Looking for basic info on queue prefetch

I'm trying to get an idea how queue prefetch works, and what's it for.
I'm working with Tibco queue and it looks like the default setting is 5 for prefetch.
Also I'm interested in interaction between queue prefetch setting and an XA transaction.
We had some problems related to that (lost messages).
I'd like to hear from anyone who dealt with any of those issues.
Thanks,
Mark

I'm going to answer my own question in case anyone is looking for similar info.
This bit from ActiveMQ documentation talks about the prefetch setting:
http://activemq.apache.org/what-is-the-prefetch-limit-for.html
As for the problems with XA transactions and prefetch settings those turned out to be related to Mule ESB, which apparently is not very stable.

my wife and i share a computer. when she looks for her info in her cloud acct on the desktop my info appears in her account. Cannot understand why her info from her phone would appear to be nowhere and mine is in her account. Help us understand this please?

On the shared computer click on System Preferences -> iCloud -> Account Details verify that each individual account is configured correctly. By default, the Apple ID used to install the computer the first time is used for all accounts on the computer, unless it is changed.

Hi @RUkiddingme
You can download the full feature software and driver, and only install the basic driver. In the installation you should see the option for custom software. Here is the link to download the software; rw2_021_w02_enu.exe
Please let me know if this resolves the issue.

• Looking for some info before deciding to install

Normally, I would try to some searching before posting, but I've been pressed for time lately. Anyways, I'm looking for some info about Solaris before deciding to dive into installing it.
1) Can it be installed on what's a currently triple-booting system without problems? In this case, Solaris would be installed onto half of the slave HD.
2) How difficult and lengthy is the installation process?
3) Does Solaris come with it's own unique bootloader? Can it recognize other operating systems? Is it possible to not install that bootloader and simply edit the configs for a preexisting GRUB to allow it to boot Solaris?

• Looking for some info, Creative is not much help.

Looking for some info, Creative is not much help. Ok, right now I have an Audigy 2 ZS Platinum. It can use the digital inputs to decode either Dolby Digital, DD EX, DTS, and DTS ES to the analog speaker outputs. (Also a 5. setup.)
I recently built a new PC, and would like to replace the sound card, but I use that feature (as well as some others). Seeing how Creative doesn't want to easily display the capabilities of there cards, I would like someone to let me know what card will allow the fallowing in Windows XP, Vista, and theoretically Windows 7.
Hardware decoding of Dolby Digital, DD EX, DTS, and DTS ES and allow a proper 5. playback through analog speakers.
Recording of whatever is playing out of the the speakers. The recording selection is labeled "What U Hear")
The reasons behind me wanting to buy a new card are simply that I would prefer to run it through PCI-Express, and have full compatibility at the release of Windows 7 without any loss of features I need. From what I can tell, if things work in Windows Vista they will work in [email protected]

All I can say to you (someone correct me if I'm wrong) is that Xtremegamer's doesn't decode DD/DTS via hardware with official drivers (altough they're capable of - all X-Fi are capable of decoding). XtremeMusic does the job with official drivers. I don't know the rest of the models. Someone adds [email protected]

Connect your phone to iTunes, then right-click on the name of your phone on the left sidebar and select Reset Warnings. Then sync again and you should get a warning listing the problem files.

• Looking for FREE info on app submission process

Hello,
I am looking for information on the app submission process to assess the feasability. I am at a very, very early stage at this point and would like to get details on the technical requirements, any finacial requirements, and an approximate timeline for an iOS app submission.
I have poked around on these forums and found some info, but most of it seems to be locked behind the paywall. As I stated before, at this time I am not looking to pay the $99 to sign up as a developer without getting some of the very basic background information. Does anyone know of any handbooks or publications with the details that are available for free? Am I just looking in the wrong place?
Thank you in advance for your time.
-Spencerm1

Hmm... that's a shame.
I am definitely more serious than simply looking for blog topics, but I am not in a position to fully commit to something that may have requirements I can't meet at this time. I'll keep poking around.
Thanks!

• Looking for some info on how to play music files on IPAD2

Hi and thanks for sharing. Trying to figure out how to play sound files such as wavs or mp3s on my ipad2 while I browse the internet or use my computer. I was trying to see if the music feature will play my songs or if I can import downloaded files from the net to itunes and if that will play in the background. I have an audio program that can send sound files to email and was trying to figure out how, similarly, to get this play in the background while I do things too. That and sound files downloaded from the internet. Do these go to iCloud when you download them? Can I import sounds into itunes with my iPad someway. (It's the only computer or device I own). Basically looking for a pathway to get music from my audio program that's sent to email, and clips I've DLed off sites on the internet, to play while I use the pad or browse the net. Thanks for your intel on the mission. Cheers!

