Looking for App/Button: Turn Location On/Off

Hi All,
Please let me know if you are aware of an app that, with one touch, will turn Location services ON or OFF.
Thanks!
Jim

I don't believe such an app exists and I think it is doubtful Apple would allow a 3rd party app for this.
You can use this link to provide Apple your feedback.

  • N8, Looking for Apps, GPS which will send sms auto...

Hi there guys, I´m looking for a Apps, wich will send my location automatically every for example 10 minutes ?
I  have to admitt I do not find it easy to find apps on Ovi Store
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

It isn't quite what you are looking for as it uploads location data to a website rather than sending sms but you could have a look at phonelocator periodic http://store.ovi.com/content/25892
Searching the store using "phone locator " doesn't, as far as I can see, come up with anything closer to what you want but you could have look using that as the search.
Not sure if an app sending so many sms messages would appeal to me, but I live in a country where operators interpret "unlimited " as xx messages per month.

  • Looking for app to create Desktop groups/fences for OSX

Looking for app to create Desktop groups/fences for OSX..
I do music and like to keep my most important folders on my Desktop since I access them very frequently.. I saw that there's a few options out there like "Desktop Groups Lite" (link below):
    https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/id561422617?mt=12
The only problem is that I'm reading a lot of reviews on it from users who are saying that their files/folders are going completely missing, etc.. And that's a big issue that I'm not ready to deal with, considering the importance of these folders to my work/career..
^This is a picture of what that "Desktop Groups Lite" app looks like.. and is pretty much EXACTLY what I'm looking for.. but I'm a little bit afraid of it "eating" my contents and losing them forever..
Does anybody have any recommendations or feedback for an app that can accomplish something like this?
    Thanks!

  • Looking for app that will allow me to control my iphone from my desktop

Looking for app that will allow me to control my iphone from my desktop.  I would like to be able to send text messages, etc from my computer instead of using my iphone.  I don't want to jailbreak my phone.  Does anyone know of app like this?
    Thank you,
    Scott

Windows or Mac?  You can at least send iMessages from a Mac with Mountain Lion installed.
There are apps that let you do the reverse (control the computer from the phone).  I don't know of any that let you go the other way.  It would be kind of cool if we could do this though.  But, I suppose it could open up a Pandora's box of security problems for the phone itself.  Just imagine somebody hacking into your phone remotely and using it without your permission....

  • Looking for Leopard Safari icon location help?

Looking for the button pictures in Safari for leopard. The tif files in resource are for 10.4 and I don't see where leopard safari is getting it's images. i.e. the "bug" button. Any ideas?

No i see the same thing but as in my post. Look at the norm and pressed versions of the tif files. the pressed are "blue". Leopard's pressed view is dark grey, not blue. I can change the tif file to anything but it doesn't change in the browser. Safari is not using those tif files anymore. (I think).

  • Hey (: I have the new iPad and I want to ask what is "healthier" for the battery : turn the device off in the night or keep it on during the night ? Thank you !

Hey (: I have the new iPad and I want to ask what is "healthier" for the battery : turn the device off in the night or keep it on during the night ? Thank you !

    BTW, statements like
"Use the device until the battery has drained to the point of self-shutdown. Basically, use it until it turns itself off."
in articles like the one at http://www.macblend.com/how-to-calibrate-your-mac-iphone-or-ipad-battery/ are complete BS and if you do follow their "advice", your battery life will be severely hampered. Particularly if you also follow one of the comments: "Step One.One: Leave the device for 5+ hours before start charging. This will fully drain the battery." Well, the guy that advised the latter certanly doesn't know anyhting about lithium batteries and the damage deep discharging does to them.
Again, what the article (and the above-cited comment) advices is complete b*llsh*t and noone should really do this.

  • When my iphone looks for data it turns off my car stereo

Henever my iphone looks for data my car stero cuts out. There is a handsfree bluetooth system in the car which works fine

This can happen with lithium batteries that have been completely empty and the phone not used for a very long time, say more than 6 months. If that is the case, you may succeed to revive it by doing the following:
Charge it for an hour or so,
    disconnect the charger,
    put the iPhone ON,
do not use it for 10 minutes,
use the phone for 1 minute,
    put the phone OFF,
leave the phone for 15 minutes,
connect the charger and charge for half an hour,
    disconnect the charger,
    put the phone ON,
do not use it for 10 minutes,
use the phone for 2 minutes,
    put the phone to OFF,
leave the phone for 10 minutes,
connect the charger and charge for half an hour,
    disconnect the charger,
leave the phone for 10 minutes,
use the phone for 2 minutes,
    etc
do this 4 or 5 times: it sounds silly, but this has a scientific base, it tries to move the electrons again in the battery.
At some point the battery may come back to life completely. I have had the same three times, and in all cases it worked (2 Nokia, 1 iPhone).

                             ButtonRegion.class
                             ButtonAnimate.class
    Modifications: v1.01 (15 April 97)
                             *     Added "sticky" button behavior (controlled
                                  by applet "stick" parameter)
                             v1.03 (25 June 97)
                             *     Added applet parameter "useCodeBase". If useCodeBase
is true, then image file locations will be based on the directory
in which the Java class files are located. If useCodeBase is false, then
the locations will be based on the HTML directory. Note that audio
file locations are always based on the Java directory. The default
for useCodeBase is false (use HTML directory for base).
                             *     The "stick" parameter will now accept a button number in
addition to the value of "true" or "false". If a button number
is specified, then that button will be "stuck" down
                                  when the button bar initializes.
                             *     Added the capability of loading multiple URLs for each button
with an optional target for each URL.
                             v1.1 (25 September 97)
                             *     Added "baseBrighten" and "baseBrightenTint" parameters to control
                                  highlighting for base button bar.
                             *     Added "mouseOverBrighten" and "moBrightenTint" parameters to control
                                  highlighting for base button bar.
                             *     Added "mdBrightenTint" and "mdBrightenAll" parameters to control
highlighting for base button bar. Previous versions of the applet
supported "mouseDownBrighten," but only if button borders were not
drawn for the button-down button bar (the "mdBrightenAll" can be set
to "true" to override the this default behavior).
                             *     An "appletBGColor" parameter has been added to set the
applet background color. The applet background color is
sometimes visible during scrolling or during a page repaint.

  • Looking for app that will play music entered on a staff

My wife wants to use her iPad2 to help her with learning new choir songs for church... and I haven't stumbled upon the right search terms to locate what we're looking for.
Specifically, we'd like a program that provides us with a staff (preferably treble and bass, preferably with a function to easily change keys) on which we can click the notes and indicate duration, then have the program play back that input melody for us.
If it helps, Aria Maestosa for OS X does what we want... we're just looking for that functionality on the iPad.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.

Try Symphony Pro, available on the app store.
