Looking for "Creating IDocs from Outbound Deliveries 101" guide

Please forgive what is probably a very stupid question as I am very new to the subtleties of SAP interface configuration. I am looking for a guide to as to how to set up SAP4.7 to create an IDoc from the creation (or update) of an outbound delivery. I'm think I'm looking for a SHPORD IDoc, and I thought I'd set up all the necessary stages, but I create a delivery and no idoc appears.
If anyone knows of a "basic configuration guide" to get a SHPORD idoc from a delivery then please point me in that direction.
Thanks!

  • STEPS for creating IDOC .

I need to creat IDOC for whenever  delivery is created .

    Hi
Take the correct Idoc type and Message Type and process code from EDBAS and EDMSG tables and use
    see the doc
    Data Creation in Idoc
IDocs are text encoded documents with a rigid structure that are used to exchange data between R/3 and a foreign system. Instead of calling a program in the destination system directly, the data is first packed into an IDoc and then sent to the receiving system, where it is analyzed and properly processed. Therefore an IDoc data exchange is always an
asynchronous process. The significant difference between simple RFC-calls and IDoc data exchange is the fact, that every action performed on IDocs are protocolled by R/3 and IDocs can be reprocessed if an error occurred in one of the message steps.
While IDocs have to be understood as a data exchange protocol, EDI and ALE are typical use cases for IDocs. R/3 uses IDocs for both EDI and ALE to deliver data to the receiving system. ALE is basically the scheduling mechanism that defines when and between which partners and what kind of data will be exchanged on a regular or event triggered basis. Such a set-up is called an ALE-scenario.
IDoc is a intermediate document to exchange data between two SAP Systems.
*IDocs are structured ASCII files (or a virtual equivalent).
    *Electronic Interchange Document
*They are the file format used by SAP R/3 to exchange data with foreign systems.
*Data Is transmitted in ASCII format, i.e. human readable form
    *IDocs exchange messages
*IDocs are used like classical interface files
IDOC types are templates for specific message types depending on what is the business document, you want to exchange.

An IDOC with data, will have to be triggered by the application that is trying to send out the data.

An IDoc is simply a data container that is used to exchange information between any two processes that can understand the syntax and semantics of the data...
1.IDOCs are stored in the database. In the SAP system, IDOCs are stored in database tables.
2.IDOCs are independent of the sending and receiving systems.
3.IDOCs are independent of the direction of data exchange.
The two available process for IDOCs are
    Outbound Process
    Inbound Process
AND There are basically two types of IDOCs.
    Basic IDOCs
Basic IDOC type defines the structure and format of the business document that is to be exchanged between two systems.
    Extended IDOCs
Extending the functionality by adding more segments to existing Basic IDOCs.
To Create Idoc we need to follow these steps:
    Create Segment ( WE31)
    Create Idoc Type ( WE30)
    Create Message Type ( WE81)
Assign Idoc Type to Message Type ( WE82)

  • Create Idoc from transaction

    Hi,
I want to create a Idoc from a transaction.
For example, if i will execute transaction "MM02" to change the material detail then i want to create a idoc for that changed material,
Does anyone have idea regarding this?
{{Actually remaining configuration i have done to sent a idoc from one system to other system but right now i am generating idoc manually using transaction "BD10" in which i am selecting the material manually.
    Now i want the whole procedure to be done automatically so that whenever a change in material will be done, a idoc will be generated.}}

Actually i have already set "Trigger idoc immediately" in WE20. I am using Transactional RFC instead of file in we21.
Configuration for WE21 is for port defination i am using transactional RFC which is defined in SM59.
In WE20 i am creating Logical system in which i am using message type MATMAS in outbound for which i am using transactional RFC in receiver port.Output mode i am choosing "TransferIdoc immediately". and Idoc type is "MATMAS02".
In BD50 i am assigning change pointer to "MATMAS".
Also i have created distribution model but i am not able to distribute which i have already told u.
At the receiver side i am creating another logical system in WE20 in which i am defining message type "MATMAS" as inbound parameter.Process Code is "MATM". and i am choosing "Trigger immediately" in processing option.
So this is the configuration i have done and i m able to send idoc successfully but still i cant make it automatically. I have to use transaction bd21 to create idoc from change pointer. This is the only problem i am getting.
So anything else is required to be done????????

