Looking for an online bit calculator

What's the best way of determining bit rate for long form jobs. I do between 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours 20 minutes?
I am interested in 2 pass mainly. I will be using FCP6 & converting to m2v-ac3 in compressor then bringing into DVD studio pro4 for authoring. 3 pages of 12-15 chapters motion menus.
NTSC, DV, 8 core mac, 8 gigs ram, 3 drives raid0
What on line calculator could you suggest??
Steve from NY.

Steve:
... and if you want an online option: * Bitrate Calculator *.
Hope that helps !

    Hi,
I'm looking for a online private tutor for teaching me Adobe Premiere Elements 8 through  remote cessions and Skype.
Willing to pay a good price for good tuition!
Please contact me asap if you can help.
    Thanks,
    J Sussholz

    Jacqui,
I stongly believe that Steve has given you the best advice. Actually, it's the same advice that I would have given you, if I had seen your post first!
I can verify that his books will give you more info, and in a more usable form, than tutoring, or even in-class, hands-on schooling will. Almost anything that can be done with the program (he also has a companion book for Photoshop Elements, which is often bundled with PrE) is covered in easy to understand detail.
After reading through, and working along, his second bit of advice, Muvipix, is also sound. Between this, and Muvipix fora (Community tab), there have been very few questions that could not be answered. Muvipix also is a great resource for additional articles on how things are done, plus tutorials.
I also recommend that one take an hour and read through both the FAQ and Tips & Tricks articles, found to the right of the PrE forum main page. I would read Steve's book first, so terms, etc. would be most clear.
There are two on-line training sites, that get great reviews: www.lynda.com and www.ltotaltraining.com. I have not subscribed to either, but have used the materials furnished from them with various Adobe programs. I also have several of the lynda.com books on various programs, and they are well-written. Now, they are NOT one-on-one tutoring, which is what you are looking for. They also probably do not cover PrElements, but that is just my guess. If they do, they would be another good source of training, though it's through tutorials, and not direct instruction.
This is just my 02¢'s worth of thought.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

  • Looking for an online LR3 gallery that allows clients to give feedback.

Tried FSS Select from LightroomGalleries but no luck (I only get an endless "loading gallery"). I just want something simple that would allow clients to provide feedback (comments/picks/ratings) on a series of photos I just took for them.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks very much!

Wonderful - thanks a lot for the suggestions.

  • Looking for iBA-friendly scientific calculator widget

    Hi there
I am working on a widget for a maths book sample, and want to include a scientific calculator within one. The problem is, all the ones I have found are either too small for use on a iPad (the buttons are too small) or when I use the calculator with the iBook, upon a button press on the calculator the keyboard flies out covering up half the screen.
    Any ideas/resources? – thanks.

Why dont you use apple's standard calculator? Just put calc into the spotlight and it will appear. If its just the standard claculator, go into "view" and you will have the option to use it scientifically. Just keep it in your dock. Good Luck.

  • Looking for Demo Assistance/Someone to Ask Questions

    Hello all,
Our company is looking into RoboHelp 10.  However, I have tried multiple times to request a demo from Adobe's sales department and was always passed to support, who passed me back to sales and so on.  The last person I was able to contact in support let me know they don't do demos of this product.  The guy mentioned just trying out the trial version and setting it up to see if we like it and if we don't, no worries.  Well, we don't have the time or the resources to just try it out to see if it's something we can use.  We are seriously looking for an online help system.
So with that said, would anyone be interested in sharing how you are using RoboHelp 10 for your clients and maybe talk some features and ease of use of this system.  If so, I would be very grateful for any help so that we can decide if this is something we will want to use.
Hopefully, you can send me a private message and I can send them back, so that we can connect.
    Thank you so much!
    Kimberly
P.S.  We are a software company (SAAS) with over 600 clients.

I've been using RoboHelp10 for about a year and a half.  I would be glad to talk to you.
However, I don't know how to send a private message.
    Rob.

  • Do you have Fire fox for windows 64 bit operating systems?

apparently some downloads look for windows 64 bit browsers which this one is load into programs (x86) 32 bit compatibility folder, could you guys create one that will load into the 64 bit folder? (like explorer)

There are no Win64 release builds yet and may not be for at least the first half of 2013.
Those unstable Nightly test builds mentioned above are not officially supported (tier 2 when most are tier 1) as they are more to catch breakage as it is possible to break Win64 without breaking Win32.
In fact the today win64 build of 20.0a1 is crash prone (will not stay open for more than a few seconds) to show it is a use at your own risk.

  • Looking for online collaboration

Forgive me if this is the wrong place for a post like this, but I'm feeling a little bit lost. I bought an iMac for Garageband, and I am now looking to find people who use the same software as I do with the same musical interests as me for some online collaboration. Ideally some people who would be interested in shuffling songs back and forth while each laying down our own tracks.. metal/rock influenced, but open to anything musical and fun.
I've tried searching the web but haven't really found anything specific to Mac/garageband. Anyone know of any garageband communities for likeminded people?
    Thanks!

definitely the wrong place, this is a tech support forum. check out:

    Hi @RUkiddingme
You can download the full feature software and driver, and only install the basic driver. In the installation you should see the option for custom software. Here is the link to download the software; rw2_021_w02_enu.exe

  • Looking for a specific 8-bit synth plugin

There was one I found a while ago (maybe a year or so) that had a lot of Nintendo-type preset sounds. At the time, it wasn't Leopard compatible so I didn't keep it on my system. I've done some searching and checked out a couple plugins since including Magical 8-bit plugin and Chip32, but none have had the wealth of presets that first one did. I know I can recreate any of the sounds I want using those or Logic's own plugs, but I have a small project with a tight turnaround and haven't really worked with this kind of stuff before. Anyone have any idea which plugin I'm looking for? I know my description doesn't give you a whole lot, but if you know any such plugins that had more specific presets than just "square," "triangle," etc. I'd love to check them out. Thanks.

Thanks for both those suggestions. I believe the one I'm thinking of was freeware, but those two do look pretty solid.

  • Looking for APO training in Detroit area or online

    Hello.
I am brand new to SAP, and hoping to learn APO and combine it with my profesisonal experience for a new career direction. I have included a brief summary of my experience and education at the end of this post.
I am looking for a quality online /eLearning course for APO or a live course in the Detroit area to supplement my official SAP Education USA courses. I am much in need of SAP system access / lab setting for practicing etc.
I have taken SAP01 through SAP Education USA, and scheduled for:
SCM130     SAP R/3 Planning and Manufacturing Overview
SCM200     Business Processes in Planning (SCM)
    Thank you,
    Brian
    Brief background:
*Brand new to SAP, and not currently working with it
*Experienced Supply Chain / manufacturing professional, exculsively in a Big Three automotive company (non-manager)
    *MBA, (Supply Chain Management concentration)
    *MS, Information Technology Management
*Process experience in EDI, JIT, lean, planning, forecasting, scheduling, material releasing
*Cross functional experience in logistics, purchasing, sales and marketing (demand and volume planning)
*Excellent system / technology skills including experience with i2 Integrated Volume Planning (IVP) and Gateline Optimization Product (GOP)

    Hi Brian,
It is unfortunate but there are no real reliable people for teaching particularly APO. The best bet I would say is sap itself. It is worth every penny. I searched for people all over US and burnt my hands few places as well as they took money but did not teach even what they said.  APO itself if fairly new and very few people expertise in it.
Read the material first before going to the certification. I am sure with your background, you should be able to grab the topics fairly easily.I think the only uphill task for you is to understand how SAP deal with the supply chain not understanding the topics of SCM.
    All the best.
