Looking for crm software for mac

I am trying to figure out which crm software is the market leader for mac? Which offers ease of use for new users?

The best suggestion I could give you wouldn't be necessarily a Mac app, but its a cloud CRM written in HTML5 and CSS 3, so it's accessible from any browser and they have native mobile and desktop apps coming soon.
It's JobNimbus. By far the easiest CRM software to use, which is something you really have to look for. Everyone CRM says they're easy to use, but the industry in general just drowns in bad adoption rate (see here) because of the terrible software they make, so you have to get in and try it out.
JobNimbus has a free 30-day trial of their Pro version, but you can still use it after that as a Basic version with less features. It's also not just CRM, but also project management, so it makes it even easier to streamline your workflow.
Go ahead and check it out, maybe try it for a couple days and see what you think: http://www.jobnimbus.com. Their customer service rocks too. I'm using it and can tell you, you won't be disappointed.

  • Are there any fee for developing software for USB non NI harware?

We develop applications in LabView for pieces of hardware witch communicate via USB. Are there any fee for developing software for USB non NI harware?

If you really mean distributing software that you developed, then you and a lawyer might want to review the LabVIEW software license - especially the section on distribution requirements (in my 6.1 version it's section 12). You should also contact NI directly and ask them. This forum is primarily made up of LabVIEW end-users and any legal advice you get here is worth exactly what it costs, in other words, nothing.

  • Suggestions for CRM software?

Does anyone have a suggestion for Mac-compatible CRM software with a single-user license (or anything under 3-4 users)?
I realize this is the Leopard forum, but there really isn't a forum for non-Apple software questions.
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

I have used it for 4 years now (since V 1.0) and am still pretty happy with it. I thinks it's the best around so far.
Chrisnz -- i tried Daylite out and it seemed busy with features and quite slow... The most usable product I've found has been Highrise HQ from 37 Signals, but it is web based and has no pipeline. I am considering developing a custom app in filemaker at this point and may market it when done...

  • The Recommended pages for updating software for my mac are no longer maintained by Apple. Any thoughts?

Although in my System information it lists my Mac as running OS X 10.9.5, it was not the case. My system was running browsers in an older version. When I asked for support, I was pointed to Recommended Articles about updating and installing software and firmware for my Intel-based Mac, however the pages say that they are out of date and no longer updated by Apple. Any suggestions? I have a Mac 20" Fall 2007 model.

When using the About this Mac selection from the Finder menu below the Apple icon,
in the little window of that name, when you click the information immediately below
the OS X, that should say Version 10.9.5, then click the same place again, and Build
number (may vary) should appear; click a third time and your product Serial number
appears. You can use this information to help correctly identify the OS X & build series.
Also, the total of memory RAM installed, appears; so does the processor specification.

There are other places to look in the running system, to tell if you may have a second
system, a different partition, or other questionable action going on. There is a way to
use the command line in Terminal to see what is going on, and other less complex ways
for a lay-person who is not experienced, to look at some information reports that can be
generated. One of them is the etrecheck report. It will show what is in the computer. But
not an entire complement of information that a inquiry via Terminal utility can.

Not sure exactly what the issue is you are facing, the computer may or may not have
a problem; what made you try to update software? If it has Mavericks, what does the
App Store or Software Update page show you? Do not upgrade to try & solve an issue.
Hopefully some information gained will be of help.
If the computer says it has Mavericks 10.9.5, it
probably does. However, what you need or hope
it to accomplish may require a different direction.
It may have older applications, or other problem.
    Good luck & happy computing!

  • Looking for Genealogy Software for MAC

Hi, everyone - I'm not sure if this is the best place to post this, but ...
I want to install a family tree program that can interface with Family Tree Maker from Windows. What's the best out there for my MacBook?
    Matt

Try Heredis. It is cheaper than Reunion and has a similar entry interface and display interface and the print outs, source procedures and such are much the same. Another interesting one is Mac Family Tree, which is not a Mac version of Family Tree or Family tree maker. FTM has a different entry interface but once you get used to it it works. It has a 3D family tree display. The whole tree that is. This was defective but now gives correct relationships, and kinship reports. The 'home page' so to speak is different but again will suit you provided you haven't got used to the ways of Reunion and the others.
Despite the existence of computer backups and gedcom file backups, it is a good idea to have what is about your most hard won data in more than one application. Genealogical data does not come easy.

  • Look for *.wmv software for BlackBerry 8900

I was looking for wmv file able to use on blackberry 8900 because I got from email that have send *.wmv file into media player but it didnt works because this blackberry medai player only accept to  *.3GP file. Do you know what the name of software that can download into blackberry for *.wmv file.

No. Scroll down into the body of the KB...while the 8900 is indeed neglected in the KB heading, it is listed in the body of the KB and with WMV support. Hence, my theory is that the WMV you are receiving is outside of the acceptable parameters for playback on your BB via the native media player. It would need to be transcoded into an acceptable format in order to playback reliably. You can use RIM's desktop software with Media Manager to do that -- other solutions also exist. But, the native file you are receiving appears, from the data you've presented, to be outside of the acceptable range of playback parameters for your BB.

