Me, i've only just started to learn past the " stop();
gotoAndPlay(); on(rollOver); " about 2 months ago, maybe abit over.

Im starting to use dotSyntax ALOT more now tho. Helps in
learning AS.
I've been using Flash for alot longer tho, but never used
much Action Script.. I can animate just about anything, just not
with action script.
I'm slowly getting there tho.. keeping notes from all the
help you guys have given me.. Also David Stiller's Blog, "WHOA"
thats a middle sized Library of Flash info.. I wish i had alot of
time to just sit down and read the whole lot, with Flash open so I
can practice.

NI sells an SQL toolkit for interacting with ODBC-compliant database
software on Windows systems, but does not make make an analogous product
for Unix systems, where database software (generally) uses the JDBC
protocol.

That is not what the answer is.
I don't think you read the message above or are familar with Oracle. The database does indeed support the generated keys through their "sequence" objects.
Also if you look above, both BEA and I-Net Software have a driver which supports this method.
What I am looking for is a list of any other 3rd party drivers, particularly if there is an open source one, that way I can evaluate which is best for my project.

I am looking for a faster tool to add hand written/ drawn notes to pdfs without having to open them in photoshop. I am familar with all the standard tools in acrobat, but am wondering if there is anything else out there as third party plugin.

This is a great reminder. I too labor over my slides, sometimes way too much labor and not enough on the presentation. This is also a reminder to check out your venue BEFORE you arrive. Talk to the tech in charge if at all possible and tell him/her the system your bringing and ask if they can accommodate your requirements. I am giving 4 classes for adult continuing education at a local high school. I've had to bring my own flat screen TV because their projector was sub-par and did nothing for my slides.
Best practice if it is feasible and reasonable to go to the venue and check it out days before your presentation.
For the amount of work we put into our slides, we deserve for them to be shown at the best possible resolution.

Hi,
I've been tasked to get Java 3rd party source from Oracle. This would include source for 7-Zip, UPX, and all other 3rd party software that Oracle distributes with Java SE 6. A complete list of the software I'm looking for can be found at http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/documentation/thirdpartylicensereadme-159050.txt.
I searched through the Oracle public website and did not find this source. At the suggestion of an Oracle help tech I'm posting this.
I suspect that Oracle may not provide the source directly from its website. It would help me greatly to know:
1. if Oracle does provide source for these redistributed 3rd party libraries - where can I find it.
Or...
2. that Oracle does not provide source for these redistributed 3rd party libraries.
Note that whether or not the source is available from the 3rd party author or a non-Oracle distribution point is not relevant to my search at this time.
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

this is a real pain because when i replace the plugin with the exact same plugin from its propper location i loose all the settings that were originaly used.

Looking for Third Party VPN W/O Significant Network Speed Hit

As the title indicates, I am looking for a VPN app (Windows) which will not significantly ding my network speed. I have FiOS (75/35). I understand there is normally a speed drop while connected to a VPN but dropping from 75Mbps to 1.5Mbps is unacceptable. I have only tested Spotflux so any other suggestions would be appreciated.
To clarify, any app would have to be compatible with PeerBlock. I do not care about advertising as Ad Block Plus takes care of that. As for speed, on average, I would expect no less than 20-30Mbps. Also, I want the ability to choose my own servers (whether foreign or domestic).

I'm on a mac, but the windows app works well too. While connected to one of the Miami servers, which are in the same state as me, I can often get nearly my full 75 Mbps down when using openvpn (udp). IPVanish has servers around the world, some have better speeds than others. Your speed will depend on a few factors, distance from server being used, server load, etc. For best results I'd suggest using one of the "A" servers, example mia-a01, lon-a02, nrt-a01, etc.

Looking for third party driver for Bentley Nevada 208P data acquisition unit.

We have a Bentley Nevada 208P data acquisition unit used with their Adre system (software/hardware). We would find it benifitial to utilize it on another application other than monitoring proximitors, and do some calculations on the voltage signals received outside Bentley's Adre system software. We are using LabView on other applications. Has anyone tried this?

From what I can find about this instrument it looks as though it communicates via Parallel port. I don't think NI has anything which is specific to this instrument, but if Bentley Nevada publishes the command set/communication specs you could probably use VISA to communicate with it (unfortunately they won't allow access to their manuals online without a password so I can't find out anything more specific).

Didn't have time to do more than skim, but 'Ardour' looked promising. Protools is the only one I've used, the full product is one of the industry standards, but the free 'lite' version listed here seems to be limited to 2 in/out as well.
Referring to your original post, I'd think trying to write or 'script' something would be a nightmare ... synchronisation of streams within something like Applescript would be a major issue, quite apart from anything else.

Looking for Quality 3rd Party Monitors

We have an office of 15 or so Macs and are slowly moving to dual display.
We are replacing our 27 inch Macs with 21.5 inch - then with a 2nd monitor.
Can anybody recommend any top quality third party monitors?
a) That have a resolution that doesn't look average next to a Mac
and
b) The actual look and athsetics of the monitor doesn't look crappy next to a Mac
(I guess "a" is probably slightly more important than "b")
