Looking for a working app lock for BB Torch.

My kids love to use my phone. I want an app that has the option of locking sms, pictures or other media. The app I bought, totally didn't work. I thought it worked fine, asks for passwords, then when I got a text message I clicked on the new text message icon in the notification bar and it took me straight to all text messages and also gave the option of sending pictures and media. Totally defeated the purpose. Is there such an app out there that will do what these others on the blackberry app world claim to do? I'm terribly dissapointed.

You would have to search the app store, however I'm not aware of any app that will lock multiple apps. There is nothing native in the iOS that allows for locking individual apps or all apps. Feedback to Apple goes HERE, and then click on the appropriate link.

There is no proper app for App locker.. All other OS having Apps for app locker.. That only will help to prevent the messages and privacy from others. But for Windows there is no app locker softwares are available.. One of my frinds bought nokia lumia 730 and and returned to purchased show room and saying that this is not for security purpose phone,, So please enable the app locker for all the Windows phone

App Lock for Windows 8

Is there an app to lock applications and wifi for the windows 8 phones. I need to be able to lock access to my wifi on my phone. Android has an app called app lock that does this.

I got billed for an in app purchase for an app thats not on my phone. What should I do ?

My Apple account is only one phone. I got charge ten dollars for in app purchases made my a toddler. I than removed that app. The app is gone. I wasn't even on my phone when I got a email saying I was billed for 3 in app purchases from an app thats not on my phone. What should I do or should I ask is their anything I can do ?

Blend for Visual Studio's HTML/CSS WYSIWYG editor only usable for Windows 8 apps, NOT for web apps?

Hi there,
In the process of learning Visual Studio (VS) and ASP.NET, I initially thought that I could use Blend for VS's seemingly great HTML/CSS WYSIWYG editor to visually design the HTML pages and CSS for a web app developped with VS, whether it be with ASP.NET MVC
or Django (using Python Tools for Visual Studio).
But now it dawned on me that Blend for VS seems to only be meant to design HTML/CSS for native Windows
8 apps, and not
web apps.
Can someone confirm that this is indeed the case?

PS: Maybe this a dumb newbie question, but from the outside, it seems rather counter-intuitive to offer a top-notch tool for web
standards (HTML/CSS) edition (Blend for VS), all integrated with a top-notch tool for web development (VS) but prohibiting the web developer community to leverage the productivity gains of both
the former and the integration. This is especially puzzling given that the latest components of the ASP framework (MVC, SPA projects):
- Pushes for reliance on HTML elements and CSS instead of ASP elements and Skin files;
- VS apparently also does not provide a visual design page view for ASP.MVC projects, which is sure to make many development teams wary of migrating from web forms to MVC.

I believe this the case, but I'm not familiar with asp.net development. As you point out: html is html so you can edit and copy the code. That said, the Windows Store apps forums are specifically about writing Windows Store apps. For discussion

Refund For Non-Working App

It seems impossible to get a refund for apps now.
I bought an app for my ipad and it's sister app for the iphone. After installation you find out to get them to work as advertised you need to purchase more from within the app. (which is nowhere on the advertisment for the apps). Although a bit annoyed I did purchase it though.
The app on both does not work properly and I have contacted the developer several time without any reply.
I tried to report a problem with the in app purchase but that took me to the external Apple contact.
I tried to report a problem with both apps but just got the message to report it to the developer. He/she isn't responding and I want my money back now!!!!
They don't make it easy to get a refund. Anybody know how to do it?

To contact Support go to https://expresslane.apple.com ; select 'iTunes' in the first column and then 'iTunes Store' in the second column. If they've sold you an app which doesn't work you ought to be able to get a refund - you may have to ask to have it escalated to a more senior helper.

Activation did not work, apps asking for serial number

Started a trail of a number of CC apps. When trial ran out, I purchased the monthly full suite service. All of my apps now require signing in, which results in an unrecognised serial (which I don't even get a chance to enter) and then asks for me to enter in a serial, which I have never been given. My understanding is that CC does not use serials, only my AdobeID.

OK, so I started going though these things and got stuck here:
Log in as an administrator to edit the hosts file in Mac OS.
In a Finder window, choose Go > Go To Folder.
Type /etc.
Select the hosts file and open it.
Back up the hosts file: Choose File > Save As, save the file as hosts.backup, and then click OK.
Search the hosts file for entries that reference activate.adobe.com (for example, 127.0.0.1 activate.adobe.com) and delete these entries.
Save and close the file.
Number "c." just says "select the hosts file" without telling you what the hell the hosts file is!!! And I cannot find anything there to do with Adobe

Are you sure you need an app? Could you do this with an internal web site? You can use mobile styles and it would be indistinguishable from an app.

I've built a flash ios app that relies on the input from 5 keys to function. I'm using Flash CS6 and AIR 13.0.0.111 for iOS. The app wont recognize the input from my bluetooth keyboard though.
This code works until loaded onto the iPhone:

Try to add StageText, tap on it and try to edit text using your keyboard. Could StageText hook keyboard input?

Asking for payment on App Store for free app then won't accept my card saying payment declined even tho there is money in my account and I have never had any problems in last with it

SSD: for OS and apps, or for samples and audio?

I'm thinking about adding a 256 gig solid state drive; I currently have two 1TB drives. I tend to use large sample-based instruments - Play, Ivory, Vienna, Kontakt, Omnisphere, etc. - but not particularly great track counts. If I used it as the startup disk, 256 gigs would be way more than enough (because audio and video files are on other disks.) As a sample disk it would hold my most demanding and most often used libraries.
What would be the most efficient use of that SSD speed - OS and apps, or streaming samples and audio?

Using the advanced Options (control click the active admin account) in the accounts pane in System Preferences, one can specify a new location for the home folder. Very practical and way easier than trying to go into all the app's libraries to tell them where their files are.
Now I can just copy my home folder to the internal drive, and delete it on the SSD. After a restart, this new location will be recognized as the correct home folder.

Flash CS6 How to set up pages for an animated app/book for children

I'm quite experienced with flash/ middle ground in AS3 for flash player, but would like now to make apps using AIR. I have two questions:
1 - Could anyone tell me how to create pages for an animated book (such as Alice on the ipad, etc)?
• Should I create all pages on the main timeline, in different frames, or should I use a loader for each time the user turns the page? and how to put a "flip" page effect?
2 - I don't understand how AIR compiles. All the files should be in the library or there is some sort of "root" folder for dynamic download? (for music, pictures, video etc)
• When you create an app do you put all your objects in the timeline? Instantiate at runtime with ActionScript? how this affects performance?

You can't enter sites in a list to make Firefox remember names and passwords for specific sites.
If the password manager is enabled (remember passwords is check-marked) then Firefox will ask via a pop-up from the key icon that appears on the location bar whether you want to remember that name and password and that name will then appear in the list in the password manager window.
