of FF or FR in small increments (up to 32 times normal speed) using the scroll wheel on my mouse. That gives me a lot of control as I search through countless hours of footage to shot list, and saves heaps of time.
With the standard Mac DVD Player, I can hold down the FF and FR buttons to get a slight increase in speed, but it is still far too slow and clumsy for what I need.
VLC was recommended, but when I hold down the FF and FR it scrolls in minutes, whereas I need to scroll in frames.
Does anybody know of a high quality DVD Player with the scrolling features similar to Power DVD that I can purchase?

    Have you tried, +DVD Player>Controls>Scan Rate+ ?

  • I'm looking for a music player with the following features:

    Hi everyone,
I'm setting up a linux desktop for the first time. I'd like some directions on finding a music player. Here are my criteria, in order of importance:
      - Can play (at least) ogg, mp3 and wav
      - Prefers a 'playlist approach' (m3u) to a 'media library' approach
      - Can play songs without breaks in-between
      - Fast startup
      - Simple interface (ex. VLC beats mplayer)
My window manager is pekwm. This is for usability reasons, not performance reasons - my comp. can handle all the bells and whistles you throw at it (actually, I tried with my doorbell, but I wouldn't recommend with the church bell). (sorry for the bad humour). Crazy visualisations and features whose sole purposes are to eat up CPU cycles are O.K.
Good support for keyboard would be appreciated - I am a pekwm user.
    So what have you got?
