Looking for a method of changing a voice

So I recorded my voice as an audio track. I'm going to use it for a phone system, but I don't want callers to hear my own voice, because I think that's a little silly. Is there a good way to change my voice, using either LE knobs or a free plugin I can find somewhere?
I've tried (either activated individually, or in various combinations):
Logic > Special > Pitch Shifter II
Logic > Special > Speech Enhancer
Logic > Special > Voice Transformer
Logic > Audio Units > AUPitch
But I notice that with these plugins there are only finite changes that can be done before the audio starts sounding broken and robotic. Not at all the effect I'm going for.
Anyone have any tips or tricks?

It's called E.Q., and if you use one with a lot of frequency bands (i.e., 31-band), then you can do a lot to affect your voice's sound.
Other than that, it sounds like you've experimented with a lot of the common ways that people change voices.

I've seen some mention here and there about ways to maybe change it so the volume buttons change tracks and holding the volume buttons changes the volume... but I don't know what's involved in that or if its even possible/recommended for a new 5th gen iPod. I think its a great device but its sadly lacking in music oriented functions and features... which is disappointing since music is why most people would bother getting one instead of some other "iDevice" :/

Given that you cannot do what you have asked for, perhaps you simply need to find another solution to your root problem.

Simply don't want to hear it at this time.
For problem number 1. Don't put it on the iPod in the first place. (I know, obvious answer!)
For problem number 2. How about playing from a Smart Playlist (initially created in your iTunes Library) which has only songs you've not played recently?
For problem number 3. Hhhmmm! Create alternative Playlists for use in the car.
As for going back to the start of the "now playing" track.... Well, if your Playlist has only songs that you really, really want to hear, then you'll be looking forward to that rather go back to the beginning of the current song.
I'm not trying to be prescriptive, just giving you food for thought.
(They are all cheaper options than buying a car which can control the iPod from the steering wheel.)

Click on the pull down window next to From: and you should be able to select the individual account you want to send from. The account that you want to send from must be an Enabled account in the Account Preferences of Mail.

If you mean you want to use a different SIM on your SIM locked iPhone., there is no "code" for that. You need to contact the carrier the phone is locked to. Only they can unlock it. Apple does not unlock phones.

Looking for high quality 3rd party TTS voices for OSX

Looking for suggestions for commercial, high quality, 3rd party TTS voices. In the Windows world I was a happy Ivona user, but Ivona does not support Apple products. The best OSX TTS voices I've found so far are from Infovox ... better than the built-in TTS voices ... but no where close to Ivona.

There are additional OS X voices that you can download as part of the operating system.
System Preferences > Dictation & Speech > Text to Speech > System Voice > Customize.
Download the addtional voices from the list and then select to use.

Looking for a way to change GTK2 colors in xfce

I am looking for a way to edit the colors in the GTK theme I am using in xfce, the way you could in gnome2. Lxappearance allows for this but xfce doesn't read the changes from it when I change it though that.
Can anyone suggest something that works? Preferable without having to edit configs by hand.

It is discussed on the xfce forums but unfortunately that solution requires editing by hand. However it does seem relatively easy to automate. Writing a graphical program for those tasks is something you'd only have to do once.

Looking for Best Method

OK, I've tried a number of PS tools to accomplish this with less than satisfactory results so I'm looking for suggestions.
I use PS CS4 Extended v. 11.0.1 on a Windows XP Pro SP3 platform. I am fairly proficient in PS through both formal training and a lot of trial-and-error self-teaching (aka "How the heck did I do that??).
The end result I am trying to create is a photo of a blue sky with a cloud in the shape of an airplane. I have hundreds of photos of beautiful blue skies with and without a variety of cloud types to use for this project.
I have tried modifying an existing cloud with warp/skew/distort tools to create the shape, but I end up with a cloud that no longer bears much resemblance to a real cloud. I've tried cutting the airplane shape out of existing clouds, but then I lose the wispy edges that real clouds have.
I know that the end result can be achieved as I have seen mouse-shaped and cruise ship-shaped clouds in Disney commercials/ads and Apple-shaped clouds in (obviously) Mac ads.
Can someone give me a "creative jump start" on what might be the best way to achieve this?

You might first want to determine what your ideal cloud airplane should look like. There are wispy clouds that look one dimensional, flat grey clouds, white puffy clouds in a blue sky (like thunderheads) that have lots of depth, and everything inbetween. Making an airplane out of these different cloud types would perhaps use different techniques. Find examples of what you like and then try to duplicate.
The Disney cloud shapes problably are built from scratch with lots of shading on the edges to give the look of a 3 dimenstional airplane. You may not be as good an artist as Disney has, so cut and paste, cloning, cloud tool, burn tool, and lighten tool may be in order.

No - there is no such 'ROW' entity in Oracle.
Download and use Oracle's free Sql Developer and you can use a simple query like this:
select /*csv*/ * from SCOTT.EMP
That will produce a comma-delimited result set with one record for each row. Then you can save the result set to a file.

