Looking for anyone with the Belkin Auto Kit for iPod...

I am having trouble with this auto adapter in that when I play throough the audio jack on the charger, I get skipping/clipping of my music. If I plug directly into my in dash unit and bypass the audio of the Belkin unit, it plays fine. I have already exchanged the Belkin unit once...
Anyone else experience this?

Belkin Auto Kit Compatible with iPhone?

I've been reading here that the output voltage for the firewire iPod chargers are different from what the iPhone needs, and may damage it. So now I'm wondering if the Belkin Auto Kit outputs something that's too high too. Does anyone know the answer? The output value wasn't on the prodcut, so I tried calling Belkin technical support, but the guy said they didn't have any information on it there.

At this time if the Product is not carried in the Apple Store not much information I can provide. But you would want to ensure the Manufacture says that it is Made for iPhone. And it sounds like you called Belkin Technical Support and they were unable to provide an answer at this time.
You may wish to wait a little while longer before testing it, or go to the Apple Store and check out the Approved Products that work with iPhone.

Small CF card reader that works with the iPad Camera Kit?

I'm looking for a small (not much bigger than a CF card) CF Card reader that works with the iPad Camera kit (USB piece) - Anyone know of one?
All the ones I see people suggesting are big and bulky (made for a desktop). I know there are many smaller ones, but that the iPad camera kit doesn't work with everyone. Anyone know one that works with it?

My set up, quite compact for travel, this is a no brand version but I have seen other ones branded Integra or something similar.

Sony cyber shot, getting the memory due to work with the iPad camera kit

Has anyone been able to find this SD card / memory stick adapter? I checked with Amazon and can not locate.
My issue is Im leaving for England on Saturday so I have a week to try to find something that will allow my Sony DSC-HX5V 10.2MP CMOS Digital Camera with 10x Wide Angle Zoom with Optical Steady Shot Image Stabilization and 3.0 inch LCD that uses a memory stick pro due to work with my camera connection kit. I have a new samsung digital camera that has SD card which I can use that with the camera connection kit BUT when I plug into USB the camera will not work\
I am basically afraid to purchase this camera and it does not work through USB or the card reader, even if it does work through the USB interface which would be awesome I would still like for it to work with the card reader in case I misplace the capable etc.
Any help is appreciated. Last question also is the camera I am getting is the only digital camera besides the higher end video cameras that have GPS of which I own one but its a lot bulkier to carry which is why I am buying this one. Does anyone have any clue if the GPS data will transfer? I know Apple iPhoto has GPS places recognition, I just dont know if Sony's propierty nature will make it uncompatible b/c they come with a software program to view the gps pictures.

Did you purchase the Sony DSC-HX5V? I am looking at buying that same camera because of the GPS function, as well as the fact that it can take the SD card as well as the Sony memory stick.
I am a bit confused by your question though? Are you saying that when you use the SD card, and you connect the camera to your macbook, the camera doesn't work?
As for the GPS stuff, I am hoping you have found an answer to this quesion, as it will be key in determining whether or not I buy the Sony or instead the Panasonic Lumix ZS7, which also has GPS tagging (I hear the sony has more accurate data).

Skips / dropouts using Belkin Auto Kit in my car

I just installed a Belkin Auto Kit in my car to use my iPod. I've got a 3.5mm cable running from the car's aux port, to the belkin adapter plugged into the lighter, then the belkin adapter goes into the iPod's dock connector. Everything works and sounds great, however after a couple of minutes of playing and driving around, the iPod starts to skip and dropout randomly through songs. It starts out with maybe one skip in a song and then progresses to repeated skips in each song if it keeps playing.
Using the iPod normally with headphones works perfectly, and having the ipod docked in an iHome radio in the house works fine too, no skips. So I can only assume it has something to do with a car/aux port/belkin adapter. Any thoughts?
I thought I'd check here before I call Belkin.

There is another setting for "Start Conversation from", that needs to be set to phone number.

Yep. Exchanged for black and that solved it. Too much light leaks through the glass on the white phone.

Most probably because your camera records videos into MTS files, which aren't cmpatible with iOS. Yu can try the standard fixes to rule out a software problem:
- Reset. nothing is lost.
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
- Restore from backup
- Restore to factory defaults/new iPod.

No, this canot be done, afaik. When your camera or card is connected, you will see the thumbnails in the camera pane, but not full size preview. So to browse your photos on the iPad you will need to import them to your camera roll. But you need not delete them from the camera or card after importing, so you might simply import selected photos to your camera roll from the camera grid and then delete them again from the camera roll after importing and browsing, without removing them from the card/camera.

I also recently bought the camera kit and found that it worked fine as long as you don't format the SD card using PC. Once I re-formatted using my camera I could once again upload my photos. that was until I switched formats to Adobe RAW, it seemed unable to upload again. So I switched to S RAW and that worked fine. Sometimes my kit won't upload photos but I find that by just re-inserting the card it works fine.
Haven't tried video yet, but I recently learned that the devices are quit sensitive to the "Format"(that needs to be FAT32, or exFAT- but in this instance it needs to be formatted by a Mac).

If you deleted them from the card then you could do a search on the internet and you should find a number of third-party programs that might be able to recover them. If you had copied them to the iPad and they are still on there then you can copy them from the iPad to your computer : photos to PC.
