Looking for AIR app with the following features

This list of functionalities is so common I thought I'd check to see if anyone knows an opensource or even commericial app with the following features.
Access User's File System
Drag & Drop Upload
Does anyone know of an AIR project that already exists?
I could write this myself but I'd rather not reinvent the wheel with a 2 week deadline.

I'm very sorry that your husband's PowerShot SD1100 IS was stolen!
The SD camera line has been replaced by the PowerShot ELPH lineup. These cameras are improved in a number of important ways, such as better zoom lenses, and sensitivity to light for existing light photography.
I recommend that you consider the PowerShot ELPH 310 HS. This camera has an 8x optical zoom lens (vs. 3x for the PowerShot SD1100 IS), has a higher ISO of 3200 (vs. 1600) for low light photography and shoots video in "full" high definition (1920 x 1080 resolution) (vs. 640 x 480).
Please note: none of the cameras in this group of cameras includes the optical viewfinder you had on the PowerShot SD1100 IS,

Customer is looking for sample template with the check on the bottom of the page, anyone know of one? Their Bank doesn't like the check on the top of the page because when you rip the check from the stub is sometimes rips the microline. -Thanks

I'm looking for a music player with the following features:

I'm setting up a linux desktop for the first time. I'd like some directions on finding a music player. Here are my criteria, in order of importance:
- Can play (at least) ogg, mp3 and wav
- Prefers a 'playlist approach' (m3u) to a 'media library' approach
- Can play songs without breaks in-between
- Fast startup
- Simple interface (ex. VLC beats mplayer)
My window manager is pekwm. This is for usability reasons, not performance reasons - my comp. can handle all the bells and whistles you throw at it (actually, I tried with my doorbell, but I wouldn't recommend with the church bell). (sorry for the bad humour). Crazy visualisations and features whose sole purposes are to eat up CPU cycles are O.K.
Good support for keyboard would be appreciated - I am a pekwm user.
So what have you got?

MPD rocks, runs here for months without major problems.
The client side is very flexible, you can choose many players:

Modify installation procedure for AIR apps with new certificates?

Hey all,
My company just got a signed certificate for the AIR application I've been working on. Unfortunately, when users try to install this new version, they get the following error message now:
I understand why this is: The application doesn't recognize the one with the old certificate and won't forcibly override it.

My boss wants me to find a way to make the transition between certificates seamless (ie. just reinstall over the old one as if they both had the same certificate - no uninstall, no save to new location, no unusual tasks for the users). Is this possible? If so, how? I know it's a heck of a question to ask

You should never let your certificate expire before renewing it or getting a new one.
Did you get a new certificate or renew the old one?
If new, then your users must uninstall the old version and then install your new version. Any data your apps stores in the EncryptedLocalStore will be inaccessible. Any files your application has stored in the application storage directory will have to be copied to the new storage directory by the updated app.
If you renewed the certificate, then presumably you are getting this error because the Certificate Authority has changed their own certificates used to sign their issued certs. If this is the case, they might (for some thousands of dollars) be willing to perform a key ceremony to bring the old certificate out of retirement and reissue your new certificate so that it has the same identity as the old one.

Multiple AIR apps with the same local cache?

Hi guys,
Is it possible to create multiple AIR apps (for mobile & desktop) that can use the same local cache?
For example: 2 apps for iPad will use the same data store (local cache). If we synchronize (with LCDS) and get all the data for 1 application, if we open the second application, can we access the data set from the other application?

Eventhough I think it is techincally not possible, even if it was I would not recommend doing this. I think this is asking for problems and you can wait for the day that somebody messes up your production system, thinking it is DEV.
I would use names like DEV_Oracle_BI_DW_Base and PRD_Oracle_BI_DW_Base, to clearly distinguish between the environments. But then again, I think Informatica forces you to use different names.

Looking for photo frame with lots of features

Look for ipad photo frame app. One that will let me display pics from various sources, like facebook, my servers in the home, flickr.

I tried many apps, but I narrowed it down to... Iphonso.com Air Frame.
It lets you view your facebook photos or friends', flickr via a bunch of categories, or enter tags. It includes your local photos.
It does not have the ability yet to to include your network shares, but I am hoping they include this in the next version.
So now looking at pics that are being streamed in from remote site, and at the same time listening to music that is also streamed in (via Home Sharing). Bliss.

Looking for a digital (small) camera that would allow me to see myself when taking a photo without having to flip the camera completely around... Are there any suggestions on where I should start to look/recommendations? New to the camera world!

How much do you want to spend? What do you think about the D5200? With a DSLR sensor, the image quality will be incredible compared to an iPhone. Need more light? Just add an external flash.

Paid Project: Looking for some help with the AddressBookUI Framework

I am looking for someone with experience accessing contacts using the AddressBook related frameworks. I am able to call up the contacts modal view using the ABPeoplePickerNavigationController, but am having problems accessing the variables in the "person" "property" and/or "identifier" properties.
I am working from within the shouldContinueAfterSelectingPerson:person:property:identifier method. When the user taps on a phone number or other element in the picker, I want to pass the information as a string to a variable in my program.
If someone knows how to do this, and can help, let me know. I would love free advice, but also don't mind paying for your time. If I can get past this thing, I can move on with the rest of the program.

Looking for an App with 'Post-It Note'-Type Capability

I facilitate multi-day workshops, and frequently have to lug overstuffed four-inch binders around with me. Sometimes more than one.
The challenge here is, I have to modify the pages each time I facilitate, based on client specifics, new learnings/research, etc. I have a system where I have five different colours of Post-It notes that I swap in and out on the pages. Some pages have had the same Post-Its on them for years, some change weekly.
What would be ideal would be, is if I could scan the pages - without the Post-It notes on them - and load them on my iPad, and then add some kind of virtual Post-It notes to each page. (Of course, I'd need my five colours). So some way to add colour-coded notes that are editable and re-positionable to a PDF is exactly what I'd like to see.
Surely such a thing exists!

iAnnotate looks pretty good, but for highlighting. And it's ten bucks just to try it... Wish there was a trial option. Good Reader also looks worth exploring.
Alright, now I know what I'm doing this weekend.

Well I am trying to use is and have now got it working. I what to have a hyperlink to the page in my application that is the detail of the pice of the row in the timeline.

I got a link to a 2nd Apex page working some time back. I included my link by appending something like this to the main chunk of text:

I think you could just use the documented "link" attribute though ( htp.p('link="' ||' http://www.yahoo.co.uk"'); )
The final step I needed was to close the pop-up edit form after submit. Solution also came from this forum. On the page #2, Optional URL Redirect > URL > URL Target "javascript:{doSubmit('SAVE');window.opener.location.reload();window.close();}"
Also - the 2nd page has an unconditional branch back to the main timeline page, so it refreshes after submitting the detail page.

This happens 100% of the time.

I have the same problem. It ask for all elements that proxt detects ("NetworkError: 407 Proxy Authentication Required").
Solution "No proxy" not works because i aslo require internet.
I have version 10.0.2 on windwos XP, and this happens to me since I update it. On chrome and ie works without prompt.
I upload and example, this page calls facebooks elements (i can't acces facebook) and others, for each element prompt proxy is shown.
