Looking for an earlier version of Skype

Hi, The new version (7.0) is not to my liking. The messaging interface is worse in my opinion, even though it looks better, i'm used to the old version. Firstly, i wish to downgrade to the older interface, and secondly, i wish to be notified of Skype updates before it happens. Can anyone help? I tried uninstalling and installing older versions at http://skype.en.downloadastro.com/old_versions/ but it just downloaded the newest version. I just want the older interface back, at least the messaging system (regardless of the new version looking good). Thank you.

I HATE the new version which has been downloaded when I didn't ask for it. Please Skype stop doing this, always ask before updating!

I purchased and downloaded Photoshop Elements 13 via Amazon, and discovered it's not compatible with my Macbook Pro operating system (10.6.8). Will Adobe allow me to exchange it for an earlier version (11) that is compatible with my Mac OS?

That's how Time Machine and iPhoto now work. Restore the library to one of the external HDs, check it for the photos you want, export them to the boot drive and delete the restored library.
If you know the file name of the photo you're looking for you can search for them in the TM backup using Find Any File.
My workflow allows me to do that:
1 - upload new photos to a folder on the Desktop.
2 - name the folder to represent the contents and date: 01/03/10-Toads Bday
3 - use a file renaming app to sequentially rename the photos in the folder to: 2010-01-03-Toads Bday-001.JPG, -002,JPG, -003.JPG, etc.
4 - import the folder into iPhoto creating an Event with the same title as the folder.
Now I can search for those file by file name with any app of my choosing.

Can I get hold of the setup file for an earlier version of Desktop Manager

I've been using my Blackberry Bold 9700 trouble free for well over 18 months now. The other day I was prompted to upgrade the OS to level 6, which I did with no problem. I then noticed that there was also an upgrade for the Desktop Manager software. I also upgraded this (to version 6). I'm now really wishing I hadn't....
Ever since the upgrade I get the BSOD upon initially connecting my BB. I uninstalled the desktop manager and did a complete reinstall. This, if anything made matters worse as I then found that any USB device would cause the BSOD once I plugged it in.
The only way I've been able to solve this is by totally uninstalling the Desktop Manager and then also going and uninstalling and then reinstalling all the USB controllers from the Windows device manager.
All I really need the desktop manager for is to tether my BB to get internet acces when I'm off site, and I'd really like to go back to the earlier version but cannot find anywhere to download the setup file.
I'm running XP Pro by the way. It's obviously an incompatibility with something on specifically on my laptop which is causing the problem. I tried installing Desktop Manager 6 onto another laptop running XP Pro and it seems to be fine on there. I've not really got the time to mess around with this much more though so would prefer just to downgrade back to the previous version on this laptop if someone could point me in the right direction to get hold of the setup file.

OSD TS looking for previous package version, not finding it.

Yesterday, I upgraded our SCCM environment from 2012 R2 to 2012 R2 CU3.
I am currently unable image most machines (only VM's work, for some reason) as the TS is failing with the error about it not being able to find the package xxx00002, which is our Configuration Manager Client package. As a part of the CU3 upgrade, it
initiated a update on this package, taking it from version 10 to version 11. All distribution points now have the version 11 package.
My pain point is that the task sequences we are attempting to reimage with are failing when looking for version 10 of the package. Snippet below. I'm hoping someone has some ideas on how I can resolve this or has seen it before. I tried
changing the package in the 'Setup Windows and Configmgr' step to another package, saving, and changing it back, to no avail.

Yes. They have version 11.
In the meantime, I have created a new Configuration Manager Client package and swapped it out with successful results, as might be obvious.
Most likely, I'll simply update the package on the distribution points to resolve it permanently (to version 12). It's just not a quick fix for us as we have
a lot of distribution points. Sending down another copy, since the files are already there in content library, won't require nearly as much WAN traffic or time. We'll swap the task sequences back once
we update XXX00002 to version 12.

Looking for a trial version of Premiere Pro CS6 (or Production Premium CS6)

I suppose much has changed since Creative Suites started going to Creative Cloud. I can't say that I am pleased with the idea, but it seems to be making my search for an upgrade rather difficult. I've been considering updating my Production Premium 5.5 to PP CS6 but figure a trial version of at least Premiere Pro CS6 makes sense. I can't find the traditional trial download anywhere.. except maybe on the cloud pages. Anybody know where I can get a trial without all the tribulations? Also, I'm curious about how other editors feel about Adobe and Premiere going to CC?

Looking for an old version of Adobe Reader

Hi there,
I know it might not be the right place to ask but I'll give it a shot anyway. We need to install an exam server/client software that seems to be tied to a specific version of Adobe Reader (ie. 6.0) during the installation.
I contacted the software support and they recommended that just for the installation I should roll back to Adobe Reader 6.0 to satisfy the hardcoded dependency. After the installation I can install the latest version of the Reader.
This is far from ideal but there's no other option. We have to use this exam platform.
Now I can't find any place where I could download version 6.0. I stumbled upon some websites but they look somewhat dodgy. Is there any (semi)official source of archived versions of Adobe Reader so I could download version 6?
Alternatively, can you recommend any website that will not budle it with malware, etc.?

Looking for 64 bit version of firefox, pre-release or Beta ok

I have Win7 Pro 64bit. Was having issues with continuous crashing of flash. I installed Adobe Flash Square version10 64bit with Firefox version4, reduced # of flash crashes.
When firefox pushed out version 5, I installed it & the browser kept dragging/crashing all over again. looked up Adobe Flash Square to see if any info avail, Adobe had Adobe Flash Square version11 64bit, so I uninstalled version 10 prior to installing version11 per Adobe instructions. Although it has helped, it is not where it was prior to installing Firefox 5.
I have tested Firefox 5 with the current Adobe Flash 32bit release as well, and what can I say, it's not work the effort on my 64bit system. for some reason this combo maxes out my cpu (2.8 dual core) & memory (4 gb + virtual), causing me to hard boot my system.
I understand Firefox devs are working on a 64bit version for Windows. I would like to volunteer to test it. I have many years of SW design & QA experience so any bugs I find I will fully document.
The 64bit version of IE works well with the 64bit Flash, lots better than 32bit version, but I prefer to use Firefox or Chrome (I often utilize both simultaneously, each on own screen).
Please let me know if a 64bit version of Firefox is available (pre-release/beta ok) & if it is not is there an expected availability date?

Nightly is a pre-release testing version of Firefox: bleeding edge and not necessarily stable. It is Firefox -- a rose by any other name, and all -- but it is buggy, as all testing software is (I'm using it right now). New Firefox versions are born from Nightly, so when a 64-bit version of Firefox is released, it will have come from Nightly development. Use it for general browsing and send feedback (Tools -> Options -> Advanced -> General) and you will be helping to beta test a new baby Firefox.

Looking for the right version 11 for me?

Looking around for Acrobat 11. I am upgrading my 7. I Know I am gonna have to buy 11. Of course I want the best price and have been looking around, or procrastinating, depending on how you look at it. But I need to get it now. Since it's been forever and I am not buying a subscription. I am thinking my old 7 pro would now be the 11 standard. The current pro version is more for sharing online and I don't need that. I see a price here http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html?promoid=JOLIR for $139.00 and it says "to upgrade" and I need to know if that is gonna work like , say a full version because I know I cannot upgrade my version 7 or is that like to upgrade from a more recent version to version 11. Unfortunately at this point you would need to buy a 'full-version' not an upgrade. As the upgrade would not work with your Acrobat 7.