  • Need for virus software for iMac OSX

I am using a fairly new iMac with OSX 10.5.8 and high speed wireless internet access. My internet service provider has offered Norton Security Suite as part of my high speed internet package; I have heard numerous times in the past that the Mac OS doesn't require installed virus protection software but I need your opinion on the value of this product to help protect my iMac.
    Thanks for your help -

    Welcome to the Apple discussions.
As mentioned, don't use Norton's security suite, as there have been issues with Norton products on macs. While many will say that no antivirus protection is needed, I do use ClamXav, and would recommend it, for two reasons. One, while it is highly unlikely that there will be virus issues, like the stock market, past performance is no guarantee of future performance, and second, I wouldn't want to pass something on to Windows friends that has an embedded Windows virus. I have ClamXav set up to scan email and file downloads. ClamXav can be downloaded from http://www.clamxav.com

It does not make a lot of sense to optimize a physical schema if you don't know how the schema is going to be used:

Design the data model with the goal of good performance
Typically, attempts to use generic data models result in poor performance. A well-designed data model answer the most common queries as efficiently as possible. For example, the data model should use the type of indexes that provide the best performance. Tuning after deployment is undesirable because changes to logic and physical structures may be difficult or impossible.

  • Any recommendations for encryption software for iPhone?

    Hi,
I want to store some work data on my new iPhone. A mixture of file types - documents, pictures, Powerpoint, applications.
I also want to keep some of my home information - such as documents, pictures, apps.
Where can I put them on the iPhone, and can I encrypt them in a few folders to keep the data secure?
    Thanks
    Pete

Actually there are a few apps that do just that. I personally use MobileFinder, but there is also datacase and others I can't remember.
However these are not password protected they simply allow you to transfer documents onto the iphone and view them. MobileFinder has limited text editing facilities.
Theres an application called PicVault which allows the encrypted storage of pictures, using a password.

  • Looking for PDF Software

I couldn't find an appropriate category for this question. I'm looking for PDF software for my Mac. Adobe Acrobat Writer is ridiculously expensive so I'm wondering if anyone else uses another PDF writer. Also wondering how old a version of Adobe Writer will run on my 2006 Intel MacBook.

A basic work around, with a few possible issues, may be to use the
Print option to 'save as pdf' so using another application and see if
this works (outside of saving a web page or other content) with a
word processing application, such as Text Edit.
There may be a way to use an older Adobe Acrobat (for OS X) in
the later version on Intel hardware, since it may be able to work
in Rosetta environment; this will consume more system resources
if it does work there. The ideal minimum system requirements are
on the retail packaging for Adobe Acrobat related products; so the
manufacturer's web page or some other information source may be
able to shed more light on these details in obsolete software.
Of course, since the Intel Mac can't run Classic/9 that limits useful
yet out of date other versions of older Acrobat or Adobe products.
There should be a support forum for Adobe acrobat and other apps
directly linked to their site online.
There may be some freeware or shareware capable of making .pdfs
from other documents, not sure how advanced they'd be. For a time
I had a few freeware utilities for working with .pdf items, to combine
and compress; and break them smaller so I could email them, some
years ago when attachments had to be smaller than in gmail.
In a google search window, you could find and screen some possible
options; I noticed (without entering mac or osx) I get some options in
a list possible pre-search topics when just entering ' make pdf ' in a
new google search box; other choices appear below my entry...
By adding the suffix ' mac os x ' to my search terms, I get proof of
concept (been using it for years) of making a pdf document from
a text editor or word processor document, by using Print options:
"How to create adobe acrobat PDF documents"
    http://clc.its.psu.edu/Labs/Mac/help/software/howtocreatepdfs.aspx
There may be a freeware utility among the download links at
VersionTracker or macupdate pages; among their other items.
Also, in Apple Support there are third party software D/L links.
In shareware applications for handling pdf content, there are
editors which allow one to edit or use pdf documents that are
blank or need words added, and correct or fill them out; or
to change content on documents you have authorization for.
This usually costs. A few may provide a limited use demo.
An example of a shareware editor tool (not free) is this one:
PDF Editor Tool - PDF Studio - edit pdf on Linux, Mac, Windows:

  • Need AV or IS Software for Mac with Windows apps?

I would like to know if it is advisable to install anti-virus or Internet security software on a Mac if you run both Mac and Windows applications. I ask this question because I understand that those programs may not as necessary for Mac applications only but I wonder if the Windows applications that I installed under Parallels Desktop 7 will cause the computer to be  vulnerable. I also wonder whether in installation of the AV or IS software will protect both the Mac and Windows virtual machines. Thanks

Antivirus software for OS X is not necessary. However if you run MS Windows in any fashion meaning via Boot Camp or virtualization software such as Parallels or Fusion then you should treat the MS Windows installation as you would ANY MS Windows installation, in other words install antivirus software for MS Windows! The good news is even if your MS Windows becomes totally diseased this will in no way affect the OS X installation.
In your case because you have installed Windows in Parallels then get yourself some antivirus software for MS Windows and install away. You can resist the urge for antivirus software for OS X though for many reasons, first an foremost is there are zero (none, nada, zip) viruses for OS X. While there are some trojans out there for OS X they are few and far between. The primary difference between a Trojan and virus is that Trojans must be downloaded and installed by the user. The lesson to learn here is  only download from trusted sites and any site that tells you to download something should be approached with a great deal of caution. In other words if you aren't sure don't do it and come to a these forums and ask. The next reason OS X doesn't need antivirus software is most take up a lot resources on your computer and slow it down, and finally many tend to create more problems than they solve. If you still aren't convinced then download ClamXav, it's free, unobtrusive and kept up-to-date.

  • Looking for spyware software.

Im looking for spyware software for Vista. I want to record all use of my computer by my kids. Anyone have experience with this type of software?
    Thanks all!
    Captain

Do you mean you are looking for "Parental Monitoring" software? I know it is the same thing but your searches will definitely return different (and better) responses if you look for that term.
Such software is built into MacOS X. You could ditch Vista and just use that. Otherwise, you'll have to ask Microsoft or look elsewhere. For us Apple users, this is a problem that was solved some time ago.
