Looking for a site to publish my dvds

I'm looking for a good self publishing website for my dvds. I tried Lulu and I really liked it, but they don't have custom spines for the Dvd cases. You can upload a picture for the front and back but the spine you can only type some text and choose the background/text color. And that really irritates me.
So I'm wondering if there are any other good sites kinda like Lulu for publishing dvds.

Try this:
go to the System/MobileMe preference pane and log out of MMe.
login with a bogus username and password like "test" and "test". This clears the caches.
login with your correct username and password, launch iWeb and try again.
Next, if necessary, continue with:
close iWeb.
delete the iWeb preference file, com.apple.iWeb.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
go to your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
reboot.
launch iWeb and try again.
Lastly:
move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
launch iWeb and try again.

  • Looking for a site that shows problems with windows patches or updates.

Looking for a site that shows problems with windows patches or updates...so I know what not to install.
Plenty of sites list and summarize individual patches, I want one that consolidates problems and complaints so I can better assess the risk. Currently I'm waiting to install patches several days and doing google searches. That works, but I'd rather find a place
    that does it with expertise.
Which forums would be best to look for such problems.
Thanks in and advance for suggestions

    Hi,
I agreed with Cyber and Rick.
Windows update helps to keep your PC safer—and your software current—by fetching the latest security and feature updates from Microsoft via the Internet.
Although there might be some problems when installing it, Windows update is not the one to blame.

  • Looking for Free Site Search

I'm looking for a Site Search script (hopefully free) for **
windows servers ** that works like ones I've used in UNIX.
One of the great features the UNIX program has is the ability
to define or restrict the files and folders to be gone through in
the search. (define to INCLUDE .htm, .html, .php, etc only...
EXCLUDE files and folders e.g. /stats, /cgi-bin folders, .js files,
    etc.).
I'm new to windows servers and dreamweaver so I'm a bit in
    the dark here.
Any good suggestion will be much appreciated.

  • Looking for web sites w/ advanced text search

A group of potential customers are looking for a powerful text search engine for a web-published database, and I proposed they use Oracle 9i and Oracle Text for this purpose.
They may be interested but they demand to "see it in action".
Can you help my find web sites which use advanced features of Oracle Text to produce near-natural language search ?
My potential customers' context is : They have a few hundreds of structured documents which they want to consolidate and web-enable.
The main audience might be people who rarely use Internet, so ideally the search engine should be capable of "natural language" search.
An expert thesaurus has been constructed by the customers already.
I think Oracle Text could be a good enough option if we can take advantage of the thesaurus and the documents being structured, but I don't know of any web site that use these features of Oracle Text.
Thanks a lot if you can help.

Try tahiti.oracle.com. A search engine for the Oracle documentation set using Oracle Text. Each documentation
release (e.g. 8.1.7) is about 300Mb of data (around 110,000 rows in the db).
There are commercial references for Oracle Text but I would prefer to have your email address so we can
follow up in a separate thread. Thanks.

  • Looking for Trayless/Slot Load Blu-Ray DVD players

Looking for a list of the Trayless/Slot Load Blu-Ray DVD players. Are there any for under $100? (or near that)

Rwillen, i agree with you. What TVLOVER said has to be one of the funniest things I have heard in a few weeks. Plus how would a Stand Alone players eye last longer then a PS3 eye? They both work in the exact same manner. And dont give me any bs about the eyes in stand alones are better design and quality then those found in the PS3. Because that is false. If anything the PS3 would use the better eye due to the more use they are subjected to. I have owned 2 PS3's since they were launched. BOTH were used for heavy gaming and the Blu-Ray from day 1. Guess what? My original FAT PS3 is still alive and kicking just fine. So over 7 years of use on that thing and not a single issue other then the bluetooth board went out. But I knew how to repair electronics ordered a new board for 30 dollars and it was as good as new.
But I have always recommended the PS3 over a blu-ray system due to its ALOT more future proof then a stand alone player is. It has the ability to do more then a stand alone player, and the price makes it worth it over a stand alone. Because while people around me were buying new Blu-Ray players due to the Blu-Ray spec changing and evolving in its early days. My PS3 with just a free software update got all the same features that people had to trash their "older" models to get. And dont forget about the encryption keys. Your at the mercy of the company to continue to make new firmware to keep the keys updated to play new movies. Not so much of a worry for the PS3 as it will still be around for a long time.