  • Setting margins for "Create PDF from Clipboard"

I'm posting this because I could not find another question that dealt with my problem directly, but after A LOT of searching, and a few failed attempts, I did find the solution.
Problem: When creating a PDF from content copied to the clipboard from a webpage, everything on the page was way off-center, with almost no left margin.
Once the PDF was created, since there is no easy way to adjust page margins, the only way to center everything would have been one page at a time (for 24 pages), by dragging the page contents manually to the center of the page. I tried using the "Set Page Boxes" function, but I ended up with 24 blank pages. Yes, I could export the PDF as a Word document, and then reprint that Word document as a PDF, but I knew there had to be a simpler way.
Solution: When you create a PDF from a clipboard containing text (or in the case of the above document, text and images), Acrobat uses the settings for "Create PDF from Web Page."
Unfortunately, if you look up Convert clipboard content to PDF in Acrobat Help, it doesn't tell you that. AND the settings for "Create PDF from Web Page" are NOT included in the list of settings under Preferences > Convert to PDF. There is an HTML option in that list, but there are no editable settings for that file type (There are actually quite a few such file types listed there, and my question is, if there are no editable settings, why are they even listed under Preferences?). Batch Conversion of Text Files also uses the same settings.
So, here's how to do it:
Select File > Create > PDF from Web Page
    Click on Settings
To adjust the default margins for new PDF files created from a clipboard containing text, select the Page Layout tab, and adjust the margins to your liking. Notice how small the Default right and left margins are... hence my problem.
Click on OK to save your new settings, and the simply Cancel out of the "Create PDF from Web Page" dialog box. If you read this page, it says you have to actually create at least one PDF file using the "Create PDF from Web Page" dialog in order for your settings to stick, but I never did, and my settings were saved just fine.
If you're copying basic text (or converting text files), that's all there is to it.
With web page content, there could still be a problem (as there was with this web page), if the content you've selected is not the full width of the web page. I think this has to do with the fact that web pages often use Content Style Sheets to format their page elements, and those styles are transferred when you copy that content to the clipboard. The PDF page margins are technically correct now, as you can see by the position of the image at the top of the page, but the text portion (at the bottom of the page) of the PDF only fills the same percentage of the text area (between the margins) as it did on the web page.
The only solution I have found if this happens, is to export the PDF as a Word document, and adjust the margins there. In the document I was working with in these examples, there were boatloads of different invisible subsections to the document, and each subsection had different settings for right and left indent, fonts, font sizes, etc., so there was a lot more to it than a simple 'copy & paste' type of procedure. Once I corrected all the different elements (and this one had a whole lot of weirdness going on), and then printed it as a new PDF, everything looked much better.
Hopefully this helps someone else find their answer much easier than I found mine
And of course, comments and suggestions are welcome.

Thanks for asking. Yes, with either the Crop tool or the Set Page Boxes tool, I could trim the page just fine, removing the excess from the right side, but as soon as I tried to add space to the left side, it just blanked out the whole page. It seemed like it should have worked, and maybe on a simple text file it would have. But that particular array of content proved to be most troublesome.
I also could have just cropped the page down to 6.5 x 11, and then centered it when I printed it.
My primary goal in searching for the answer, and my main reason for posting this, was for setting the margins for future documents (and to help others find those settings, too). Since I still had the web address, I could easily recreate the PDF once I figured out how to set the margins. Of course I didn't realize that there would still be problems once I got the settings right. Like I said, that particular web page seemed to have several unique difficulties.

  • Create IDOC from file

I have received an IDOC order file, and I know there is a standard program RSEINB00 to create IDOC in system.
I would like to delete/add segments, change field contents in segements in the IDOC according to some of the segments in IDOC. Where can I manuplate it?
    Thanks for your advice.

I am not test an IDOC file. I regularly receive IDOC file and need to manuplate the content, e.g. delete some of the segments, determine and fill in field content in some segments.
I just wonder if I can change the IDOC content after it is created in system, just like what I can do in WE19, but using a program. Is there any standard program for this purpose?
Or is there any user exit I can use when creating IDOC from file?
    Thanks.

I'm looking for an example from the app gallery (http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/gallery/active-directory/) that uses WAAD for identity. I need one the show our business what the process would look like for an organization signing up for a SaaS offering
via the App Gallery. I know all the Microsoft applications use WAAD but I was hoping to find a third-party example.  What I mean is an app where all tenant and user identity is done using WAAD as opposed to federated identity.

I doubt that what you are looking for exists yet.

Be sure you can live with the graphics. If you do a lot of graphics work you might want to consider the MacBook Pro. I use my MacBook for video editing using Final Cut Express HD and it works well. The MB is also not very good for gaming if you are into that. The integrated chip set doesn't work well with 3D games.
also any other ideas on getting iwork or office, a hard plastic case or a skin, thanks alot for anyone's input it is greatly appreciated.... i am looking to get one once leopard comes out thanks!!
Depending on your school may be a factor in what you choose. I use iWork and it is pretty good. You could also try NeoOffice or Open Office. They are good also. Office is supposed to be coming out with a new Mac version but not sure yet how it will work.
Be sure to ask for the student discount when you purchase the computer and software. It adds up.

with an iphone 3G the most up to date ios is 4.2.1 so you have a problem because whatsapp requires a higher version.  If you saved an earlier version of whatsapp you could install that otherwise you cannot use the app.  You will need to get a more up to date phone

