I am looking for music composers to make high quality original pieces of music. If you are interested in making some extra cash, i am setting up an online business and will be selling this music over the internet. It is all legit and the site will be up and running by the end of September. I already have a large database of original music that i have produced my self and from other musicians that have seen the great opportunities ahead. I am just missing a few genres of music that i need to fill up my database with, such as alternative, ambient, children's, classical, country, rock and world.
I will not disclose too many details of the business as i am not trying to advertise it, but i do want to give you guys a chance to show the world your talents and hopefully make you some money at the same time.

Exporting final project for youtube (with high quality)

hey guys,
i have been trying to export videos and upload them onto youtube giving them a high quality look for some time now.
the website recommends for the best quality:
-mpeg 4
-320X240
-MP3 audio
-30 fps

i tried two different ways of exporting my project. i use fc express hd on a macbook pro...the first export was an mpeg 4 divx export. i used the 4 recomendations but it still came out pixilated. i then tried the regular mpeg 4 option in the export menu. this one had a different audio option. there was no mp3 listen and ACL audio or something like that,
either way they both came out pixilated! this was only a 5 minute long video. i have seen plenty of videos on youtube that were 8 minutes long and crystal clear.
there must be SOMETHING i should change in my exporting options! please help! its been like a year and a half now that ive been searching for clear youtube videos!

hmm i tried there suggestions and unfortunatly it came out pixilated!
i was excited to see the results too because that page given seemed like it would work...
i double checked all of the settings and they matched up with what they suggested...

Best Settings for YouTube's HIgh Quality Video

I see YouTube has a new "high quality" video option that uses H.264 video at 480 x 360. If I want to take full advantade of this format how should I build my videoo to upload? I assume I should use H.264, but Premiere doesn't have an option to do so at 480x360.

After numerous trials and extensive searches on forums (with solutions way too complicated for me) this is my recipe.
(After upgrading to PE 7 I hoped that PE would do the trick, but no.)
1. Premiere Elements.
Export ("Share") to harddisk, DV-AVI, 4:3 or Widescreen doesn't matter.
2. Windows Movie Maker.
Import this AVI-file. You won't need to change or edit anything.
Just "publish" (to disk) in
WMV-format, dvd-quality (4:3 size) PAL 3,0 M.
3. You Tube.
Upload to YouTube.
Then wait (approx 10 min. per minute movietime) until the uploaded movie is released and online in high quality.
Happy uploading!
Max size is 100 Mb; but there are work arounds for that too.

Yes, but if the device is formatted for Mac then you'll either need a Mac or an HFS+ driver for Windows (try hfsexplorer) to extract the data from it. See Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for some ideas on recovery. The manual method listed at the bottom of the table and the driver should be enogh if you only need the media and aren't worried about ratings, play counts and playlists.

It appears that the Targus case has a cutout that would allow you to charge the device with the cover closed. The HP case doesn't allow for that.
I wrote a review here on the HP case. I wouldn't recommend it. I should also note that the HP store personnel chose not to make my review public...seems there's some selective editing going on there which means I will never trust any reviews on that site.
You can search here for my whole review, but basically the HP case has a couple of problems.
1. It's very heavy for a case.
2. The holes don't line up particularly well with things like the camera (no matter how many times you adjust the tablet and tighten loosent the velcro closure.
3. The aforementioned charging issue.
4. You can't have any cables plugged into the device while in Stand mode (probably also an issue with the Targus).

Download speed for videos and high quality videos

Hi everyone...!!! I've just ran the speedtest app on both my I pad and I pod touch and the results are the same. Download is 1.72 Mbps and upload is 0.57 Mbps. I'm guessing that this is pretty poor and is the reason a HD video on you tube takes ages to load and freezes after the film is started?? Work pays for my broadband but I would gladly pay for my own if that would enable me to get a faster connection and better downloading speeds??? Is this the case??? I presume u r on 3g at those figures. My ADSL on iPad is 12 mps down and around 0.8 up BUT like others here streaming is still slow, as is browsing. I have tried everything here and I do mean everything. It's been 6 weeks now since 4.2.1 was 'let loose' and personally I've had enough. My analogy is I bought a 'car' to commute on a highway at 110kph and after its first service it now does 40kph and the service dpt wont return my calls for help. I have tried servicing it my self, changed oil, rotated tyres etc all of which were vain attempts, heck I've even BLAMED THE BOWSER the fuel comes out of.
Well if my iPad was a car I know what I would be doing. Take it back and have it replaced???? not when I know the same model has the same issue. If it were a car I would be saying "mate I'll walk to work till the new model comes out". I know this is a rant but I have had enough. I will include my latest service attempt tip and perhaps this post wont be deleted.
The following tip helped somewhat .... I am now up to 48kph.
Set router to Wireless G only.  Set Router to WPA2 only. (make sure you dont have any old devices) (WPA2 is the most secure, and uses AES encyrption which has no overhead or slow down on your data) Set router to Manual channel selection, then pick channel 6, I actually found 3 slightly better, see if it helps, if not go back and select channel 11, if not then put it back on automatic. Go to router toolbox and then turn off Extended security which is found in UpNp settings  Also try turning browsing interception off (its normally in the configuration page).

High Quality HD footage Need to compress/export to fit onto a DVD!

