  • HT1338 My Mac says updates were installed for Keynote, Pages & Numbers but when I check the versions they are still the old versions.

My Mac says updates were installed for Keynote, Pages & Numbers, however, the version number shows to be the old version...   If check for updates, it's telling me no updates are available...

The old versions are not removed when the new versions are installed. (The updates add features that improve cross-platform editing of files but remove many other features so the install leaves the old version in case the old features are important to you). If you look in your applications folder you should find both versions.

  • Clustering support for BEA Weblogic Enterprise for Solaris/SUN HA

              Hi,
Does BEA WLE 5.0.1/5.1 support SUN's SunCluster 2.X HA Framework for the Sun
              Enterprise set of Hardware?
If not - do you plan to provide support for it in any future releases?
              Thanks and regards

Look for WLS 10.3 under Oracle rather than BEA group.

  • In Weblogic admin server,in monitoring status the services status is SHUTDOWN,but the corresponding services are running fine

    Hi All,
In WebLogic server when we checked the health status through monitoring tab. Initially ,we find the Analytic provider services and Essbase Administrative services were UNKNOWN.
we tried restarting the specific services (stopped and started the "Stop Analytic Provider services(Oracle Weblogic 10)" ,"Stop Essbase Administration services (Oracle Weblogic 10)" ).it has no effect still the status remains same as "UNKNOWN". But the services are running fine and the EAS console also working fine. After that,we restarted the weblogic  hosting server. Now the status changed as "SHUTDOWN". Now also the services are running fine and the EAS console also working fine. How to make the health status of both the services to be RUNNING and why it is showing like this eventhough the services are working fine.?
We have gone through the Oracle Document ID:1563358 which we felt relevant to this. Please guide through whether to apply patches. Our weblogic server version is 10.3.6.0.

    Hi,
Patches in this document Doc ID 1563358.1 belongs to weblogic versions from 10.3.4 to 12.1.1  so is it your weblogic version is within this range?
Kindly check your weblogic version using below commands.
    cd $DOMAIN_HOME/bin
    . ./setDomainEnv.sh
    $ java Weblogic.version
    Or for detail
    $ java Weblogic.version –verbose

  • The bar icon for downloading that appears next to "trash" and the "bootcamp" icon are gone.   How do I get them back?

This format confuses me.   I intended to simply ask a question but then this discussion window opened up and my question appears as though it were a topic.
Can we ask a question without beginning a discussion?   Then I am chided for trying to post a "blank message".   I am only asking a question.   What is all this talk of messages anyway?
My question is:   The icon next to "trash" that shows downloading is gone.  The bootcamp icon is also gone.   How do I get them both back.
    Thanks

    Welcome,
If you are refering to the Dock Icon which showed you your Downloads folder then open a Finder Window on your Home folder and drag the Downloads folder to the dock. It will create an Icon for the folder.
Not sure about the Bootcamp icon, don;t use it but if there is a Bootcamp folder the procedure should be the same.
    regards
BTW Starting a discussion is the same as asking a question.

  • We were in England for 6 wks and now everything opens in the uk, we are back to the states and I want to have it open with all the US addresses

I do not understand why it did this because I did nothing manually to change it to the UK addresses but it did it on its own and now that we are back it is still coming up with the Uk addresses on everything. How do I get it to go back to the US addresses?

  • What's the fix for this CS4 message: One or more of the pages specified are not valid page names

I'm trying to export two pages (a spread) as a PDF. I've tried a number of times, using various techniques, including exporting first to a .imx file. Each time I get this message: One or more of the pages specified are not valid page names.
How can I get this to work?
I can't attach the file because it is 11MB.
    Thanks,

Are you using sections in your document? That may mess up your pagenumbering while exporting pages as spreads. Try to put + to front of page numbers... like  +12-+13 (into Export dialog´s page range field)
Another option is go to Preferences > General and change pagenumbering view method from Section Numbering to Absolute Numbering.

  • Location of dtd for weblogic 92 for weblogic.xml

    Hi:
Can anybody gives me the location of the dtd for the weblogic.xml file for weblogic 92.
I can't seem to find it on google.

    Edited by jadeite100 at 03/23/2007 6:59 AM

In 9.x there are no DTDs as everything is now schema based. You can find the schemas here:http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90/**.xsd
So for your weblogic.xml for your weblogic-web-app you can find the xsd at:
    http://www.bea.com/ns/weblogic/90/weblogic-web-app.xsd
    Hope this helps!

  • Weblogic Admin server - Configuration/Server Start/Arguments ignored?

