Looking for a third party utility to replace a file's "modified Date" field

For video files, apparently the organizer displays the thumbnails with the date taken from the file's "modified date" field. For some wierd reason (which I'm discussing with Adobe CS) the organizer changed the date of all my videos in the "modified date" field, so now the chronology of all my video clips in the organizer went down the drain.
Is there a third party utility to replace the "modified date" field of a file with the original shot date? (which in W7 is shown in the "Date" field).
In other words: for every video file in my library, I want to take the date from the "Date" field and put it in the "Modified Date" field
Thanks for your help.

OK thanks.
I've found a utility that modifes several of the date fields.
Now, I just want to be sure that I don't screw this up...
Which of the several date fields of a file holds the actual shot date?
Which of the date fields is used by the organizer to "organize" the video files (avi and mov's) chronologically?
Thanks for your help

  • Looking for a third-party affiliate program that will integrate well with Adobe Business Catalyst.

    Dear Adobe Community,
I am looking for a third-party Affiliate Program that will integrate well with the Adobe Business Catalyst platform.
The requirement is fairly basic, i.e.,  to track multiple affiliates and down-stream affiliate-to-affiliate referrals. Also looking to report and display these referrals an affiliate’s dashboard.
We have looked into Affiliate Program Software, Affiliate Tracking Software Marketing and would like to entertain other options before making a decision.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! —Thank You!
    Kind Regards,
    Doug McClure

For what it is worth, I am a fan of NuGen, I have both SEQ 1 and 2 and two stereo enhancing tools (stereoizer and stereoplacer I think they're called). Since I have the SEQ 1 it replaces all Channel EQ's. And the stereotools sound great and very lush, in stead of the more usual cheezy combfilterthingies that pass for stereo enhancing tools.
And I actually like the interfaces. Simple, but stylish, functional and ergonomic (in this case meaning you can see all parameters in a quick glance, no guessing at settings).

  • Looking for a third party 'job system/job scheduler'

    Hello,
We have tried using OEM Job and now want to also look at third party Job Scheduling applications. Please advice of such other products. Was thinking of AppWorks. Thank you.

AppWorx, now UC4, is one possibility but there is little, if anything, they can do that can not be done through the proper use of the DBMS_SCHEDULER package.
I would suggest that, before you spend or waste money, you look at the docs on DBMS_SCHEDULER and determine that there is something you need that you have not already purchased. Using OEM to schedule jobs is far from giving you access to the full functionality.

  • Looking for a third party go to EQ plug to work with Logic.

