Looking for black, extra long cable.

Any recommendations on an extra long black charging/sync cable for iPads? Found one but it does not actually charge. Desperately looking for a source to buy in quantity. Any recommendations welcome.

If you're only looking for a longer charging cord, have you considered just buying an extenstion cord? Obviously, that won't work if you're connecting it to a computer but should do fine if you're using the power adapter.

  • Hi I'm looking for a thunderbolt extension cable so I can hook up my 27" LED THURDERBOLT APPLE DISPLAY SCREEN.

Hi I'm looking for a thunderbolt extension cable so I can hook up my 27" LED THURDERBOLT APPLE DISPLAY SCREEN.

Extension cables for Thunderbolt don't yet exist, but Apple has recently released a Thunderbolt cable that is 2M or 6.5 feet long.  I just connected my 27" Thunderbolt display to my iMac, which sit about 4-feet apart from each other, and it works perfectly.  You just don't use the Thunderbolt connection cable that is attached to the display - plug the display's power cable in, and use the 6.5-foot Thunderbolt cable to connect the display to the computer.

  • Looking for a 3 meter cable for iPad air

I'm looking for a 3 meter cable for an ipad air.

the longest Apple makes is 2M, but Griffin Technology sells a 3M lightning USB cable they claim is iPad Air compatible.

  • My cinema display won't work over a display port booster and extra long cable.

    Hi,
I have a Mac Pro (mid 2010) and an Apple Cinema Display 27". I also have two other DVI monitors. Recently I got a few extenders, so that I can have the computer in a different room to the monitors. Everything works perfectly except the Cinema Display. My system recognises that the cinema display is connected (as it shows as a display in preferences), but the screen is black.
The series of connections from computer to screen is: mini display port to display port adaptor, short display port cable, gefen display port booster, extra long display port cable, display port (female to female) coupler, display port to mini display port.
Please let me know if you have any ideas what the problem may be.
    Thank you!

Per your advice to taking out the longest cable, I ran a couple of tests at different stages of the connection. Over a short conversion to displayport and back to mini display port, the monitor connected no problem. It was only when I introduced the "Display Port Booster" that I lost signal, over the short connection.
I think the unit might be faulty and this is the problem. I sent it back to the company that sold it to me and they're running tests now. Hopefully they will be able to fix it.

  • Looking for legacy PCMCIA GPIB+ Cable

We are looking for one of the older style GPIB cables no longer manufactured by NI. It is for the PCMCIA GPIB+ (it's a wider single row of pins instead of the newer double row narrower connector to the PCMCIA card). Any length is fine. Original part numbers are: 182362-01 or -02 or -04. Reply to email address below with prices. We'll pay for shipping.

    Hi Jaegen:
The GPIB card you have is obsolete and has an obsolete connector on it. If you have the original cable shipped from NI with it, you should be able to get it to work. We, however, do not sell these cables anymore. I have included an attachement here of the pinouts for the connector you have in case you can find an old cable or possibly make your own.

  • Looking for a specific IPod cable

I'm new to this forum and I'm searching for a cable. The cable I'm looking for will allow me to hook up my Ipod from the dock connector on the bottom of the IPod to my car stereo using RCA jacks. I also want to be able to charge the IPod at the same time.
I've found several cables where I can do this indvidually but nothing that will allow me to do both at the same time.

  • Looking for appropriate TV-Out cable

Hey guys... I lost my tv-out cables in a recent move.  Looked all over for them, but they're gone.  The card that these fit is an XFX 7900GT.
I really have two options.  The first, preferred option is to get a new 7-pin tv-out cable.  I have found one that would be perfect.  Unfortunately, it ships out of England.  (http://www.scan.co.uk/Products/ProductI … arProducts)
I can't find this particular piece on any other website whatsoever.  I've been looking for something similar (Obviously, I don't want to spend a lot of money having this thing shipped only to not have it work), but so far have had little luck.
The other option is to use a DVI-D converter, but most only go to HDTV component.  Unfortunately, I don't have an HDTV.
However, I do plan on buying an HDTV at some point in the future, and would like the cable to support both RCA and Component (as the cord above does).
Has anyone seen anything such as this anywhere available from a US retailer or e-tailer?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try setting tv out as the default accessory and then try it out.
As far as I know Nokia has only one tv-out cable and that's the ca-75u which should be the same one you're referring to. Push the cable in firmly and make sure it goes all the way in. I have two cables and with one of them i have to take the cover off my phone for it to go all the way and work
Show your appreciation. Hit that kudos button real hard

  • Looking for pin outs on cable 198141A-2R5

    Martnlindhe,
I chose to purchase a MacMini Intel model to hookup to my 36 inch Sony TV.
I chose this model for several reasons as I also have a Web Camera hooked up to it at the same time via Firewire. I use Front Row and iTunes to distribute music throughout the house wirelessly to other stereos and to view what is playing now via the TV.
Here are some photos of the MacMini hooked up to the TV and using Front Row.

