Hi,
Currently I ask the designer to design a boxshot at http://www.datanumen.com/temp/psd/aar-2048x2048-new-revised.zip . The characters in the large version looks fine. However, when I resize it to a small version, then some characters in the header, such as “Advanced” and “Repair”, not only losing their details, but also seems to be distorted, like this http://www.datanumen.com/temp/psd/distort.jpg
So, I am looking for a way to prevent this, at least these characters should not be distorted, like this:

Maybe by changing the font, or changing the resize method.

You have a number of layers linked, which might well be causing the distortion. I had to use some font substitution so I hope I have it close. The V2.1 (which is one of the linked layers) is a touch misaligned with the box. Otherwise, try using a finer font for ACCESS

Looking for a way to speed up rendering when only changing a JPG in HD Video

Wondering if anyone can help. I have a movie that I render on a weekly basis for a business which has various HD video clips as well as a background JPG layer. Fundamentally, the video clip plays for 30 seconds followed by 30 seconds of the JPG, and this alternates for about 15 minutes. Every week I have to change the JPG to reflect what is current for that week, which means I have to re-render the entire project which is pretty time consuming. Is anyone familiar with a way to speed up this process? All help is greatly appreciated.

Perhaps you misunderstood. If I understand your process correctly, you have one video over one jpeg background that repeats and repeats.
My recommendation: don't render the same thing over and over again in AE. Render in AE ONCE, then take it into the editing app to repeat and repeat.

Looking for a way to export full Popularity Trends data

I'm looking for a way to access all "popularity trends" data for a SharePoint 2013 publishing site in one place. I'm probably missing something pretty basic here, (I hope), but it seems if I pull up popularity trends for the site, all I get is
the hits & unique users for the site as a whole. If I go into my pages library and choose "Most Popular Items," I'm given a search results page that I can't run reports from. And if I select the "popularity trends" link under one of
those search results, I get a usage report for a single, specific page.
I've thought about doing a multi-select of pages from my site's Pages library, but I have more than 100 pages in the site, so I still can't get at everything all at once. Plus, the resulting usage.xlsx file just includes a lot of reports on individual
pages.
There's got to be something more all-encompassing than this...right?

According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to see the all popularity trends data for a site.
Where did you export the usage report?
Did you export the report from Popularity and Search Reports?
To view the Popularity Trends report for a site collection
Verify that the user account that is performing this procedure is a member of the Owners group.
In the site collection, on the Settings menu, click Site ettings.
On the Site Settings page, in the Site Collection Administration section, click Popularity and Search Reports.
On the View Usage Reports page, in the Usage Reports section, click Usage.
In the message box, click Open to open the report in Excel, or click Save or Save as to save the report.
Click the tabs to view the usage report for the different usage event types.

Looking for a way to monitor forums for a text string.

Hi as the subject says I'm looking for a way to monitor various forums for a list of text strings and give me a link to the post. I'm have tried googling but cant find anything specific enough I've tried looking at methabot but am unsure as to if this is the right sort of program, anyone with any experience or ideas in this area would be much appreciated.

you could write a daemon method which would, every so often, search the forums for the keyword.
Better yet, you can use google's "site: bbs.archlinux.org keyword format to do your search.
But, be sure not to do it too often. If you keep banging a particular forum website too often, your ip might get banned.

Looking for a way to directly choose keyboard layout.

I'm looking for a way to organise separated keyboard keys combinations (or single keys - the best) for every keyboard layout. I want to be able to choose layout directly. One unique key (keys combination) for each layout.
One way may be smth. like setting a key to execute a command:
setxkbmap -layout "us,ru"
and
setxkbmap -layout "ru,us"
For keys setup in OpenBox may be used obkey, for example.
In general it works. But in such a case, when not latin/english layout is the first one, or even single one, in the command's layout list, applications will not react on Ctrl-S, Ctrl-Z and so on. It do not depend on current layout, it depend on the first entry in last sequence to be used in the layouts list.
I'm shure there are some other better ways to implement the idea. Please, give me advise: what a tool, or tool set to study and use?

Layout itself and layout switching mechanics are too different objects (or classes) in terms of programming. My suggestion isn't that you use the XkbOptions switch since this won't work for what you are asking. Instead, I'm recommending you use a little keyboard shortcut utility, xbindkeys and use that to issue the setxkbmap command I mentioned earlier. All you have to do is bind the shortcut to keys that don't change across keyboard layout changes (if you have a number pad, an easy solution is to use a modifier + one of these keys as it won't change). This isn't a toggle like the xorg.conf edit, but can switch to any layout you choose to bind in any order you choose to perform.

Find the still within an event clip, right mouse, select add still frame to project. Repeat for all the stills you want.
In Finder under pictures, you should find files for all the stills you created. Import them into Iphoto and there you have it.
There is probably an easier way but this is not too bad.

you are asking about Microsoft products and using a laptop, not a workstation Mac Pro.
The Numbers and Pages Apple Communities. or MS Community if you want those.
Importing and Exporting, but Numbers and Pages will not do a SAVE into other formats by default, and therefore have to keep using Export which is messy.
Changing your own thread midstream may not be ['thread hijack'] but it is like having the rug pulled out by changing the subject on us.