So, basically I have 58 min. worth of HQ, HD footage (with burnt in time code) that I need to fit onto a playable DVD (that will be burnt using DVD Studio Pro)
Normally, I'd just export using QuickTime movie - however after doing so, my file size was 89.52 GB, which obviously is huge.
What is the best way to go about compressing or exporting this so that it will fit onto a DVD or Dual Layer DVD.
I need to send this to the client, and the quality really doesn't have to be amazing, as this is just for them to view and choose which footage they want to keep, etc. The quality need to be decent enough to view, essentially.
I used FCP and DVD Studio pro -- but really just basic stuff for the most part. I am not super familiar with compressor and all that lingo, so the simplest way to go about this would be best, ha.
The raw footage was shot using a SONY HDCAM 1080i 59.97 (16x9) - if this helps.
Digitized the footage using pro-ress in FCP...so yeah I don't what other info might be needed, sorry.

The absolute simplest way to make a DVD using FCP and DVDSP is as follows:
1. Export a QT movie, either a reference file or self contained using current settings.
2. Open DVDSP, select the "graphical" tab and you will see two little monitors, one blue, one green.
3. Select the left blue one and hit delete.
4. Now, select the green one, right click on it amd select the top option "first play".
5. Now drag your QT from the broswer and drop it on top of the green monitor.
6. Now, for a DVD from an HD source, look to the right side and select the "general tab" in the track editor, and see the Display Mode, and select "16:9 pan-scan."
7. Hit the little black and yellow burn icon at the top of the page and put a a DVD in when prompted. DVDSP will encode and burn your new DVD.
THATS ALL!!!
NOW...if you want a GOOD LOOKING DVD, instead of taking your REF movie into DVD SP, instead take it into Compressor and choose the BEST QUALITY ENCODE (2 pass VBR) that matches your show timing. Then take THAT result into DVD SP and follow the rest of the steps. Except you can choose "16:9 LETTERBOX" instead of PAN & SCAN if you want to see the entire image.

HP G62-a43EE owners : Original Bios needed urgently

Operating System: Windows 7 64-bit

I had a bad bios update which forced me to re-flash the initial bios found on the internet ..
Unfortunately, all the bios updates found on the HP websites have problems
- The so called 'initial release' : Has an issue with the fan that it works at 100% all the time although the notebook is cool !
- The latest bios update : Backlight doesn't work ! So I connected the laptop to an external display that worked fine until I recovered the initial BIOS which had an issue with the fan.

Could anybody who own HP G62-a43ee supply me with the original BIOS software found on the HP_TOOLS partition .. from which I can re-flash my BIOS.

Looking for high-quality videoconferencing to PC in Italy

I've been using Skype to do piano lessons with my teacher in Italy & between me and my son we are videoconferencing nearly 4hrs/wk with her. I have a wireless broadband connection (with ethernet hard-wire to router from my machine). She has a PC laptop & ADSL connection. Problems are increasing with very bad connections. It was noticeably worse after upgrading my OS in November, but I don't know why. We get unbearable static after a few seconds in audio, and frame rate degrades from about 15fps at the start to 4 or 5fps after half a minute or so with latency of more than half a second. The image breaks up frequently, and we often lose the connection entirely. We end up shutting down the audio and calling her on the landline phone for audio. I've tried various solutions, but am really looking for a much higher quality application, and am willing to pay up to $50/mo. We do not need multi-user capability, just the one connection.
Has anyone had personal experience with other applications? iVisit doesn't look much better, but I haven't tried it & their website doesn't compare it to Skype.

Before you change software, you might want to try to determine whether the problem is with your teacher's system or ISP. Although I do not frequent the Skype Fora and have not checked there, as noted in this iChat AV 3 thread, iChat users have reported difficulty with Italian contacts who use the Italian "FastNet" ISP: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6237921&#6237921
It might also be helpful to know whether your Italian teacher encounters problems similar to the one with you when he video chats with others. If possible, both you and teacher should try Skype video with other international contacts to try to determine whether one system has more trouble than the other. If one system is not working properly, switching to another video chat app may not help your video connection.
If you would like to try some other apps, several cross-platform video conference / chat apps of widely varying cost and capability are listed in Some Applications You Can Use With iSight. Use the links to each app that is of interest to you for info about its features, terms, and instructions.
You might also want to try using your browser with a web-based video chat-room like MeBeam to see if it might work for you. (Click here for Info / Help.)

No...ProRes is a high quality format. Finishing format. Many TV networks take that as a final deliverable.
BUT...DVDs aren't high definition...they are SD. You cannot make a 720p60 DVD with DVD Studio Pro. Any DVD you make will be SD...720x480. The only HD DVD format out there is BluRay, and for that you need a BluRay burner.
As for making a high quality DVD...using the BEST QUALITY settings in Compressor will work:

Grayscale; black ink only or High Quality

I have the HP Photosmart C4600 series, and I was curious about how to make my ink last the longest. I am just printing assignments, nothing that needs to be super nice looking. I selected print in grayscale but I wasn't sure which would be best for me, the high quality or black ink only.

The "high quality" setting will use the color cartridge for better graphics quality, the "black only" setting will use the black cartrdige only.
For best economy use "black only" and print in draft or econofast mode.

Grainy subtitles and credits in Professional Quality and High Quality mode

I need some serious help. Last year I did a movie which came out perfectly fine on my iMovie HD 08' version.
This year I just did a movie on iMovie 09' because I could not find iMovie 08', and to my surprise when I burn it on iDVD the subtitles and captions come out grainy, or in lower quality (the words are a bit cracked on the corners and edges) and I can't seem to fix it.
I tried everything:
Sharing project with iDVD - quality settings Professional and High
Exporting on HD quality to iDVD and burned on Double Layer disc w/Professional and High quality
That's four different tries and 2 days of rendering. I'm going crazy here and don't know what else to do to make the video look just like it looks in iMovie - with high quality and no grainy subtitles. Even the picture slideshow looks a bit degraded when burned from iDVD.
The entire project is 95 minutes in total. Please help!!! I need to deliver this DVD to a client next week. Thank you very much.
