Looking for a Tut for Flash Maps

Has anyone seen a tutorial explaining how to create something
similar to the example below?

One particularly good thing about HoudahGeo is that it can identify folders and collections in Lightroom and list their contents. This is a handy addition to standard File Open or drag and drop ways to get the files. As a note, it seems better to use HoudahGeo with Google Earth, rather than Google Maps, as you then have the ability to search for locations.
I'd also recommend Geosetter for Windows. I feel it's actually the better of the two programs. One caution is to be careful about the order in which you do work in LR, and read in the GPS data. If there are LR adjustments, Metadata > Read from File can overwrite them - after all, that's what you're telling LR to do. So make sure that you run Metadata > Save to File first.

This is a "teaser" series to sell his tutorials but it is really good. Just saw it yesterday for the first time.
While all you want is just to place pins, realize that Motion has so much more. All kinds of effects and they can be really customized. Maybe put their street address, contact name, and phone number by the pin?

If you're using the map for, say, deliveries, and use an iPad, what you could do is have a general map of the area imported into Motion, create the pins and whatever, then save (share?) it to the iPad.

Looking for a Maps program for Cloud for Customer

Hello,
I'm looking for a maps program like Microsoft Bing Maps for SAP ByDesign that is compatible with Cloud for Customer. In the process of finding this forum, I can see Cloud for Customer and Business by Design are related but are these program compatible?
Is there any documentation confirming these programs are compatible? A how to for matching them up?
Is there an alternative that I could use with Cloud for Customer to achieve the same thing?

Looking for a maps application that does a few extra things...

I am looking for an app which would allow me to pin a bunch of address on a map and keep them there all at the same time as opposed to the google maps app where I can keep on the map only 2 addresses at best and only when getting directions.
Would also be great if I could just use a voice transcription so that I could map an address on the map just by saying it while driving? I know it may sound like asking too much but If anybody has ever heard about something like this...

Rather than attempting to find those files, I suggest you lock the Shared Object folder. This precludes any Flash cookie info from being written to your HD.
To do so, go to the Finder and navigate to the Macromedia folder - Your User Account>Library>Preferences folder. Continue drilling down to the Shared Objects folder. Now, simply move to the trash the contents of the Shared Objects folder. Once the folder is empty, click on the Shared Objects folder, Command/I to open its Info panel and click on the Locked option, then close the panel.
From here on out, no information will be written to that file. I did this awhile ago and have not had any adverse effect from locking the folder.

Hi. Im new to Flash and im looking for a place i can learn to make a short cartoon with a step by step tutorial. It doesnt matter what the story is, it could be about a snail and his friend or something. Im not yet comfortable doing cartoons on flash by myself.

Looking for flash cookies (or .sol files)

Good day, all
Earlier this year I found out about Flash cookies (the .sol files). I didn’t like the idea so when I quit Safari I would run a search for .sol and then delete them all. Up until now I was using 10.3.9 for the OS and the 4 year old version of Safari.
Last weekend I up dated to 10.5.8 for the OS and 4.0.2 for Safari as I was concerned about security. (All went smooth and they work fine. Thanks to all that gave advice on how to do this!)
Now when I quit Safari and run the search for .sol I don’t get any files ending in this. I’m not keen on Spotlight yet, but I assume if I put in .sol it will return anything with .sol in it, or ending with it. Perhaps I am wrong on this?
I looked in the forums and found a post from Klaus1 that said where to look for .sol files and traced down the spot. He wrote: “In Mac OS X they are stored in the following location: /User’s Home Folder/Library/Preferences/Macromedia/Flash Player/#SharedObjects.
On my Mac, the directories are a bit different from this, but I found a #SharedObjects folder but it had no files ending in .sol and I found a whole lot of empty folders under /flashplayer/sys that reflect websites I’ve been to (#www.4kidstv.com) but still no .sol files.
So my question is: am I failing to find them? Or are they being deleted automatically? (I doubt it) Or are they in some new format that doesn’t end in .sol?

Looking for Flash/Adobe Air Developer for Startup who has some free time

We are looking for a Flash and Air developer who will be creating a Website Music Player for a new music startup Stereo9 (www.stereo9.com). We are also looking for the developer to be able to create a desktop application in Air, which will be used if someone chooses to download a song from the website...and the desktop application will be responsible for managing the download and downloading the music to the user's computer. The functionality between the player and the download tool is pretty simple, and we need to just get it up to a "1.0 launch phase". The rest of the application is rather robust, so for a small investment you can become involved in this venture that has a lot of potential where we are in touch with venture capitalists including the founder of Last.fm.
The rest of the application is developed (completed over the last 2 years) and the engineer that we had for this area of the platform is no longer available to complete that side, you will receive a percentage of the stock options of the startup and we only need the application to be at a simple 1.0 level to get things started. Tooltip for flash map is misbehaving

I'm creating a cool flash map with close to 70 locations
listed. I created a tooltip function that displays the tooltip when
the user rolls over any location button on the stage. Now, I would
like to know what is the best way to inject the tooltip info
dynamically in my function. So far I have this(see attached code
below) and the tooltip function works but the array info is not
displayed correctly. I get an "undefined" in the tooltip text area
when I roll over the location. What could I be missing?

I played with the code in every way I can think of, so to get
a reason as to what's being violated we'll need someone with expert
knowledge.
What it appears to boil down to is assigning the rollOver
function in a loop with any kind of variable in the showTip
function call won't fly, except for the case where it is as it
appeared in your posting (with the [ i ] absent)... in which case
the entire array displays. If I try to assign the current array
value to another variable, within the loop, ahead of defining the
function, and use that in the showTip call, it displays the last
element of the array for all cases.
In the event that no one who knows why comes into play,
there's another way that you can skin this cat... Place your
buttons into movieclips (right click->convert to symbol, etc),
and use the loop to assign the tip text to a variable in the
movieclip. Your button code within the movieclip can be the same
for all cases, calling on that variable.

Demo data set for flash mapping

As specified in the MapViewer welcome page, what's the demo dataset which i need to import to view the Flash mapping demo.
Any help or suggestions will be appreciated.

In 10g, all demo programs are installed via separate companion CD. DM demo programs are part of the companion CD and you need to install the demos from there.

Looking for flash card software

Hi,
Does anyone know of some good software to generate flashcards (preferably including some games)? I'd like to include some flash cards in an e-lesson - but I don't want users directed out of the lesson or away from my website - the only flash card generators I can find store the flashcards on their own websites.