    Hi,
I'm trying to specify a http proxy for a WebLogic Admin Server in order for an application to access external resources. I've placed the settings into the "Server Configuration / Server Start / Arguments", and verified that they have been saved into the config/config.xml file for that domain:
    <server-start>
    <arguments>-Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080</arguments>
    <password-encrypted>[XXXX]</password-encrypted>
    </server-start>
However, no matter how I start the server, these settings are ignored despite that the documentation states these should be added to the java command line.
    starting weblogic with Java version:
    java version "1.6.0_19"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_19-b04)
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 16.2-b04, mixed mode)
    Starting WLS with line:
    C:\PROGRA~1\Java\JDK16~1.0_1\bin\java -client -Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:CompileThreshold=8000 -XX:PermSize=128m -XX:MaxPermSize=256m -Dweblogic.Name=AdminServer -Djava.security.policy=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server\lib\weblogic.policy -Xverify:none -da -Dplatform.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3 -Dwls.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.home=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\WLSERV~1.3\server -Dweblogic.management.discover=true -Dwlw.iterativeDev= -Dwlw.testConsole= -Dwlw.logErrorsToConsole= -Dweblogic.ext.dirs=C:\Oracle\MIDDLE~1\patch_wls1032\profiles\default\sysext_manifest_classpath weblogic.Server
As a test I created a new managed server in the same domain, specifying the same startup properties, and they were picked up during startup.
If I manually place the settings into the bin/setDomainEnv.cmd batch file for the domain they are also picked up and work.
Is there an undocumented restriction on Admin Servers that they ignore the "Server Start / Arguments" setting, or is there something else I can check as to why this is not working?
    Many thanks,
    - Micha.

Umm... I already pasted the relevant snippet out of the config.xml, but following is the entire file. The startup arguments, as specified in the admin console, are:
    -Dhttp.proxyHost=[XXXXXXXX] -Dhttp.proxyPort=8080
which matches what is saved in the config.xml.

  • Jndi exception using weblogic.Admin

I was trying out the commands offered by weblogic.Admin to manage the packaged petstore server. I tried the following command and got jndi exception (null):
command:java weblogic.Admin -url petstoreServer.com:7001 GET -pretty -type Server
Error:Exception in thread "main" java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: JNDI naming exception: null

    at weblogic.management.commandline.CommandLine.<init>(CommandLine.java:69)
    at weblogic.Admin.main(Admin.java:689)
I checked in the console. A jndi name for petstoreServer does exist.

The current WebLogic 6.0 Beta-1 documentation incorrectly specifies the following in its example.
java weblogic.Admin -url xyz.com:7001 GET -pretty -type Server
This example falsely gives the impression that you must append ".com" to your host name. We will correct the document in the next revision to look like:
java weblogic.Admin -url hrserver:7001 GET -pretty -type Server
The -url petstoreServer.com:7001 parameter is incorrect. The command requires you to specify the <HostName>:<PortNumber> for the -url parameter.

  • Creating a Global Role using weblogic.Admin command

    Hi,
Does anyone have an example of creating a global role using the weblogic.Admin commands? I think I have to use the INVOKE command with the DefaultRoleMapper and createRole method, but I'm not quite sure what the rest of the syntax is.
    Thanks,
    Gabriel

    Gabriel,
    The following works for me:
weblogic.Admin -url t3://localhost:80 -username weblogic -password weblogic INVOKE -mbean "Security:Name=myrealmDefaultRoleMapper" -method createRole "" "MyGlobalRole" "Grp(Administrators)" ""
The null first parameter identifies this role as a global role.
The second param is the name of the role.
The third parameter is the policy expression. Here, I've mapped the role to the Administrators group. You can also map it to users or a combo of the two. For example, to map it to the "weblogic" user, use "Usr(weblogic)" as the policy expression. If you leave this parameter empty, the role will be created but will not be mapped to anything.
I'm not sure what the fourth parameter is for. It's not defined in the RoleEditorMBean docs but not including it causes an error. I suspect it's a description field because WLS does not seem to care what you put there.
    HTH,
    Mike

  • Weblog Admin Console

    Hi.
It used to be possible to turn on the weblog admin console in blojsom by deleting the # sign in the "flavor.properties" file for a weblog and then going online to the page weblog/yourweblogname/?flavor=admin.
I'm running OS X server 10.4.5 and although there are some great upgrades in this from the previous version (full podcast support with itunes store integration, etc.), I miss the old blojsom admin console. Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but how do I get it enabled and then access it? The old instructions here no longer apply:
    http://www.theappleblog.com/2005/07/03/apples-blog-server/
    New instructions, please? Thanks.

I was able to turn on the admin consolse on a OS X 10.4.5 server in the manner you suggest - uncomment the admin flavor in the users's flavor.properties file.