• Ubber Newbie Looking for Basic Samples

Hello- I've spent the last 3 hours or so trying to create a very basic calculator in Flex (aka: add a couple input cells). Spent time looking through videos, reading documentation, etc. Much of it assumes programming background or web development experience of which I have little.
So, wanted to find some very basic application samples I could take apart and learn from. I found some, but they are pretty advanced and most depend on communication to/from the internet (tons of facebook and photo apps).
I'm just looking for a simple calculator/mortgage calculator application I can take apart and learn from.
Anyone know where I can find examples for super basic users?
Thanks!
- Mr. Bill

Here is an extremely basic example of one way it can be done. You of course would need more operators, conditional code to handle those operators, and several other functions and formulas - especially for mortgages - but hopefully this will get you started on the basic method.

<mx:Application xmlns:mx="http://www.adobe.com/2006/mxml" layout="absolute" height="208" width="444">
<mx:Script>

private function BasicCalc():void
var CalculatedValue:Number=Number(TextInput1.text) + Number(TextInput2.text);
ResultText.text=String(CalculatedValue);

</mx:Script>
<mx:TextInput id="TextInput1" x="24" y="41" width="50" textAlign="right" text="1"/>
<mx:TextInput id="TextInput2" x="24" y="71" width="50" textAlign="right" text="2"/>
<mx:Text id="ResultText" x="44" y="101" text="0" width="30" textAlign="right"/>
<mx:Button id="CalcButton" x="82" y="41" label="Calc" width="57" height="52" click="BasicCalc()"/>
</mx:Application>

• Hallelujah, finally disabled OOPP. I use Firefox 9.0.1 and will not upgrade to anything that ignores my settings. Been looking for this info for years!

As soon as Firefox came out with OOPP, I immediately asked how to permanently disable it and had a Firefox developer straight-up lie to me and say it couldn't be done without downgrading. Thank GOODNESS for the instructions on https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/713600?page=1 Finally, finally I have excised the hated OOPP!
I run Firefox 9.0.1 and will not upgrade, ever, unless I see signs that Mozilla has radically altered its development direction and discarded most of the boneheaded, broken, anti-user development that has gone into versions more recent than Firefox 1.x. Actually making your mission statement more than an empty promise might be a good place to start.
Let's see...anything else? Oh yeah, any developer who advocates overriding or ignoring user settings, or taking control away from the user, should be kicked off the team. (and investigated as a possible Government mole, but that's a lot to ask for). I hear Konqueror and Safari are looking for new devs. It gets old fast when you try to get support and instead get haughty "You're doing it wrong, stop doing that" responses. I'm doing exactly what I intend to be doing and if you can't support that, someone else will. If you really gave a damn about your users, you might start by backporting security fixes to previous versions instead of spewing out a cacophony of incompatible new versions so rapidly you end up confusing and alienating users and making them switch updates off entirely. I mean seriously, what happens when Firefox hits triple digits? You could stick a decimal in front of it, and name that build after a historic baseball player who had that batting average. But even then you will run out of players in a few months.
It's truly sad. I switched to Firefox because it was the best browser. But Firefox has been backsliding horribly since around 2.0, and the other browsers seem to be in about the same boat. Firefox IS still the best browser - but only if you use an ancient, unsupported version. That's a big problem.

Using an obsolete version released [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox/9.0.1/releasenotes/ December 11th 2011] is the exact definition of downgrading. It exposes your system to all the security vulnerabilities that have been fixed since then.
* https://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html
Out-of-process plug-ins was made mandatory on Windows Vista and later because Adobe don't test Flash Player's protected mode with OOPP disabled. This change didn't happen until Firefox 14, so there was no need to go as far back as Firefox 9.0.1.
If you absolutely have to, you can disable OOPP by creating the ''MOZ_DISABLE_OOP_PLUGINS'' environment variable and setting its value to '''1'''. Firefox must be restarted for the change to take effect. This works in the current version of Firefox, so there's no need to use obsolete insecure versions.
If you don't know how to create an environment variable, see the following article for instructions (the "Using the Custom Environment Variable" section is not relevant).

• System information when looking for storage info, also finder crashes

Can anyone help please!
My Finder crashes when doing simple tasks. Also, when loking for storage info in system info it crashes. All other system info works ok! Many thanks! New Mountain Lion Installed, problems since then!

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.
Please don't indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into this discussion.
Please don't post screenshots of log messages—post the text.