  • Children's Start-up Looking for Flash Site Designer

New Los Angeles based children's media start-up is looking
for a creative independant Flash website developer. Please send
links to [email protected] or post them in this forum. This
project needs to be completed by 12/31/06.
    Thank you,
    David

    Hi Hugh
Rather than attempting to find those files, I suggest you lock the Shared Object folder. This precludes any Flash cookie info from being written to your HD.
To do so, go to the Finder and navigate to the Macromedia folder - Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. Continue drilling down to the Shared Objects folder. Now, simply move to the trash the contents of the Shared Objects folder. Once the folder is empty, click on the Shared Objects folder, Command/I to open its Info panel and click on the Locked option, then close the panel.
From here on out, no information will be written to that file. I did this awhile ago and have not had any adverse effect from locking the folder.

  • Pleased with upgrade even just for single site FTP publishing

I liked iWeb 08 a lot, but found the publishing of EVERYTHING really cumbersome. So I decided to take a chance and upgrade to iWeb 09 and it seems perfect for the sorts of things I am doing now. I love the fact that I can select one site and then have it FTP publish to just the directory I want at my hostgator ISP (I don't use Mobile Me).
It seems to work just fine, and is a great time saver of the way publishing was done in iWeb 08. Just this feature was worth the upgrade to me.
    doug

I'm thinking about this as well. My work-around for iWeb'08 was to create a copy of my original .sites2 file with all the sites, rename the file to xxx.sites2, open it and delete all but 1 site in iWeb. Repeat with all the sites, and then you have a bunch of files each with only 1 site. Create an alias for each file and you have more or less the same thing.

Every ID i add on here doesnt work...it keeps telling me that the ID is incorrect.  I will find another site if they do not want my money.

Recalling, it definitely was a fake update notification because it had 3 things to install and Mozilla never sends that. The toolbar and some search engine and I don't recall the third, but that was the start of it all. Ever since I have been getting these update notifications. I took you guys advice and used a link provided and went to Fire Fox and downloaded an upgrade. I bookmarked that link and to be safe from now on I will only download it manually from there. It is too bad because for years Fire Fox has been automatically updating but it seems like these phony installers link to a computer and harass them. There was a Google redirect and even a G-mail interference. Next thing I have to do is use those malware and virus cleaners and try and remove any tag links that might be calling these fake update notices. Another one that I think caused trouble is an Adobe Flash Player update. Same thing, Adobe always updated automatically, then it started trying to add these things same as Fire Fox. Thanks everybody, at least I know better what to look out for.

  • Looking for web sites

I seem to remember a while ago I found a link via the apple site which guided you to several web sites created on iweb andpublished on .mac.
The idea was to let you have a look at what sort of web sites people have created to let you try your own.
Where would I find this please?

  • Looking for AppleScript site

    Hello all,
I've tried a couple Google searches to find some AppleScripts, but haven't had much luck. I thought it would be a pretty straightforward task that I'm trying to find a solution for: Open a browser window with the selected text as the URL.
I've yet to find anything helpful, and don't want to hack a solution over a couple days if I can find a ready-made one.
Does anyone know where such a script might be found?
    Pointers appreciated,
    Markie

    Hello Markie,
I am not an expert at scripting enough to know how easy/possible it is to grab the "selected text", but there are built in scripts in the /Library/Scripts/URLs/ which are made to open a browser window with a URL.
If this functionality is all you need, you can use the "Open URL" in every application's Services menu which will do exactly what you are asking.
By the way, Apple's AppleScript Resources page shows several references and third-party websites. Perhaps going there will give you the answers you want.

  • Looking for interMedia web sites using text retrieval

I'm looking for web sites which use interMedia to support their site search function. My goal is to evaluate intermMedia for use as a full text search engine.
I'm particularly interested in sites which use the thesaurus features.
    Thanks.

There are many sites on the Internet that use interMedia Text for site search and for catalog search.
While we don't track which Oracle customers use particular components of the database such as interMedia, here are a few good examples for you to try :-
    oracle.com - of course
    myCNN.com - CNN's personalized news service
    bol.com - on-line books, music etc.