  • Steps for creating a custom outbound idoc

    Hi,
Can u please each and every step wise for the creation of the custom outbound idoc.
    Thanks
    Kiran Prasad.

friend before posting ur query, try to utilize the search tab in the forum, u can find the answer for ur query if not continue with postings.
Follow this link for step by step tutorial with screen shots
    http://www.****************/Tutorials/ALE/ALEMainPage.htm
    1. Create an IDOC Type.
The next step is to create an IDOC type by associating the extension type that you created with the Basic IDOC type. This is a simple process:
u2022 From transaction WE30 or WEDI go to Development -> IDOC Types.
u2022 Enter ZDEBMASZ for Object Name.
    u2022 Click on IDOC Type.
    u2022 Click on Create.
u2022 Enter DEBMAS02 for Basic IDOC type.
u2022 Enter ZDEBMASX for extension type.
    u2022 Enter a description.
    u2022 Enter.
u2022 You will see a display of the composite IDOC type with all segments, including Z1SADRX (see Figure 3).
It is possible to associate only one extension type with a Basic IDOC type for a given IDOC type. However, you can have multiple new segments in an extension type.
    2. Link IDOC Type to Message Type.
The next step is to link the new IDOC type to its corresponding message type. This is important, because this relationship is referenced in the partner profile parameters where you specify the message type and IDOC type to be used for that particular representative system. To link the message type:
u2022 Use transaction WE82, or from WE30, go to Environment -> IDOC Type / Message Type, or from WEDI go to Development -> IDOC Type -> Environment Î IDOC Type / Message Type.
u2022 Click on Display <-> Change.
    u2022 Click on New Entries.
u2022 Enter DEBMAS for message type.
u2022 Enter DEBMAS02 for Basic IDOC type.
u2022 Enter ZDEBMASX for extension type.
u2022 Enter your SAP R/3 release number for Release.
    u2022 Save.
This data is stored on the EDIMSG table and is accessed by several ALE processes to relate the message type to the IDOC type.
    3. Check the IDOC Type.
Before checking the IDOC type for consistency, it is important to perform another step that releases the extension type to the IDOC type:
u2022 From WEDI go to Development -> IDOC Types -> Extras -> Release Type, or from transaction WE30 go to Extras -> Release Type.

Take a look at this :
    http://www.sappoint.com/ppt/idoc.ppt
you need to create File port in Tr.WE21 , as file port
Then you have to sechdule the program RSEout00 to collect Idocs .
You can test it in Tr.WE19 , you can also use the Tr.BD87 to see your Idoc status
    Hope this’ll give you idea!!
    <b>P.S award the points.</b>
    Good luck

  • Create IDoc from flat file - How to do the message mapping

    Hi everybody,
I want to create an IDoc from a flat file.
The file structure looks like this:
    MT_XYZ
    - Node001       0...1
      - Leaf001
    - Node002       0...unbounded
       - Node003    0...1
          - Leaf002
          - Leaf003
       - Node004    0...1
          - Leaf004
       - Node005    0...1
          - Leaf005
I have created a mapping and all the other stuff to set up the IDoc adapter.
Now when I try to test the interface the IDoc is created properly but obviously no information from the nodes "Node003" to "Node005" is inserted in the IDoc. Only the information kept in the elements (leafs) of "Node001" are inserted.
All IDoc segments and their "Segment" elements are linked to the root node of the file structure "MT_XYZ". I tried to link some IDoc segments only to "Node002" but then this segment is not created.
So how can I set up the message mapping in a way that the information from "Node003" to "Node005" is transported to the IDoc? Can anyone help me here?
Thanks in advance for all answers!
    Regards,
    Torben

    Hi Torben,
    >>I want to create an IDoc from a flat file.
So you are using File content Conversion on the sender side. Right?
    >>no information from the nodes "Node003" to "Node005" is inserted in the IDoc.
Are these information available in the source XML (you can check in transaction SXMB_MONI-> Input Payload).. There is a limitation in File Content Conversion of File adapter and it is that I can make an XML structure of 3 level.. Since these nodes details are in level 4 and 5 they should be missing in Source XML structure itself (after content conversion of File adapter). check that
    >>So how can I set up the message mapping in a way that the information from "Node003" to "Node005" is transported to the IDoc? Can anyone help me here?
So you need to take an alternate approach where you do File Content Conversion and make 3 level structure.. then using a mapping convert this three level structure to your 5 level one and then try to map with the idoc.
Check this blog for an idea

    Hi,
your problem is just like filling the segements using the data in other segements. that means if you have knowledge of enhancing the idoc and populating the enhanced segments then in the same way you can populate the BATCH segment also.
you just go to the function module which will be creating the idoc(if its outbound) / function module which will be posting the idoc which is for inblund and then find the perform where it fills the segments ( it will be the one which you will use to fill the segment BATCH )and go that and at last of form you will find one customer function which you can use to fill the BATCH segment.
i think this will help u,