• Looking for More Info on Java Web Service

Hi Everyone,
Where can i find More info on Java web Service in BPEL? Is there any link or documentation for this? I looked at the tutorial and the only info available is:
B.2.7 Java Web Service
This service enables you to publish a Web service from a Java class. A wizard creates the WSDL document and deployment files needed to publish your code as a Web service. After you select the class and methods you want to publish, the wizard generates deployment descriptors, a JAX-RPC mapping file, and a WSDL document that can be deployed to an application server.
Thank You,

Sure,
one way would be to upload the files to XE using the WebDav feature of the XML DB. You find more information here: http://daust.blogspot.com/2006/03/where-are-images-of-application.html
Another option would be to configure a standalone Apache as a proxy server to XE. This way you can configure the Apache any way you like.
HTTPS with Oracle XE ?
Re: Existing http server
For correctly logging the remote IP you will need the following workaround:

• Add Video to Site. Looking for basic tutorials

Thanks to a lot of help from this forum I have cobbled together a reasonable web site. Now I am adding some video and am confused as to some best practices.
I have had some reels of 8mm film converted to digital and are now individual *.mov files. Using Adobe Premiere Pro CS4 I have edited and posted some clips but the more I read the more I wonder if I am doing it right... or best.
FPS.. my *.mov files are at 15 FPS. Premier Pro does not have a 15 fps setting that I can find. Some place I was advised that for displaying on the web 15 fps is more than adequate, more is overkill and makes for a much larger file.
Premiere Pro will do the job.. but some books say Adobe Flash can be used as well.
Exporting.. SWF; FLV; F4V; Quicktime; AVI..........
So.. Can anyone advise on some tutorials that deal with the basics and best practice of adding video to a web site.
Thank you for your time

• ABAPer looking for basic knowledge on SAP FI

Hi,
I got in to ABAP recently. I would like learn basis of SAP FI. if any one have any info regarding the same.pls share.
Regards,
Shrini..

hi,
Introduction
The SAP FI Module has the capability of meeting all the accounting and financial needs of an organization. It is within this module that Financial Managers as well as other Managers within your business can review the financial position of the company in real time as compared to legacy systems which often times require overnight updates before financial statements can be generated and run for management review.
The real-time functionality of the SAP modules allows for better decision making and strategic planning. The FI (Financial Accounting) Module integrates with other SAP Modules such as MM (Materials Management), PP (Production Planning), SD(Sales and Distribution), PM (Plant Maintenance),and PS (Project Systems).
The FI Module also integrates with HR(Human Resources) which includes PM(Personnel Management), Time Management, Travel Management, Payroll.Document transactions occurring within the specific modules generate account postings via account determination tables.
The FI (Financial Accounting) Module components.
The FI Module comprises several sub-modules as follows:
Accounts Receivables
Accounts Payable
Asset Accounting
Bank Accounting
Consolidation
Funds Management
General Ledger
Special Purpose Ledger
Travel Management
Accounts Receivables records all account postings generated as a result of Customer sales activity.
These postings are automatically updated in the General Ledger . It is within the Accounts
Receivables Module that you can monitor aging of the receivables and generate customer analysis. The Accounts Receivable Module also integrates with the General ledger, Sales and Distribution, and Cash Management Modules.
Accounts Payable records account postings generated as a result of Vendor purchasing activity. Automatic postings are generated in the General Ledger as well. Payment programs within SAP enables the payment of payable documents by check, EDI, or transfers.
Asset Accounting is utilized for managing your company’s Fixed Assets. SAP allows you to categorize assets and to set values for depreciation calculations in each asset class.
Bank Accounting allows for management of bank transactions in the system including cash management.
Consolidation enables the combining of financial statements for multiple entities within an organization. These statements provide an overview of the financial position of the company as a whole.
Funds Management allows management to set budgets for revenues and expenses within your company as well as track these to the area of responsibility.
General Ledger is fully integrated with the other SAP Modules. It is within the General Ledger that all accounting postings are recorded. These postings are displayed in real-time providing up-to-date visibility of the financial accounts.
Special Purpose Ledger is used to define ledgers for reporting purposes. Data can be gathered from internal and external applications.
Travel Management provides management of all travel activities including booking trips and handling of expenses associated with travel.

• Looking for more info

I want to learn more about Robosource Control before using
it. Are there any books I can buy?

Hi, Cindy
There are no books but, just in case you hadn't already found
these articles:
Matthew Ellison has a fine article on getting started on the
Adobe Developer Center
Getting
started with RoboSource Control 3 in RoboHelp 6
I have an older article covering the previous version that
discusses best practices and gives examples and a sample project to
download and test it out. Some of the screen shots are not
precisely the same as version 3, but they are remarkably "close
enough" I think to help you.
Sharing
One RoboHelp Project Among Multiple Authors
If you are like me, when I first used RoboSource Control I
had no idea what the heck it was. I found the best way to learn was
to set up a dummy project (as I suggest in my article) and pound on
it locally.
1. Set up RSC v3 (including the server) on your local hard
drive, as shown by the two articles)
2. Set up fictitous (or real users in a user library)
3. Add a project to Version Control
4. Open a Project on your local hard drive
5. Check projects/files in and out
6. Look at the History dialogs
7. Check file Diffs (differences) between files
8. Roll back to a previous version
In short, for novices to any kind of version control there is
no getting around the learning curve. But, using the dummy project,
it will give you confidence when you shift to a "real" situation.
Hope this helps.