Hey folks, here's the deal: I'm looking for a great sounding, versatile, linear phase EQ. This will be used on a track by track basis, so low CPU overhead would be a plus, but I am running this on a dual 2.8 GHz eight core Mac Pro with currently 6 GB's of RAM, later to be expanded, so sound quality is more important to me than anything else. Cheaper, of course, is better, but I don't really want to miss out on quality to save a buck either. I already own two UAD-1 cards, and bought the Precision EQ, and while I like it, it's really mainly for mastering and not for finely tuned mixing work. I also own the DDMF EQ's, and enjoy them. I also own T-Racks 3, and use the linear phase EQ's with that, still, I am looking for something else for some reason. I am mainly using Logic Pro 8, and the linear phase EQ with it as my go-to channel EQ at the moment, but I also own Ableton Live 5, Digital Performer 5.13, and Pro Tools M-Powered 8, so I have access to the EQ's in those. But Pro Tools is only just for getting projects and audio out of Pro Tools, I can't use it well with the rest of my system, so that's that. Ableton is great, but not really what I use anymore, although I wish I had more time to get down with it.
Anyway, here is what I'm mainly considering, although I could go with any other idea at this point, so please make any suggestion you feel fit.
    1) Ozone 4. (http://www.izotope.com/products/audio/ozone/)
I like the company a lot, and it's going to be inexpensive for me due to a student discount. I probably will buy it sooner or later, my thoughts are though that it largely duplicates what I already have with T-Racks 3, and I can't see using it necessarily as a channel EQ for some reason, although I probably could. I don't know how it sounds really either, I imagine pretty good, though.
    2) Nugen Audio SEQ 2 Master Edition (http://www.nugenaudio.com/seq2.php)
Again, not expensive. I do really like the 10 Hz-30kHz possibilites with this guy. I own their Visualizer and other plug ins and enjoy them. I've downloaded the demo and liked that too, but you can't really measure how much you like the sound in a week or whatever. I mainly didn't hear any sound, which is probably good. The interface is less than beautiful, but then again, I'm not buying art here.
    3) RNDigital Unique-lizer. (http://www.rndigitallabs.com/Plug-ins/U ... lizer.html)
I have their D4 compressor and absolutely love it. I have demoed their Inspector XL and loved that. I think they've got some killer plug ins going, and again, will probably get this sooner or later, likely as part of a package with the Inspector XL and the other EQ (the FirEQ), and a limiter or something. I really like the visual aspect of this plug, it would probably be helpful in isolating a troubling frequency in a snare hit, say.
    4) The UAD Cambridge EQ. (http://www.uaudio.com/products/software ... index.html)
By now you are noticing that I want a more graphically styled modern EQ, and not a vintage emulating plug in. I intend to add some of those at some point (I guess I have some already with T-Racks and whatnot) but for now I want a super clean and versatile modern plug in style EQ that I would feel comfortable using on every track for it's uncolored sound. This is probably my least consideration, I think I would get much more processing power out of my native processing rather than my two UAD-1 cards, frankly, especially if Snow Leopard performs as promised. I am thinking the UAD-1 cards will turn out to be more of a processing liability more than anything else, I'm new to them though, but that's what it's looking like to me. I am unlikely to want to go to UAD-2 at the moment either, and am suspicious of the limitations of it's processing power vs. native as well. And this seems like an older offering of UAD's, and seems to want to be a "classic" console style EQ as well as the more neutral style version I am looking for... but then again, I don't know much about it compared to most.
That's the big ones- I have looked into URS, which seems like more vintage emulating stuff to me, as well as Sonalksis, which seems good. Waves is always there. TC Powercore and the Liquid Mix are possible (well TC Powercore unlikely, that's big time money) but I am sort of unwilling to add another Firewire bus PCIe card and am using a Firewire interface.
If anyone is still awake after this, I'd love to hear your thoughts! I'll be posting this on a few forums so let me know what you think please, thanks, L

  • Looking for a third party display

I own a 12" Powerbook and am looking for a monitor in the 20"-23" range. After having read some comments in these discussions, I am intrigued by the idea of opening my search to non-Apple monitors. I prefer the 4x3 aspect ratio rather than the panoramic of the Apple displays. Also I love the idea of pivoting and working in the portrait mode, which is not offered by the Apple displays. I'll use the monitor mostly for digital photography, so image quality and color fidelity is important. However I am still not sure if I'll face problems with non-apple monitors. What if the software that they come bundled with is not apple-compatible? How will I be able to adjust it and/or calibrate it? Is there something important that I'll be missing by not buying an Apple display in terms of control over the monitor and interaction between my computer and the monitor? Your experience and advice in this regard will be welcome.
    12" Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

Thanks again Phil Ta. I have read about the La Cie 321, which seems to be the standard among professional photographers, but the price is hard to digest for an amateur photographer like me. Does anybody know if the La Cie Photon 20 Vision, whose price is much more reasonable, has comparable quality to that of the 321?
About the Dell 2405 FPW, I had decided at some point to buy it, until I read in another forum about the very narrow horizontal viewing angle, which given its large panoramic size, means that if you are not far enough, the values in the center of the screen are different from those on the sides, and they change as you move sideways. And that is something that I couldn't cope with. I also read it is way too bright even at the darkest setting, producing eye strain.
Going back to the xbitlabs article, I hope that you are right and Samsung has been able to improve the color in their monitors since the article was written. The one thing that worries me is this comment about the PVA (Samsung) monitors: "when you are looking straight at the screen, the matrix “loses” some shades, which return after you deflect your line of sight from the perpendicular a little". Has anyone out there noticed anything like this in their Samsung monitors? The last thing I want, is to have to find the right sight angle by bending my neck, the way I have to do now (vertically) with the display in my laptop.
And one last question: do you know if the use of a bigger monitor will strain my little 12" Powerbook? Will I risk overheating it? Will the computer somehow perform slower while using visual applications like Photoshop or Final Cut Pro, for having to "feed" so many more pixels?