The photos aren't that great but you get the idea. The TV screen looks great in person as opposed to the photos with the glare and the darkness.
Some TV's don't look as good as my TV looks from what I have heard so your TV may or may not look as good. I am about to upgrade to a 42 inch Panasonic HD Plasma TV which should give an even better picture. At this time, my TV is connected to the MacMini via the "S-Video" cable. The HDMI video cable is a better choice if your TV has that capability.
The new iTV from Apple is rumored to be released sometime this coming Spring.

  • Looking for a suitable "long" USB 3.0 Y splitter that fits 15 inch retina.

    Hello,
The Macbook Pro retina has it's two USB ports on opposite sides of the keyboard. I wanted to use a USB 3.0 Y splitter cable, but the only ones I can find have a rather short Y split - probably as USB ports are usually situated beside each other. But for the 15 inch retina, the Y split cable length needs to be 20 inches or 50cm long - otherwise both ends cannot be plugged in at the same time.
Does anyone know of any source for a Y split USB 3.0 cable with a long Y split?  I live in Europe (UK).
    My reasons for wanting this:
I have a Seagate Desktop USB 3.0 hard drive dock which runs from mains power and USB 3.0. The hard drive sits on a small "dock" and is removable. The dock has a normal SATA connection for the hard drive and USB 3.0 plus power at the rear.
I wish to plug in an SSD drive instead of the drive it comes with (3TB desktop size). I have tried this and it works really well, and it is much much faster.
However I want to use this in a field situation where I need the SSD for speed but will not have access to mains power. So I wanted to try and run the dock using USB 3.0 power only. It does not power up using only it's supplied USB 3.0 cable, but I wanted to try a splitter Y cable and see if the power from 2 USB 3.0 ports would work.
I have tried this technique with the Seagate Thunderbolt desktop, but it will not run with just the thunderbolt cable - even with only an SSD connected.
I had success using SSDs with the Seagate GoFlex Thunderbolt (which is bus powered only), however I wanted to use larger SSDs i.e 1TB and had read that this device had trouble proving enough power consistantly.
Before I purchase an expensive  1TB SSD I wanted to see if I could power up the dock using USB 3.0 alone.
    Thanks for any help :-)

    Thanks for you suggestion Gnomish8.
However this hub would only plug into one of the MacBook's USB ports. Therefore it would not provide any extra power. I need the extra power (hopefully provided) by plugging into both USB ports at the same time.

  • Looking for a particular extension cable to connect an iPod to Roadtrip

    Wondering if this exists...
I've been using a Griffin Roadtrip for months, but I no longer want my iPod mounted on it as I drive. First off, it just rattles too much (I'm nervous about damaging the bottom pieces inside). But most importantly, I've found that I keep removing the iPod from the mount too often as I skip through or search for songs.
I was wondering if anyone knew of an extension cord that connects between the Roadtrip's "dock" and to the iPod itself, allowing me to lay the player on the passenger seat next to me. I guess both ends of the cord would have to end in a "dock" piece.
I realize that I can just buy a new car kit that will allow this (such as DLO's TransDock Micro), but I did spend a hefty sum for the Roadtrip gadget and don't want to abandon it altogether.

No and No. Sell your original iPad and buy the iPad 2 if you want to do Facetime.
It may be a hassle to you to sync them to the computer, but if your iPod and iPad were both stolen while you were out and about you will be glad the music, pictures, etc. are on your computer. And I hope you are regularly backing up your computer.
You can go here to tell Apple you would like these items: http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Looking for iPhone TTY Adapter Cable

I use the Ultratec Superprint TTY for communicating with other TTY devices, or call a Relay System operator to communicate with hearing people. The TTY device has couplers to accept a land line telephone. The iPhone 5 has a TTY switch to connect the iPhone to the TTY device with TTY Adapter cable. The iPhone manual did not says where to find it. Has anyone seen such cable? If so, let me know.  Thank you.

  • Looking for the right motherboard

I want to get a Intel chipset motherboard, that also supports SATA 3 and USB 3... Crossfire would be nice but I probably won't use it (maybe!).
The only MB I found on the MSI website that supported both SATA 3 and USB 3 was an AMD chipset motherboard.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