Looking for quicker way to change duration of file

Hello!
I work in a broadcast environment and we have just upgraded to Audition from CoolEdit. It was a much needed change and is much better, but there is one problem. When we are doing production, we are getting ads that come out to 29.2 or 28.3 seconds, etc. We need to be able to compress and expand our recordings. CoolEdit was able to shave seconds off within seconds, even with our longer programs that are running 3 minutes. Audition took 15 minutes this morning to take off two extra seconds. Is there a quicker way to do this?

The Stretch effect offers two different stretching algorithms: the default, based upon iZotope Radius and the legacy Audition algorithm. The iZotope algorithm is extremely high-quality and accurate, but requires a lot of processing and can be slow. The Audition algorithm is significantly faster, but you may hear artifacts beyond certain stretch percentages.
I'd recommend taking some of the content you've stretched using the iZotope algorithm, replicate it with the Audition algorithm, and preview to see if you notice a difference. If not, then you could consider using the Audition as the default for future projects which have a quick turn-around time.

Looking for alternate method for RFC adapter with BAPI

Right now I have a scenario as follows
An External ==> SOAP ==> XI ==> RFC ==> SAP TABLE
Application
I have an external application that is sending some DATA to XI via SOAP adapter and in turn XI using a ZBAPI via RFC updates the table.
However, the problem is that BAPI's doesn't support STRINGS anymore.
SO MY QUESTION IS: Is there any other way (any other adapter) without using BAPI that I can update the table with this data.
Your feedback will be greatly appreciated.

To be honest with you, I have not used Proxy in my job here so far, even though I studied during the courses I took to get certified in XI. I have to go back and look at my notes :).
The data that I am having problems with is of 'STRING' Type, which is a blob data or a CUD string (XML string) of variable length.
If you have any hints or steps for creating ABAP proxy, please let me know. I would appreciate it.

Looking for an advice in changing to archive mode my DB

I'm going to change a DB from no archive mode to archive mode. It's a RAc with ASM, 2 nodes.
What I need that somebody verify these steps and give me suggestions.
1. Login to one of the nodes (i.e. linux1) and disable the cluster instance parameter by setting
cluster_database to FALSE from the current instance:
ORACLE_HOME=/home/oracle/product/10.2.0/db
export ORACLE_HOME
ORACLE_SID=YAWIDB1
export ORACLE_SID
2. sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
SQL> alter system set cluster_database=false scope=spfile sid='YAWIDB1';
3. Shutdown all instances accessing the clustered database:
$ srvctl stop database -d YAWIDB
Using the local instance, MOUNT the database:
$ sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
SQL> startup mount
Enable archiving:
SQL> alter database archivelog;
Re-enable support for clustering by modifying the instance parameter cluster_database to TRUE from the current instance:
•     SQL> alter system set cluster_database=true scope=spfile sid=’YAWIDB1’;
•     Shutdown the local instance:
•     SQL> shutdown immediate
•     Bring all instance back up using srvctl:
•     $ srvctl start database -d YAWIDB
Since the archive destination is pointing to this path: Archive destination /home/oracle/product/10.2.0/db/dbs/arch
I think I should do the next steps to change that to ASM disk group, but in these steps I'm not sure. Please let me know If I'm wrong or correct? Or if I need to add something else.
ALTER SYSTEM SET LOG_ARCHIVE_DEST_1='+DG_DB1_ASM' SID='yawidb';
ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE;
The order of the complete steps, are correct or shoud be different?

Looking for a method other than portable EHDs to backing up photos and videos from iPhoto.

(MacBook Pro 15in Mid-2009, iPhoto '11)
I currently have my iPhoto library (approx 250GB and growing) backed up to 2 1TB external hard drives. I also have my entire photo library on Shutterfly. My computer backs up to CrashPlan regularly, but I need to delete the original library from my computer to free up space and the library will no longer be in storage there. Therefore my library would be stored on 1 EHD and backed up on 1 more EHD that is exactly the same.
I would like to have all of it backed up 3 times, so the photos are taken care of but I am in a quandary on what I should do about my videos. I would like to have an alternate method such as USB or SD card (worried that the EHDs will conk out or I will drop one), but I don't know if this is realistic or not (I realize that I would need multiple USBs or SD cards to back up this size of library). Flickr doesn't allow videos longer than 1:30 in length, and iPhoto keeps crashing on me when I try to upload videos to Flickr in any case.
Is using a USB drive realistic? Is using an SD card even possible?

I am open to buying one more external drive but I was thinking it should be a different kind/brand in case the ones I have turn into duds for some reason.
Thank you for your point about Crash Plan. In any case it will be a moot point once I delete the library from my computer so I wasn't figuring that into my backup scenario.

Yes, I just discovered the POWER SEARCH feature missing and had a mini-meltdown until I found the power search, using the STORE button on the main menu, I click "search" and the power search page pops back, so wharever idiot at Itunes thought it a good idea to delete Power search from the Itunes webpage needs a smack in the head, and put the power search feature back, duh.