  • Looking for a Third Party document editor

I am running a Palm IIIxe with Palm OS 3.5 on a Vista 32 bit laptop with Palm Desktop 7.2 with HOTSYNCSTETUP patch.
I am looking for a document editor that I can use so that I can create text documents and import them into my wordprocessor after sync.
Could someone help me with this before the summer semester starts in June.

I'm not sure if they made a version for the Palm IIIxe but you can look into Docs to Go. If that is not compatible or does not work browse around www.freewarepalm.com for a bit and you might find what you need.
I hope this information is useful.

  • Any third party software that replaces SecMon and IDS-MC

I am looking for any third party software that may replace SecMon and IDS-MC. We have had so many issues with it that it is time to find a solution by looking for another vendor to manage Cisco's NID's. If anyone has had any luck please let me know.

CWSIM is another tool that you can use to get log messages out of sensor. for management purposes if you have a few sensors then you can use IDS device manager.

The way I read that comment – you seem to suggest the Mac was broken before the third party replaced the disk - is that the case or was it working before the HD was replaced?
Since the Mac is out of warranty you will have to pay for any repairs wherever you take it. Authorised Apple service centres will be able to get parts whereas any non certified technicians will have to use 'grey market' parts since Apple will not sell parts to the public. These may be reconditioned or not official parts - it's a risk to use them. Visit the Apple store & ask them - there is no point in lying about it being handled by a third party. An Apple tech may be able to tell when they open the case, depending on how meticulous your third party was.
If you are handy with a screwdriver & have tools and a lot of patience you could use a guide on iFixit.com, but there is no indication of why this Mac not booting up.
It could be that the disk is not formatted correctly.
Are you sure the tech copied an OS onto the disk? Did they install the OS for you or did they clone the old disk?
Can you boot from a backup disk or from an install disk? Does the disk appear in Disk Utility when booted from another OS (either the installer or a backup).
'Not booting' can mean so many things, what does booting do exactly? Grey screen, black screen, any noises or tones, any signs of life at all…?
If you look at the iFixit guides you will see many fiddly connectors, if the tech failed to hook them all back up it could explain the failure, or perhaps you just have a disk that is 'dead on arrival' - sometimes that happens. A properly trained technician should be able to figure that one out.

  • RFC destination for your third-party tool

    Hello SAP Guru's,
I have recently established external db connect for an iseries database. Now developers wants to use the open hub destination to extract data to non-SAP systems. They are using API: RSB_API_OHS_3RDPARTY_NOTIFY to connect a third-party tool to the BI system and use this third-party tool to distribute data to other non-SAP systems. To do so they need RFC destination for the third party tool. Could you tell me which RFC connection i have to use in SM59 ? I mean is it ABAP connection or TCP/IP connection or HTTP connection to external server?
I would highly appreciate any help on this.
    FYI:
I have already gone through below help link:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/43/8de3f4743b22a8e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm

This will be of type TCP/IP.
You will need to create an RFC server application on the thirdparty system, and implement this function there. You will need to define that server application in your RFC destination definitions (host/Program).
You may need to read up RFC server help documentation; you can also browse the SAPGUI subfolders for RFC server sample applications and C code (if you have installed GUI in full, there should be such subfolders on your PC). You can also ask for help on 'application server' or 'abap' forums for this.

  • Is it possible for a third party to be added to an esatblished text message thread?

Is it possible for a third party to be added to a text message thread (between 2 people). This test message thread has been established for over a year! He says he could see our message history via his icloud. Is this possible? Please help.....

How "third party" are we talking about here.....? Not another user (usually family) who has access to the same Apple Id, is it? I know, that seems too obvious.....
Could you explain the situation a little more? Did you or the other party forward your iMessage ("text" between "i" devices/Mac users) to this 3rd party? How did this 3rd party end up with any portion of your conversation (or is that the question)? I know it is easy to forward a portion of your conversation to another user. When you choose to forward a "text bubble", you receive round check boxes next to all messages in the conversation; you just pick and choose how much you want the 3rd party to receive. Other than that method, I know of no way to loop in a 3rd party to an existing conversation via iPhone or iPad.
    Anyone else?
    Best of luck,
    Bill
